(Mod Toto) Made a short edit of the Book VII movie but with End of the World (Sono chi no Kioku) playing!
Sadly I just got sick so I’ll make a full version when I feel better and get more free time, but if you enjoyed it, consider supporting it on youtube as well!

Finally got around to playing the final chapter of Book VII. The bar was low and it STILL let me down. I think Book VII is a good example of how not to write a plot, monthly-installments or otherwise. Nerthuz was super-underused, despite being apparently (except to the audience, hah) responsible for the ending. The actual ending bit with Seithr and her selves would have been nice if it had been properly built-to; I can see the pieces, but the puzzle wasn't put-together until the last minute, so it's disappointing. My Book Rankings, from what I remember of them, would probably be:
Book IV > Book VI > Book III > Book II > Book V = Book I = Book VII.
I feel like Book IV best-utilized its cast. Book VII really needed to either cut back on its cast, or actually use all of its Chapter Parts.

Excuse me, Seidr
I just don't wanna have... Whatever you want to create. I cannot even raise a plant properly and this character offers me that. Considering how Njördr is involved, I feel betrayed. Hopefully he gets to be the villain.
But if the main thought wasn't enough to get Seidr out of my sight, I can offer 20 more reasons:
Tumblr media
And there'll be more.
Fortunately my FEH OC is not the summoner, so the proposal's not for her. Even so, she'd be quite alarmed to hear such a red flag.

Book 7 Thoughts So Far
With what Gullveig is capable of, I think she has the potential to be the scariest villain in FEH.
For story I'm kind of getting the vibe that it's kind of gonna be like Higurashi, but without the blood, paranoia, and friends killing each other thing.
More like the whole doing the time loop thing to change fate and prevent everyone form dying, with a god helping out in the endeavor.
The details of the opening make me wonder if we're gonna die repeatably and timeloop until we find a way to beat Gullveig. I wonder if Chapter 13 was just a vision of the future/dream or was it part of a previous timeloop? Book just started and thinking about the time travel element is already fucking with my head. But at I'll admit doing the chapters out of order is nice way to mix it up a little.

Day 2 - Resplendent
(Design a new alt for her - be it an existing banner or a new theme!)
Part of @sharenaweek
Taking a page from the gods of Vanaheimr, this is a what-if concept of Sharena's resplendent alt being based on the themes introduced in Book VII. Though keeping relatively close to her original design, it took a slightly different twist following the footsteps of the likes of Seidr and Nethuz among other gods, letting her become a goddess among their ranks (or at least look the part).
---
Also known as the 'And now for something completely different" theme, as while it was very tempting to go with a Book IV based alt in regards to her and Peony, this was an experiment to go with a theme that hadn't been explored in resplendents in general yet.
...is what I would've said, except as you all know, during the making of this alt, FEH released their first official Vanaheimr-themed resplendent in Ayra anyways. Welp.
I know it might be an unusual pick - going for the most fanservicey-leaning theme on the least fanservice-wanting character, but I had a dream and that dream involved copying enough off Nethuz's homework to give Sharena cat ears I just thought she would look really neat.

Onward to the next day!

After Book III and Book V crashed and burned, I'm afraid nothing looks interesting to me anymore 😞 So I'm not expecting anything from this, a big cast of new characters doesn't mean much for FEH when like half of them can die in the blink of an eye for drama's sake tbh, so... the designs are kinda nice but that's it.
I don't even like the music particularly this time around, which is far more tragic, for Book VII at least I liked the music lmao.

