In addition to my previous post, I’m looking for patient, 18+ roleplayers who might like to roleplay with me (who is 18+). I do:

Romanic, platonic

OBSWD, BG3, Skyrim, Wayhaven Chronicles, ATLA, Demon Slayer, Arcane, and FFXV.

OCs are welcome!

Fandomless roleplay (I’m shit at worldbuilding but if you’ve got a world you want to work with I’m more than open to it). If it’ll be fandomless, know that I’m NOT into:

Zombies, apocalypse (generally, there are a few exceptions), and modern war. Anything else pretty much goes (including smut, though I might ask to skip or pause if I’m not feeling it at the time).

I typically prefer magic, supernatural, and/or fantasy, but can work with a lot, so if in doubt, ask me! I’m sure there’s more fandoms I’m cool with too, so again, ask me if you’re not sure.

I’m fairly good at writing (which would make me literate, I think? I don’t understand the system to measure it) and tend to match whatever amount my rp partner puts down. If that’s several paragraphs, or one, either is fine. I’ve been roleplaying for about nearly three years now (though only with one person), and have been writing for thirteen years. I have a lot to learn but adapt quickly to whatever your patterns are.

Even if this post looks really old, I can almost guarantee I’m still looking. I love roleplaying with people.

Happy birthday to my husbando Ignis Scientia and best girl Aerith Gainsborough! :D

I had nothing planned so I scribbled this out relatively quick, by which I mean over the course of like an hour and a half lol. This is nowhere near a finished piece, more like a scribbly, sketchy thumbnail for a proper piece of art, but honestly it was kind of nice to draw something new instead of working on an old WIP

I have a few alternative ideas I want to try so I might do those for a bit to give myself a break from animating :)

It doesn't seem to make any sense. Except it does. Ignis is just so nice. Of course he cooks for Prompto, listens to him talk and holds his hand. That's just how Ignis is. "You came all this way just for me?” Prompto asks. “Of course,” Ignis says.  “You deserve being cared for now and again, you know.” Prompto wants to lean over and kiss him but holds himself back, that’s not exactly a friendly thing to do. It would ruin everything they have. “S’not your job,” Prompto murmurs. “No,” Ignis says, looking back now. His eyes are so green, sometimes Prompto manages to forget. “It’s my pleasure.”

Alternatively: Prompto agrees to go on a date with Ignis — he simply misses it happening.

So. Fictional Romantic vs Platonic relationships.

I was not gonna post bc it had been a while since seeing Discours(TM) on the topic but then another post reminded me of it (like it wasn't a discourse post but it sparked the Memory) and I was about to put a long-ass string of tags and went. nah. I'll just do this.

For The Record this is not a bash against any interpretation. Wish I didn't have to state but this is Tumblr lmao.

Anyway most of the time I do see actual Discours(TM) on the topic has like, the people who want more platonic relationships be annoyed that fandom very very often goes for romance and say they feel unwelcome or at least un-represented in fandom, to which the ones who prefer romance say that no, there's Friendship everywhere, just look at all the buddy cop plots etc., you have enough.

Not to go "both sides" here but - Both are right.

Especially with two men, which is a lot of fandom main ships, there are a ton of stories that feature a Close Male Friendship. Greg House and Wilson from House MD, Riku and Sora from Kingdom Hearts, Dean and Cas from Supernatural, all four guys from Final Fantasy XV, the list goes on. "Two Boys/Men Who Are Best Friends" is a very, very common group of main characters.

In canon.

Because as soon as you leave canon and check out canon, well... At a quick glance at AO3 stats, there's about four to nine times as much ship content than platonic content (3,400 vs 600; 4,000 vs 950; 115,000 vs 12,500; 5800 vs 970 [Only checking Prompto x Noctis because I'm not gonna check all permutations of this and they're the most popular ship]).

Yes, canon is severely lacking in queer ships most of the time, while friendship is often a big focus. And also, fandom is somewhat lacking in platonic stories while ships are often a big focus.

So, yeah, it can be frustrating to join a fandom where you love a canon friendship and just get "Oh the way they're looking at each other here, they're so in love! Oh I bet they kissed after that scene! Oh I'm sure they'll marry after canon!". It is, of course, also frustrating how rarely we get to see any queer kisses on TV (or books etc pp). One side's not getting what they want out of fandom (which is so often hailed as The Great Spot To Be), the other's not getting what they want out of canon.

Both sucks, in different ways. Stop bashing each other's heads in, uplift stories that have canon queer romance and stop being jerks about people who'd like more platonic stuff in fandom.

Rarely does Johanne get past the point of being tipsy, her alcohol tolerance higher than most but tonight had been an anniversary of a decision she was glad had happened but still lingered in her mind every now and then. What confused her though was why her feet had taken her to Luche's apartment when he had nothing to do with it.

Maybe I'm 14 brained but I absolutely remember the technique they used in 1.0 in Gridania to reduce load screens. I'm positive they did it here too
