Star Swap, thinking about how long it'd take before people found out.
Jotaro in Josuke's place is definitely the fastest to be found out. He does not know how to do the hair. He doesn't even know TO do the hair. Tomoko's clued into something being wrong FUCKING IMMEDIATELY and, especially given how Jotaro's going to respond to her, she's not going to let it rest till she figures it out. And then older Jotaro arrives and uhhhh yeah he's going to recognize the familiar Angst
Josuke in Jotaro's place, honestly unsure. Holly's observant, and would notice right away, but I don't know how much she'd push it, if at all, and then she gets sick, and Joseph, while super observant, hasn't seen Jotaro in a while to be able to have a baseline. I think Josuke would want to tell people, but there's so much going on that nobody can really focus on figuring it out or deciding who/how to tell.
Nobody knew Giorno well enough to tell prior to part 5. It's all down to if Joseph chooses to tell anyone. And honestly... He might. Trish especially, he might as a way of sharing his own experiences to let her know she's not alone in feeling lost and homesick and in over her head.
Giorno's going to try and hide it. Erina and Speedwagon will notice something's up, but not push enough to figure it out. And Giorno's a good actor. Maybe he'll tell Suzie or Caesar some of it eventually, but... It'd be hard for him.
Jolyne, uh. Dio figures out That's Not Jonathan immediately but it's shortly before he used the mask so he's not seen any supernatural shit yet and is supremely confused. He wouldn't know how it happened or how to respond at ALL. And George might take it as a rebellious phase or some shit, given that he's distracted by being poisoned. I could see her telling Erina once she shows up though.
Jonathan has a month at best before he's forced to tell someone. He does not know how to deal with periods in Jolyne's body. He was raised by a single father in the late 1800s. He's going to have to ask Hermes or someone for help, and probably explain why he doesn't know, and thus where/when he's from, in the process. And honestly he probably wanted to tell someone early on, but was taking a minute to settle in and try not to upset his presumed descendant's life and then he got framed and the chaos and he didn't know who to trust at first- he's glad to tell someone.
YESSSSSSSSS
Out of all the Jojo’s, Jotaro is the most fucked about keeping this secret. The morning he wakes up it doesn’t matter what he does, Tomoko is going to be on him in an instant and he has no chance whatsoever at keeping the body swap a secret. Honestly Tomoko might connect the pieces pretty quick and could even confront him in a “who are you and what have you done with my son” way within a day or two of “Josuke” acting off. On the plus side Josuke doesn’t seem to have had….. really any friends prior to Diamond so that’ll make things a bit easier at least.
Thing are DEFINITELY going to be awkward between Tomoko and Jotaro tho. He’ll explain the situation as best he can, but there isn’t much he can offer beyond theories and giving a more in depth explanation of his admittedly limited knowledge about Stands. Both are struggling to figure out What The Fuck Do We Do, but they’d probably end up working together. Admittedly things are still tense, and it only gets worse when 4taro shows up, doubly so when he learns this kid is apparently his grandfather’s bastard son.
(also I can definitely see Jotaro calling Holly at some point. He doesn’t say anything, but just hearing her voice on the other end of the receiver, hearing proof that she was still alive…… it took a weight off his shoulders)
And your thoughts are basically the same as mine when it comes to Josuke. Holly would definitely realize something was wrong, but she wouldn’t have time to tell anybody because of the Stand Sickness. There would also be an added layer to Josuke’s panic because He Can’t Fix This, and seeing her illness from a Stand would ironically remind him of his own sickness when he was a boy. At least the Crusaders have a healer now?
Joseph…… that’s a tricky one. Nobody knows him so they’d have no reason to even suspect anything. Telling Trish would be an interesting idea, but there is also the chance that he just. Never does. Parts of his story yes, mentioning the Pillarmen and his experiences possibly, implying time travel MAYBE, but he might not mention the “I might be possessing a 15 year old’s body”
For Giorno, while he’d definitely be able to get away with it on Air Supplena, Speedwagon and Erina are going to notice immediately. They might be hesitant to push in the beginning because Joseph growing that withdrawn could be seen as something having happened emotionally, but I think eventually they’d put together the pieces that this isn’t their grandson
Jolyne in Jonathan’s body……. That’s going to be pure fucking gold. She does not take ANY of Dio’s shit. Also, I really like the idea of her telling Erina. After all…… she isn’t the man Erina loves, she’s merely inhabiting his body. It would feel wrong to take advantage of her in such a way, especially because of how genuine those feelings seem to be. And Dio figuring it out himself is just 🤌
And Jonathan. Poor, poor Jonathan. Out of everyone he’s going to have easily the hardest time adjusting. And what if the thing with Hermes is just his absolute breaking point. He’s tired and confused and now he’s bleeding and everything hurts and he just wants to go home, so when Hermes asks hims what’s wrong everything just comes crashing down
And Hermes….. was not at all expecting this. Sure ‘Jolyne’ was a little weird, but she’d just chalked that up to that just being how she was, that that was just her personality. But this? Forceful time travel into a body that didn’t belong to them??? Yeah that wasn’t ANYWHERE on the list

I am but a simple weeb, I’ve got posters and figures of wives and husbands alike. Current number one husband is Jonathan Joestar, how would the submas twins react to their s/o having weeb merch, including the tastefully lewd body pillow. Whether their s/o is ashamed of their weeb status or not up to you
jona isn't my fav joj because my heart is stolen by johnny and josuke. i'm a half retired weeb, alas.
▲Ingo▼
● “Oh, Arceus, not another one,” is the first thing he said when he caught you watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure in your living room. Emmet is a weeb lite and Ingo deals with the consequences of his interests. He doesn't mind your interests, so long as they don't lead to people saying random quotes and posing at him.
● He's not necessarily uncomfortable by the figurines you own. They mostly stick on a shelf or your desk as decoration, and that's fine. Now, if he catches any of them in a jar, then he will have a long discussion with you over common decency. He doesn't feel like it's that strange. Ingo, admittedly, owns many, many Litwick related merchandise. Everyone has their niches and interests.
● What he is not okay with is the body pillow. You are not cuddling it, not when you have a perfectly viable and willing Subway Boss desperate for your affection. He recognises that character, too! It's the one people keep calling him because of Emmet. How dare you. He will literally pay the amount you bought it for just to have it out of the house. That or it's going in a closet for when he's not around.
● If you're ashamed of your weeb status, he'll reassure it's fine and healthy to have hobbies. If it makes you happy, and it's hurting nobody, you're perfectly fine to keep doing it. The older twin may even swallow his pride and watch one with you. Please give him something relatively normal. (Turn on Osomatsu-san because you're a terrible person. Keep 'accidentally' calling him Choromatsu or Ichimatsu depending on how he's acting.)
▽Emmet△
○ He's silent as his eyes show no emotion. You were watching Jojo in the living room, and he had just gotten home from work. There is a moment of fear that you've scared him away. Instead, he takes a seat beside you with his arm wrapping around your shoulder. His eyes are filled with life and his smile growing wider. Congratulations, you have obtained weeb boyfriend.
○ Emmet won't judge your figurines as long as you don't judge his. You'll quickly have an entire shelf full of each of your items. You ask him about the Funny Valentine figure, and he refuses to explain it further. He sets some Joltik plushes around it occasionally. There is another inexplicable Miku plush. You aren't allowed to touch it.
○ Hates the body pillow and will throw it out. Nothing but him should have your sweet cuddles. Well, his and your pokemon are allowed to, but they are the only exceptions. He is fuming when he sees it's Munehisa Iwai from persona 5. Oh, so that's what you liked. You can't hide it in the closet, he will find it and his scrutiny will be laid upon it.
○ If you're ashamed of your weeb status, unfortunately he is too. What kind of respectable train-loving, strong, twin trainer likes anime? He does an awful job at hiding it, but he tries. Though, he will reassure you that interests are only bad when they hurt you or others, and this is doing neither. He'll watch shows with you regularly, and have heated discussions about plots and characters. It parallels his arguments over locomotives with Ingo.

A sequel to this: "Now, let the Fun Begin!" — ~Tachibana residence, Morioh~ (tumblr.com)
Higashikata residence, Morioh 6 PM
Jotaro's car arrives at the house, two car doors open, revealing Medea and Noriko leaving the car and walk to the door. Medea rings the doorbell.
Tomoko: *Inside* Comiiiing! *Opens the door* Oh hey, Med-Chan! *Hugs her*
Medea: *Hugs back* Hey, Tomoko. Thank you for looking after my kid.
Tomoko: It's no problem at all. *Turns back* Hey Josuke, your teacher and Dr. Kujo are here.
Josuke: *Comes out* S'up, Mrs. Tachibana.
Medea: Evening, Higashikata. *To Noriko* Alright, you be on your best behavior while Mommy's gone alright?
Noriko: *Pouting*
Josuke: Still sore from today, huh?
Medea: Come on, I promise that I'll take you to S-City some other time. Ok?
Noriko: Ok...
Medea: *Kisses forehead* I love you, baby. *Stands up* Alright, let's get the show on the road. *Goes to the car*
Josuke: See ya, Mom.
Tomoko: You be safe out there, and you better behave when you're with Tachibana.
Josuke: I know. *Goes in the car* Hey, Dr. Kujo.
Jotaro: *Nods up before starting the car* Glad that both of you are here... Tonight... I'm kind of lonely... I welcome the company. *Drives off the property*
Josuke and Medea: *Confused* ?????
Medea: Wow dude, you actually welcome company? That's a bit out of character of you.
Jotaro: .... *Sighs deeply* I guess it's been over a decade now since we left Egypt... I've been trying to clean up the mess DIO made, but it's proven to be more difficult than I thought. Also doesn't help that grandpa's becoming senile.
Medea: *Rests her head on her hand* I feel you, Jojo. I'm trying to take care of things here in Kakyoin's place, but things have been getting unstable lately... Dangerous Stand users popping up every day, and there's been women disappearing left and right... Who's doing it, I don't know...
Josuke: I'm not sure if this helps, but Koichi said that there's been a serial killer who's been roaming around Morioh for years, which might explain the disappearances. We also have the sneaking suspicion that this asshole is a Stand user as well.
Jotaro: There does seem to be a connection between the two.
Medea: I agree ....*To Jotaro* Say, what are the guys at the SPW saying about a Mafia in Italy? I thought they're all about the supernatural and stuff.
Jotaro: True, but there's a reason why they piqued the Foundation's interests: there's been rumors suggesting that the arrows Enyaba got her hands on were from that particular Mafia, but that's what Polnareff's been trying to figure out since that group doesn't seem to like drawing attention to themselves.
Josuke: Who's Polnareff?
Jotaro: *To Josuke* Remember when I said that only 4 of us survived our fight with DIO?
Josuke: Yeah, you, Dad, and Tachibana are one of them.
Jotaro: *Takes out a photo of the group and gives it to Medea* Yes, and Jean Pierre Polnareff is the 4th one.
Medea: *Gives the Photo to Josuke* He's the one with the white hair and the black tube top, he's a dear friend of ours from France, like Dr. Kujo, Polnareff's a Tarot Stand user represented by the card of "the Chariot". He's a goofball, a hopeless romantic, and a bit reckless at times, but he was never afraid to risk his life to help out the Joestars. He also never gave up on me no matter how stubborn, or angry, or how fucked up I was while working for DIO... he became like an older brother to me...
Josuke: Sounds like a cool guy, I wish I could meet him. *Gives the Photo back to Medea*
Jotaro: ...I was wishing that to, but I lost track of him after he went to investigate that group in Italy. *To Medea* When was the last time you saw him, Medea?
Medea: 5 years ago, he was visiting Morioh to be my best man at my wedding and left shortly after I gave birth to Noriko.
Jotaro: I see... I hope he's alright.
Medea: Me to...
- Medea, Jotaro, and Josuke having a serious discussion in the car during their trip to S-City, loosely inspired by Majora's Mask

