Repost from @chadhargrove1 using @RepostRegramApp - . . Was talking to my buddy @dstanleyfit yesterday about training women. He coaches quite a few women and the results his clients get are VERY good. - We were talking about how, if a commitment is made, women typically see some pretty dramatic results in their first year of training. - Like they'll lose 10 pounds of fat but gain 8 pounds of muscle. Or some sort of combination that basically equates to: - ✔️Much leaner and toned ✔️Weight may not have changed much ✔️Way stronger - After those, we get converts. - To date, I've never heard a women complain about feeling stronger. - Adding weight to the bar, lifting weights, learning to do a push up or pull up, and adding in some protein can do wonderful things. - And slowly the scale becomes at least slightly less important. In some cases, it's importance fades entirely because weight going up is a sign of muscle -- which adds definition. - If you've tried everything but it hasn't worked for you (yet!), it's because you haven't committed to this. - Dive in, it can change your life. - Questions or comments? What I Eat In a Day for Fat Loss - - - No this is not what I eat everyday, lol. This is a general representation of what I might eat on a given weekday when I work out. I am a creature of habit, however, and this isn’t too far off what I will eat several days during the week. - I eat less in the beginning of the day as my wife and I will *usually* plan our meal around something our 2 young boys (ages 3 and 5) will eat. It’s easier to not have to cook 2 totally separate meals. I eat whatever we’re having and pay attention to when I’m *satisfied not stuffed* and that serves me well. - We do feed our children mostly healthy food, but guess what? They eat hot dogs and mac and cheese too. #theyllbefine - What I eat may look different from someone else’s fat loss meals, and that’s perfectly fine. @Regran_ed from @lance.caron - Have you ever found yourself trying to lose that last 15 or 20 lbs that makes you feel so self conscious and you had your diet on point, you were doing cardio like a madman, even cut out pretty much all sugar and sweets and then totally messed it all up by what the internet is now calling a "snaccident" by eating an entire sleeve of oreos or something like that? ˙ The truth is that it's probably not really your fault, believe it or not. No, seriously. ˙ So many coaches and trainers have preached for years that you have should avoid sweets, cut out liquid calories, stop eating by 8pm, eat every 2 to 3 hours and somehow get to the gym for some killer butt kicking workout and throw some cardio in there to speed up the process, right?! ˙ The truth is that when we're focusing on so many of these distracting and energy wasting actions to try and build habits out of, we usually exhaust ourselves or feel so deprived of all of the things that are good in this world long before we ever get to even experience or see any ACTUAL weight loss! Frankly, that blows! ˙ I usually have my clients focus on the fundamentals that take much less energy and create the most bang for their buck, so to speak and then work up to a couple additional actions as we go. What's the point of being so strict and following these rules if you can't stick with the plan and only beat yourself up more with guilt afterward? ˙ Balance is key here! Not deprivation and restrictions.