Anon says as if FEH isn't using the few Male OCS to sell muscle. Bruno literaly became a meme and then there is the deer men of book VIII
Those are not remotely equivalent. Bruno hasn't been consistently relevant for years, and despite having been in the game since 2017 has all of two alts - neither of which are particularly sexy. The new deer guy is currently just background art; the internet only started thirsting after him so hard because we've been so starved of male OCs, especially after Book VII.
Further, the attempt to deflect from how female characters are objectified in FEH and similar properties by pointing out overly muscled male designs has always been a deeply flawed one. One exists for straight male titillation; the other exists as a straight male power fantasy. There is absolutely a point to be made about how hypermuscular bodies in media promote unhealthy ideas about what men should look like, but that's an entirely separate conversation from the one that frames characters as sex objects. Gay/bi men are best in a position to appreciate the issue from both sides, and the solution we most often pose when discussing such things is to show a wider variety of male bodies in states of (potentially eroticized) undress - a solution that I imagine would not go over well with the sorts of straight men who like to bring up muscular male characters as a gotcha.
The shirtless muscular guys of most media are never framed or positioned in the same way that even more modestly-dressed female characters often are when they're being marketed based on some kind of sex appeal. Gay porn games are the only type of animated media I've seen that treats male characters at all in the same way as female characters are handled on most of FEH's seasonal banners. As an example, let me revisit a point I made about a week ago, in reference to the new winter banner.
Here is Claude, wearing a reindeer-themed holiday outfit.
Tumblr media
Now here is another character wearing a reindeer-themed holiday outfit, this time from the gay dating sim Camp Buddy: Scoutmaster Season.
Tumblr media
A bit excessive? Yes, but I've got a point to make here. Let's talk about the differences. We've got
a crotch bulge, as well as a small treasure trail. Contrast summer Lorenz and his speedo with Ken doll anatomy.
extensive muscle definition, including pronounced tits pecs. Contrast summer Ephraim, summer Dimitri, and others.
visible nipples, something the internet also went crazy over when they randomly appeared on Fargus back in November. This isn't merely about being anatomically correct; nipples are an erogenous zone for some men, and to include them in a bare-chested design indicates that this character is not just a slab of muscle (as the power fantasy angle would prefer) but has potential erotic vulnerabilities.
a harness that greatly resembles bondage gear, and is in fact used in that way later on.
most obviously, about as much skin on display as the average female unit on summer banners
and while not apparent here, a willingness to commit to the inherent silliness of the bit in the subsequent sex scenes, which employ a flurry of intentionally bad holiday-themed puns and have the characters act out a reindeer-flavored variety of pony play.
But that's far too horny for a winter banner, you say? Don't tell that to Edelgard's thigh-highs and upskirt. Isn't that specific combination a fetish in its own right?
Tumblr media
Or Yunaka with her cleavage and camel toe and strategically-placed bits of bare skin.
Tumblr media
Or just look at the Byleths side-by-side. Only the female version is baring her shoulders and midriff in a form-fitting top...surely that's for entirely innocent reasons.
Tumblr media
And again, check out any given summer banner and see just how far FEH will push its rating with its female cast.
Of course this is all from a gay male perspective; I can't speak to what women find attractive in animated male characters. Anecdotally the most popular options are characters who are already prominent and popular (so...not Bruno or the unnamed deer guy). Also, there are times when women in the fandom pick up on stuff about these guys' bodies that I wouldn't have even thought to eroticize at first, like Dimitri's proportionally small waist. Others can feel free to add onto this if they like.
TL;DR, if FEH truly wants to sell itself on sleaze (which of course it does, and already is), it seriously needs to step up its game with its male cast.

Hello everyone! Just a quick continuity update for Alfonse: following the ending of Book VII, Alfonse’s canon point will now be taken post Book VII, after Nihility and Dream. Every other side event stories that have transpired within the duration of this book will also be canon to him (TT(+), Forging Bonds, Paralogue stories, etc.), though with less emphasis on those that don’t involve him. Alfonse now better understands Fódlan and The Officer’s Academy following the (ultimately unfruitful) attempt of its replication in Askr. He will also now be acquainted with Elyos & Vanaheimr, as well as the FE:Engage & Book VII casts.
As of this update, the following characters form a (somewhat) notable relationship with him in FEH, and these relationships will also be canon to my portrayal of Alfonse— the more impactful of which are bolded. If there’s anything necessary to discuss, please let me know:
Alear (F)
Diamant
Ced
Leif
Ingrid (Three Hopes)
Geoffrey
To reiterate: Alfonse will still treat every Hero he meets in TOA as strangers out of respect. This will mostly take effect on how he views other characters personally. I hope to make a more in-depth post about these changes soon, but for now this will have to suffice. Thank you for understanding!
Additionally, as of this post, I’ve caught up on every single Forging Bonds. Please ask me for a fun FEH fact. I have so many. Please.