Before I Let You Go
Rohan Kishibe x JosukeSister!Reader & Protective Brother!Josuke
Tumblr media
Trigger Warning: violence, inappropriate stand use, mild suggestive themes
Josuke doesn't understand why his sister has been spending even more time with Morioh's Famous Mangaka.
Josuke sat himself down beside Koichi, the pair of friends awaiting the next delicious plate of specialty pasta Tonio was whipping up for them.
“You know, your sister has been hanging around Rohan quite a bit recently.” Koichi’s concern was evident in his tone of voice and the way he avoided eye contact with Josuke.
“What are you talking about? She just likes his art, is all. She’s always been into drawing and stuff since she was little.” Josuke tried to brush Koichi’s worries away, but he too was a bit suspicious of their sudden closeness.
Tonio returned with two heaping plates of authentic Italian pasta, smiling down as he placed each on the table. He gave a small bow and returned to the kitchen. Koichi poked at the new food with his fork, spinning it around as he began to speak.
“I mean, they’ve been hanging out with each other for a while now, but just recently it feels like something’s changed.” The two paused for a quick bite of their dishes and thought quietly to themselves, both suddenly coming to the same conclusion.
“Hey, Josuke. You don’t think your sister would ever date Rohan, right? What am I thinking, that’s a stupid question. It would never happen.” The shorter boy scratched his cheek nervously, staring down at his plate.
“I-I don’t know. She’s never had a boyfriend before. Rohan’s also too proud to date anyone, so we shouldn’t worry our heads over this, Koichi.” Josuke smiled at him, patting the gray-haired boy on the back to reassure him.
“I don’t know, it’s just… The other day, when I went over to return some photos to Rohan, I saw the two of them through the window. I couldn’t see exactly what they were doing, but it kinda looked like he was holding her hand? And placing a kiss on it? I don’t know though, the window was so high up, so I probably didn’t see anything.” Koichi’s voice wavered, the overwhelming silence from his friend concerning him.
He didn’t have the heart to look Josuke in the eyes at the moment, too afraid he may have let the young man down by not sharing this memory sooner. The dread in his heart outweighed his fears quickly, and Koichi looked up to see a Josuke imbued in the darkest aura imaginable. It reminded him of those terribly frightening spirits in the alley that tried to steal him that one day.
“Uh-Josuke? Is everything a-alright? I know I should have told you sooner, but I wanted to be a hundred percent sure about it before you could go off and beat up Rohan again.” Josuke silently nodded, pulling out his wallet and dropping enough to pay for both meals on the table as he scooted his chair in and began to leave.
“Josuke! We aren’t sure if they even are dating yet!” Koichi shouted.
Josuke turned around, a chilling smile spread across his face as he waved.
“No worries, Koichi. I’m off to find out. Sorry about leaving you, I’ll call Okuyasu to take my place while I’m out. I’ll see you later and tell you what I found out.”
All Koichi could do was stutter in surprise at Josuke’s changed demeanor.
Was he putting on a show to calm his nerves? Or was he actually thinking about how it would affect his sister if Rohan was dating her?
The boy returned to his meal, lost in thought, until a tired Okuyasu joined him at the table.
Josuke’s heart was conflicted. If y/n was really dating Rohan, that would mean she was probably in love with the mangaka. He knew his sister wore her emotions on her sleeve and would never fake a romance, but was that true for Rohan? Could he have used Heaven’s Door to make her love him?
He didn’t trust Rohan after what happened with the others, but he did save his life when they fought against Highway Star.
This is what conflicted him. Rohan had a good soul, but was he doing this because he truly loved y/n, or was this another trick to get back at him for the lost dice game or the partial burning of his mansion? Rohan was the kind of person to hold grudges for as long as he saw fit, so this frightened Josuke.
“You can tease and mess with me all you want, but as soon as you bring my sister into this, you’ve crossed the line.” He muttered under his breath, jogging to the café he knew the artist would probably be sitting at.
As he finally spotted the mangaka, enjoying a sip of tea between his quick sketches, he rushed past the hostess and right up to the table. Rohan was caught off guard, a bit frightened and prepared to use his stand until he saw the steak shaped head of hair.
“Josuke? You idiot, I almost attacked you. Why are you rushing me like an enemy?” He blew out his held breath and took another sip of tea.
Josuke pulled up a seat across from the artist, his hands neatly folded in front of him, eyes staring down as he tried to formulate the proper words without working himself up.
“Rohan, I heard from someone that you may be dating my sister. I just want to know if the rumor is true.” Rohan nearly spit out his cup of tea, the shock of the question taking him completely off guard.
After composing himself, the Great Rohan Kishibe began to sweat as he tried to decide whether he should divulge the truth. Y/n would want him to be honest, but he feared the beating Josuke would surely give him if he found out the two of you were dating.
“Your hesitation to answer is making me nervous, Rohan. You better speak up soon, or I’m gonna lose my patience.” The young delinquent spoke through gritted teeth.
“Fine. Yes, we are. We have been for at least a week now. I love her. It’s simple. Why are you asking me? You could have easily just gotten the same information from her.” Rohan took another sip of tea, hiding his face behind the cup as he tried to figure out how the young man would react.
Josuke’s hands reached out from across the table, grabbing Rohan by the collar and dragging him off to the side, so he could pull him in closer. The smashing of glass on the quiet block alerted the hostesses as they worriedly watched.
“Rohan-sensei! Do you need us to call the police?!” Shouted one of the waitresses, who had reached for her cellphone behind the counter.
“No, everything's alright. I can handle this.” Rohan waved her off, Josuke still dangling the man in the air.
“You better not be doing this to get back at me. I can take the teasing and the jabs at my intelligence, but I won’t let you make a mockery of my sister and her feelings.” Josuke lowered the man down, taking a breath to relax himself, then began to drag the manga artist off the café patio.
“Hey! Release me, you brute! Where are you taking me?!” Rohan struggled in his hold, trying to call Heaven’s Door out to control Josuke.
“We’re going to see y/n.” Rohan stopped fighting and instead calmly placed his hand on Josuke’s shoulder.
The boy stopped, turning around to meet Rohan’s stern face.
“I’ll go with you, just stop manhandling me.” Josuke stared into him, debating with himself, then let the manga artist go.
Rohan stumbled back to his feet, dusting himself off as he grumbled under his breath about how rude Josuke was being to him.
The two walked side by side towards the Higashikata residence. When they were nearly a block away, Josuke spotted you being dropped off by Jotaro. You waved goodbye to the older man, but turned around to face them after.
“Good grief.” Jotaro rolled his eyes with a sigh, leaning against the car as you spotted your brother and your boyfriend angrily walking toward you.
“What do you think is up with them?” You asked, curious as to why both seemed to be in foul moods.
“Looks like your brother found out who your boyfriend is. I’m only staying because I don’t want an unnecessary stand fight.” The marine biologist pouted to himself, annoyed.
You looked back at the pair, shaking your head in annoyance as well.
“I should have just told him from the start. I knew Rohan couldn’t keep quiet about this.” You motioned to the two of them to speed up, so you could talk.
As they reached you, Josuke grabbed onto Rohan again, dragging him by his collar with one hand.
“Why must you fling me around like a rag doll!? I already agreed to come with you!” Rohan shouted, squirming in Josuke’s death grip.
“Use Heaven’s Door on her.” Josuke mumbled to the mangaka.
All he could do was shake his head in response, his eyes wide at the order given to him by the delinquent. Suddenly, a second hand came up to grip the other side of Rohan’s collar, both now shaking him violently.
“I said use Heaven’s Door! I want to be sure you aren’t messing with her!” The tears that welled up in Josuke’s eyes shocked you.
You’d seen Josuke cry before, but these tears were different. He looked scared.
“Josuke, stop it! There’s nothing to be afraid of.”
You placed a hand on Josuke’s back, your touch pausing his tirade and causing him to drop his hold on the artist. Helping him up, you touch Rohan’s cheek and nod to him.
“Rohan, I give you permission to use Heaven’s Door on me right now.” He shook his head again, adamant about his refusal.
“I won’t use it on you. Not for that bastard or for you. It’s not right.” You could tell how upset this was making Rohan. He turned his head away from you, not allowing you to meet his gaze.
“Rohan, please. He’s just scared. Just this once. I’ll never ask for you to do this again.” He finally meets your eyes and sighs.
His hands carefully touch your cheek as he whispers Heaven’s Door. The pages on your face open up and prevent you from moving, but you happily look up at the man, reassuring him that you felt safe and accepted this. Josuke came from behind the artist, flipping through all your pages quickly, searching for any scribblings Rohan could have made.
A few minutes pass and Josuke is finally content with his search. He closes the book on your face and your movement returns to you.
“See. Everything was fine. I really do like him. A lot, actually.” You pinch Josuke’s cheek.
Josuke pulls you into a tight hug as you feel his stress melt away. The mangaka crosses his arms, an angry pout on his face. All you can do is sigh and return the hug.
“I just wanted to be sure. If you were to get hurt because of me, I don’t know how I’d live with that.” He squeezes you tighter, your breath leaving your body quickly from his sheer strength.
“Josuke, it’s fine! Trust me! Now let go, you're crushing me.” You squirm, but your brother refuses to budge.
“I don’t think I will. If I let go, you’re gonna go give Rohan a hug, and I don’t want to see that.” The boy then lifts you with little effort and attempts to run, but his plan is foiled when your stand manifests and wraps around his legs, keeping him from moving.
“I see how it is, y/n. Fine, go be with your boyfriend, but no lovey-dovey stuff.” Your vines unwrap his legs as he sets you down.
You give your brother one last hug and a smile, running into Rohan’s arms. He still looks upset, but when you nuzzle into his chest, his anger melts away.
“I’m sorry you had to do that. It had to happen, though, so don’t be too mad at me. I’ll make it up to you, promise.” You look up at him, still in his arms, he leaves a quick peck on your cheek followed by a hefty sigh.
“You’re lucky I’m such a forgiving man.”

Maybe Jotaro, Risotto, Prosciutto, Bruno and Leone friendship HCs with a fem friend thats llike your generic dumbass but they are just like a soft dumbass, she is just too cute to get mad at no matter how stupid she is. So basically a smol sweet dumbass that just radiate baby energy. Like she just runs up to them saying she want to show them something cool and its just a pretty rock but she looks so happy xjsbkss 💖
Pure of heart, dumb of ass fem!friend with Jotaro, Risotto, Prosciutto, Bruno and Abbacchio HC’s
sfw // fem reader
lemme just say, reader is baby and that’s valid 🥰this is so adorably pure ugh ya done killed me anon 🥺💖✨(can very much relate tho, glad my friends put up with my dumb antics)
Jotaro:
“Why am I friends with you again? Yare yare...” A phrase you’ll hear every time you’re hanging out with this tall bastard. He’ll tease you for being a bit of a dumbass but is incredibly drawn to how kind, sweet and absolutely thoughtful you are.
You remind him of Josuke and Okuyasu which only makes him like you even more. And the added cuteness-factor made him admit to himself he does indeed love cute things, no matter how adamantly he denies it to you.
His favourite thing to do is bring you along to the beach for field research, knowing just how wide eyed and giddy you get when you’re allowed to collect shells and rocks or even poke a jellyfish. You seem very good at spotting irregularities in your surroundings, making quite the good assistant to Dr. Kujo.
You’re even allowed to help with lab research, studying petri dishes filled with algae as you excitedly point out a very important detail he hadn’t noticed yet, too tired from working such long hours. Sometimes you’re quite the genius without even trying.
More than anything he loves the amount of lightness you bring to his life, his studies and general headspace take a large toll on him. Any relief is a welcome one.
He’ll often find himself smiling at the thought of hanging out again, staring at the collection of trinkets he keeps in a cute little Hello Kitty box you once gave him, which rests on his nightstand as a reminder that it can’t hurt to adapt your lifestyle of mindless giddy; even just the tiniest bit.
Risotto:
Being close friends with Risotto seems a bit impossible without being in his squad, he’s very insistent at keeping outsiders of Passione more than an arm-length away. Good thing that the stoic man is your capo, phew!
He’s apprehensive at first, not really sure why the soft round pebble you brought him reminded you of the man as he studied the mineral, admiring its softness. “It’s like you! Soft and worn down, but very sturdy and unbreakable.” smiling sweetly at him, excitedly awaiting a response.
What was this new feeling of being appreciated and cared for? Risotto’s never really experienced a friendship so pure. He’ll quietly thank you for the pebble and keeps it on his desk, staring in awe as he’s reminded of your kind words every time he spots it.
He knows the others like to tease you for not always being aware of general human knowledge, shooting them an intense glare as a warning to keep any rude comments or jokes to themselves.
Your friendship consists of him mostly listening to you, quietly taking in all the stories you divulge- so full of excitement, telling him facts you picked up somewhere; the source of these often containing varying levels of credibility. He won’t correct you though. (unless it’s something that might actually endanger you)
He values your friendship so.much. He’s not used to being treated so kindly, receiving random gifts, being praised for a job well done, having someone who doesn’t judge him in the slightest. He’ll do whatever he needs to keep you safe, from others and yourself, along with trying to return your kindness and care. (he tries his best and it’s so cute)
(you guys hold hands for safety when you’re out in the city... just saying, it’s adorable)
Prosciutto:
Prosciutto has a chronic case of “caring older brother disease”. Will need to hold himself back from tying your shoelaces for you, the man knows you can do it it yourself but it’s just taking sooo long.
Just like Risotto, you’d have to be a team member to get close to him in any way. Good thing he recruited you ;)
It’s a bit hard to make him open up about anything personal. You feel like he knows everything about you, while you barely know a thing. When he sees your pouty lip and begging gaze that is way too cute to deny, he’ll cave. Perhaps finally realising it’s alright to lean on others.
He’ll still struggle with continuing the openness, but find relief in your loyalty and understanding. The way you intently listen to his troubles, there to hold his hand if he ever needs it, it makes his heart hurt to know how sweet and gentle you are.
Will keep you and Pesci separate during missions, he’s already getting a migraine from imaging everything that could go wrong without his guidance.
For someone who’s a little more on the dense side, you make up for it in emotional intelligence. Whenever you see how stressed he tends to get, eye twitching without even realising while his shoulders hunch together in discomfort, you come over to hug him. It’s something he had to get used to, the small gesture always calming him down enough to keep going.
Does not appreciate you slipping cute trinkets in his suit pocket. Especially not after finding a snail that one time. You’ve been forbidden from leaving pocket gifts since the incident.
Bruno:
It concerns Bruno just how clueless you can be from time to time. That one time they almost left you behind on a busy station with no cellphone because you found a coin on the ground made him realise you need some extra supervision.
He’s not the type to hold you back from doing things that are guaranteed to result in disaster (unless it’s literally deadly), he wants you to experience the consequences of your own actions.
You do make him hold back his laughter when you try out a stupid idea you know has failed in the past, but change your methods slightly to hope for better results. And you know what? Now he’s curious too.
The man has a weird sense of humour that sometimes even surprises you. He’ll copy your habit of picking up strange trinkets or rocks and asks you to compare findings with him. Like trading marbles, he’ll barter with a smirk.
“Mhh, if you give me that cute shell and that pointy rock... I’ll give you this keychain.” His alluring offer making you question if you’re getting swindled or not. “Hey! That shell is at least worth two stickers!” He’ll heartily laugh at your reply, a mischievous smile while thinking over the trade. “Ok, two stickers and a pebble then.”
With a firm handshake the deal goes through. The rest of the gang never knows how to respond, staring in amazement as their grown-ass capo barters with their grown-ass teammate. He loves being silly with you and forgetting all the pressures of life for just a moment.
Bruno takes his time opening up to you, but finds your presence so comforting it becomes very easy to trust you. As a vital part of his team he finds it important to be able to lean on each other for support and is glad you offer him just as much trust and loyalty.
Abbacchio:
Will never admit he can’t live without you anymore. You’ve become the shining beacon of assumed happiness the man never thought existed. He knows you won’t always be go-lucky and have your own troubles and struggles but admires how you handle them.
Don’t get me wrong, he’ll still gladly tease you for your occasional (well, more like frequent) stupidity. He’ll let you know with a big huff you should smarten up; “Read a book that doesn’t have pictures in it for once.”
He’ll be the first to correct any wrong info you’ve been given, unless he thinks it’s funny. Like when Mista made you believe you needed to order dessert at Libeccio or they’ll kick you out for breaking their beloved rule. It’s only when he saw the panic in your eyes when you finished your main course one day -too full for any sweets to come- that he assured you it was a dumb joke. (he’ll put all the blame on Mista)
Abbacchio seems to tether to people who have a positive influence on him without even realising, it won’t be obvious to him, but just like with his loyalty and admiration for Bruno, he’ll make sure you know it once he finds out.
Not that it’s a bad thing, his need to cling to anything that might help him stay afloat just needs to stay healthy. You didn’t even realise your effect on him, you were too busy trying to figure out a way to turn that scowl into that smirk.
After gifting him a handmade friendship bracelet that had the shortened versions of your names spelled on it, he hugged you. So tightly it was suffocating, you were shocked since he’s never been the touchy type. “Leone! I can’t breathe...” He’ll let go after the complaint but that look on his face will never leave your memory. The face of being loved unconditionally by choice, no matter how unworthy he might think himself of it.

