AITA for telling an old man to kill himself on his birthday?
btw this has transphobia homophobia racism in it so yeah be aware
i (cisM22) have a trans girlfriend (F23). we live in a relatively liberal area and, not to say that she isn't beautiful, but she doesn't pass all the way. but she has long hair and she was wearing a dress that day, so she looked very feminine.
we were on a date at a relatively fancy restaurant. we had reservations and everything. we sit down at our table and next to us as these six white old people having a fucking ball. they were loud as shit and obviously drunk but my gf and i just ignored it for a while because we wanted to have a good time.
one of them had a birthday cake set down in from of him and their drinks were topped off. and then, loud as shit, these wrinkly fucking ballsacks start spewing conservative hate. something about the florida anti-trans bills and how they should just round them together and shoot them. my girlfriend looked visibly uncomfortable so i called for a waiter and asked if we could get a table far away from them.
i guess they heard me and one of the old women looked at my girlfriend and murmured, "i guess he just couldn't handle the truth." and i felt nothing but rage, so i said, "what truth? that her tits are better than yours?" and from there it just went downhill.
i honestly can't remember much of the argument. it only lasted thirty seconds but in those thirty seconds, my girlfriend and one of the waiters were trying to calm us down. i had six crusty ass white people dogging on me, calling my girlfriend slurs, calling me slurs (i'm mexican), and i was saying shit about their dementia-ridden asses are gonna die alone in a nursing home cause they kids probably don't even talk to them cause "where the fuck they at gramps".
eventually the birthday bitch called me a faggot and i was like "this faggot is telling you to fucking kill yourself sir, shove that walking stick up your ass" and by that point they got security to escort me and my girlfriend out.
my girlfriend was in tears and really overwhelmed after that. she didn't say anything the whole ride home until we got there. she said that while she appreciated me defending her, i just caused an unnecessary scene, and telling that man to kill himself was too far. i apologized to her, even though the only thing i really feel bad about is making her cry, and i promised i wouldn't do it again.
i don't regret anything i did honestly. i just feel bad about ruining our date and making her cry. i don't think we should've been the ones to get kicked out of that restaurant either. i don't know if those old fucks got the boot, but i'm praying they break a hip or something.
aita?
What are these acronyms?

hcs because I need to keep busy
Cal's a whiner. Not sexually like, when he's annoyed or smth doesn't go his way, he whines in this specific type of voice and does that even sometimes to himself, just to get it out.
Texas's a pouter. Most states pick up on him going to pout before he fully does it. California fully laughs out loud at it, he thinks it's one of the funniest things ever.
South Carolina is so much like Florida sometimes in the terms of fighting people with words that people tried to use it as an insult against him, thinking he'd stop. He ended up making a few of them cry.
Louisiana always starts a "what's the best ice cream flavor?" debate over and over again because his taste changes practically daily - he's never been picky with food.
Alaska doesn't hate heat, but he hates sweat, which comes with mentioned heat.
Gov absolutely loves to sometimes hide away and use his power to make sure he's unrecognizable, just to fuck off and swim in the sea, because states have that sixth sense when it comes to ending up near him on his free days.
PA talks a big game about how he hates swimming, and he can handle heat without a pool or anything alike, but the truth be told, he actually sometimes feels that the sea is just staring back at him, so any water is bad.
It's B, every time. He watches the man every time he visits California's beaches, and it's mostly because he looks so close to San Francisco that it bothers him.
San Francisco can't see it, but he thinks it's better than being called New York.

