Weiss absolutely not liking Cinder or understanding why her sister would go out with the woman but she keeps her mouth shut in front of Winter out of respect.

I think its one of the funniest sorts of relationships for Cinder is the one with her ‘sister in-law’ because in whatever au it is Cinder and Weiss could not be more opposed in so many ways. Cinder is volatile and Weiss is composed—but so is Winter which makes Weiss all the more baffled as to why Winter would ever ‘settle’ for someone like Cinder.

But then the more they’re around one another, usually when Winter is present for a long while because Weiss cannot stand Cinder’s being for a long amount of time solo, there’s some odd clique happening.

Maybe it’s at some Gala at some point, or some lengthy event where Cinder and Weiss are forced together for a longer time without their pseudo barrier people.

Some pompous remarks from someone else starts it off, it’s annoying prattle from someone who thinks themselves too important for the good of anyone else. It’s someone Weiss by instinct loathes and detests but keeps her lips sealed just for the sake of carrying on and getting through it. But it’s Cinder who’s likely to actually do or say something just as quick, whether a scathing remark or the bursting of their drinking glass.

And that’s the slow crawling realization that a lot of what separates them also makes them all too similar. They are filled to the brim with scathing remarks, have an incomparable sense of people watching and ridiculing, and it just feeds into the pair of them getting to form this awkward bond between two Dust enthusiasts, fashion folk, and Winter is just so relieved that they never got to tear one another’s throats out

2: Has your writing changed over time?

Oh, I'm sure it has, though I'm not sure of all the ways how. I guess one thing I might be able to point to, when I was starting out I felt fairly confident in my ability to write smut that people might want to read, but not so much my ability to really write a plot that people would engage with. Over time though, I've managed to get more confident, and gradually worked my way up to writing stuff like Rise from the Ashes that is very much focused on plot.

18: Which is more difficult, the title or the summary?

Mmmm that's a tricky one. I think I'd go with summary, sometimes titles are a struggle but other times a real good one will just come to me, but with summaries I feel like I'm always scrambling to come up with something that works.

Who is more into sacred geometry? Cinder or Winter?

Unironically Cinder is probably the owner of like a black magic book or some occult shit and it spooks the hell out of everyone

Winter gets nervous around it

Weiss genuinely moves away from it when spotted

Despite Cinder's effort in keeping up the charade that she knows all the ins and outs of high society and their etiquette, Winter can tell that she's faking and improvising all the way, even on things that everyone should know.

Cinder definitely has conned her way through one too many Galas and processions for Winter to have not noticed how often she excuses herself to stalk away from the affairs. Galas certainly are not for her either, but Winter had that sort of upbringing and social standard of being a Specialist to allow her time and practice around these sorts of people. Sure, this new variety of rich is more about philanthropy than it is about lining their pockets but they still have this pomp and ceremony of money.

It’s so easily for Cinder to descend into her former social skills, her manipulation and cruelty creeping out the more tired or annoyed she becomes. Winter sees that too easily, obviously she knows that tone and golden glare all too well.

The change in both of their circumstances has allowed the pair of them to find more reason to excuse themselves entirely nowadays. There’s plenty to get up to in these Atlesian palaces and hubs of the rich while dresses like they are and so drained of other people that falling into one another is so much easier.

Cinder is a menace at the airport lounge's open bar, right?

Validate me.

I genuinely think that she's a menace in the way that, in conjunction with both her and Winter being exceedingly panicked planners, she is likely at the airport stupidly early for a flight so she's going to become the workers' cryptid of the day. She's probably a walking security risk cause the prosthetic in the security/her history and profile. Which makes her being 8 hours early cut down to half by the time she can sit at her gate. With the Maiden powers too she's probably got a crazy metabolism/tolerance, so she's pounding Caesars while desperately trying to not go insane in the local Chiles.

It’s good for Cinder though, she’s much more flexible and lither than Winter and Winter’s got a better “platform” for them both to do their dirty

Ah Cinqin the character you are

I think Cinder in the F1 au has the constant issue of being unable to accept things are going at all well for her when she starts helping Ruby. She constantly gets in her own way and self sabotages them by relying on old habits. She’s investing in strategies during races which she could pull off way back when but are either outdated now or Ruby can’t complete. As well as she’s incapable of taking care of herself before races because of nerves and anxieties connected with her crash and the thought of her potentially causing Ruby to end up like her so she turns to the bottle frequently. Only when one of Ruby or Winter finally uproot her from whatever place she’s drinking in does she really stop, she’s in deep need of a support system especially stumbling around with her cane and shit eyesight.