i have a  very specific and very stupid vision in my head for how kakyoin being there for part 4 would go which i will probably never write so instead i will make a very long post about it right now
the plot is largely identical but the differences start out w joseph calling kakyoin and being like “well there is probably another stand user in japan right now just so you know. in morioh. just so you are aware. okay. goodbye” but he forgets to mention anything about his illegitimate son or that jotaro will be there or anything he only talks about the possible evil stand user. and kakyoin is like “keh this is not my business. i have had enough of seeking out stand users. -_- also i will now be taking a little spring vacation in morioh but this is not related and i do not want to see any other stand users.”
so he goes there and arrives on the same day as jotaro and they are staying in the same hotel but they don’t meet at all. jotaro’s first meeting with josuke goes the same way, but kakyoin meets josuke at the convenience store that evening while it’s being robbed. he sends hierophant down the uhh storm drain thing that aqua necklace escapes through but he gets away so hierophant just comes back right away. but josuke sees that and kakyoin also saw crazy diamond obviously so as soon as josuke is done getting harassed by the police for confronting a guy holding a woman hostage and whatnot they link up and exchange the information they have abt what just happened, which is pretty minimal
and at this point the story relies on the fact that josuke does a really awful job of describing jotaro and kakyoin to each other so its like. “oh uhh yeah i basically JUST found out what stands are from my nephew. like earlier today. and also that i have a nephew. it’s been a little crazy” “i see. well, what’s the deal with him, then? you’re young, so he must be a little kid.” “oh nah my family’s kinda messed up. my sister who i’ve never met is actually way older than me and my nephew is like 30 or something” “oh. what’s he like?” “umm... tall? really tall... he has a hat. seems mostly well-meaning but kind of serious. and he’s a stand user” and kakyoin (instantly suspicious) is like “right... so what’s his stand like?” and josuke is like “uh... big... pink and blue. strong. it has.. hair? i think he can use it to teleport or something.” and kakyoin is like well star platinum can’t teleport and he’s purple so it’s no issue :+) bc he doesn’t know about the world or that splatinum has had a change in appearance.
and then when they’re on the phone in the morning josuke mentions to jotaro that he found another guy who he asked for help and jotaro is like “you can’t just trust random stand users josuke :/ what was he like” and josuke is like “oh he seemed fine though.... well kind of weird. like i trust him but he also seemed strange i can’t put my finger on it.” and jotaro (extremely tired) is like “and you’re sure you can trust this guy.” and josuke is like “yeah well he said he’s fought a lot of evil stand users before... and also that he can possess people like aqua necklace did except his stand is like.... made of snakes or something” (he only saw hierophant unraveled) and jotaro is like “sure. whats this guy look like i wanna know what i should be looking for if we ever run into each other” bc hes like umm okay well that stand sounds like. um. and josuke is like “i don’t know he’s just like, a guy. he was wearing a jacket and his hair was brown” and jotaro’s like “that’s all?” and josuke is like “yeah i guess”
so after these interactions kakyoin leaves the conversation like “well plenty of people are tall and wear hats. that stand certainly didn’t sound like star platinum so i have nothing to worry about.” and similarly jotaro is like “well josuke didn’t mention his facial scars or that his eyes are purple or that he’s a wheelchair user or anything so it definitely can’t be kakyoin.”
but then the morning that josuke’s grandfather dies he’s told them both to meet him at his house and jotaro gets there first and is the one to open the door when kakyoin arrives and they make eye contact and they’re both completely fucking horrified and an abba song starts playing in jotaro’s head (waterloo) and another different abba song starts playing in kakyoin’s head (mamma mia) but kakyoin is still extremely severely lethally pissed off at jotaro for ghosting him for a decade so most of the rest of the part that involves the two of them being in the same room is just extremely tense and awkward and every time jotaro very weakly tries to get kakyoin to open up to him again and rekindle their friendship kakyoin is like “i would say you’re a stupid son of a bitch but i would never insult holly-san like that just because you’re such an utter disappointment of a man. you are the worst person i’ve ever met and if you died i would laugh and clap. i can’t wait for you to go to hell. fuck you.” but then jotaro does almost die that one time and kakyoin does not laugh or clap :/
and well i guess eventually after that there’s some sort of reconciliation. and also at some point kakyoin runs out of funds for renting his own hotel room because he’s not being funded by the speedwagon foundation to do so and hotels are expensive so he just moves into jotaro’s room and forces him to sleep on the couch. you get the picture
also there’s a scene where josuke and okuyasu and yukako are all hanging out (Without Koichi) chatting at the outdoor seating of that cafe or something maybe. and josuke is like “man what is it with kakyoin-san and jotaro-san? kakyoin-san really hates him and i can’t figure out why” because neither of them thought to mention to josuke that their meeting at his house was not the first time they ever met, like, as far as any of the kids know they do not know each other from anywhere else. and yukako is like “well jotaro is divorced. so obviously kakyoin is his ex husband.” and okuyasu is like “what? no way.... jotaro-san was never married...” and josuke is like “yeah come on yukako where did you hear that from :/” and yukako is like “he is. he told koichi. he has a kid and everything. and the tension between him and kakyoin is obviously beyond that of two strangers who don’t get along. you boys really should be more observant about these things.” and they’re like “but jotaro-san isn’t gay.... right??” (they also still think they themselves are straight at this point) and yukako’s like “are you fucking serious” and it takes a while but eventually she does have them fully convinced that kakyoin and jotaro used to be married and are now divorced even though they never even actually dated
that’s it

Message in a Bottle
Valentine’s Event: Day Two
Prompt: Jotaro + Ocean
Ao3 Link
Author’s Note: Reader is gender neutral, but they do have an ex-boyfriend. I was super excited to write this one! Y’all know how much I adore this man, so I had a lot of fun thinking up ideas for this prompt.
Tumblr media
Jotaro always found solace in the ocean. After everything that happened back in Egypt, he expected his life would slow down and get easier, but the truth was far from that. His life had only grown more and more hectic as he got older. He didn’t expect the Old Man to rely on him so much, or how busy the Speedwagon Foundation would make him, or how much of a headache it would be to get divorced.
However, despite all of the chaos currently in his orbit, the ocean was a constant. Unlike everything else in his life, the ocean would always be there when he returned.
He’d recently returned to Japan, not only to escape the wrath of his soon to be ex-wife, but to conduct some family business. Morioh was a quaint little town, with only a few things to do, but Jotaro didn’t mind. He wasn’t here to mess around, he was on business. Despite this, the beautiful, rocky beach he passed on his way into town certainly caught his eye.
After a few days in town, Jotaro found himself with some odd hours to spare. With a pack of cigarettes in hand, he found himself strolling down the street after asking the concierge at his hotel for directions to the beach. The walk was quick, but noisy; despite being such a small town, Morioh sure had a lot of hustle and bustle. However, all that noise fell away as Jotaro found himself at the lonely beach. There was not a soul on the sand- just how he liked it.
Lighting up a cigarette, Jotaro put the stick in his mouth as he kicked off the shoes for a little stroll on the sand. In that instant, Jotaro realized how busy he had been as of late. While he certainly was fond of Josuke and his little posse, they’d monopolized a lot of his time. That, along with the heap of work required for The Speedwagon Foundation and his doctorate degree, and he was long overdue for a break.
Warmed by the sand on his toes, Jotaro let out a deep sigh as he slowly made his way down the beach. Taking the occasional drag of his cigarette, he let all of the tightness in his shoulders dissipate with the smoke. The quiet tugging of the waves lulled him into an almost mindless headspace, all of his worries leaving him as he wandered along the shoreline. Admiring the view of the overcast sea, the gentle blue waves curling a few meters away from him, he felt something he very rarely felt- ease.
Almost as if some higher being wanted to cruelly rip him out of his reverie, a strong gust of wind blew through, kicking up the sand as Jotaro’s hat went flying. He desperately went to grab for his cap, but it flew just fast enough to evade his grasp. While this certainly pissed him off, Jotaro couldn’t be bothered to chase after the accessory, so he simply muttered his signature catchphrase as he picked up the pace to pursue it. In a little flurry, it flew through the air before finding its way to the sand, fluttering around as the wind kept messing with it.
Jotaro’s eyes widened as his hat began to roll towards the water line- he’d hate to lose his cap. Panicked, he started darting towards the garment, desperately trying to snag it before the encroaching wave claimed it to the sea. Seeing as it was a few meters away, it seemed futile; even with his Stand, it was still a little too far to reach. He stretched out his hand, just before the wave crashed onto his hat-
In a blur of motion, Jotaro watched as a pair of hands latched onto the rim of his cap, pulling it off the sand just as the water ran over the sand. Looking up, he saw you, wincing as the cold wave rolled over your bare toes, hat in hand. After taking a moment to adjust to the temperature, you turned to meet Jotaro’s eyes as you lightly shook the sand off his cap.
“Just in time!” You giggled to him, chipperly, “Here you go!”
He nodded, murmuring a “thank you” before securing the hat back to his head. You smiled at him, returning his nod before sauntering back to your beach chair. Jotaro watched as you returned, curious as to how he didn’t notice you sooner on his walk. You had a whole set up- a little book, your chair, and a rather large bottle of wine.
Jotaro wasn’t one to involve himself in other’s business, but the inner marine biologist in him couldn’t resist.
“You shouldn’t bring glass to the beach. You could hurt someone,” he deadpanned, pulling your attention back to him. You gave him a confused look before he motioned towards the wine bottle, realization filling your eyes.
“Well, I was gonna use it for a little project,” you sighed, taking a seat back in your chair, “Can you give me a pass after saving your hat?”
“You could kill some sea creature with that. If that gets in the water, you could do some real damage,” he responded, completely ignoring your last comment.
“Says the man with a cigarette between his teeth,” you shot back, your light smile turning into a mischievous smirk, “If that were to slip from your mouth, some seahorse could choke on it.”
Jotaro made a slight ‘tch’ noise, taking another drag from his cigarette. He hated when other people were right.
“What’s your little project anyways?”
He watched as you reached for the bottle, stripping the gold foil off and putting it in the basket you brought everything in. Despite your lazy body language, Jotaro could see a tinge of sadness in your eyes after he asked the question.
“-I just had my boyfriend of five years break up with me,” you began, popping off the cork, aiming it just right so it also landed in the basket, “I thought he was gonna propose soon. Turns out he would rather be with the girl he cheated on me with. I was planning on downing his whole bottle, writing a little message, and sending it out to sea.”
He gave you a puzzled look, so you felt the need to continue.
“I waited for so long for this guy to marry me, but turns out it was all for nothing. I’m just gonna write my number on that slip of paper and see where it goes. I’m letting fate do the rest.”
Jotaro wasn’t one for sympathy, but he gave you a somber look. You expected him to extend a little ‘I’m sorry’ to you before shuffling off, but surprisingly, he stayed. For a moment, you both looked into each other’s eyes, trying to figure the other out.
Jotaro now noticed your disheveled appearance, finding your hair messy and eyes slightly red and puffy; this break up was certainly recent. You were simply struggling to comprehend him. His eyes were sympathetic towards you, but the rest of his face was unreadable. His face, including his excessive hat, jacket, and turtleneck made you curious- who exactly was this guy?
“I’m willing to share, y’know,” you chuckled, extending your arm to offer him the bottle, “You can keep an eye on me, make sure I don’t kill any dolphins.”
“Yare Yare,” he rolled his eyes, pulling his hands in his pockets. Despite his look of distaste, he stepped towards you, plopping down onto the sand. He surprised himself, wondering why he would ever want to spend his free time with a stranger. Was it how you were both in similar situations? Was it the pain in your eyes that he shared? Could it be how you went out of your way to save his hat despite the awful things that had just happened to you? He didn’t know. Frankly, he didn’t care either, grabbing the bottle from your hands and taking a quick swig.
“I didn’t get your name,” you spoke, taking the bottle back from him, “I’m (Y/n).”
“Jotaro,” he replied, watching as you gulped down a large portion of the bottle in one go.
“Jotaro,” you parroted, “That’s a nice name. Unique.”
He nodded, watching you intently. In between long stretches of silence, you two made passing conversation. Both of you were bizarrely drawn to each other, the quirks of the other presenting themselves like a mystery to be solved.
In the end, you never ended up sending out that message in a bottle. You ended up giving that message to Jotaro yourself, ripping out a page of the notebook you brought along to scribble your number down for him.
You said you’d leave your next relationship up to fate, and it seemed that a sudden gust of wind was decisive enough.

The Grassy Hill in Morioh Town
Second years Josuke and Okuyasu discuss the future
“Oi, Josuke.”
“Yeah?”
The pair were sprawled out on a hill, gazing up at the night sky. Well, Okuyasu was. Josuke had his eyes closed, so he might have been on the verge of falling asleep, but he still answered his friend. It was the beginning of summer and their second year of highschool was coming to a close, which meant that they were more than halfway through their highschool journey. Neither of them were star pupils, but with the help of Koichi and some good old fashioned dedication, they were passing well enough.
Not having a serial killer on the loose anymore did give you more time to study.
“Have ‘ya thought about the future? Like, what are you gonna do when you graduate?”
Josuke opened his eyes now, lazily lolling his head to the side to glance at his companion, who was pointedly not looking at him. He followed Okuyasu’s gaze upwards to see a little red dot moving slowly across the sky, a distant helicopter from the next city over.
“Dunno. Always thought I might follow in gramps’ footsteps, but Mom has always told me it’d be better if I experienced something different before I made that choice. After everything that happened last year, I think she’s right,” he sighed, sitting up now. Okuyasu didn’t join him, “Probably go to the college in S City for now, so I can keep living at home, or at least come home all the time.”
“Your pops could probably pay for an expensive school, like in Tokyo or somethin’.”
“Probably, but I don’t think I’m ready to go that far. Too much happened here that I don’t think I’ve really... unpacked yet, ya’ know?”
It was Okuyasu’s turn to sigh, and Josuke watched his chest rise and fall slowly in the ensuing silence. After a moment to collect his thoughts, “Did I ever tell you what Big Bro would tell me?”
Gritting his teeth, Josuke pulled his knees close to his chest, though a boy of his size would struggle to ever look small. Keicho had become a sore subject in recent times, “He said a lot of stuff.”
“This was different. I never knew if he was serious or anythin’, but he always said-” Okuyasu paused, rolling onto his side so his back faced Josuke, “Never mind. It’s gonna make you mad.”
Josuke pouted, reaching an arm out to rock Okuyasu back and forth by his shoulder, “I won’t get mad! At you, at least. You can’t leave me hangin’ like that, man!”
“Fine, fine!” Okuyasu exclaimed, rolling back over and swatting Josuke’s arm away. He was smiling, which his friend was always glad to see, but it flattened into a tense expression as he began to speak, “He always said that once he figured out how to kill dad, he'd kill me and then himself.”
The sound of distant crickets could be heard, and little else.
“Never knew how serious he was, though, because sometimes he’d talk about how his life would begin after he killed dad. I think, really, what he was tellin’ me was ‘don’t even bother thinking about your future’.”
“That’s really shitty of him to tell his little brother, I think,” there was little hiding the rage in Josuke’s voice. After losing his grandfather, Shigechi, and coming close to losing both his own life and his best friend’s, Josuke had become more serious (when it came to matters like these, anyhow). His age probably had something else to do with it too- sixteen became seventeen, and the gap between him and adulthood grew ever shorter. And that meant less time to hear the people you like accept whatever bullshit their shitty older brothers fed them, “No matter what he said, your future is your own to decide.”
Finally Okuyasu sat up, fruitlessly smoothing out his hopelessly tousled flattop, “Yer probably right, but it still makes it hard to think about what to do eventually. Maybe I’ll do manual labor? Always hear about how they’re hirin’ down at the harbor. Don’t think I’d mind that so much.”
“You’re gonna stay in town?”
The look Okuyasu gave him was all at once scandalized and confused, “Of course! I ain’t got anywhere else to go, after all. Pops’ shitty attitude- cause he was kinda mean even before he started hittin’ us- meant the rest of our family cut us off. And besides, I gotta take care of him, and this place already has a buncha Stand users, so I don’t have to worry about lockin’ him up too tight.”
Unable to help himself, Josuke grinned wide, slinging his arm around Okuyasu’s shoulder in a way that had long been commonplace between them, and would stay so for many years, “I’ll support you in whatever you wanna do, man, so long as you don’t go forgettin’ about your ol’ pal Josuke-kun here!”
Okuyasu laughed, relaxing into the embrace with ease, “That’s my line, asshole! Don’t you go become a city slicker and leave us all behind, ya’ hear!”
“You were the one who grew up in the city!”
Their verbal jabs soon became a physical tussle, and their worries about the future faded away that night as they rolled around in the grass atop that hill in Morioh Town- the place they would always call home.•

