To celebrate the release of my Mysterious Joker × Twisted Wonderland fan fiction story, Miracle Maker In Twisted Wonderland, I decided to make this tag/drawing challenge where artists draw their TWST OCs or Yuu/MC character(s) as Phantom Thieves!

These drawings will be in the form of character cards. Here are the background pictures for the R and SR cards (if you want to draw your character as an SSR card, then you can draw your own background for it)

Your characters' outfits must be based on other phantom thieves (or regular thieves) outfits. But the character you based your outfit on don't have to be from Mysterious Joker (for example: Kaito Kid from Magic Kaitou 1412, or Sampo Koski from Honkai Star Rail)

Here are some phantom thief outfit examples from Mysterious Joker:

The outfits color scheme must be the same as your OC's dorm color scheme. But if you're doing a Yuu/MC character, then you can do whatever color scheme you want.

You may give your character a mask or monocle to wear on their face.

You can draw more than one character for this challenge. But please post them separately.

If your Yuu/MC character(s) are from different fandoms, you are still allowed to do a drawing of them.

You are allowed to make a drawing of canon TWST characters for this challenge.

Hey!! I finally have something to post for WIP Wednesday for the first time in forever!! Thank you thank you to @porcelainmortal and @tailsbeth-writes for the early tags. This is a low key demon x demon hunter au of sorts?? I dunno it was kind of influenced by Nikolai and Zoya from King of Scars, but I twisted it and made it something different. So have some demon hunter!Henry!

When Alex comes to, a smile of anticipation curls across his lips.

He's shackled in chains, his pajamas bedraggled, hair an unkempt mess, and of course, Henry is scoffing at him. 

"We've got to stop meeting like this, sweetheart," he says with mock seriousness. His throat is rough, and the words scratch as they leave him hoarsely. The transformation always leaves him in a broken state, bones aching, joints stiff, and exhaustion cloaking him. Becoming a demon overnight would appear not to be easy work—not that he ever remembers it. It’s like a night of heavy drinking where he has plenty of fun, but the lights aren’t on, and he can’t remember any of the shenanigans come morning time.

Gentle, prying fingers tug at Alex’s jaw, and he’d not realized his head was lulling so dangerously to the side until Henry’s steadying him, helping him stay upright. “How are you feeling?” Henry asks, his brow furrowed and his eyes dark with concern.

“Not great,” Alex admits as he clears his throat and tests the chains restraining his hands. He’s leaned against a wall in some abandoned warehouse, somewhere he doesn’t recognize, but Henry’s here, and that’s … something. They go through this every so often, though now it’s becoming a more frequent occurrence.

Last Line Challenge

The last lines I wrote (not edited) is from a relatively new WIP and here it goes:

Ahsoka was concentrated on her bond with Anakin the whole time while helping the rescue team. And so she noticed, barely 10 minutes into shifting the rocks around, the flash of pain and helplessness leaking through the bright bond in the Force

“Anakin” She murmured in shock and tried to send some kind of message through the bond but as fast as the flash reached her, it went silent again.

2. Which one are you finding the hardest to finish? Why do you think that is?

Dating lessons from Chim fic is giving me the most trouble. Just can’t get the thing to work

3. What does it usually look like when inspiration strikes for you?

Quite often a song will kick off an idea but my mind does wander a lot and ideas hit in flashes that I tend to build stories around

The bee one for example was inspired after I had to rescue a bee from a coffee shop

4. Do you curate playlists for each fic or is your process different?

Nope

5. Do you go balls to the wall and write as you go or are you more organised?

Balls to the walls all the way - I am not a planner!! start at the end go to the start build back from the middle then see what happens 😉

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 45

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 208,023. And that's a bit surprising because a bunch of my longer fics are only on AHA or my website.

3. What fandoms do you write for? Mostly Jane Austen, all novels, Elizabeth Gaskell (Wives & Daughters), and Anne Bronte (The Tenant of Wildfell Hall). I have also technically written Oscar Wilde and My Happy Marriage, but those were very transformative.

I also have written some fics based on Kdramas, mostly for Alchemy of Souls.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

A Ride to Netherfield - Jane breaks her leg on the way to Netherfield and must stay for a month. Short one-shot (6k) and the first Pride & Prejudice variation I wrote.

Of Every Elizabeth - short and sweet Pride & Prejudice fluff, Darcy has nicknames for the plethora of Elizabeth's he's met over the course of his life (it was a super common name at the time)

Carry Me! - three vignettes of Jang Uk and Cho Yeong from Alchemy of Souls after they are married

The Fourth Bennet Sister - long fic (30k words), Pride & Prejudice variation where Kitty Bennet becomes aware that she is in a novel. She desperately tries to protect her sisters from harm.

All's Fair in Love and War - short Pride & Prejudice variation. Mrs. Bennet has weaponized compromise, men live in constant fear of being forced to marry.

5. Do you respond to comments? Yep. Every time.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Umm.... I'm not good at writing angst. I don't like characters to suffer for too long.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? All of them?

8. Do you get hate on fics? Yes, because I dared to write Mr. Darcy marrying Anne Elliot. People get more angry about that for some reason than Elizabeth Bennet marrying Captain Wentworth in the same fic. Someone even told me Darcy would rather "throw himself off of Pemberley" rather than marry anyone other than Elizabeth. (Fic is called One Week Late)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I have written smut a few times, it's pretty vanilla because I am pretty vanilla. I was reading Victorian erotica when I wrote my longest one, A Little Before Their Marriage (Jane & Bingley fic).