fire emblem heroes at it again. beware spoilers for chapter 9 of book VII under the cut
man i fucking KNEW IT. i did not trust that man one bit! Nerþuz did not trust her brother for good reason. him being Freyja and Freyr's father was the first red flag, he's king of Vanaheimr and yet his own child was mocked? why the fuck did it fall to Freyr to comfort his sister? but what's new, Feh continuing the trend of shitty fathers in Fire Emblem. and we immediately went for Gustav for being strict with Alfonse, but compared to the likes of Validar and Sombron he's a saint; he actually cared about his children

FEH Books I like: VI, VII, IV, III (So far I like VIII)
FEH Books I don't care about at all: II, V (The only one I really Dislike is V but that's just because I find it boring as Shite, book II is good but it has a Huge problem with character balancing and Gunnthrá's my fave so you can See where that makes me a lil :/ about it)

For reason  I felt like doing a quick edit of the Book VII opening to Amalee's cover of Flower of Hell form Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai. We'll wait and see how the book goes to see if this ends up being fitting or not.

#𝗭𝗡𝟬𝟰𝟬𝟰: summoner of fire emblem heroes, affiliated with the officer’s academy.
MUSE. STATS. GUIDE.
Taken post-book VII, pre-book VIII, after the events of Nihility & Dream. Musings & analysis related to events beyond this time may be present; all spoilers will be tagged #feh spoilers. I’ll be following the game’s updates very closely, so please proceed with caution!
Kiran has a certain aura about them as a result of their existence as Breidablik’s wielder. Although this effect is most prominently observed in Heroes they summon, your muse may find that they mistake Kiran for someone they know/find them familiar, feel more comfortable around them, and/or have a difficult time parsing Kiran’s character. Your muse may also struggle to remember Kiran at first, and picture their face as concealed by a veil of light in their memories. Generally, they are often confused for other Avatar characters (Mark, Kris, Robin, etc). If your muse is non-human, they may also notice that Kiran seems somewhat distinctly non-human. The extent of this effect varies from character to character, but I won’t force it on your muse should you choose to ignore it entirely.
Breidablik is not recognised in TOA’s combat manual, but it is among Kiran’s inventory and will be their main weapon narratively. I have no intent of joining the group’s formal events or writing combat manual-compliant threads, and will operate on my own system if a thread calls for it. Naturally, Breidablik is unable to summon Heroes in Fódlan. That being said, it’s still a gun (for the most part); take that as you will.
For my own peace of mind, I will consider Kiran to share the same verse as other FEH muses unless otherwise specified. If you’d like to write your muse as from another summoner’s Zenith, you’re more than welcome to do so. Feel free to send me a message if anything needs to be discussed on that front.
Although I try to stay as faithful as possible to what little we know of them in canon, Kiran is ultimately an original character of mine constructed from FEH’s building blocks, and therefore their portrayal may be unique at times. Please be patient with me as I find their voice; thanks for understanding!
Lastly: As a default, I consider all heroes’ dialogue to be canon to my portrayal of the summoner, including level 40 conversations. This has no bearing on relationships in TOA, as (presumably) other muses will not be the versions of themselves that were summoned to Askr. However, any information/dynamics between characters and the summoner revealed in these conversations will be known to them, though Kiran will still treat all characters in TOA as strangers out of respect. Additionally, if you’d prefer that the level 40 conversation between your muse and Kiran to not have occurred, please let me know. I’ll do my best to work something out.