Jojos Doing Jojo Things (with each other)✨😌
Tumblr media
*sweating as the part 5 hc asks start piling up in my inbox*
*looks at the one that mentions Jonathan*
Hello~~ I’m sorry for being criminally inactive here, I forgot during that long 6 month lockdown that I actually had a real life outside of the internet and now I have to go do real life things?? Instead of doing nothing but writing?? Crimes, I tell you.
I love the idea of Jonathan interacting with all the other jojos so I thought I’d take a little break from part 5 whump headcanons to fulfill this one :D SO HERE’S SOME SELF-INDULGENT HEADCANONS ABOUT JONATHAN DOING FUN LITTLE ACTIVITIES WITH THE OTHER JOJOS BECAUSE I KNOW WE ALL NEED IT RIGHT NOW😭😭😭
◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇◆◇
Joseph (lets say Youngseph in this case because shhh)
-Hear me out but KNITTING
-Let this man do some nice calm things please
-Joseph has absolutely no way to connect with Jonathan. Like. Nothing.
-He doesn’t see the two of them as anything alike even though they both have the star, and when it comes to connecting with such a righteous, nice dude he’s a bit :/ about it
-He also doesn’t want to do anything stupid (In his words.) He hates baking, he’s never been into reading and school, and the two can never really click with sports
-Our man Jonathan has searched his heart and soul for something to bring the two of them together but Joseph is always just not into it >:(
-He’s almost given up on connecting at all BUT—
-One thing they do have in common? Erina.
-BOOM. Johnny-boy suddenly has ideas >:)
-Joseph is really put off when Jonathan shows up with a ball of yarn and needles and in the most innocent way possible he’s like “I have something to show you ^-^”
-the first thing Joseph thinks is NO FUCKING WAY. If Caesar or his mother or anyone caught him fucking knitting he’d never be able to live it down
-So instead he just watches as Jonathan sits by the fire, and it looks really boring at first but he just starts going at it
-And of course the gears start turning and all his brain sees is “fast task?? task I can be good at? something quick my hands can do??”
-And Jonathan looks up to take a break to see Joseph perched on the edge of the chair in complete awe, but the moment he asks if he wants to know how to do it, Joseph gets really withdrawn :/
The rest of their conversation goes a little like this:
“Isn’t that meant for girls?”
“Why would hats and scarves be only for girls?”
“But its—”
“You know...I’m making Erina a matching hat and scarf for her birthday. I could use a little help with the scarf…”
“...”
“We can make it a race.”
And with a fire lighting in his eyes, Joseph accepts the contest even though he has no idea what he’s doing. But isn’t that what he does best?
-Needless to say, he becomes obsessed.
-When his greatest fear comes true and Caesar finds out, he’s too obsessed to care about the teasing
-Joseph is good at something that Caesar isn’t. Caesar is jealous. Caesar picks up knitting.
-Are knitting contests even a thing?? I don’t care because Joseph and Caesar could probably open a fucking etsy shop with all the stuff they make (and absolutely shamelessly at that)
-Anytime they meet someone new it's immediately “which hat is better?” “Joseph’s is worse, right?” “Can you start the stopwatch for us?”
-Even in his older years, he never actually stopped making things for Holy, Suzi, and even sometimes Jotaro (thought Joot wouldn’t be caught dead wearing any of it in public)
-He actually progresses past knitting and making clothes in general becomes a secret passion of his
-The hat he’s wearing in part 4? He definitely made that. And don’t even think he doesn’t send Josuke the tackiest shit in the mail
Jonathan is very proud :)
Jotaro
-Animals. Is that even a question?
-Jonathan was always more of a dog or cat person, but the moment he finds out that Jotaro’s interested in marine life? MAN GOES ALL OUT
-He not only researches the shit out of marine biology just so he can hold up a conversation with him, but he also buys A SHIT TON OF BOOKS for his favourite angst man
-We all know that Jotaro isn’t exactly a man of words, but his heart is touched when they exchange a few sentences and Jonathan shows up the next day with a book all about what they were talking about🥺
-Like—Jonathan was always scolded for never listening to his father, but when it comes to stuff like this, Jotaro swears he’s able to read his mind
-Most people can barely get him to utter a sentence, but when these two are alone they’ll talk for hours about the ocean
-Holy was actually pretty worried for a while that Jotaro rarely ever opened up to anyone, but after seeing the two of them talk it was like a weight lifted off her shoulders :)
-They go on trips all the time to study water life. First, it's just to the river a few minutes away. Then they start going out to the lake nearby, and then they’re suddenly borrowing Joseph’s private boat and going on all these “research trips” together
-Which just consist of Jotaro taking hundreds of pictures and surprisingly never shutting up about what he sees (which is definitely a first)
-They pass by snooty, rich fishermen all the time who make fun of them for only looking at the animals, and Jonathan secretly uses Hamon to attract the fish to anywhere but where the fishers are lol
-I can blame snipster on instagram for introducing me to Smiletaro but the pure happiness and smiles of happy Joot on this boat with Jonathan is like a DRUG
-Star Platinum is absolutely thrilled, and when Jonathan realizes that Star is an amazing artist, he actually buys the stand a cute little purple notebook to draw all the ocean life they come across :3
-The moment they get back to shore Jotaro’s all -_- again around people, but you can still see the excitement in his eyes if you look hard enough
-When he gets into school for marine biology, Jonathan is so fucking proud
-This is an au which means anything can happen so I formally declare that Jonathan definitely got Jotaro those golden dolphin-shaped coat pins when the man first goes off to Uni
-He wears them as a good luck charm :3
Josuke
-Josuke is soooo easy to get along with, especially since both of them are such warm people :)
-Jonathan figures that it wouldn’t be hard to find something fun to do together, but when he actually thinks about it...he really knows nothing about what Josuke likes to do
-He ends up just asking the kid next time they see each other, and they end up just agreeing to teach each other one thing the other doesn’t know
-Because the power of KNOWLEDGE BABYYY
-Josuke shows up the next day with an entire fucking Nintendo 64 and is absolutely set on teaching him how to play something
-Erina just kinda watches like 👁👄👁 as Josuke plugs it in and Jonathan is confused but also SUPER EXCITED because he barely even knows what a video is but there are also video games??
-After much internal debate, Josuke decides on Ocarina of Time because he’s worried Jonathan will have a fucking heart attack if they play something like Mario Kart
-Also he thinks Jojo would enjoy the whole “righteous hero coming of age” archetype thing because,,,you know,,,
-They start it up and immediately Jonathan is like WHAT and has no idea how to play and dies in ways that Josuke didn’t even know were possible, but they somehow make it to the first temple with a lot of help from Josuke
-Right before the boss fight, his mom pulls up like “bitch we gotta go come on” so Josuke sees no harm in leaving the system at Jonathan’s and coming back next week
-Oho,,,ohohooo,,,
-He comes back a week later to a dark house,,,Erina’s off on some trip, and he can hear the faintest “HYAH!” coming from the living room
-He walks in to find Jonathan in the exact same spot he left him, ALL OTHER SAVE FILES ARE COMPLETE, and he’s in some obscure location doing a side quest Josuke didn’t even know existed
-Turns out he’s really good at quest games
-After Josuke realizes that Jonathan’s managed to beat the game more than once, he asks if he wants to try out another game
-To which Jonathan replies: “There’s MORE?”
.
-Aside from giving Jonathan a crippling video game addiction, Josuke also learns a vital thing about Jonathan Joestar
-Hamon ^-^
-Josuke’s a little surprised that Jonathan can even see his stand, and Jonathan has no other way to explain it than that it must be connected to his Hamon somehow
-To which Josuke is like “what” and Jonathan realizes that his stupid fucking grandson decided not to tell ANY OTHER Joestar about Hamon
-He’s no Zeppeli, but he could try and teach him...even if it didn’t work, it would still be a nice bonding activity
-When Jonathan finds out that Josuke’s stand ability is revolved around healing, he’s overjoyed because he might have a better chance
-They start small with breathing exercises and meditation, which eventually lead to Jonathan trying to teach Josuke how to make things like flowers
-Since it doesn’t exactly come naturally to Josuke, things don’t exactly work out,,,but both are unsurprisingly happy when Josuke manages to make a single flower bloom :3
-It’s not much, but it’s there and it honestly makes Josuke feel much better knowing that he could eventually learn how to heal himself, too :)
Giorno
-Jonathan considered teaching Giorno Hamon a while ago, but he realized that his stand already has the properties of Hamon, if not just in a more humanoid form
-And when Jojo puts two and two together that he and his son can both grow a lot of plant life, he has the perfect idea
-Garden buddies!!!! :D
-They grow everything you could possibly think of, and to top it all off, Giorno fills the garden with all this animal life :)
-When it comes to biology, Giorno never shuts up about it. He’s the quietest kid when it comes to virtually anything else but prepare for MAJOR info dumps about frogs and his vast knowledge of flowers
-Speaking of flowers, them just sitting and growing them together and talking about all of their favourites? Yes please
-Although they love to accelerate plant growth, there’s one patch in the middle of the garden that they’re determined to grow naturally
-Also them growing and eating carambola (star fruit) together because it’s my pocket dimension that makes no sense and I get to decide what fun fruits the Joestars get to eat together
-the garden becomes a great place for picnics and outings and the best place to go when things get too chaotic
-Giorno starts a plant journal where he records everything that ends up growing there, and Jonathan starts impulse buying all these flower guide books so they can look at pictures of them and put their favourites in the garden :3
-They end up creating a little pond in the middle of everything, and Giorno puts a whole bunch of frogs and fish in it and it's all very tranquil and calm and nice :))

