Education was always your top priority in your life. It was something to get you away from home. Staying clear of the messy household burying yourself in studies. Your mother was always at work and your dad didn't care if anything he encourged your behavior. Until one day you came home early from your studies to see two of your dad's fighting. You at first thought you were just exteremly tired from not sleeping for three days and went to bed.

In the morning you expect your alarm to wake you. Instead you were woken up by your father who would never enter your room. You had not only slept half the day away but he allowed it!

Miguel shook you awake handing you your favorite breakfast with a smile. This scared you since you never slept past your alarms in forever. "Sorry I turned off your alarms I wanted us to have a day together" Miguel spoke silently with care as you blinked awake. "You what?" You asked him if he was serious or not. "I planned an entire day together!" Miguel happlily brought out the list of things.

This list was filled with things to do including plain tickets. Plain tickets? You re read the last thing on the list maybe 35 times. 'Go on a forever trip back to my world'

You quickly got out of bed or how miguel saw it fell out of bed. "What is wrong sweetie?" "You're not my dad!" You yelped going under your bed. Miguel bent down looking under the bed "Sweetie but i am! come back to papa"

Miguel took three hours dragging you from under the bed. By the time you had been forced out of your room and taken to go shopping it was noon. Miguel was all smiles even though he did have to buy a teen sized backpack leash because you tried running back to school. When it go dark Miguel claimed he had a suprise before taking you away.

Even though this man wasn't your actual dad you hoped he was. The day being calm bringing you near a lake sitting you down on the pier. Miguel walked off saying he was getting the suprise ready. He entered the cabin behind the lake glaring at your dead father grabbing the fireworks. "I told you I was better" Miguel spat at him before leaving the cabin and seeting off the fireworks.

From your view it was beautiful the sight of exploding chemicals creating a lovely sight. Miguel knowing the foul things he had done for those moment just sighed and joined you on the pier. "I did this all for you" Miguel said wrapping his arm around your shoulder bringing you close. "And if you run I'll track you down and bring you back to your papa" Hearing this made you freeze. Could this guy really do that?

It didn't really matter the night was young and the first stars were showing in the dark sky. It was a small amount of peace that you hadn't felt in a very long time.

Miguel smiled at seeing you so peaceful. The dark circles under your eyes may have been a sign of he was needed. The sparks in your eyes from the fireworks brought happiness to him. And if anyone got I'm his way even himself he would take care of it.

Happy new years everyone!

Tbh despite me being really unprepared for the new year I'm happy with hour this one went. Alot of new stuff, new friends, new fandoms, new art, new skills. I'm glad y'all like my art and I hope to improve and provide more as time goes on. This year was stressful but I'm happy with it and I hope for good things for the future for everyone!
