au idea where all batman’s kids never became vigilantes/heros and all went straight to villainy.

why, you ask? because bruce was out so much dealing with gotham rogues and the justice league that they hardly see him anymore. and, after all, the best way to get the bats attention in gotham is to be an absolute menace.

imagine bruce coming back from some long mission off-world to find that gotham has several new rogues who have seemingly staked a claim on different parts of the city. they are all causing panic and havoc.

dick gets to flip around the city and cause his own brand of chaos, jason gets to try and run crime alley again, tim finally gets to have his villain arc(he’s so been planning this for months guys), damian is releasing so many animals from the zoo and getting them sent off to places that will rehabilitate them, cass is having a blast just stalking bruce while he is losing his mind on various gotham rooftops, and duke keeps using his abilities to like, flash bang creeps and assholes on the streets in broad day light. babs is probably eating popcorn and hacking into bruce’s comms with alfred to watch the chaos unfold. steph went around in a fake batman costume, really poorly mimicking bruce’s voice, and saying the most random shit to civilians.

the opportunists are endless. the plot holes are prevalent, but ignored

if the genius society rewards depth then the intelligentsia guild (or maybe just dr ratio) strives for breadth

the genius society seems to be a lot more picky about its members, choosing only those who actually revolutionize their field instead of just people who are at the top

whereas dr ratio's whole thing is about increasing accessibility of knowledge to all life in the universe as long as they want to learn

i don't know enough yet about the intelligentsia guild to tell whether this is an opinion shared by the entire organization or if it's just dr ratio

but dr ratio has more or less completely diverged from the specific path down erudition that the genius society treads, and is going alongside the intelligentsia guild to make another

or in other words nous is a minmaxer with a glass cannon build and dr ratio is a generalist who levels up everything equally

So my dad has this metal box of peanuts that he leaves outside so that when he goes on walks he can grab some to feed the crows, and every once in awhile we get this one squirrel who keeps trying to BITE THROUGH THE METAL to get to the peanuts, we keep leaving some out for it but they keep getting eaten by other squirrels.

I just saw the poor thing sitting on top of the box and kind of forlornly trying to chew the corners of the box

When picking up an escaped quail yesterday, I realized how much larger my g3 and g4 quail are compared to the ogs. This has actually created an unanticipated problem where the ogs are inadvertently getting bullied solely because their offspring are almost twice their size and push them off places. Either need to make them a retirement pen or find them homes that don't mind a lack of eggs. On the flipside, I introduced some 3 week old babies into the colony to get more color variety in there and only 1 gen3 hen took a chance to pull rank (guessing she's low on the totem pole) vs 2 of the og hens. So they're getting bigger but they're also getting better mannered and nicer.

Falgore had a habit of taking back alley ways to hit stores. Mostly because he's a thief, and a big ass bird man who was easy to recognize. There was a few times when someone he robbed would spot him, and then call the heroes on him..

The beast bird was back in the alley ways again, minding his own business. Planning on going to a store and buying a drink or something. As he stared off for a moment, he felt someone collide into him. He didn't budge at all, but when he looked down he was a girl there that bumped into him.

"Uh, you should watch where ya' goin'.. Not that I don't mind... But if it was someone else, they would maybe have a fit.."