Thunderstorms (Josuke Higashikata x Reader)
A Josuke Higashikata x Reader one shot where you were once part of the Crusaders, coming to Morioh with Mr. Joestar, and your pomp baby likes you.
Word Count: 5.2k
Tumblr media
A chilly breeze under the warm sun. You were standing on the port of a moving boat, facing the wind that blew your [H/C] hair as you leaned on the sill with a calm expression, eyes closed and lips quirked into a wide smile. You loved moments where you just partook the natural quiet sounds around you, the splashes of water and whispering currents being music to your ears. The day has been serene so far, but you didn't really come here for vacation.
"Shizuka! Come quick! Come quick!"
The voice of a man called for you, disturbing your moment with the calming ocean. You stood from leaning and yawned, popping some stiff muscles before you ran off in panic upon realizing that you were supposed to take care of the person that called for you. Yeap, you forgot of your job for over a second.
You entered the lounging room of the boat and darted your eyes on the back of a crouching man who seemed to be inspecting something on the ground beside the couch. You couldn't see what it was but you were relieved, placing your hands on top of your heart as you sighed.
The man shifted his head and glanced at you with wrinkled eyes and parted lips, "I tried slipping on it, Shizuka, but I couldn't!"
You peeked over him after you reached his side and saw something yellow, "Is that what I think it is?" You replied, giggling as you realized his comedic attempt on trying to solve cartoon logic.
"This banana peel couldn't make me slip.." The old man repeated as he tried to stand up. You held his arm and helped him settle on the couch. He grabbed his wooden cane and placed it in between his legs before setting his eyes on the oceanic scenario outside the windows, "[Y/N]..! I'm sorry.. the name Shizuka has been on my mind lately.. It's-it's a pretty name, don't you think?"
You smiled at his words, grabbing the banana peel from the ground before sitting beside him, "I think it is, Mr. Joestar!"
Familial and friend, you were someone that Mr. Joestar would describe with those two words. Being a member of the Crusaders, and being the youngest one at that, had a big contribution on your platonic relationship with the old man. He was always looking out for you while your brave self assured him that you're afraid of one thing, but you're not afraid to kick the lingering enemy Stand users' peaches. He believed you like how a father would believe her daughter's imaginary stories, making sure you won't feel like you were invalidated. Although, his worry that the trip would scar you, both physically and mentally, increased to the max when the group arrived at Egypt, which led to you being transported back to your lonely home by the Speedwagon Foundation.
You couldn't understand the reason of his worry along with the other Crusaders, so you had a childish decision to to cut ties with them, only to reach out a few years later. At that time, you talked to Mr. Joestar himself, not even hiding the fact that you broke down on the phone when he hesitantly told you that only three of your group survived. You were joyed that he still considered you as a part of the Crusaders, but you were disappointed that you were immature, making you miss all the trivial things that happened. The old man comforted you like those nights when you were missing your parents, fondly telling you, "That's a no-go! The boys wouldn't want you shaming yourself now, and neither would I. Live your life like you're supposed to, little [Y/N]. Everyone would be so proud of the woman you'd become!"
Now that you're on the legal age of 18, you're trying to fulfill your number one goal in mind, and that is to be a doctor under the Speedwagon Foundation. Sure, you're a bit forgetful sometimes, but you have a free pass for being under special training which was only possible because of your Stand.
..and your connection with the Joestars.
You and Mr. Joestar were sitting in silence, lost in reminiscing thoughts, until the sound of a water vehicle grew to be disturbing the peace even if it sounded far.
"What..?" You glared at the surroundings, frantically looking from the door where you came from to the side of the windows, figuring out where the vehicle is most likely to be, "Mr. Joestar, I have to check something outside. It'll be quick, a'right?" You stood up, rushing outside after you received no reply from the unbothered old man who still had his attention on the scenery.
You ran through and up the hallway until you reached the edge of the deck. You held on to the red fence as you leaned with squinting eyes, trying to see who was on the.. motorboat approaching the boat you're on. The attempt took minutes, making you sit on the floor in boredom before you jumped to your feet in excitement as you finally saw the passengers of the smaller vehicle. One was a boy in a blue uniform you absolutely do not know and the other..
The other was your childhood emo crush who now wore a white hat and coat, "JOTARO! Jotaroooo!" You screamed, waving both your hands with a cheeky grin. This is your first time meeting him after a decade! You forgot, but you were just as excited when you were informed about meeting Jotaro Kujo during this boat trip with Mr. Joestar.
"I heard you're a Marine Biologist now, huh! Remember when you knocked that one shark out to save me?!" You ironically screamed before laughing, following the motorboat to the back as the boy in uniform whispered to Jotaro while pointing at you. The adult man didn't mind the two children around him and focused on driving the motorboat, tugging the brim of his hat down as he gave himself a small smile.
Two of the Speedwagon Foundation crew was already waiting for the motorboat when you reached the back, "Sirs! You knew they were coming?" You asked as you reached their side, eyes still on the said vehicle.
"[L/N]? We actually informed you about this.." One of the two answered, making you rub your neck as you looked up, trying to remember it happening. You tried.. and got extremely confused in just a minute that you didn't even notice that the passengers of the motorboat had boarded yours. You were snapped with your sudden realization that you've told Mr. Joestar you'll only be quick with checking, making you run back to the room he's in.
Okuyasu Nijimura, who actually thought you ran off because he stood in front of you, looked back at Jotaro with a puzzled face. The adult man shove his hands inside his pockets and gave permission to follow you with a jerk of his head, to which the student complied to, but not without a scrunched face and a dramatic hop on the small wall that separated the stern of the boat from the hull where the lounge was.
Mentoring three different teenage boys has been a pain in the back. Jotaro doesn't know if he should be happy that you're back with them or.. he should just devise an escape plan from all of this. Either way, with you here, he's certain that he doesn't have to look out for his Jiji that much.
The boat arrived at the harbor safely. Knowing that an enemy posed as a crew and wanted to get rid of Mr. Joestar was a bit surprising, you even thought Okuyasu was Mr. Joestar's son at first! But now that you're seeing his actual son who had an eye-catching pompadoured hair, you weren't surprised on how charming he was.
You whistled and nudged Jotaro who was on your side. Everyone had their eyes on the father and son walking away hand in hand, "Woah, that's Josuke Higashikata? Sheesh, Jotaro. What's with y'all Joestars being so hot and everything?"
Jotaro glared at you, "Gimme a break. You're older than him."
You glared back and faced him, "I'm literally 18 and he's 16! Don't say that like I'm some sort of creep!" You jokingly punched him on the shoulder and voiced an ora, to which he responded with tipping his hat down and turning his back on you, "Hmp— Oh, may you please tell Josuke that I could tend to his wounds? I don't wanna ruin their moment right now, so maybe later?"
Jotaro turned his head and nodded, "Coolness! Thanks, my dear ocean man!"
Several weeks have passed since yours and Mr. Joestar's arrival at Morioh, and you've grown closer to the group as to be expected. Okuyasu always goes out of his way to meet you at the hotel you're staying at because of how much he enjoys your pampering when he blurts to you about how his pomp-haired friend gets the ladies in school, he had even told you that Koichi had a scary girl obsessing over him, not forgetting to mention that she was cute anyway. You seldomly meet the said boy, Koichi, as he was not the type to go around town if not needed, and only accompanied him once when he walked his large fluffy dog. Josuke on the other hand, always comes with Okuyasu to the hotel but he doesn't speak to you and only observes your interactions with his friend and his father while you also played with the invisible baby they found, whose name is now Shizuka. You didn't know there was a relevant reason as to why he wouldn't talk to you even if you tried to start a conversation, so you shrugged it off and just shot him genuine smiles whenever your gazes met. You were technically the older sister in the gang and it would make sense that Jotaro was the older brother, but he was more of an uncle figure.
Josuke planned to continue his tsundere facade until he was sure of asking you out -on a date- for a hangout with just the two of you, but what he didn't expect was for a certain someone, who he just can't seem to get along with, to poof up and force him to ruin his own plans.
"Listen, listen! I met a Stand User earlier today. I was just doing my own thing when he took photos of me without my permission. He even directed me of what to do and straight up got mad when I hesitated! Turns out, he's a mangaka who found me as a good reference and I was like, good and not perfect? He glared at me for a second then he just summoned his Stand! Yo! It was a cute, white and gold dude! Of course he didn't get the chance to use the dude on me, I have my totally cute Stand too! Next thing I know, he invited me for coffee! Rad, huh?"
You didn't even need to mention his name for them to know who you were talking about. The two boys who listened, Josuke and Okuyasu, looked at each other in shock before talking to themselves like you weren't there. Calling him the 'spider-licking guy', badmouthing him and expressing every inch of their dislike for the man. Inviting you for coffee was a bad call, it just meant that you two became friends and scheduled a date. Josuke tried his best to make you back out of it, eventually talking to you all the time and taking care of you, his father and the baby, like the older brother —your partner— he wanted to be since the time he realized he likes you. He couldn't accept that the mangaka had the upper hand, so he tried to do everything he can to change that.
But of course, the 'pure love kind of guy' failed.
The day of your date with the great mangaka arrived. You were in a good mood as you prepared, the voice of Kai Harada playing on the background radio noise. The man had said that today is a sunny day, to your delight, but there is a chance of a hard gloomy storm at afternoon, to your dismay. If there's one thing about nature that you dislike the most, it's thunderstorms. Although those weren't mentioned, the anxiety of being out in the open while it occurred crept over you. You observed yourself at the vanity mirror: your hair fixed into a [H/S] that you do only for special occasions and a [F/C] [O/F] that fitted your style and body as you kept your face in a natural but fresh look, eyeing details of yourself to shrug off the previous thought.
It's now 1PM and you are finally face to face with the mangaka, seated outside the famous Cafe Rengatei in Morioh. You arrived earlier than the meeting time, making you certain that your efforts to fix yourself went to a shame.
"It seems you've made an effort for your meeting with me today. You look quite presentable," Rohan started, leaning on the chair as he crossed his arms and had his chin up.
You quirked a brow, copying his action, "And what does that imply, Mr. Good Reference?"
"It implies that you're a perfect reference right now so I'll be straight to the point of this meeting," He frankly stated. Puzzled at the word 'meeting', your brows creased, "I want you to let me use Heaven's Door on you, and you will be paid. Since I didn't get a good— let you get away before, I'm asking for the permission you're requiring me of. I heard from my friend, Koichi, that you might have an interesting story. I could have just used Heaven's Door on him, but his information of you is limited. So, is that settled?"
And here you thought this was a date.
You bit your cheek from the inside and held the clothing on your lap, "Yeah, yeah. When do we start? Oh, and you don't have to pay because you sounded real genuine and kind. Thank you very much!" You replied, a bit of sarcasm coming with it.
Rohan raised an eyebrow and battled with your blank stares before speaking, "Tch. I have the money to pay, [L/N]. Meet me at my house tomorrow morning. Don't make me wait." He grabbed his sketchbook from below the table and stood up, giving you one final, sassy look before he left.
You watched him walk away, sighing deeply as his form vanished. He got you hard with the coffee invitation and he didn't even stayed a little longer to order and enjoy an afternoon snack with you. Oh, right.
You were just acquaintances. Nothing more and maybe less. It's not that you liked him in a certain way, you were only bummed that you requested a day off for this. Taking care of the people you care about and studying for your medical course are much better than misinterpreting a business deal for a casual date. You sighed once again, lightly hitting your head on the table, "This is the work of the worst enemy Stand."
The disappointment took over your senses on your surroundings, so you became more oblivious to the Josuke that was watching you far behind.
And yes, he's been there all the time.
Shocking and unbelievable to the ears of the mutual friends of Rohan and Josuke, but the mangaka was the one to set you and the student up. It's true that Rohan had heard of you from Koichi, but that's not all. He had also heard that Josuke had been acting distant to you when all he talks about at school is.. well, you. How did he even know about that? It's absolutely not the work of Heaven's Door, Koichi just had to slip up.
You and Josuke both stayed at your respective places, unsure of what to do next now that Rohan had done his part. A few minutes passed, and you both sighed at the same time. You stood up, deciding that you'd go back at the hotel and play with the adorable Shizuka, while the nervous Josuke continued watching you, figuring out the right time to show up.
You were supposed to walk back, but then drops of water started falling from the sky. You opened your palm and looked up the sky, only to see gray colors eat up the blues. You closed your eyes and sighed once more, whispering to yourself, "This day is a work of an enemy Stand."
Not for Josuke who brought an umbrella that he'd share with you, though.
The drops of rain became a heavy storm within minutes, making you run to the nearest waiting shed. There were only hints of you being soaked, but it didn't help your body that had low resistance towards the cold. In this moment where you hugged yourself to keep your body heat, you remembered the Crusaders. The group of big men who all had a soft spot for you, and the small dog who accompanied you at your mischievous times. They were the group that always made sure to keep you warm, the group that always assured you that thunderstorms—
"AAAAH!"
You squealed upon hearing the deafening noise from above, the sound of pouring rain quickly enveloping after. You whimpered and tucked yourself in the corner of the shed, hands covering your ears and tightly gripping your now messed hair as you trembled greatly. Slowly and weakly, you dropped yourself, your knees meeting the coldness of the ground. This was supposed to be a nice day. A nice, enjoyable day that involved no stress and no professional work. Mr. Joestar also wanted you to enjoy but this, fighting back the urge to sob while you silently hollered in the storming public, isn't exactly your idea of spending your leisure time.
"[Y-Y/N]?"
Josuke stood just outside the waiting shed, a black umbrella, protecting him from the rain, in hand. He ran when he heard your scream, resulting to his shoes and pants to be thoroughly soaked. He looked at you with worry and guilt, although clueless as to what exactly caused your outspoken self to curl into a whimpering puppy. Rohan.. It must've been him. He shouldn't have just stood there watching, "[Y/N]..? Did Rohan do—"
A loud thunderstorm sounded once more, making you scream and push yourself to the corner. Josuke gasped, it's.. the thunderstorms that's causing this.
Josuke entered the shed and closed the umbrella, hanging it on the roof. You weren't paying him any of your attention, your conscious mind devoured by unsettling thoughts. Your phobia of thunderstorms was something you caught from your childhood. Something you caught from the freezing and lonely nights without your parents, people who you most expected to be there for you when you're being secluded by fright.
The boy who was now crouching in front of you noticed your lack of attention as he's been calling your name. He bit his lower lip, feeling more and more soft as each second passed. He should have known.. he usually did ask Mr. Joestar about you after all.
Josuke gave up on calling you and proceeded to his second move, which was to cover you with his gakuran. He stood up, unclasped the remaining buttons and gently enrobed you with the garment, slight joy sparking in him when you quickly accepted and wrapped yourself with it. He expected that you were still clueless of a person here with you, but you really are filled with surprises.
"T-thank you.. Angel.." You muttered, a serene feeling slowly emerging when you thought a kind citizen had randomly decided to be concerned over a breaking down woman. You exhaled deeply, eyes opening as your whole form has been blanketed by the coat.
"Angel? You think that suits me?"
You felt your heart skip a beat upon hearing the familiar cheerful voice. It wasn't some random citizen who helped you, of course it had to be someone you know.
You draped the coat over your shoulder and wrapped your body with it, head turning to the side where your sight met the ever-majestic boy's grin, hastily noticing his biceps as he only had a yellow sando as a top. Your eyes widened in surprise, bringing back the coat over your head to hide the creeping blush on your face. The turn of events had you sweeping away the thoughts of your phobia, at least.
"A-ah..? Of course it suits you! You're my.. our JoJo after all!" You faced him and answered after sighing inside the coat, trying to compose yourself, "Your g-gakuran is so warm, Josuke. I might just steal it now!"
Josuke let out a chuckle, comfortably glad that you feel better now. He had one more move up his sleep and he'd ecstatic if he could do it, but maybe some other time.. or later..? Woah there, he shouldn't be thinking about that right now. But for real, he's curious on.. how having you in his arms would feel. Your body insufferably close to his.. your loving arms wrapping around him as he shared his body heat so that you'd be shivering no more.. Sh*t, this is still a crush, right?
"U-uhm, Higashikata to e-earth..?"
"Ah? What? Oh! Yeah, sorry! W-were you saying something?"
Josuke got too far with his thoughts that he stayed still, staring at you with half-lidded eyes and a smirk, a pink shade on his cheeks which were becoming evident even with the storm blocking out the light from the sun. You didn't consider that he looked at you like a lovestruck boy and snapped him from his trance, concerned that he might be feeling cold now.
"I was asking if you.. uhm.. now that I think of it, I m-might sound like a creep," You said, still trembling. You closed your eyes and sighed, meeting his encouraging expression as you opened them again. A pursed smile formed on your lips, "You could have your coat back although I.. I was hoping if we could share it but—"
"Of course we can! I thought you'd never ask, [Y/N]!" Josuke jumped to his feet, a confident grin on his face. You looked up at him, confused, "Brr! I'm starting to feel cold too! Well?" He happily lied, crossing his arms and making an up and down motion over his biceps to add to his bluff. Josuke's not going to let this chance pass! You were the one to offer the.. intimate gesture, he'd be cursing himself forever if he messes this up.
You nodded with your mouth agape and tried to stand up on your feet. Your legs were numb for having to carry your weight on the ground, so it'd make sense if you stumbled for a bit. Fortunately, a strong and quick-thinking boy was there to catch you before it even happens, his hands —which flicked the coat— supporting your waist as you held on his wrists. Oh boy, why is it that you think he'd be a perfect gym partner?
"Perfect gym partner, huh? I wouldn't mind that too, Ms. [Y/N]!" Your eyes widened upon his words, "Yep, you just said it out loud!" Josuke laughed, giving you the urge to turn around in embarrassment but you couldn't, his stubborn hands locking you in place. An awkward silence engulfed as you looked into each other's eyes, the sound of pouring rain joining in again.
You gulped as Josuke sighed and cleared his throat, "I know this isn't a good moment to say what I'm about to say, but I don't think I could do it anywhere else without being awkward so I'm going to say it," Josuke sighed once more and you blink as a response. He sounded complacent yet also shakened while your confusion is getting ahead of you, "I'm really, REALLY going to say it now! I'm actually going to say it, will you let me say it? Uh.."
"..F*ck this is harder than I thought."
You creased your brows, adamantly switching to your sister form, "Language, JoJo!" You retreated your hands and tapped his cheeks, and.. you know you shouldn't have done that.
From another person's view, yours and Josuke's position just got more romantic than ever. Your small hands cupping his adoring face as his were firmly placed on your waist.. His almost bare top fighting the cold breeze brought by the storm just so you could be warm under the cover of his gakuran that was appealingly big on you.. This is much preferable than what Josuke daydreamed. You even called him JoJo, which he's never heard you call his nephew or his father with. Holy.. you're oblivious to the fact that you're setting the mood for him, aren't you?
You were about to pull your hands away when he swiftly locked your wrists, your waist now free from him. You gasped and felt your heart skip a beat. It was just like when you first heard his voice earlier. Being with him like this feels good but.. it doesn't feel right.
"I'm being pushy here, aren't I?" Josuke chuckled shakily, "I feel like bursting at this moment, so.. Ms. [Y/N], would ya listen? I know it'd be uncomfortable and freaky, but I seriously need to say it."
You barely nodded, his hands bringing down yours and holding it in his. He was looking down at the pairs, smiling at how yours fitted in his, "It's only been weeks since we've met— heck, since I've met you and Mr. Joestar, and this isn't really the right time for me to be having this.. puppy crush when enemy Stand Users are on the lose, but I don't usually crush over someone this hard." He grunted, his hands delicately squeezing yours, "I.. I like you, [Y/N]. Like, like-like like you. There.. I finally said it."
The moment would have been cute because of his mulish confession, but you just had to ruin it for the poor boy.
"Josuke we're.. we're family." Josuke flinched before looking at you, his arched brows hitting each other. The tables have turned, and he's the one that's waiting now, "Mr. Joestar, Jotaro.. they're like father and older brother to me while.." You sighed, successfully pulling your hands away from his weakened grip, "Josuke, I don't want to trade my close relationship with your father's family.. for a possibly temporary feelings for me."
Your words hit like Cupid shot their arrow backwards, but Josuke didn't let himself be completely fazed. He was taken aback for a second, but that doesn't mean he didn't expected this. He knew how much the Joestar Family meant to you. You're even proud that you owe your life to them, to such good people that were the epitome of justice and heroic greatness. He took note of that fact when he was getting to know you through his father, who seemed to enjoy telling stories about you. Somehow, he could say he was prepared for this.
"But, doesn't that mean if I proved my feelings aren't temporary and I'm proudly certain of it, I would have a chance with you?" Josuke grinned, tilting his head as he shove his hands in his pockets, "Also, Mr. Joestar approves of you being his daughter-in-law. Man, I'm just glad you didn't accept his offer to adopt you years ago. That would have sucked!"
Your lips opened and closed like a fish underwater, making Josuke smirk inwardly. You were almost speechless, and that's a good thing for him, "How did you.. Why do you even.." You stiffened, fiddling with his coat as you turned on to your side, facing the raining scenery, "Josuke, I don't know why you're doing this, b-but this ain't funny, y'know? Don't you like, see me as your older sister or—"
"At first," You glanced at Josuke who was now facing outside too, "When you introduced yourself as Mr. Joestar's caretaker, yeah," He stole a glance back and pouted, "But when we got to know you and literally took care of me like you're my caring girlfriend? Hell no. I could even bet Okuyasu also had a crush on you, but he told me you were like a mom, a cute mom at that." He shook his head, chuckling at what he said, "Misunderstanding your actions was a sh*tty move for me but I don't regret it one bit, Ms. [Y/N]."
There, Josuke did not just confess his romantic feelings to you, but also admitted how his decision to like you seemed inappropriate. It was valid nonetheless, as you weren't related to him by blood, but you take pride in being the Joestars' comrade —even if you seemed thirsty for them some times— and he acknowledges that.
No one gets to choose who they specifically prefer to be with, anyway. He had to 'Dora!' his way out of his boundaries with you or he would be lying to himself, which he dislikes the most, aside Rohan.
"Are you sure Mr. Joestar's okay with this?" You asked, sighing, "I don't mind giving you a chance now that—"
Josuke didn't even let you finish and proceeded to lock you in his arms, pulling you in excitement as his arms snaked around your neck and your head, "I said 'chance', JoJo! You haven't even asked me if you wanted me to be your girlfriend—"
"So you like me too?" Josuke cut you off again, smiling down at you. You sighed and nodded, accepting your defeat. He shouted a yes, an arm punching above, hitting the roof of the shed, "Aw—! But hey, you just admitted that you like me! Take that, Rohan!"
You slightly pulled away from Josuke, "What does Kishibe have to do with this?" You asked, glaring at him. Josuke shook his head, scratching the back of it as he grinned. Rohan totally had something to do with this as he didn't only set them up, but even tried to discourage the lively Josuke by saying that you'd reject him and tell him that you only see him as family. Technically, he was right— but that didn't last long!
You were going to ask about it again when a thunderstorm sounded, breaking down your collected spirit as you ended up holding yourself close to the boy in front of you. His playfulness aside, he fixed his gakuran that was still on you and wrapped you in his arms protectively, assuring you that you're going to be okay. Another thunderstorm followed, startling you even in his arms. You were a shaking mess, your fists grabbing a handful on the back of his sando, face buried on his chest. He should've been shivering from the cold all this time, but your presence provided warmth for him and he's grateful for that. Josuke willingly let you nuzzle yourself around him, knowing that it comforted you and it brought contentedness to his feelings.
"I hope you won't mind being the rainbow that brings color to my life, [Y/N]."
"Y-yeah, JoJo.. u-unless I strike you as a lightning w-when you break my heart.."
"I'm frightened that you can be scary while you're scared [Y/N] but.. sh*t, I just realized.."
"What i-is it now..?"
"It's also hot."

