Know what? Imma speak out about something rq
With how many people I see who use they/them and/or binary pronouns next to neopronouns, there is an equal, if not moreso amount of people not using or disrespecting that person's neos.
I would know. Whether or not people intend to -- nobody uses my neos. When I actually prefer them over my other pronouns.
'Then why'd you put your most preferred pronouns, vi/vir, and the other neos, at the end of your pronouns list? And why do you not say those are your pronouns in real life?'
I put them on the end because I used to prioritize vi/vir in the front, but it simply confused people. Plus, I don't want people to feel obligated to use my neos if they do not know how to use them. Most people looked at 'vi/they/he' and just used 'they' anyways. People usually only use they! Nobody uses my other pronouns, because 'they' is in the front of my pronouns list. My real life friends only use 'he' because I introduced my pronouns as 'they or he', and we have a transgender friend and he uses 'he/him', so they use that on me to avoid confusion apparently.
And the reason I never say my neos in real life is because I'm afraid. I can simply mention vi/vir on RecRoom and get brutally harassed until they kick me from the server, (infront of my friend, who happens to be the first trans person on RecRoom! And she has even admitted to me she almost wanted to use neopronouns at one point and she respects them), even though I'm a well-known creator and club leader on that game, (I run the official Security Breach Club on the front page of a FNaF club search), all because of my pronouns. People on that game refused to acknowledge they were legitimate pronouns, some even called the pronouns 'fake' and said I was transphobic for using the pronouns.
What would happen in real life? In a school filled with people who fucking hate me anyways? Would it make the very few people who respect me, lose that respect? Would they hate me; would they think I'm nothing but a faker asshole aswell?
Why can't the only place I'm able to use these pronouns comfortably, be the place where people respect them?
And for the record, some people only use neos, and I have seen that on the RecRoom game too! I've respected their pronouns and they nearly fucking exploded. Most people just use they/them on these people, which is not the pronouns they want used and they make that clear. Only use they/them if you don't know their pronouns, not in a deliberate fashion to disrespect them! That's not why we use gender neutral pronouns in the first place!
Please, if someone has xe/hir pronouns, use hir pronouns. If someone uses they/it/zir pronouns, be respectful to them, and make its day by saying one word, one damn thing, to show people that you respect zir pronouns -- and you will die on that hill. If someone uses she/they pronouns, use her pronouns, and show them you care!
And in my case, if I use they/he/vi/zie/fae pronouns, use them. You don't have to use all, I don't want to pressure people, but please..don't just use one. Vi/vir are the pronouns I really love here, they were my first neos. Only 3 people have ever used them in the few years I've used them, and they majorly fucked up. But you know what? I almost cried. Why?
Because they tried to use my correct pronouns and respect me.

Hello! I'm doing some research on fae/faer pronouns. I was searching through the results of previous census, and I was hoping I could get some information that was collected, but not posted publicly in the results spreadsheet. I found the post, "on fae/faer pronouns and cultural-appropriation", and it stated that fae/faer pronouns were reported on the 2013 census in May of that year. I was curious, what percentage of respondents reported the use of these pronouns? Thanks!
Only one person wrote "fae" into the pronoun box. At that time it wasn't a checkbox option and there were only 2,062 responses, so I suspect this information can't be considered reliable or representative!

Hi! My name's Ace, and since I started using neos, I realized not a lot of people know how to use fae/faer, and as I prefer those over most others, I'd like to make a quick little guide on using them.
The way I think about it is that it's similar to they/them, and that's a simple way to explain it.
They went to the park = Fae went to the park
That's their notebook = That's faer notebook.
No, that table's reserved for them. = That table's reserved for faer.
I also use he/him, so if you know me and are still getting the hang of neos, just call me he! I don't mind.
Edit: Many people don't know how to pronounce fae/faer, so here's a little guide.
Fae (Pronounced fay)
Faer (pronounced fair)

Thoughts on this person’s take that fae/faer is appropriating Celtic culture? At first I thought they were a terf but no, they hate terfs and apparently are dating a transfem. So I would take that into account at least before jumping to conclusions on the motive for saying this. I am asking opinions because I’m genuinely unsure. https://www.tumblr.com/addi-dot-com/
I'm a pagan who believes in the fae. It's not appropriation to use fae/faer even if you aren't Celtic and don't believe in the fae.
In my experience, pagans and Celts are not the ones expressing issues with fae/faer. It's people trying to speak for us and use us to justify exclusion that claim it's appropriation.
The fae are not a unique concept to the Celts, which means using the word cannot be appropriation. Many different cultures and religions all have different versions of the fae or fairies.
Plus the fact that the majority of us don't give a shit if you do. Almost every neopronoun supporting pagan and Celt that I've seen support the use of fae/faer or are at least neutral about it.
I can speak personally to many pagan circles supporting fae/faer (the main ones who don't are pagan terfs, which are unfortunately a big problem in the pagan community)
Pretty much the only argument I could actually see against fae/faer is that some pagans won't say "fae" out loud (since you never know when the Fair Folk are watching).
But I don't think that should stop anyone from using fae/faer if you want to. You officially have a pagan's permission lmao

Immersion and Pronouns
Must be nice to be able to boot up a game and get lost and immersed in a new fantasy and sci-fi world without the game ever asking you for your pronouns. What a luxury it must be to have a world that you can go to where the difficulties of the current day can melt away from your brain and you don't even have to think about what's going on in your life because this game accepts you with open arms, as you are, and you can just let it all unwind and drift away. I used to know what that was like. Until, of course, I finally got around to asking and answering some deep personal questions about myself. Questions that were very important to me, and that I'm very happy I was finally able to answer. Of course, once I had those answers, it meant that I also had the knowledge that life would no longer offer me that kind of luxury anymore. Because being a man that looked the way people expect men to or a woman who looks the way people expect women to (mostly) has always been an acceptable way to exist among the stars. But what about people like me? Where is my immersion? Where is my safe place away from the troubles of the world? Where can I go where I know that the CURRENT DAY will not come assault my brain at every opportunity? It must be nice to have a place like that. I used to have one. And now I don't. Because while all the He/Him's and the She/Her's have had those spaces for what must seem like eternity. The They/Them's and It/its' and Fae/Faer's and Xe/Xyr's of this world (and make no mistake, those are people I am talking about, not just parts of speech) haven't had places like that. And every time someone tries to build a place for them where they can, someone else enters that space and loudly reminds us about just how difficult our CURRENT DAY is. Be being the thing we have to live despite. Personally, I am a She/Her and a Fae/Faer. And while one of those is usually given a seat at the table, that is nowhere near all of me. There is always a part of me I have to put aside in order to even approach that kind of immersion. And even then I am not always allowed it. A dropdown box or a fill in section on a character sheet might be a little new and jarring for those that have had that space for so long, I promise that this is in no way a means of taking away your space. It is only an attempt to allow more people into that space. You might find that, with time, this will no longer be an issue of the CURRENT DAY. But if you let it be, this might just be the way things are. Because that space was never outside the CURRENT DAY. It was always inside it. So genuinely, sincerely, I don't mean to break your immersion. But, if it's alright. Might I have a space where I can let my brain have a rest from the difficulties and politics of the modern day? I promise there will always be a space for you. I just ... want that space back. To remember what it was like to let the CURRENT DAY fade away. And just immerse myself, my *whole* self, in the stars, or a fantasy. You wouldn't want to take that immersion away from me, would you?
