Long time no see…

Hello to my 2,000+ followers! It’s been a long time since I’ve logged into tumblr let alone posted. Life is crazy busy so I won’t be on often.

I wanted to make a PSA regarding my fanfiction works. I have never and will never own the characters I’ve written about, they are the sole and exclusive property of D.G. With the sudden rise of newer fans of multiple fandoms selling PDFs and/or bound copies of fanfiction I wanted to make it known I do not endorse this behavior and actions. This is illegal and could mean the end of fanfiction as we know it.

On top of that atrocity, AI bots are scalping fanfiction to feed into their algorithms. And with a recent update, it appears this platform is also allowing AI bots to scalp our content to feed into this system. As a creative professionally, I abhor AI generated content.

Because of the reasons above, I’m currently debating on whether or not to pull my fic from all platforms. In the coming days, your favorite fics of mine may be gone forever.

What's up, everybody? I apologize for the long delay because I've been so busy for a few months and haven't posted anything ever since, but here I am in my brand new comfortable house where I have so much privacy for myself to work peacefully now! I might share about my new place tomorrow because I haven't got much time left for today. In the meantime, I would like to announce a new Trolls Band Together-related fanfiction I'm planning to make because I knew that idea would be amusing for you to see.

The story's synopsis: After a successful rescue mission at Mount Rageous, Branch and his four brothers – John Dory, Bruce, Clay and Floyd – are ready to hit the spotlight in their new era of music and happiness as the harmonious boy band collectively known as BroZone. As they prepare for their next big concert, an unexpected magical accident landed on the brothers. They've all been transformed into…CATS! Branch, who's long been facing a similar dilemma in the past, must lead his brothers on a new adventure to find a cure before it's too late, and before they drive each other crazy.

Here's what each BroZone brother look like when they've been turned into cats! Unlike Branch, his four older brothers' accessories became smaller after they've transformed.

1. Branch

• Branch was still the same little cat we all know and love in Nine Lives, One Fight. The only exception was that his cat form will be more modified in this story, and he will be dancing for the first time in feline mode.

2. John Dory

• John Dory's feline body shape looks incredibly chubby and adorable, and his legs are thick and stubby. He had a thin tail that was shorter than Branch's. In addition, his green goggles got shrunken down and remained attached to his forehead. To complete his look, John Dory decided to put a cat-sized version of his spotted white furry scarf around his neck in order to match his usual clothing because he didn't want to be completely unclothed in his new form.

3. Bruce

• Bruce was a fat tabby cat with his design bearing a striking resemblance to Garfield the cat. He had blue fur, four dark blue stripes on his back, and a big tail with a thick dark blue tip. His four legs and paws are larger than any of his brothers, his cat ears are quite smaller, and his whiskers are slightly longer. As with John Dory's goggles, Bruce's necklace accessory also shrunk along with the rest of his body.

4. Clay

• Clay becomes a slimmer cat with thinner legs, a skinnier tail, and longer ears and whiskers. His teeth were much sharper than his brothers'. As with John Dory's green goggles and Bruce's necklace, his wristbands got shrunken down to cat-size as well.

5. Floyd

• Because he had the similar body shape as Branch's when he was a Troll, Floyd's cat body shape looks identical to his own cat form and he was just about the same size as him. His black earring gets shrunk and became attached to his left cat ear, which used to be his left pointed normal one. My headcanon is that Branch would purr along with him whenever they were with each other.

Yes, I know it would be great to make Branch's four brothers as cats because their littlest brother had been one ever since the previous fanfiction, Nine Lives, One Fight. CatZoned serves as a sequel to Branch's first cat adventure, and I'm thrilled to share another purr-fect story to everyone in the fandom. Unlike my past fanfictions, creating this story would require enhanced editing skills on my photos, so I hope to get it done by late 2024 or early 2025 if I’m risking it all to do it. Wish me luck on all the hard work I needed to do! 😄

Plus, I've updated my profile banner at the same time as the announcement! My 2021 profile photo would still remain though, but it still goes along with it. What do you think? 😉

Oh, and by the way, my birthday was scheduled for this coming Thursday. If any one of you would like to create BroZone's cat forms similar to what I did, I was hoping that would amuse me a lot more. 😊

Dont ask me how those three got stuck together or whats going on. I do not know. Appearently none of them have powers right now and can't escape thier wild portal based rollercoster ride. Here's the thing:

Everyone is allowed to have and voice their opinions, sure. However, I see no point in going to an author and announcing you're not reading their story anymore. People write fanfiction out of love for the source material and because it's a way to express ourselves with others around us.

