please see fall guy if you have not. ryan gosling and emily blunt are both phenomenal (as always). it has explosions and romance and a dog that understands french and the song all too well and it really feels like a love letter to the stunt community and best of all, it’s a movie about the making of a movie, which i will eat up every time.

so originally i actually intended to redraw a panel from like a more plot-relevant moment but then ell posted this moment and it just really hit home for me — one of the things in 2al that i love so much is just like how much hope there is throughout. how much love and joy. like the leos are literally stuck in this horrible looping pattern of loss, almost a doomed destiny narrative of sorts, but throughout the whole narrative theres levity and light even in dire circumstances — and it comes from loving yourself and those around you and participating in the joys of the present moment and just idk man like.

yes there are terrible foes that feel impossible to face alone. yes life has taken a lot from me. yeah. but. i will put on my shirt today. i am going to have a good day today.

so ofc i had to draw this one, but tbh im not super thrilled with how sprouts face came out in the end?? SO i went through some of my fave mini comics and did the one with Big Leo and Sprout bc, again, im emotional.

Been in a bit of an art slump recently. I found out about the Decked Out D&D module, Terrors Beneath Deepfrost Citadel, written by @capriciouswriter207 and have swiftly fallen in love. So as a challenge to myself I made some token markers! I left some that can potentially spoil the narrative of the module under the cut.

Hi Pear anon!!!! (wait do you want me to call you pear anon, I'm not used to anons hahaha, please lmk!).

I officially have two nickels because I've been asked twice how I spawned these guys XDLASDJ, they're so funny looking.

I talked about it here, but basically bought different colored fabric and three more guys and dressed them up as the colors, and now they're so happy together, poor green guy was so lonely.

Hope you get to have your four color guys hehe >:·3!

Also, now it's harder to bring them to trips and take silly photos of them cause they're wanted in 17 countries for crimes against humanity :(

Sure! Artfight is an online art-trading event that happens for the entire month of July, on artfight.net— every year, two “themes” are revealed, and participating artists will pick one of them to be on that “team.” You can upload reference pictures and explanations of your ocs to your profile page on artfight, and throughout the month, artists can draw other users’ characters and send them as “attacks,” ideally drawing characters from artists on the opposite team to earn points for their own team (though many artists (including myself) will just join/participate to draw their friends’ ocs and characters they think would be fun to draw, regardless of the teams)!

If you’re trying to figure out how to send an attack, you should be able to find the “Attacks” option on the drop down on the top right of the artfight home page (under the ‘Manage’ section, not ‘Messages’), and on that page you should be able to select “Submit New Attack!” from there, you’ll fill out anything you want to say about the attack, upload your images (as well as a 200x200 pixel thumbnail)l what “level” of drawing it is (how much you colored it, if you shaded it, if there’s a background, etc), and the website will calculate how many points you’ve earned for your team based on all of those categories and wether or not the artist you’re attacking is on your team or not!

Unfortunately, there’s only a few more days left in this year’s artfight, so you won’t be able to earn points for your team after August 3rd, but nothing can stop you from drawing others’ OCs for fun and posting them here after the event! Or you can always wait for next years fight if you want to take part in the team fight itself! But that being said you can join at any time even if it’s just for one week or one day or whatever!

We’re not calling Steve a wuss!! My meltdowns are ones were I get angry (once it got so bad that I kicked in a dresser and broke it at fourteen… 🥲)

And I get the texture stuff, can’t STAND cotton balls or q-tips. I don’t like jeans or tags too much either.

Steve let out a bored sigh, before taking up the notes. He read them both over twice before writing much down.

Anyways. I guess it sounds somewhere similar to that. For me at least. But even then, it's not like it's long term or nothin'. I think they were only around from... Probably 3 to 7. Which is about 4 years, ain't it?

After that, I learned how to control 'em. Mostly because dad told me to. Mom had shit to stress over, so she wasn't worried whether or not her kid was twitchin' and screamin' involuntarily.

Meltdown just sounds... wussy. I stopped crying when I was real little. Also blame the old man for that.

But I guess I've had a few fits here n' there. Real bad scratching, hyperventilating, punchin' and pulling at myself when I get overwhelmed.

It stuck. Just kind of transformed into something even more stupid: Liking fights.

When I get overwhelmed, I get punchy. So I'll just start hittin' folks. Not smart. But it eases my stress.

...Why are we talking about this exactly?

Steve stared at the papers awkwardly before passing them back over to Soda for him to put them back in the jar.

Soda quickly piped up. “You wanna leave here in a few minutes?”

Steve stared at him. “Soda, it's only like 5:30. Don't you still got work to do?”

Soda grinned. “Yeah, so?”

Steve kept staring, not daring to grin back. But he sure did want to. “...Okay.”

Soda giggles, getting up. “I'll start gettin' ready then!” He smacks the countertop on his way up, wandering off to go do who knows what. “I gotta call someone t'cover fer me.”

Leaving Steve alone for the next... 30 minutes, probably.