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I constantly write crossovers, my first published novel is a massive crossover, Prideful & Persuaded. One of my fun shorts is Fall on the Sword, where every canonically single woman in Austen's novels decides if they want to try for the recently divorced Mr. Rushworth.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not as far as I know.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, though someone did translate one of my meta posts from Tumblr. That was cool.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, The Marriage Contest with Branch Cloudsky and two with Amelia Marie Logan, Poor Caroline and Inferior Connections. All Pride & Prejudice fics, all funny. (You need an AO3 account for that one, the other two are on my personal website)

14. What’s your all time favourite ship? Catherine Morland & Henry Tilney. They are the only Austen couple I cannot bear to break up.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I am writing a queer retelling of Emma called "Different Ways of Being in Love", where Jane Fairfax and Emma were lovers as teenagers, Jane is bi, Emma is a lesbian, and Mr. Knightley is ace, but I got stuck on the middle part. Someday hopefully!

16. What are your writing strengths? I'm told I write some pretty hilarious farces. I am told I do characterization well, which is my main goal when writing fan fiction. I try to stick as close to canon as possible.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I don't write enough filler or develop things well enough. I like writing action.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I would possibly try my hand at French, but probably never. I also have a lot of trouble reading accented speech (looking at you Wuthering Heights), so I'd probably never write it.

19. First fandom you wrote for? I am fairly certain I started writing a fix-it fic for Nineteen Eighty-Four after I read it in high school. Not sure I would be able to locate it but it did exist. The first since I started writing again was a sequel to Pride & Prejudice.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written? Probably Unfairly Caught (my other published work) or The Fourth Bennet Sister. I NEEDED to write a Mansfield Park fic because I hate the ending, so it fixed my dissatisfied feelings. My goal is to edit The Fourth Bennet Sister and get it published sometime this year.

3. What fandoms do you write for? I've dabbled in quite a few over the years, but the ones I've written the most fics for are doctor who (eleven/amy) teen wolf (sterek) and the owl house (huntlow)

Hmm probably The Courtesan and the Writer (doctor who | eleven/amy) I used to dabble in angst a bit more when I first started writing fic, but these days all my fics are pretty much guaranteed to have a happy ending, because real life is hard enough lol

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Pretty much all my fics have happy endings, but one of the happiest I wrote would probably be my huntlow college AU Until You Meet Someone Who Makes The Fall Feel Like Flying

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I wouldn't call it outright hate, but I have gotten a handful of rude comments over the years (complaining that I don't post often enough, telling me my headcanons are wrong, telling me how they think my story should have ended — one time someone yelled at me in all caps because I said that a character chilled red wine lol that one was wild)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do! Smut is fun. Mine is typically more focused on the emotional aspect than the physical, is usually the result of a long tension-fueled slow burn buildup, and is usually tooth-rottingly fluffy, soft, and sweet.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I have! Back in the days where superwholock plagued tumblr, I wrote one of the silliest cross-overs imaginable, combining doctor who, torchwood, bbc sherlock, supernatural, the avengers, and sleepy hollow: Lords, Gods, and Madmen

Yup 🙃

Yes!

I think my top three ships are reflected in who I've written the most fic for: huntlow, sterek, and the eleventh doctor/amy pond

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

Luckily, everything that's posted to AO3 is finished, but at this point I'm thinking I'll probably never get around to writing the little nightmares, reylo, and captain swan WIPs I've had sitting in my drafts since 2019

16. What are your writing strengths?

I've been told I capture the characters really well, which means a lot to me. I've also been told that my writing is cozy and comforting and fills people with warm fuzzy feelings, which is always nice to hear 🥰

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I will sit there and agonize over the same paragraph trying to make it sound perfect instead of just letting the writing flow, so sometimes a fic will be in the works for a very long time until it's finally ready to be posted (by which time I'm probably sick of it and never want to look at it again 😂)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I've dabbled in this a little bit, but it's usually been plot-relevant, like a character learning to speak the language (i.e. when Hunter tried to learn Spanish in Being Human.) When I do write in another language, I always do my best to research and try to get the translations as accurate as possible, and I always include the English translation either in the fic itself or as an author's note so readers don't have to break away from my fic to google anything. (And also so that they know what my intention was, on the off-chance I translated something wrong and accidentally wrote something offensive.) 19. First fandom you wrote for?

Does anyone remember that vampire show that came out back in like 2009? Moonlight? Yeah, that one lol

20. Favourite fic you've ever written? God, that's like asking me to pick my favorite child. Okay fine, it's Until You Meet Someone Who Makes The Fall Feel Like Flying

Last Six Lines

So I was tagged by @crossroadsdimension for this. The rules are - Share the last 6 lines you wrote and then tag 6 friends!

So I’m currently writing the climax in chapter 9 of my new fic “Heavily Colored by Circumstance” so I will be censoring these a bit to not reveal some very pertinent info.

“Actually, where is that?”

Suribachi City.

Dazai knew it in an instance.

But more specifically, it was a teetering alleyway and building within the slums, a place that no one in their right mind would note, much less *censored for plot spoilers*

And to be even more precise, it was the very spot where Chuuya had kicked Dazai during their first meeting and then planted his foot right on (and in some ways, in) his heart.

The place where their strings of fate had intertwined.

So, uh, have fun guessing what’s up with that.

The sun came up as he started picking the splinters out of his palms. He’d climbed to the front of the car and found a spot to perch behind the coupling, the lulling beat of the train tracks clacking from below. Swathes of cracked wheat and gold peaked from behind the curtain of trees that paralleled the tracks, whooshing by too fast and too slow depending on where he was looking. College Station had all but disappeared. Wasn’t even a thought on Robert’s new horizons, so deliriously drunk he was off this one glorious ounce of freedom.