Killing Innocence
Tumblr media
Requested by: Anonymous
Word Count: 1.4k words
Synopsis: a serial killer is running amok around morioh, and there’s only one thing that connects the victims together. Can you and Josuke find out what it is before you become victims yourself?
Trigger Warnings: mentions of death, brief mention of stalking
It had been years since you had met Josuke and defeated Kira. Josuke had grown a bit older and a bit wiser, however one thing had not changed. Your friendship with each other had been quite steady and hadn’t changed a bit. You might have even gotten a little bit closer if you had to admit.
Until another stand user had appeared around your town. And of course it was another serial killer. It had appeared that this killer was not targeting adults, but teenagers and people in their early 20s. Something much different than what you were dealing with before.
According to rumors, someone had seen the perpetrator with a snake that bit the jugular vein on one of the victims. However, that would end up not being the cause of death. The students of the local high school were panicking, including you and Josuke. Kids were missing school left and right in an attempt to stay away from the killer.
It had sadly taken a few victims to identify a connecting thread between the dead individuals, but it was certainly a hard to believe one. Every victim of this strange killer had been a virgin. But that was a fact unknown to the general public, as it was thought that this was too invasive to the victims and their families.
You had just started walking home with your friends Okuyasu and Koichi when the news hit; another victim had been found and with no identifiable evidence. Not even a cause of death could be found for this poor soul. You lived close by to the rest of your peers so it only seemed right that you walked home with them; it also gave you the advantage if the unknown serial killer came across you.
“Oi, guys! Okuyasu shouted, acting like someone with a secret they couldn’t wait to share. “Another body was discovered while we were in school! Don’t you think we oughta be more careful about where we go and what we say?” Josuke chimed in, spouting “Okuyasu, we have stands. We defeated a serial killer already, one more isn’t going to stop us.”
Okuyasu nods at this, looking like he’s thinking deeply about something, before suddenly throwing his hands out to the sides and yelling to the sky. “Whoa! I’ve got an amazing idea!! Josuke, your gramps is a police officer, right? I bet he knows all about these dead guys! You gotta ask him!” He gets a massive grin and nods at Josuke expectantly,
“Okuyasu, friendly reminder that my grandfather was killed by Angelo, remember?” Okuyasu looks ashamed, putting his hand behind his head. “However, I still am in contact with some of my grandfather’s friends, maybe they could help me out?” Okuyasu’s face lit up again. “Yeah, that’d be great!! Get ‘em to tell ya all about where this guy does his killing, and who he’s been going after!” Josuke knew it wasn’t going to be easy to get the information from his grandfather’s friends, but he had to try.
Looking at you, Josuke tapped you on the shoulder and began to talk. “You want to come with me to the police station? I just need to drop my stuff at home and say hi to my mom before we head out. Is that okay with you?” You responded quickly with a “Yeah, that’s totally fine! Always good to have more time to spend with my friends.” You wave goodbye to your friends as you near your separate houses. Hopefully this police station visit would give you some clues on how to defeat the stand user.
Walking down to Josuke’s house, you enter through the front door, dropping your bag the minute you enter. You say hello to Tomoko, and head back on your way to the police station, Josuke in tow. Upon arrival to the police station, you say hello to the officers as your friend introduces you to them. The two of you head towards the back to an empty desk cluttered with knick knacks and papers. You can take an educated guess whose it was. The man whose desk is closest greets Josuke and asks who you are. Being polite, you speak up and tell him your name, saying that you’re a friend of his. Trying not to act suspicious, Josuke clears his throat and begins to speak.
“There’s been another reported serial killer on the loose in Morioh. My friends and I have been pretty worried about the chances that we will become victims of them. The victims seem to be around our age and that’s just adding fuel to the fire. Any chance you could tell us what connects all these crimes together?” The older officer was not at all pleased with this and declared with a firm and resounding “no.” Josuke frowned, but gave his best “I’m an innocent boy and you can trust me” face.
“Now Josuke, you know we can’t be telling that sort of thing to civilians. This is an open investigation and we don’t want anything to go wrong if info gets into the wrong hands.” Josuke subtly has Crazy Diamond turn the photo on his grandpa’s desk towards the police officer. “Please? One last favor to my grandpa? He knows you would’ve been understanding with him…” With the family photo now looking right at him, he would certainly be feeling a lot more guilty. “Oh... alright, but just this one time and don’t let me hear you told anyone else. It took a while to figure it out due to many hoops to jump through and due to not wanting to ruin these kids personal lives. And it goes without saying that you cannot spread this information as to offend the dead, okay?” Josuke was a little bit puzzled but managed to spit out an “okay…”
The officer sighs and looks away from you as he tries to think of the best way to put this. “These kids were uh... they all died as virgins. We don’t know why this killer chose that as the connecting factor, but it’s the only connection we could find.” Josuke’s mouth dropped. That was the last thing he thought could have been the connection. He assumed the maybe the criminal had spray painted a naughty word on them, or maybe the kids had been caught up in drugs? You on the other hand, were terrified. This meant that you could be a target, and that even with stands, you could not be protected.
“I see...” Josuke finally answered. “Well... thanks for the heads up. We’ll be on our way now. Nice talking to ya. Now we can make sure that our friends and I will stay safe.” And with that the you exited the station in a hurry. Sweat dripped down your face as you paced faster and faster. What were you going to tell Josuke, and what were you going to do about your own impending mortality? The stand user could come out at any moment and ambush you.
Once outside, Josuke turns to you with a less than calm look on his face. “Okay, can I talk to you about something kinda personal? And do you promise not to laugh?” You’re a bit confused by what he means, but nod anyway. He looks around to see if anyone might be listening, then leans in close to say “this guy might target me if that old guy is right about how he picks his kills...” You look at him a bit dumbfounded, someone so attractive, funny and playful, a virgin? You stutter over your words before blurting out “I thought I was the only one! Koichi has Yukako, Okuyasu I’m pretty sure has a girlfriend he’s keeping from us, and that just leaves us two.” He gets over his internal shock that you’re in the same boat fairly quickly and nods back. “So we gotta have each other’s backs... never know when he might strike.”
As the two of you walk back towards his house, a man you don’t recognize steps into the road in front of you. “Glad to see you little squirts are finally out in the open again. Now I can have my fun…” “Has he been stalking us?” Josuke says to you, frankly unsurprised. “Yeah, he has been.”
“Our virginities are a hell of a reason for us to get into a fight. If we make it through this, wanna make sure it can’t happen again?”
“Fuck yes.”

Snippets Ch. 2 : Johnny and Josuke (4) with the Same Crush (2)
Previous Chapter
A set of multiple drabbles/oneshots combining characters (i.e Jojos) from multiple parts and AUs.
A/N: this was meant to be a chapter with casual banter but it went from 0 to 100 real quick-
.::.
Well, it seemed like Johnny only had two options at this point. Those being to either sabotage the date, or let Josuke steal the person he had his heart set on for almost half a year now.
Neither were very enticing to him, but he couldn’t just do nothing. As selfish as the latter option sounded, something deep down inside him just didn’t want to give up (y/n) like that. It had been so long since he had genuine feelings for someone. Hell, maybe he’d never had true feelings for anyone before. But with you, it was so different, so foreign, yet it made him cherish even the little things you did for or with him.
He can’t..no, he won’t let you slip from his grasp so easily.
“Is that right?” He asked, malice being hidden as best as he could manage.
His cousin sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, sporting an excited yet reserved grin.
“I actually dunno, but I guess its worth a shot. Remember the time I snuck into her school and pretended to be a student?”
“And then the two of you called me for help, even though I was at home waking up from a nap..”
Josuke burst out into a fit of contagious laughter at the thought. The jockey could lighten up enough to let out a chuckle of his own. The two of you were really desperate at that time. He had gotten caught by one of the teachers by suspiciously not being on the roster.
“Oh shit, I should probably get out some clothes for it!” The Japanese boy sprinted to his room to pick out something perfect for the date. He advertently brought nearly half of his closet with him to the States, something Johnny wasn't a big fan of, but somehow Josuke managed to fit all of it into the small closet in the spare bedroom Johnny's house harbored.
"Everything you buy is like 200 dollars," Johnny rose his voice loud enough for Josuke to hear. "Can't you just throw anything together?"
The pompadoured man nearly ran back in there to smack the jockey from pure disbelief. "Of course not! There's a lot more nuance to it than that!"
Johnny scoffed, not caring if Josuke heard. "Didn't you buy the two of you matching outfits earlier this month? Just go with that."
At the mention of that particular clothing, Josuke stopped rustling through his bag of clothes and immediately lunged for the outfit in question. "You're a genius Johnny!" Josuke happily praised him. It was a dark purple ensemble, complete with gold accents on the cuffs of the jacket and the color. Yours was a high cut skirt, with dark stockings to match. Even though you rebutted, he insisted he buy it for you after seeing you try it on, stating that it was perfect for your figure. And who were you to decline someone offering to buy something of such a hefty price for you?
Again, not something Johnny was completely on board with, but as long as you were happy, he was fine with it. Didn't look half bad on Josuke either. Yet something still didn't set right with him about the length of your skirt. Don't get him wrong, he loves it, but why would Josuke be so adamant about buying it for you? Hell even now he was rambling something about how you absolutely killed that look when you first put it on. Searching his mind, there was only one answer he could come up with.
“You dumb pervert, the reason you’re buying her that kinda stuff is because you wanna see her legs and shit.” Johnny unapologetically accused.
“Wh--what?!” Josuke’s face had grown into a shade of red the jockey had never seen on him before, not even at his worse jabs. “Y-you don’t have the right to say that! You’re the one thinking it! That’s not what I was referring to at all!”
Josuke looked legitimately pissed for once. The American had seen his wrath before, but not directed towards him. He wasn't frightened or anything like that, but the unsettling feeling wasn't one to be ignored easily.
Yet still, Johnny had pressed on with his accusations.
"Whatever you say. I swear though, you'd better not treat (y/n) like one of your ol' groupies. She deserves much more respect than some "high school crush" phase you're going through." At this point, the Kentuckian knew his emotions were getting the better of him, but he didn't care. He wouldn't let Josuke have his way with you like this.
"Phase'?! What are you trying to say, I can't love anyone seriously just because I'm not older? I take my relationships a lot more seriously than you do!" The majority of the Joestar family knew well about Johnny's flings when he was younger, yet this was the first time he was actually confronted about it. There was a tight sting in his chest from hearing it brought up, which only served to piss him off even more.
"At least I know the difference between wanting to sleep with a girl and actually wanting to be with her! You're just a kid with your damn puppy love!" Johnny raised a prodigious finger at him.
"What do you know about love?" Josuke barked.
Johnny's fists balled up. That was uncalled for. Honestly it was surprising to him Josuke was the first to insult him with a statement so emotionally packed.
It seemed like Josuke himself was shocked as well, his eyes immediately widening in regret and dismay, covering his mouth with his hand.
This was enough to prove to join as clear as day that Josuke's feelings about (y/n) were just as strong as his. As much as he didn't like it, he knew he couldn't stop his date now. Josuke's mind was made up.
The teen walked past Johnny into the back room again, muttering a 'im just gonna get ready' nearly under his breath. His tone sounded genuinely sorry, and it made Johnny feel like an ass for pushing him so far.
He was going to be in utter despair whenever you showed up at their door, but for now all he could do was anticipate it.

