One fine Sunday morning, SMA landscape intern Jade and SMA architect Jeenus headed out to Shanta Bhawan park to present the findings and recommendations of the ecological survey.
Based on three visits and subsequent research, SB community members Abhinash and Mr. Krishna got lots of botanical info about the trees, ferns and plants which will be shared with the 90 community members and their kids around the petite park in Sanepa.
Next was our own internal ICIMOD hq & Godavari visit . Jade’s interpretation of a variety of natural elements was a nice climax for us of the months she had joined us. We grew more interested in flora. Our second collaboration with a French landscape architect ( Marie was the first) turned out to be fruitful again for both parties!

I'm reading about how Israel, in the immediate aftermath of the 1948 Nakba, deliberately replaced olive trees and other indigenous flora with European plants. This ecological disaster, which is now proudly hailed under the banner of 'making the desert bloom,' was done to 'de-Arabize' the landscape, and to cover up - often with fast-growing European pine trees -the ruins of Palestinian villages that were destroyed by Zionists forces.
And I just need everyone to read this passage from Pappé, because the symbolism of what happened to those European pine trees in the desert speaks for itself:

Szulitya, Wolf of the Court
Illustration of a character from The Wildercourt, the graphic novel I’m (slowly) working on. Szulitya is a tertiary character, but she’s a lot of fun to write and draw.

I love that gum trees were carted over to California due to their ability to thrive in harsh environments, only for fire season to hit and the Americans realise that the trees were the harsh environment.
Baby girls, fire literally be the gum trees kink;

guys I’m doing it!!!
ok *deep breathe* if this post gets 7,300 notes I will tell my parents I’ve been writing this story (my sci fi story) and ask if I can get it published by next Christmas also if this does end up getting that insane number of notes I may have to take my word back on the “finish and publish on wattpad or ao3 all four of my wips by next new years” because the sci fi one is obviously going to need a lot more attention but I will finish the drafts for my other 3 wips by next Christmas as well (the summer rom com, the Christmas rom com and the sapphic vampire heist one)
Update: it’s already at 1,000 and I’m dying
Update: shit shit shit how is it at 4,000???
Update: 6,000 notes??? Why guys why 😭😭😭😭😭
Update: 7,300 notes… well shit
Update: thank you all <33333333
Update: guys you can rest now no need to keep reblogging and commenting so much it’s hit the goal
