How Is It to Live With A Filipino MC? Brothers Version

Just a random idea that was delivered by my train of thought while cooking :)

The things written here are based on the habits of my family and friends, and some of the things I've experienced personally.

Summary: The demon brothers got interviewed one day and the question: "How is it like to live with a Filipino MC?" How will they answer?

"Aside from the fact that they tend to get into trouble now and then, it's fine living with them. They've got a good head, are diligent, and they're also easy to talk to, unlike other demons that I know. Although there is one thing about them that I'm slightly worried about. They keep drinking coffee twice every day. Sometimes, even thrice. And if they're in the mood, they even add it to their rice."

Like you have room to talk, you coffee addict!

It's not like he wants them to stop drinking coffee but he's told that it is unhealthy for humans to drink coffee too much.

Don't you get heart palpitations from that much caffeine? Is your sleep cycle even okay? Dude, check your own sleep cycle before checking others.

But they said that they always drink coffee even before coming to the Devildom, and that there's no need for him to worry because it's still safe for humans to drink two cups of coffee per day.

...he can't stop worrying.

*My parents (esp. Dad) constantly drink coffee twice a day. My dad also adds it to his rice whenever there's no more 'ulam' left.

Mammon

"They're fun to live with. They're always game to join me on any gimmick I come up with. Though they do hit me with a slipper whenever we get into trouble, which means they hit me very often. And they're really good at bargaining. That's why I always bring them when shopping."

Although they can't do bargaining at some establishments like Majolish, they've been a great help whenever Mammon shops at a flea market.

He didn't even know he can get discounts at the flea market!

They also have a great sense of fashion so even though their bargaining skills can't be used at Majolish, he still brings them with him.

Though he does wish they'd stop hitting him with their slipper. It hurts, you know!

*A lot of adults in our family have great bargaining skills. And the slipper strike punishment really hurts. (I'm still afraid of it 😆)

Leviathan

"We really don't have much in common. But I do admire their crafting skills. They made me a Sucre Frenzy-themed table lamp for my birthday. It's so well made that I thought it was official merch. I still have it in my room. Do you wanna see it?"

Levi was... not happy the first time the two of them met.

He can totally feel the extroverted aura around them. The total opposite of him.

So he tried to steer clear of them.

But as time goes on, he got close to them, even though the two of them were the complete opposite of each other.

He was so happy when he got the table lamp. He respects their crafting skills.

He also discovered that they love karaoke, so he invited them one time, much to the other brothers' chagrin.

The two of them reserved so many songs in the karaoke machine that it crashed.

They got punished by Lucifer as a result.

*My dad has a great crafting skills. He made a lamp out of coconut shells and driftwood before. And the karaoke machine incident actually happened when I was in 7th grade and I was partially to blame 😅

Satan

"They're a great housemate and I also enjoy their company. I heard that they love reading books so I asked for some recommendations. I've got to admit, their taste isn't bad."

After hearing that they were a bookworm like him, he tried to ask them for book recommendations.

They gave him a lot of titles, most of the novels from Wattpad.

He ended up loving the novels.

His favorites are: 'Project Loki', 'I Love You Since 1892', and 'A Taste of Sky'

He's still reading 'Moriartea' at the moment.

*Don't mind me, I'm just shamelessly putting some Wattpad recommendations. My sister has been a Wattpaddian since 7th grade. I also use Wattpad, but I'm more of a graphic novel kind of person.

The kissing incident happened when Asmo was looking for his pen.

He asked MC if they'd seen it.

They used their lips to point where it was, but Asmo got the wrong idea.

He thought that they were asking for a kiss so he tried kissing them.

Only to get hit by the arm.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

"Eh? Aren't you asking for a kiss? You were puckering your lips."

"No! I was pointing at the pen!"

"They're a nice person. They don't chastise me for eating too much, even though it inconveniences them sometimes. Oh, and I met their family once. They're also pretty nice. But I wish they'd stop using ice cream tubs as a compartment for their sewing kit and stuff :<"

They visited MC in the human realm for vacation.

And Beel was craving some ice cream that day.

And he was sure that he saw a tub in the fridge earlier.

So he hurriedly went to the kitchen and took the ice cream container out.

Imagine his disappointment to see that the tub didn't contain ice cream but raw squid instead.

Overtime she stopped zoning out, functioning on full autopilot instead.

Cut off her sisters due to not knowing how she'd look them in the eye and have them catch her not feeling anything for them anymore.

She may no longer be able to feel, but she still doesn't want to hurt her sisters.

Ends up obsessed with taking down Miranda because she sees it as a way to make up to her family for cutting them off.

Curse Lifted:

The first thing she does on her own is to sit underneath a tree's shade to just feel the gentle breeze.

She cries silently, not knowing how it was possible to miss such a common experience in human life.

She goes for a jog on a day when it's sunny and she's free. Pushing herself to her limits until her vision swims due to exertion.