Basic summary of One Percent and some Rai headcanons!
One Percent is a soft romance and slice of life story that follows Rai Mamezuku, starting out during his school years and progressing through the early part of his adult life, with his adult years being the largest chunk of the ongoing story.
I do keep to the canon story in some aspects, such as his parents both being killed by WoU when he’s fourteen, but I’ve altered some things with the intention of giving him a happier and less lonely life.
I like the idea of him being taken in by Norisuke after the deaths of his parents, where the Higashikatas become like family to him. He respects Norisuke as a father figure, and becomes much like another older brother to Hato, Joshu, and especially little Daiya who he develops a very sweet relationship to. The romance aspect of this story is between Rai and Jobin, who have been close friends since they were eight (another divergence from canon because it makes more sense to me, considering they’re pretty much the same age and most likely would have gone to school together)
Aside from the Higashikatas being his new much larger family, and Jobin as his closest friend and love interest, he also makes friends with a girl named Sora as well as Yoshikage Kira. Sora is in the same class as he and Jobin, and dated Jobin just before the start of the main story with the hope of actually being noticed by Rai, but with no such luck. Despite her failed attempt to gain his interest romantically, she becomes a good friend to both him and Jobin. Though Kira is a few years younger, when they encounter him they discover that he, like them, is a stand user, which is what brings them together as eventual friends.
Of course, the story is a romance, and Rai and Jobin begin dating when Rai is fourteen (before his parents deaths), they stay together through high school and after graduation. When Rai is about to turn twenty is when Jobin decides to take the risk and buy a home for the both of them (a lovely villa in the countryside, close to the mountain that Rai works on) and proposes to him the first day he brings him to their surprise new home. 💕
I have quite a few personal headcannons for Rai that come into play during the story and are a big part of how I interpret his character and personality. It’s pretty clear to me that he’s neurodivergent, likely somewhere on the autism spectrum (like me), so I hint at some of his quirks, triggers, and struggles throughout the story and how Jobin learns all of these things, how to understand him, comfort him, and work with him.
I also headcannon him as being a demiromantic asexual. As an aromantic asexual myself it feels like a very possible orientation for him to me based on his character and temperament. Based on what we know about him it can definitely be assumed that he’s never been in a relationship in canon, nor does he seem to have any romantic or sexual interests, being that he’s kept almost entirely to himself for at least 14 years, lol. So, asexual? It’s definitely possible. I based the demiromantic part on what he expresses of his relationships to other people. Rai doesn’t trust people and refuses to engage with people until he decides they’re trustworthy. Once they’ve gained his trust, he’s exceedingly loyal and becomes attached to them, as he does with Josuke. If he’s like this when it comes to friendships, it’s safe to say he would be even more cautious when it comes to romantic relationships, and it is unlikely that he would experience romantic attraction until he built a very close friendship with a person first.
Rai’s personality in One Percent-
I tried to keep pretty close to his canon personality, just expanding on it. So, in the story, he’s fairly awkward and antisocial towards most people. He typically seems almost perpetually grumpy and unimpressed with everything and everyone, never smiles or laughs (at least not quite like most people), and feels unapproachable to most. He struggles to connect with others, has a hard time communicating his emotions, and is often misunderstood as being rude and uncaring. In reality, he’s quite sensitive and requires encouragement and validation from the few he trusts. He can be stubborn, arrogant, logical to a fault, and difficult to fully understand his true intentions, all of which make him a challenge to work with and befriend, especially when combined with his naturally suspicious nature and distrust towards people in general.
But these things are only a fraction of him, and once his trust has been earned he shows much more of his deeper traits. He’s incredibly loyal, willing to do anything for those he loves, even die for them. He will stand by his loved ones even if there is nothing for him to gain from it personally, even if he doesn’t fully understand... if it’s important to them, it’s important to him, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make it happen. He is honest and observant, you never have to worry or wonder about how he thinks or feels about something, and he’s never the type to lie or be manipulative, he’ll always be straightforward and genuine. You can trust him with anything, and he’s a good friend to go to for advice since he’s very smart and logical (just... don’t go to him if you’re only wanting someone to tell you what you want to hear and spare you the hard truth, lol). Rai loves deeply when he finds people that he considers his friends and family, and though he isn’t very expressive about it with his words, he conveys his love with his actions. He loves to cook for his friends, making their favorites often, and tends to express himself through giving them gifts and making things for them. He is quite thoughtful and enjoys doing nice and helpful things for the people he cares about. Because of his observant nature and great memory and attention to detail, he is fantastic at remembering “the little things” about people. He’ll remember all the little things someone likes and dislikes, their favorite colors, shows, books, foods, their favorite flower, whether they get cold easy or if they’re uncomfortable with a specific sound or texture, everything. He can tell exactly how someone is feeling just by looking at them, nothing gets passed him. All of these traits make him a friend to really treasure, because friends like him truly are difficult to find, so his friendship is well worth the effort. 💕
Though Rai is fairly antisocial, he’s certainly not shy. He’s self-confident and can be very chatty, especially when it comes to any of his special interests. He is authentically himself, and entirely unapologetic about it. He tends to be quite chill and laid back, with an energy level on the low side. Too much chaos and drama exhausts him quickly, so he avoids it as much as possible, and tends to dislike people who are overly emotional or dramatic. He likes to take life at a slower pace, which is why he finds joy in nature and the “simpler” pleasures of life, such as gardening, cooking, reading, sewing, crafting... he’s just a peaceful soul, and would prefer the world around him to be that way as much as possible.
It’s obvious that he loves nature and plants, but he also gets along well with animals and enjoys taking care of them. He can connect with and understand animals better than people most of the time, and finds comfort knowing that animals don’t judge him or misunderstand him the way that humans do. He keeps cows and chickens that forage freely on the mountain, and has one special chicken in particular that he and Jobin keep as a pet at their home. Why special? Well, because she has a stand! I’ll tell more about Pita and her stand, “How Bizarre,” another time. 🐓💕
So anyway, if you actually read through this far I am glad that someone out there is as big of a fan of Rai as I am and hope you enjoyed my headcanons, and maybe you’ll enjoy my fanfic One Percent 🥰

Fantasy au!
Josuke x F! reader- ch 4.
It takes two
MAJOR TW for handsy old men this time, I promise there won't be one in each chapter. I've made a system for those who are uncomfortable with these scenes or squeamish at blood.
(Very minor TW for claustrophobia at the end)
* is when you should stop reading.
** is when the handsy scene stops.
*** is when the squeamish scene stops.
The cold chill of the night started to bite into your clothes after sitting still for so long. This, frankly, sucked. In less than a few minutes you had found out that Josuke was an uncle, his nephew was older than everyone in your traveling party, and was working with the speedwagon foundation.
The foundation was so well-respected, devoted to making medical miracles for all lands. Protectors of endangered species, plant, and animal alike. Why in the world did they have a roadblock set up? The questionable men in their employment set aside, this baffled you to no end.
You had tried to ask Jotaro, the nephew, but he never actually talked to you directly in any way shape or form until he demanded that you stay outside the "base of operations" tent. Okuyasu and Josuke could waltz on in though, which pissed you off.
And so that is where you had been for the last several hours. Not wanting to wander off and run into the greasy man from earlier, you stayed as close to Josuke as you could-
You flinched.
You mean, you stayed as close to your traveling companions as you could. The two of them. Right.
-You had been slowly slipping in and out of consciousness, sat right outside of the tent's entrance on some old wooden crates as you waited for them to finish whatever business they had to discuss. Night had long since fallen, and the longer you had to wait the more anxious you became. The look in that man's eyes still lurking in the back of your brain. You shuddered. The quicker you could leave, the better. The sound of voices raising in the tent took your mind off of the memory, just for a moment however.
"Are you kidding? We're not leaving her." The agitated voice was Josuke's. Were they talking about you?
"She has no stand. She is weak. If you take her with you she will be killed." Lower and gruffer in tone, Jotaro's response was a bit harder to pick out. There that word was again. Stand. It was easy to tell that there was just so much about Josuke, Okuyasu, Jotaro, the foundation even! So much that you didn’t know. It was frustrating. When you were in the Princess' service it was so easy to learn everything about politics, about the inner lives of nobles and almost everyone in the kingdom- just by listening. But here, it was like you were just a dunce!
"If she goes home she will be killed. As long as she's with me I can keep that from happening I-" a breath. You assumed that Josuke was trying to collect himself. When he spoke again he was quieter, you had to lean closer to the tent to hear him.
"She knows the princess better than anyone else. I promise she will be of use but I'm not taking no as an answer."
"No is my final answer." They were talking about you. Your heart sank. They couldn't actually be thinking about leaving you here?! You knew it was dangerous when you agreed to accompany Josuke, you knew you might get hurt, you knew it would be difficult! But now, after you've come so far away from home, Jotaro expects you to just go back? Hell no!
You were so caught up in your own thoughts that you almost didn't see the shadow lurking in the corner of your vision.
Almost.*
You stood, ready to take off, but it was too late. The stench of tobacco and grime filled your nostrils as the greasy man from earlier grabbed you, covering your mouth with his good hand as his other arm snaked around your waist, restraining your arms. No one in the tent noticed as he dragged you far behind another set of cargo boxes. You struggled against his grip as best you could.
"Calm down. I'm not gonna hurt ya too much." He snickered, disgusting hot breath hitting your ear. It felt like acid. You tried to be louder, to make more noise through his hand, but he dug his nails into your cheek.
"Shh now, wouldn't want to have a little accident now would we?" Blood was rushing in your ears. Why did this always happen? It was always you who got into trouble, who always attracted creeps. And every time someone else had to come to your rescue! You were tired of being considered so… so weak. So defenseless. You started to get pissed at this guy. And a pissed gal's gonna do what a pissed gal's gonna do. You bit down on his hand. Hard.
He cried out in pain, retracting his hand immediately. His grip around your waist however, did not falter.
"JOSUKE-" Your shout was cut short as the man bluntly hit your nose with an open palm, leaving a stinging pain behind. You hadn't even thought before calling out for him, why had it become such a reflex? Blood dripped down your nose as his hand grabbed your throat this time.
"You wench! I'll-" Shouting made him hesitate for a moment. You didn't have time to figure out who's voice it was before the man threw you to the ground, by the time you looked back at him he was ready to run.
**
He didn't make it two feet before Josuke tackled him to the ground.

It was a bloody mess of fists quicker than you could've ever imagined. You stumbled to your feet when Okuyasu and Jotaro arrived at the scene. Okuyasu shouted words of encouragement, while Jotaro looked as pissed as he always does. It was like all the yelling had muffled as you spotted the blood dripping down onto your new dress. The red color was all you could think about. The blood, the bruise, the man's disgusting hands. Your own hands were shaking. When did that happen?
***
In the meantime, Jotaro had dragged Josuke off of the man. Okuyasu proceeding to yank him up and restrain him after Josuke had left him alone. Josuke only caught his breath for a moment before turning around, looking for you desperately.
You only looked up from your haze when you heard Josuke call your name. He looked completely out of sorts, bruises on his face, a stray sticking up out of his carefully styled hair. You flinched when he grappled you into a desperate, tight hug. The scent of dirt, blood, and the stupid, overly expensive cologne he always had on him- the scent of Josuke, comforted you. He was holding you safe again, he was there. You relaxed, returning the uncomfortable, chainmail embrace. He was holding you closer than anyone ever had before, and it was nice.
He pulled away and took each of your arms in his hands one by one, checking for bruises frantically. His worried face alone made your heart wrench. When he was satisfied that your arms were okay, his gaze shifted up to your face. Your eyes closed as his warm hands cupped your cheeks, his thumb running along your cheekbone before he let out a relieved sigh. Your stomach fluttered as he kissed your forehead lightly.
"Are you ok?" You weren't sure how to respond, but you didn't have time to.
"Josuke." Jotaro rumbled. He held you close for just a second too long, and only the residing heat of his warmth remained when he pulled away. Okuyasu and Jotaro had gathered around the two of you, and even though he had called Josuke's name, Jotaro looked dead at you for the first time. You tried not to wilt under his scrutiny.
"If you really want to help," He addressed you, "-you will be given a medical bag and expected to stay here as a nurse. Unless you choose to head back to the palace." Before you can detest, Josuke and Okuyasu do it for you. It might've been the overwhelming amount of emotions clouding your reasoning, but you started to get angry at the amount of times you had been interrupted.
It was hard to focus on everything they were saying. Words firing back and forth, Okuyasu starting to get just as defensive as Josuke did. You started to space out the more they continued on and on and on…
It was unnaturally strange when Josuke suddenly stiffened up, the fire in his eyes cooling into a steely rage.
"Fine." There was that spark of anger again. The same one from the first time you met him, but this time it had grown.
"Excuse me?!" You assert over the voices. "Josuke, you don't get to make that decision for me-"
"What the hell bro!-"
Despite your angered words and Okuyasu's frustrated confusion, Josuke grabbed a hold on your wrist and started to drag you towards the medical tent. You could feel Jotaro's eyes burn into the back of your head as you walked away.
"Let me go, Josuke!" You struggled against his grip, but he didn't budge. What the hell!? All that fluttery feeling in your chest, all the strange stomach flips, they all twisted into an anger you had never felt before. Who did he think he was!? You had to find Yukako with him and Okuyasu, he couldn't just ditch you like this!
"Josuke! Think about what you are doing bro, this is the exact opposite of everything we were gonna do!" Okuyasu complained behind you. You hoped that he would be Josuke's voice of reason right now, because he SURE AS HELL wasn't listening to you.
He led you through the flaps of the medical tent, and you started to struggle harder, to no avail. The confusion started to make the anger worse when he dragged you out the back and kept walking.
"Josuke? Oi!" Okuyasu's confusion was much less… explosive than yours was. Once Josuke led you to, what you assumed, was the supplies storage, his grip loosened dramatically. It felt good to rip your hand out of his grasp.
"Josuke, what the fuck!?" Josuke's face lifted in surprise, almost slipping out a laugh. Okuyasu was worse off. His laughter behind you just fueled the fire.
"What does it look like? I'm taking you with us." He muttered with a smile, searching through the boxes, and setting his eyes on an empty wooden barrel. He called Okuyasu over to help him open it, and the lid came off with a groan. Your mixed emotions just got a hell-of-a lot more complicated.
"I'm sorry." You said with a sarcastic tone."I'm having trouble figuring out what you mean. You just- and Jotaro-" Josuke finally turned around to look at you again, soft smile still on his face.
"I'm not above lying, I thought you knew that already. We're going to smuggle you out, now get in the barrel." Your jaw fell slack, face twisting in dread. What? There was absolutely no way you were going to be crammed inside of some dusty, old, disgusting-
"Josuke- pfft- I-I think I hear someone coming!" Okuyasu said in-between laughs. He was really still on the cussing thing, huh.
"Ok, times up for debate, we need to leave."
"I- what?! You're not-" He was. He picked you up swiftly, setting you feet first into the barrel despite your protests.
"No! Nono no no! Josuke-" The color had started to drain from your face. You couldn't be put in this- this thing! You already felt like the walls were closing in.
"Shh! Someone's gonna hear if you keep talking, I don't want to leave you here." Josuke took your hand in his once more, gently this time. The anger had disappeared, but panic surfaced instead.
"Josuke, I'm claustrophobic!" You hissed in a panicked whisper. He looked a little surprised, but his gentle face remained.
"You won't be in there for long, I promise. But I won't make you do this if you don't want to." You weighed the options. Stay here, go home, or help find your kidnapped best friend. The inner conflict hurt for a moment, until you decided that there was no decision to make. You had to find her. You stilled for a moment, carefully sitting down in the barrel, you fiddled with the necklace around your throat once more. Josuke gave you an understanding look.
"Keep your head down while we close the lid, ok?"
You closed your eyes. You had to remember who you were doing this for. It would all be over soon. Deep breaths, thats what you had to focus on.
It had to be over soon.

Diamonds and Pearls - Diamond is Unbreakable
I wrote this story for my sister, because she is really into Josuke. She read it and said that nothing much happens. It seems that I have much to learn when it comes to writing romance. Please enjoy.

