also also the way yeah simon and wille got to be together yeah 1000% but sara and felice!! god it’s so rare for any media to portray friendship and platonic relationships as just as important if not more important than romantic. but!!!!! they were also in that car!! they were endgame too!! it just brings me such joy that this silly angsty little romance can also put such value in friendship too <3 oh young royals writers just kill me

Se continuiamo a pensare a tutti i modi in cui gli altri ci hanno tradito, deluso, ingannato o fatto arrabbiare il nostro cuore sarà per sempre pieno di odio, impariamo a lasciare andare, ad essere felici.”

felice: how's everyone doing?
simon: i'm breathing.
felice: setting the bar pretty low, huh?
simon: well, it's more than wille.
wille, having a panic attack, an existential crisis and a mental breakdown, all at the same time: honestly, fuck you.

Thinking about Felice, the girl whose mother shamed her for her size and not being able to fit into the Lucia dress, wanting to be a chef.
Thinking about Felice reclaiming a relationship to and a love for food as part of her defiance of white western beauty standards

I feel like nobody’s talking about the changes in Felice’s character this season. I mean both physically and emotionally. S1 Felice wanted desperately to conform to what her parents wanted, what she thought Wille wanted. We see Felice start breaking through that at the end of s2. Eg, standing up to her mom and explaining why she won’t/can’t wear her old Juliette dress.
This season, Felice goes further. One of her first scenes is of her in a Black owned salon getting her hair done. Felice’s hair isn’t straightened once this season. For the Valentine’s Day ball, she expresses the outfit isn’t “her” and wears something else. This scene isn’t nearly as dramatic as the one from last season bc Felice is more comfortable with herself. She sells Rosseau! Which sucks for Sara, but importantly is Felice making changes in her life for herself. Even if they’re against her mother’s wishes. Felice also stands up to Wille. The day after they make out, she tells him off for being selfish and not understanding her position. Felice is confident enough in their friendship, and in Wille caring about her, to discuss her own feelings. Even if they make Wille feel bad.
I do wish Felice got more of an arch this season, but I am glad to see the continuation of her journey to self-acceptance.
tldr: Felice is fantastic and deserves more recognition.
