Come riconoscere i prodotti con farina di insetti al supermercato

Se ne parla da tanto, e dopo discussioni e dibattiti è arrivato anche da noi il via libera per il loro consumo: il 29 dicembre scorso, infatti, sono stati pubblicati in Gazzetta Ufficiale i decreti del Ministero dell’Agricoltura che regolano e commercializzano prodotti alimentari a base di farina di insetti. Ma dove, per chi la volesse, la si potrà trovare, e come la si potrà riconoscere? Vediamolo insieme.
Quali insetti e per quali prodotti
Dunque, anche in Italia si potrà produrre, vendere e acquistare alimenti con farine realizzate con quattro tipologie di insetti, che sono, nello specifico, larve del verme della farina minore, larve gialle della farina, locuste migratorie, grilli domestici.
Se in molti paesi, soprattutto orientali, gli insetti si mangiano già da lunghissimo tempo, la decisione europea di aprirsi alla vendita di questi alimenti si concretizza con il regolamento comunitario sui novel food del gennaio 2018, che riconosce le quattro tipologie di insetti descritte come nuovi alimenti e prodotti tradizionali provenienti da Paesi terzi. Secondo l’Efsa, l’autorità europea per la sicurezza alimentare, le farine di questi insetti potranno essere utilizzate in alimenti come pane, biscotti, barrette, prodotti da forno, pasta, pizze, minestre, bevande tipo birra.
Nonostante i regolamenti europei impongano già l‘indicazione dell’ingrediente sia nella denominazione di vendita (“gallette con farina di grillo”, ad esempio), sia nell’elenco degli ingredienti con il nome specifico dell’ingrediente e la sua percentuale, i provvedimenti stabiliti dal Ministero dell’Agricoltura indicano in modo ancora più stringente condizioni di utilizzo ed etichettatura degli alimenti a base di farine di insetti.
Secondo le disposizioni nazionali, quindi, sulle confezioni dovranno essere riportate tipologia di insetto presente, quantità utilizzate (fino a un massimo del 10%), paese di origine della farina (al momento in Europa sono autorizzate farine prodotte da un’azienda francese, una olandese e una vietnamita), informazioni relative a rischi legati a reazioni allergiche. La farina di insetti deve essere, infatti, segnalata obbligatoriamente, dal momento che è un allergene come i crostacei e i molluschi. La confezione deve quindi recare la dicitura “le persone allergiche ai crostacei, ai molluschi o agli acari della polvere potrebbero essere allergiche anche agli insetti”.
A differenza della normativa europea, poi, i nostri decreti stabiliscono che i prodotti in questione debbano essere posti in vendita in comparti separati, segnalati attraverso apposita cartellonistica. Previste anche sanzioni per i trasgressori.
Produzione e vendita in Italia
Per ora non tutti i marchi più importanti della Grande Distribuzione sembrano orientati ad introdurre questa novità su scala nazionale, anche se alcuni prodotti alimentari a base di farine di insetti sono presenti già da qualche tempo sugli scaffali di cinque supermercati veronesi, grazie ad un accordo fra l’unica azienda italiana che li produce attualmente, la Fucibo di Schio, nell’Alto vicentino, e due gruppi della grande distribuzione organizzata del Nord-Est, il veronese Tosano ed il trentino Poli. Si tratta di patatine, o meglio di chips, prodotte da un anno in due gusti, e di biscotti, anch’essi di due tipi diversi, commercializzati da alcuni mesi. Alimenti che contengono sia farina di mais che farina ricavata dalla “camola”, la comune tarma della farina, cui si andranno, via via, aggiungendo craker o sfogliette. Siata 208 CS ( 1 of 6). 
Societá Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori (SIATA) created a marvelous assortment of machinery in its 45-year history under the guidance of the Ambrosini family. Founded by Giorgio Ambrosini in 1926, Siata specialized in performance modifications for Fiats, creating the overhead-valve conversions, multi-speed gearboxes, superchargers, and multi-carb intakes that competitive Italians wanted for their diminutive cars. The Italian auto giant conspicuously ignored—with few exceptions—the high-performance market as the Agnellis concentrated their empire around sensible, reliable, and mass-produced cars of small proportions.Siata received substantial financial assistance from Fiat following the Second World War, and by 1949 they were producing small automobiles which wore custom, house-labeled coachwork. Firmly grafted to Fiat and its engineering, Siata took a giant leap forward with the arrival of Rudolf Hruska in 1950. Hruska had worked in Porsche’s design office before the war and later collaborated with Carlo Abarth on Piero Dusio’s Cisitalia Grand Prix project. Fiat itself plotted its re-entry to the top ranks of Italian performance automobiles in 1950 with the introduction of their two-liter V-8 (dubbed "Otto Vu"), whose development was entrusted to Siata and executed in total secrecy by Hruska’s team.
The unusual oversquare, 70-degree V-8 engine featured all-aluminum castings with wedge-shaped combustion chambers. Induction was through a pair of dual-throat, downdraft Weber carburetors. With its high-revving short-stroke design and 8.5:1 compression ratio, prodigious power was channeled through a four-speed manual gearbox. Hruska planted the engine into a tubular chassis, and this became the basis of Fiat’s 8V.
Debuting at the 1952 Geneva Salon, the 8V caused an absolute sensation perhaps best equated to a meltdown of Italy’s motoring press. For many, the Siata-developed, Fiat-badged supercar defied belief. In particular, the advanced chassis featured a fully independent suspension with coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers at all four corners and was a marvelously sophisticated platform for its time, with supple and predictable handling that amazed drivers accustomed to the rigidly sprung, “flex-framed,” live-axle sports cars of the time.
Approximately 200 Tipo 104 engines were made to supply the 114 8V examples which Fiat ultimately produced. Eighty-five or so surplus engines were thusly returned to Siata, which seized the opportunity to supply them with additional house-made upgrades and implant them into the very chassis from which the earth-shattering Otto Vu had been developed.
The resulting Siata 208 CS was available as an attractive barchetta-like Spider or streamlined berlinetta, which Siata commissioned from a small pool of local coachbuilders including Bertone, Vignale, and Stabilimenti Farina. It is said that Siata openly encouraged the carryover of major styling details which these same companies were providing to Ferrari during the same period.
Perhaps the shapeliest design ever rendered upon the 208 CS, however, was executed by Balbo of Turin. Just nine berlinettas were made, of which only six examples are known to remain extant.

weirdly specific dghda headcanons:
todd and farah enjoy playing video games together and actually find it to be a great way to bond and get closer. they’re both especially fond of the game ‘A Way Out’. dirk isnt really too keen on the types of games they play, but every so often all three of them will attempt ‘Overcooked 2’ (“DIRK!!! THE BURGERS ARE ON FIRE!!!”)
tina and farah like travelling and going on road trips as dates because it combines activities that they both enjoy.
the rowdies cut each others hair. this leads to a lot more freedom on style choice and has led to some very awesome hairstyles
the agency has a whiteboard tracking the amount of weeks spent where someone hasnt needed to go to the hospital. if it reaches a certain number they get to go out for drinks to celebrate. farah introduced the idea to discourage people (dirk) from being too reckless.
dirk is scared of elevators
todd does mini concerts for his friends
shopping trips become a weekly event for the agency. sometimes its to stock up on groceries, and sometimes its because dirk has the sudden urge to buy mop slippers at 11pm (“i really cant explain it todd. must be a hunch from the universe.”)
the rowdy 3 own a hotdog toaster ARGUE WITH THE WALL
dirk finds deep pressure calming and todd and farah have become good at recognising his signs of being overwhelmed, so are always ready to give him an extra strong hug if needed.