Stop that."
"Stop what?"
"Doing that thing with your face when you are happy. It's making me nauseous."
The little town of Morioh. If you looked at it on a map, you would think that it was just a normal rural town in Japan. It's only when you step foot inside that you find out about its true nature. A town with secrets and strange occurrences around every corner. Not all of them bad, not all of them good. After a little while, you get a used to it. Morioh is my home, and the home of many other stand users.
One of these stand users is a friend of mine. His name is Higashikata Josuke. His mother and my mother were close friends for years. We knew each other before we were old enough to remember. We went to school together, we spent our summers together, our families celebrated holidays together. Many of the people who see us walking down the street together think we are brother and sister, or boyfriend and girlfriend. I don't know if we are either of those, but Josuke is very important to me. That's all I know.
Things got a little more strange than usual a couple weeks ago. It all started with this Kujo Jotaro wanting to talk to Josuke one day before school. He had some important information from Josuke's long lost father, who is also Jotaro's grandfather. Apparently, Josuke is Jotaro's uncle, even though Jotaro is at least ten years older. He also had warnings of a serial killer loose in Morioh. A very strange message, indeed.
And that is how our adventure began. Along the way, we picked up some new friends. Hirose Koichi can be a little timid and worrisome, but he has a good heart and will always try to do what's right. Nijimura Okuyasu may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but he will stick with you through thick and thin.
Koichi has some strange people that like to follow him around. He has a girlfriend named Yukako. She's crazy, but I can't tell if it is a good crazy or a bad crazy. Still, she seems very devoted to him and wants to see him happy. He also has a famous mangaka friend. You might have heard of Kishibe Rohan. He is the writer and author of one of the most popular mangas in all of Japan, Pink Dark Boy. He's also an asshole. Well, an asshole to everyone but Koichi. He seems to actually enjoy his company and is respectful towards him. Everyone else can go screw themselves, me included.
All this to say, we are a strange bunch. If this whole adventure with the stand bow and arrow hadn't happened, I don't think I would know all these people, and all the other people I have met around Morioh. Seriously, you need to go to Tonio's restaurant. He makes amazing food.
It was a Saturday, and I was heading to Josuke's house. He had bought a new videogame, and was really excited to show me how it played. I'm not very interested in video games, but I did it to make him happy. Just watching him get excited was enough for me. And I like being over at his house, his mom makes some good cookies.
I live a few doors down from him, so I walked over to his house and knocked on the door. A few seconds went by before he opened the door.
"Hey, how's it goin', (Y/N)?" he asked me with a smile. He was wearing his usual attire, hair neat as always.
I laughed a little. "Josuke, you just asked me that over the phone."
His eyes went wide for a moment, before giving a nervous chuckle and rubbing the back of his neck. "I guess I did, didn't I? Sorry about that, my mind has been all over the place."
"It's fine, Josuke. It doesn't hurt anyone. Now, didn't you say you had a new game to show me?" I dramatically held my chin and looked off into the distance.
"Yeah, come on in." He stepped out of the door with a grin on his face. I walked in and followed Josuke into the living room. In front of the tv, his console was hooked up and ready to play. Controllers snaking across the carpet.  A few of his games were scattered around the floor, like he had been looking through them. Josuke sat down and patted the spot next to him.
After I sat down, he held out a controller. I stared at it before looking up at him.
He blinked. "It has a two player mode. Do you want to try it?"
I hesitantly took it from him. "Okay, but I don't think I will be very good. You know I don't really play video games."
He shrugged. "That's fine. I don't care how good you play, I just want to play with you." A slight blush came across his face.
Josuke turned on the console and the logo came up on screen. After a few seconds, it faded away and the start screen popped up. He went through the menu, selecting the game mode he wanted.
It was a spaceship shooter game. You moved your ship up and down the screen and shot at things as they floated in from the right side of the screen. Other ships came in and you had to avoid their laser missile things and stay alive. Josuke did his best to explain the controls, but I kept dying despite trying my hardest. He did most of the work getting through the levels. He was having a lot of fun with it, really getting competitive. He was taking out other ships, trying to get the best score.
It was when we got to the boss level, even he started to die. He concentrated more, getting really invested in the game. The only thing he could see was the collection of pixels on the screen. After a few rounds and a lot of hard work, we were able to finally defeat the boss.
"Yes!" Josuke pumped his fist in the air. "We did it, (Y/N)! We kicked that boss's butt!" He beamed at me.
I smiled back at him. "Yeah. You did great." I don't know how we did it, but I guess beating the first boss is a good thing.
He reached over and turned off the console. "You did pretty good too. Hey, I have an idea. Do you want to get ice cream to celebrate?"
'Uh, yeah." I didn't understand why we were celebrating playing a video game, but I will use any excuse to get ice cream.
Josuke stood up before reaching out a hand to help me off the floor. We walked out the front door and stepped onto the street. We began to find our way to downtown where our favorite ice cream shop is.
"Hey, um, (Y/N)?" He managed to say. "I want to talk to you about... Something important."
"What is it?" I asked looking up at him.
"Well, it's..."
"Hey, Josuke!" A familiar voice called out to us.
Across the street, Okuyasu and Koichi were on a walk of their own. Koichi was smiling at us, while Okuyasu was waving crazily at us. They crossed the street and came over to us.
"Hey guys. Koichi trotted over. "What are you doing today?"
Josuke shrugged. "Nothing much. Just heading to get some ice cream."
Okuyasu's eyes got really wide. "Whaaaaat? Ice cream? I love ice cream! Can we come along?"
"Yeah, that sounds great!" Koichi said with a smile.
Josuke didn't look so happy. "I would love to guys, but I was hoping I could spend the day with (Y/N). It's been a while since it's been the two us"
Okuyasu's smile turned into a sly grin. "Oh, I see. Are you and (Y/N) on a date or something?"
Josuke started to blush. "It's nothing like that. We just haven't spent as much time together as we used to."
Okuyasu nodded. "Uh huh. Whatever you say, Josuke."
Josuke clenched his fists. "What's that supposed to mean, huh?"
I grabbed Josuke's arm. "It's fine, Josuke. They can come with us to get ice cream if they want."
He sighed and relaxed a bit. "Fine, if you say so, (Y/N)."
"YES! WOO HOO!" Okuyasu yelled out.
Koichi looked up at me. "Thanks a lot, (Y/N). I appreciate it."
I smiled and nodded. "It's no problem. I like hanging out with you guys."
Together we set off to the ice cream parlor. Okuyasu was thinking out loud, trying to figure out what kind of ice cream he was going to get, and what kind of toppings he was going to put on it. Koichi was politely adding to the conversion. Josuke was oddly quiet. We seem sad and a little disheartened. I found it odd, because he usually likes going on adventures with these guys. What was so different about today?
We finally made our way to the ice cream parlor. There were many people outside, sitting on the metal furniture. One of those people was Kishibe Rohan. He was busy scribbling away with a notebook and pencil, taking quick glances at the shops across the street.
Koichi waved to him. "Hello Rohan-sensei. It's a nice day today, isn't it?"
He stopped sketching and looked up at us over his notebook. "Yes, I do believe it is." He glared at Josuke. "What are you doing here, Koichi?"
"We're getting ice cream," he replied excitedly. "What about you? What are you doing here Rohan-sensei?
He put his notebook and pencil down with a sigh." I was sketching some of the architecture around Morioh. While I am indeed one of the best artists in Japan, I like to keep my skills sharp. Drawing from life is important for an artist at any skill level."
"Wow, that's impressive." Koichi walked over to see Rohan's work.
"Yeah, real impressive," Josuke said with venom in his voice. "Let's get some ice cream already."
Koichi looked up from the notebook. "Oh, right. Sorry guys."
We walked in together. I ordered something I liked, while Koichi got vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles. Okuyasu ordered a little bit of everything at the bar, and put every kind of topping on his ice cream. Josuke ordered, strangely, a chocolate malt milkshake. I don't think I have ever seen him order a malt. He likes banana splits. Was he really having an off day?
When we walked out to the patio, there was only one table available that would fit all four of us. It was next to Rohan, of course. Josuke sighed as we sat down.
"Please try to keep quiet," Rohan said without looking up from his drawing. "I'm working."
Okuyasu huffed. "We are not the only ones here, you know."
"I know," he said unfazed. "I told the other patrons the same thing. They are much more accommodating than you lot are."
Okuyasu growled and began to stand up. I glared at him. "Sit down and eat your ice cream. It will cool you down."
He reluctantly did what I said. "Ugh, he just gets on my nerves sometimes!"
"Believe me, I know." Josuke took a straw out of the dispenser in the middle of the table. He took the wrapper off and plunged into his malt.
Koichi took a bite of sprinkles and fudge. "C'mon, guys. He's not that bad."
"To you, maybe," I said with my mouth full. "But everyone else is a lower life form compared to his majesty and grace."
Rohan tilted his head over towards me. "I would appreciate it if you didn't talk about me if I wasn't here."
I glared right back at him. "Don't pretend you don't do the same thing to us all the time."
He sneered at me, but turned back to his work without another word.
I smirked. I got him that time.
Josuke gave me a small smile before taking a sip from his straw. I looked between him and his malt. "Josuke," I quietly asked, "I thought you liked banana splits. Why did you get a milkshake?"
He glanced up at me. "That's true, I do like those." He looked thoughtful. "But I do like a chocolate malt sometimes. But it's not just a normal milkshake. The malt makes the whole thing better."
"Huh," I thought out loud. "Can I try some?"
He blinked at me with wide eyes. "Yeah, sure." He grabbed another straw and put in the milkshake. He slid it over to me.
I caught it and I grabbed hold of my straw. I took a drink. The malt added a little something to the chocolate ice cream and milk blend. "Hm, not bad." I slid it back to him. "I see what you mean."
Josuke grabbed hold of the glass. "Right? I mean, I don't like to have it all the time. But it's good every so often."
Okuyasu looked at us with a sneaky glare. "So, are you guys going to drink at the same time all romantic and stuff?"
Josuke locked on to Okuyasu. "Would you just butt out, Okuyasu? You're not helping!"
He just shrugged. "I was just asking."
"Helping with what?" Koichi asked innocently.
Josuke whipped around. "It's... Just... It's nothing, Koichi. Don't worry about it."
I cocked an eyebrow at him. "If you really want to, Josuke, I don't mind."
He looked at me and blushed a little. He seemed to be doing that a lot. "Don't feel like you have to, (Y/N)! It wasn't even my idea." He waved his hands in front of his face like he was trying to dismiss it.
I leaned over the table and took hold of the glass. I moved it to the center of the table. "I will if you do." I put my straw in my mouth, inviting him to do the same.
Okuyasu gave Josuke a little nudge with his elbow. After he gave him a nasky look, Josuke leaned over the table with me and grabbed hold of his straw. I giggle a little bit. This was so ridiculous, like this was in some cheesy romcom.
We both began to drink the milkshake. His face was so close to mine, I could look directly into his eyes. Our eyes met, and I started to giggle again. Josuke blushed some more. The glass was quickly emptying.
I pulled away and started laughing. Josuke also dropped his straw and sat in his seat again, a smile on his face.
"Yeah! Go Josuke!" Okuyasu announced and pulled him in for a side hug. Koichi gave a slow applause.
"Sorry Josuke," I said, feeling how warm my face was. "It just seemed so silly, I just couldn't stop myself. It was fun, though." A large smile was plastered on my face.
Josuke also broke out in a huge grin. "Yeah, kinda was." He gave out a chuckle and rubbed the back of his neck.
"Stop that." Rohan ordered from the other table, his eyes boring into Josuke.
Josuke leaned over so he could get a better look at him. "Stop what?"
Rohan narrowed his eyes and looked condescendingly at him "Doing that thing with your face when you are happy. It's making me nauseous."
Josuke pushed the chair out from under him. "That's it. I'm tired of this. CRAZY DIAMOND!"
"Heaven's Door!"
Both Josuke and Rohan were ready to attack, poised to beat the crap out of each other.
"Both of you, stop!" I ran out in between them, arms raised out to block them. Koichi quickly ran to my side, calling upon Echoes. "Now is not the time or the place to be doing this!" I yelled, looking back and forth between them. "Now settle down. You're already causing a scene."
Josuke looked around him, huffed, and then dismissed Crazy Diamond. "Alight, (Y/N), I'll do this for you." He turned and pointed at Rohan. "But next time, I'll beat the ever-loving shit out of you, Rohan"
Rohan smirked and grabbed his supplies. "You can certainly try, Josuke. I look forward to our next meeting." He walked away, leaving us to watch his stupid, sassy strides.
"Son of a bitch," Josuke muttered under his breath, his fist clenched so tightly his knuckles were turning white.
"Don't let him get to you, Josuke," I gave him a sympathetic look. "He's just trying to get you worked up."
He looked down at his feet. "Yeah, you're probably right." He looked back up at me and gave me a half-hearted smile. "Thanks."
I returned the smile. "Let's finish up our ice cream, okay?"
It was later in the afternoon. After a fun time with Okuyasu and Koichi, both went to their respective homes. They had responsibilities they had to attend to. It was just me and Josuke walking home together. It was bringing back old memories of all the time we had walked home together after school. We walked silently, letting the sounds of Morioh fill the space between us.
"Hey, um," Josuke said quietly. "I'm sorry about what happened today. I didn't mean for any of that Rohan stuff to happen." He paused for a moment and rubbed his neck. "I hope I didn't ruin it for you."
I shook my head. "No, not really. Rohan was the one causing trouble, not you. And nothing was ruined for me." I smiled at him "It's just another day in this crazy, noisy, bizarre town of ours."
He watched my face, looking for some sort of hidden emotion or answer. When he couldn't, he smiled back. "Well, I'm happy about that, at least."
We walked for a little bit longer, letting the silence get comfortable around us. A thought crept into my head as we traveled down the sidewalk.
"Josuke?"
"Yeah?"
"Didn't you say you had something important to ask me?"
"Um," He almost stopped walking. He was avoiding my gaze "Yeah, but it's not that important. Don't worry about it"
"If it wasn't important, you wouldn't need to ask me. Besides, you said yourself that it was important." I tried to get a good look at him. "What is it Josuke? You can ask me anything."
He stopped walking. "Well, I..." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes again, and looked me dead in the eyes. He was going to get it out even if it killed him, I could tell.
"(Y/N), I like you a lot. I like like you a lot." He paused. "I've wanted to ask this for a long time. Would you be my girlfriend? Don't feel like you have to say yes, or anything, just because we're friends. But if you really want to..."
I took his hand in mine. "Yes, Josuke. I will be your girlfriend." I giggled a little, my cheeks getting warm. "I like like you too. And not just because we're friends."
He stood there stunned for a few moments. Then a huge smile spread across his face. "Really?"
I nodded, feeling really giddy inside.
He leaned in and scooped me into a hug. He lifted me off the ground, my feet dangling under me. I let myself melt into him, enjoying the love and warmth.  We had given each other hugs before in the past, but this one was different. This one was special. I think we both could feel it.
When we finally pulled away, all we could do was look at each other and laugh to ourselves. "You know," Josuke mumbles a bit, "I kind of had this whole day planned out and everything." He chuckles a bit. " Guess I didn't need to go through all that, did I?"
I give him a smile. "No. I would have said yes, no matter how you asked me. Besides, you can't plan for anything in Morioh. At least one thing will throw off. your entire day."
"Yeah, I guess so."
I reached out and took his hand. He slid his fingers in between mine, and gave my hand a small squeeze. We walked the rest of the way like this, both blushing a bit. It felt a little like a dream, like this was never supposed to happen. But it did, and I couldn't be happier.
We walked until we were standing in front of his house. His was the first stop, while mine was a few more houses down. Josuke sighed and looked down at me. "Well, this is it."
"Yeah," I sighed back. I didn't want this to end. Like if I let go of Josuke's hand, the spell would break, and everything would be undone. The dream would end, and everything would go back to the way it was.
Josuke looked at me for a moment, looking unsure of himself. He took a deep breath and gathered his courage.  He leaned in, and slowly kissed my cheek. When he pulled away, I could feel my face flare up and turn red. I looked at Josuke. His face was just as red as mine felt.
"Well," I managed to stutter out. "I'll see you later, Josuke."
"Yeah, you too (Y/N)."
Then we both turned away. All things considered, it was a pretty awesome day. And I couldn't wait to spend another one with my boyfriend, Higashikata Josuke.
