Hug Slug – Tiny fey, unaligned

Like most recently discovered creatures arising from the deeper caverns, the hug slug displays an absorbing array of quirky qualities. This slowly gliding fey proceeds to raise its arms while producing an oddly squeaking symphony once getting close enough to its unsuspecting "prey". In fact, the hug slug shows absolutely no sign of ill will or aggression – the strange blend of helplessness and harmlessness rather invites to pity the whimpering creature. The actual intend of the hug slug is unknown; according to the rare documented encounters it simply seems to appreciate being carried around. Caution, however, is highly advised – the powerful slime the creeping critter secretes is said to be just as mysterious as itself.

Collection of the art I did for Smaugust 2023! A Dragon, Wyvern, Amphiptere, and Lindwyrm

I've never done the Smaugust Art Challenge before, and I had a lot of fun with it! I know there's prompt lists floating around for it, but I like the freedom of just having an excuse to focus on drawing dragons for a month as a challenge, without having to follow specific prompts.

Monster/creature art isn't something I do very often now, so it was a nice change of pace. In middle school pretty much all I drew was dragons so it's nice to be a little self indulgent and go back to that hahaha

I wanted draw something liked this but by golly, I struggled to find good framing, posing, and perspective. This is probably cuz I’m still a novice at those things, but in the end I just went with this shot so I can get it out of my system and see the concept on paper (screen?). I’m still pleased with it! It’s just a sketch, but WOOP WOOP

Vestiges of themselves, they delight in inflicting cruelties upon any they deem their prey, perhaps lashing out to right the wrongs brought against them.

Krillowatts – Small swarm of Tiny elementals, unaligned

The krillowatts aren’t solely carried by the currents of the waters they thrive in but also by those of their own electrified body. Traversing their habitat in loosely scattered swarms, they constantly emit weak pulses of elemental magic forming an overarching network. Not only do they use said network to exchange information but also to coordinate their highly complex movements in order deter or potentially terminate any predator getting too close. Inexperienced seafarers are advised to strictly keep their distance: the krillowatts literally overflow with energy ready to be released in a bursting wave of destructive power.

Little throwback art of Asim's session zero, which started off with a bang. I don't think he knew he was dead+undead yet... I don't think he realized until he bandaged up his head wound - he was too busy grieving someone else to realize he had died as well.

Introducing another new monster to Time-ageddon! The Triffid! 🍃

☆ Triffids are large plant monsters that thrive especially in humid, forested environments. With no other senses, they waddle around using special pheromones to realize their surroundings. This also allows them to move around while hunting their favorite prey, humans. They use their prehensile tongue to subdue their targets before devouring them whole. Triffids also seem to have a bizarre rivalry with zombies, and the two are often seen scuttling with one another. ☆