It's okay if a story isn't for you. If you've been reading it and suddenly realise it's not something you want to read any longer, it's okay to drop it. However, be mindful that you are going directly to the author when you send asks or drop replies. We are going to read that and often wonder what we did wrong... it can potentially cause us to eclipse our creativity, especially when we're already struggling with putting something out there.

There is literally no benefit from telling a writer that you're leaving. This is not an airport. No need to announce your departure.

Introducing a Harry Potter fest to haunt you…

Gothic Fantasy Fest is a Harry Potter fanworks fest dedicated to and centered around our love for the gothic horror genre!

This fest is hosted by The Writing Heirs of Slytherin Discord Server.

Fest Information

The inspiration to host this fest came out of our desire to see more fanworks in the fandom where the darkness within us all is celebrated, embraced, and reveled in.

The premise for this fest is simple: Create any fanwork (fic or fanart) you like, ensuring that your main protagonist of your work is a Slytherin!

But, and this is where the challenge comes in... your fanwork must incorporate one of the gothic horror prompts that we have provided and must be in the gothic horror genre!

We hope, through participating in this fest, that you’ll allow yourself to indulge in what haunts you most!

Fest Rules

All levels of writers and artists are welcome! Even if this is your first fest!

All pairings and ship types (platonic, couples, and polyships) are allowed in this fest. You may also choose to focus your fanwork on only one character.

Ensure that your main character of your fanwork is a Slytherin (no exceptions)!

Any Slytherin from any of the Wizarding World eras is welcome. You may also choose to headcanon a non-Slytherin character as a Slytherin.

Your fanwork must incorporate one of the 99 gothic horror prompts that we provide. There are 12 additional Author/Artist’s choice prompts, however, those are first come, first serve. So, they will go quick!

Ensure that your fanwork qualifies as gothic horror. Read our full rules at the link listed below for further clarification on this.

The darker your fic the better, as this fest is the perfect opportunity to create some dark, morally gray, and/or dead-dove works!

Authors: there is no maximum word count for your work. But there is a minimum word count of 1,000 words.

Artists: As long as you follow the guidelines above, you may submit any form of fanart you like, including moodboards! However, AI-generated work and commissioned work from other artists may NOT be submitted!

This fest is an Author/Artist Revealed event. Your fanwork will be revealed on the dates listed above. When the fest is over, we will highlight your fanwork across our social media from Oct. 24th - Oct. 30th.

You do not have to be a member of The Writing Heirs of Slytherin Discord to participate in this fest. However, we do recommend joining so that you can be in contact with other Gothic Fantasy Fest participants! It’s also the quickest way to get a hold of the admin team!

“I would have let you sleep, but I want to make sure to get you cleaned up, fed, and taken care of, Cariño…” Rafael hummed lovingly.

You now flipped over to your other side slowly as you could feel your impending soreness. Now facing your boyfriend, you looked at his pearly green, caring eyes and your heart melted.

You leaned in just enough to gently place your lips on his. It was a light kiss, short and sweet, but filled with so much unsaid love and care. You then pulled away, too soon for both of your liking, but content at the same time.

“Mmmm thank you… you’re so kind to me…” you hum, your mind still a little fuzzy.

At this, Rafael brought his hands up to your cheeks, and his gaze bore into yours.

It was Rafael’s turn to press his lips against yours now, before pulling away after a moment with a smile.

“Now, let me go get a warm washcloth, hmmm…? Then I’ll clean you up, maybe we order some take out, I can give you a bath, then bed…?” Rafael breathed out.

You smiled back, pressing your body into his and wrapping your arms around him.

“Yes please…You take such good care of me…” you murmured into his warm and sexy chest.

Rafael chuckled lightly, slowly getting up from the bed, placing a kiss on your forehead before standing up completely.

So I've Heard from the writer grapevine that people are taking fanfiction others printing them out, and turning them into books to sell on Etsy. This shit is disgusting on so many letters I don't even want to describe fan fiction writers breaking our backs. To make things accessible for everybody, and these freeloaders who have no creativity wish to make money off it

If you see a book of a fanfiction on a site that you think it shouldn't be on, tell the original writer on AO3 or anywhere where the fanfiction was initially posted

Especially for the people who write fanfiction of copyrighted titles because the people who steal the fan fiction and the original copyright holders are liable to sue the poor fanfiction writer.

I'm making announcement here because I know a lot of writers including myself who post on AO3

I have my own series called 'Stratosphere' and if you ever see it on any other site that isn't AO3 that is not me and to report them!!!