She lies down on the grass for a moment and laughs, carefree as the sun shines down on her. Letting the heat draw out more sweat from her and simply just basking in how she's able to feel it now.

Bela stands under light rains, never once passing up the chance to feel the small pitter patters of water on her skin. She smiles with glee every single time.

MC Romance:

While cursed, she definitely gives off "Rhodessa - Kisame" vibes.

Bela started to theorise that she was falling for MC when she brought them chicken soup.

It didn't slip her notice that MC tried to steer the conversation towards her mundane life.

Not her accomplishments, not her riches, not her connections- Just her and what's in her mind.

Looks like she takes the lead in their relationship, but actually discreetly let's MC make the decisions.

Bela is a sucker for MC's chicken tinola.

MC taught her a bit about Filipino pop culture.

She may not have perfected the language yet, but she definitely nailed the:

"Science tells us that our genetic imprint predetermines your life, your fate, your choices. Pinanganak kang bobo, lalaki kang bobo, mamamatay kang bobo." (Translation is in the author's notes below.)

Bela also adopted the habit of saying "Bwisit" whenever she gets mildly frustrated;

And "Putangina" whenever she gets very frustrated.

She loves how those words just sound satisfyingly crunchy.

Likes "Cup of Joe"

Learned Tagalog to understand what the lyrics say.

Once the loop is broken and she remembers all of the things her and MC had done across all past loops, she coins "Cup of Joe - Ikaw Pa Rin" as her favorite song.

MC is thankful that Bela doesn't remember the times in the loops when she turned into a Zombie. They have sworn to take those memories to the grave, unwilling to subject to Bela to it.

Whenever Bela gets flustered by MC doing little romantic things for her, she'd try to downplay her swooning by raising an eyebrow and telling MC "Bading, bading- Bakla, bakla!"

Bela is able to sing Tagalog songs she loves without an English accent but whenever she speaks Tagalog normally, the English accent always bleeds in.

MC always smiles, finding it absolutely adorable.

MC taught Bela how to eat a chicken wing by removing the lower joint so that it's easier to take the meat off.

On her first attempt, she somehow choked on one of the wing bones.

Bela has forbidden MC from letting literally anyone other than the two of them know.

Daniela knows this though, and she's waiting for the right time to use the story as blackmail.

(Y'all CANNOT convince me na hindi chismosa si MC sa mga tamang tao.)

Once saw someone flirt with MC on Christmas season.

Went right up to MC, placed her arm around their shoulder and told them in the sweetest tone she could muster that if the person doesn't back off, she'll ensure that "Sasama siya sa kwitis papuntang langit."

MC and Barbatos shopping together and walking out with twice the items but half the price because MC just bargained the shit out of every vendor there.

A/N: This is probably a dumb post because 1. It's 12 in the morning and 2. I couldn't sleep due my constant daydreaming so have this Filipino!MC imagine.

As a Filipino, MC and their family loves eating food that came from the time of their ancestors (usually in Lilith's era). So, their family have this recipe book that was passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years, filled with lots of intstrictions on how to cook such delicious cuisine ranging from warm and cozy to cold and refreshing.

Yema cakes, Valencianas, Ube Ice Cream, Ginataang Gulay, you name it and it's found within the beautiful binder book that was created and published by none other than Liliana/Lilith herself. After her death, this book was very well taken care of by your ancestors and used the book only if there's a special occasion such as birthdays, weddings or festivals. Your family went all the way and spend countless of money in order for the book to look brand new but antique at the same time.

During your stay in the Devildom, your love language was indeed cooking and loves cooking for the others. It doesn't matter if it's your cooking duty or not. You would whip out the pdf copy of the recipe book and make the food they aren't familiar of. The brothers are quite hesitant to taste this weird dish you've cooked for them but their worries quickly subsided when the taste was IMMACULATE and they're really excited whenever they see you cooking something for dinner.

They're curious on what the recipe book from your tablet contains and who was the author of the book itself but you didn't bring it up that it was your very own great grand-nana Liliana who made the book, for you didn't want all those horrible memories of their fall coming back to haunt them.

Now, imagine you invited the brothers and the others to have a visit on the (l/n) ancestral house where the memories of your ancestors lived on and to be remembered. How it survived during the world war and remembering their story on how they didn't want to surrender this wooden manor to their enemies and thus, resulting to their deaths. How there were some sweet ones and how this manor had blossomed into your family's most treasured jewel and artifact.

After they took a walk around the manor, they finally get to taste the food you've prepared with the help of your siblings and when the brothers found out that the author of the recipe book was none other than their long lost dead sister, they became silent but was surprised when they knew that Liliana/Lilith not only build this small manor but also knows how to cook.

It was a bittersweet moment but nonetheless remembered your ancestor through every bite of those delicious and appetizing food. Some items are spicy and quite salty but has this right savory flavor they needed. The brothers even loved you more, not because of your ancestor but was thankful that you showed them your human ancestry to get you know better.

What was supposed to be a working trip had turned into the most memorable trip that made you and your demon lover/s become closer than before.
