All of The Eleven’s re-imaginings are now done! I really had a blast making these, I don’t do it much but I love monster/dragon designs. In order, Windsinger, Earthshaker, Flamecaller, Tidelord, Icewarden, Stormcatcher, Lightweaver, Shadowbinder, Plaguebringer, Gladekeeper, and The Arcanist.

The start of my FR tarot deck project! Going to be making each deity as one of the major arcana, then possibly using some Beastclan leaders or the Shade for the rest! The suits will be changed as well to match FR, and I’ll possibly be using ppl’s dragons for those minor arcana cards. We shall see >:]

Arcanist: can you tell me everything about this "perioud" cramp u have? i'm gonna make up a new spell to help!!!

Earthshaker: it's natural, after all, but lie down. *makes tiny quakes when you do* does a massage help?

Flamecaller: oh? ye' having cramps? *plops magma block* there ya' go me luv ^^ *pats shoulder*

Gladekeeper: if warm things are of help, try Flamecaller instead..but would you like some tea? herbal?

Icewarden: *pats* do you want to lie down on my legs? people say theyre fluffy and comfortable to rest on. you'll be safe with me watching around.

Lightweaver: ah...some scented candles would help, perhaps? Maybe some lavender will assist your relaxation. I'll do your work for today!

Plaguebringer: heh? you got cramps? bear through it, it'll make you stronger than ever.

Shadowbinder: here, have this goop *hands weird slime, oddly smells nice* for the pain my child, i made it with healing mushrooms in my domain.

Tidelord: not back from buying period supplies

Stormcatcher: if I made a storm with rain, maybe taking a nap would be nice like that, don't you think? They don't know how to help let them have this

Windsinger: *incenses the pain away* i don't know what im doing but i do indeed help <3

flight rising lore is cool because like. there's this one breed of dragon whose corpses cannot be Anywhere near each other otherwise they will fuse together and create undead shambling amalgamations that know only violence and destruction.

also there's an old man who accidentally did mad science and turned himself into a completely new type of dragon

I was possessed by the need to draw all Flight Rising deities today, but why stop there when i could also give them a small rework to fit my own concepts? So, meet the gladekeeper! Kinda inspired by foo dogs, jade temples, and those legends of the turtles so big that they became whole continents! (Still a wip sketch btw!!! Im gonna post the finished version later)

Some points im gonna keep in mind for the finished version:

Birds to give a sense of scale of how much of a behemoth i want her to be

Carved/painted wood details as if dragons that adore her carved beautiful inscriptions on her body over the years, sort of how lovers do that thing on trees

Flower bush beard

Maybe a little pond with lilypads somewhere but not sure where i would fit it

Maybe an autumn version aswell

elaborating on my previous Auraboa doodle, with more thoughts about what my Ideal feathered snake dragon would look like

python face, with no eyelids. why are they called auraBOAs if they're modeled after venomous snakes (i am aware pythons aren't boas either don't @ me. but it's closer than what they have now)

body is entirely feathered, save for the belly scales. in the original drawing, they had a head crest of long feathers that was supposed to get shorter down the neck, and blend into the feathery back mane. in this one i shortened it greatly and made it more of a cockatoo crest thing. a longer crest could still be fun though

the wings and tail feathers have a rounded, elliptical shape to them. elliptical wings give great maneuverability, and would be ideal for a jungle-dwelling dragon

the original doodle had paws and coatl feather ear things, but i'm getting rid of both of those. i like the sleeker snake look that Not having them adds to. also someone in the notes opened my eyes to the hand possibilities, and if this redesign DID have limbs, they would have parrot feet

also sidenote about their name: is it just me or is Auraboa kinda. clunky to say? my brain keeps autocorrecting it to Aurabora, which rolls off the tongue so much nicer. maybe even Auraboras, to make the ouroboros reference clearer

FR headcanons that I have but aren't supported by any on-site text

Food is measured as "One unit = 100 lbs"

Only User dragons tend to have any genes. "Canonical" dragons have Basics or EXTREMELY common genes that are feesibly "realistic" to see on animals, like stripes, spotting, etc

Dragons tend not to use weapons to fight and they're more showpieces if they have swords or spears. If a dragon is fighting, its ALL teeth and claws and magic. Duels are weapons-based though

SOME dragons out there use Fae Nests in the same way people use cliff swallow nests to make soup

Dragons eating other dragons isn't too unheard of, and ritualistic cannibalism is popular with Nature, Plague, Light, and Ice Clans

Users are dragons of some sort, but we don't know what kind. We've had a few NPCs refer to us as dragons in their text (Higgins, Dustcarve Dig, etc). Personally I believe it's the same breed that used to be on the "T for Teen" rating at the bottom of the site bar

The oceans of Sornieth aren't strictly salt water per-ce, but are highly mineralized depending on where you are, and some lower sections of the sea are salty, or even briny sub-oceans when you go deep enough

Light Flight's territory just REEKS right now. Not in the same, stale, mineral-laced way that the Scarred Wasteland does (The exposed flesh and dead biomaterial there is dried and doesn't produce much of a scent unless you're close to a pustule or wound, so it's more like dry rot), but Luminax is wet rot. Juicy. Leaking. Has a cloyingly sweet smell that sours as it hits your throat.

Luminax WILL eventually die, but not by means of the Light Flight's efforts. Rather, the sun in the Light Flight territory will get stronger and stronger, heating up Luminax's body, the gas builds up, insides twisted shut from all the movement of what is otherwise a decaying body... Pop.

Every species of dragon has a spot that you scratch and it "Starts their motor". Banescales, its under their horn where their ear would be. Gaolers, its their tummies. Coatls, under their chin. Wildclaws, behind their horns on either side of their crest.

Deities have scratching spots as well. But they're a well-kept secret (Stormcatcher's is right behind his ears. Rubbing there will release tension from a headache he's had because he's been clenching his jaw all day and cause him to just uncoil from all the relieved tension. Beware of static)