I timelined Grant's solo series, and it gets even worse if you realize how short a timeframe everything takes place within.
Damage #1-6 and #0 take place over about three days, probably not too far into the school year (September?). In this timeframe, Grant
starts at a new school,
discovers he has extremely destructive powers that he can't control,
accidentally explodes and destroys his school,
returns home to find his parents gone and almost gets kidnapped,
tries to rescue his parents only for them to betray him,
witnesses his parents' murder,
causes another explosion,
goes on the run,
gets in multiple fights,
finds out that the couple who raised him weren't really his parents,
gets sucked into the Zero Hour event in which he must create an explosion to restart the universe,
and finally gets so overwhelmed by mounting frustrations and emotions that he accidentally blows up downtown Atlanta and has to turn himself in to the authorities.
Within the last 48 hours of all this time, he is running on no sleep and almost no food. He's under tremendous stress, is having to handle everything pretty much on his own, and actually it's a wonder he holds up for as long as he does.
Damage #7, which deals with his trial for the destruction of Atlanta, confirms that it is indeed autumn and takes place after Grant has spent several weeks being scrutinized in a lab. Probably three weeks at most--any more and it would have been described as a month.
But it's probably only two weeks, since New Titans #0, in which Grant begins his first stint with the Titans, confirms that it's been about two weeks after Zero Hour. His subsequent adventures with them cover just a few days, but by the time he leaves to look for answers about his parentage in New Titans #119, it's January. Grant claims in Damage #8 that he discovered his powers only a few weeks ago, but even if ignoring the New Titans timeline, it doesn't quite fit into what's already been established in his solo. Therefore, assuming that he joins the Titans in October at the earliest, he is with them for about three months. Perhaps closer to two.
Grant's search for answers in Damage #8-12 lasts about a week, during which time he gets into a lot of fights, reunites with his uncle the supervillain and inadvertently frees him from prison, fails to save the life of a girl he has feelings for, and learns the identity of his real parents. A lot to process.
Two days later, in Damage #13, he gets into a fight with his teammates and destroys a friendship, attends Mandra's funeral, and starts to address his grief. Three days later in #14-15 he teams up with Ray to try to catch his uncle (unsuccessfully), tries to connect with the Justice League League Task Force, gets abducted by Vandal Savage, learns the truth about his having DNA from most of the original JLA and JSA, visits his biological parents' graves, and meets several of his genetic "fathers." At some point around this time, he turns seventeen, and the birthday goes unnoticed. He claims to Ray that they met "a couple months back" at Zero Hour, when it's been a bit longer than that, but that's easy to chalk up as his being imprecise.
By Damage #16, he's in space with the Titans for an unspecified but probably fairly brief amount of time, and within the next few days after that, he discovers that he can use his powers to fly, almost kills Rose Wilson by accident, has an unfortunately very televised public outburst in Damage #17, quits the Titans for good on very poor terms in New Titans #127, and proceeds to run away to Florida.
His time in Florida in Damage #18-20 lasts for about a day, which involves multiple intense fights, another catastrophic explosion, getting possessed by a telepathic virus, mentally willing himself to fight it off, and teaching himself how to expend an extreme amount of energy without causing any harm. Then a few days later, the series ends as he meets up with his real father's godson.
So the entire series takes place over the span of four or five months at the most, September or October through January or early February. Within just several months Grant goes from being the apparently ordinary (albeit friendless) child of apparently ordinary parents to having potentially lethal powers and no parents or guidance while on the run from the law for breaking the terms of his sentence--at age seventeen. He has almost no time to process all the horrific events that life keeps throwing at him--he even comments on this at one point!--and no choice but to keep going on.
He's on the run for an unspecified amount of time afterward, and when he joins the Titans again, it's once more only for a fairly short time. Titans 1999 #12 situates the narrative about four months after the group re-forms, and Grant leaves the team less than two weeks later in #19. No relatively stable situation lasts long for him, no relationships get longer than several months to cultivate until he has to move on. It's not unlike the constant moving his "family" did his entire life. No matter what happens, no matter what team he joins or friends he makes, Grant can never seem to find the lasting stability that he needs to thrive, and that's part of what makes his story so ultimately tragic. He neither asks for nor deserves any of this.

Hello! I recently came across your blog and love your take on things, mainly because they’re very level headed and thought out!
I was wondering, based on what we know, what do you think is going to happen with all of this? And if this has already been answered, you can just ignore this lol :)
Thank you! Trying my best to get a handle on things and help others do the same.
As for what I think is going to happen, there was an interesting discussion I had with @godzibane that I think covers a lot of what we could reasonably expect.
To summarize that post though, I think that the odds of Dream facing criminal charges are next to zero. Regardless of whether he's done anything Amanda said he did or not. Everything I've read says that Snapchat won't be able to retrieve any actual image/video files from Jan/feb at this point, and without those a charge/case is going to be next to impossible. So even if she was telling the truth, it would really only her word against Dream's, and that's not enough for a court case. Particularly not when her own credibility as a witness could be demolished by her behavior on twitter.
Now, if the allegations are false, Dream has one of the most straightforward defamation cases that I have ever seen. Like, to the point of comical. If she can't prove her case, she's defamed him. The more evidence Dream can provide that she's lying (snapchat metadata may serve him well here, depending on if they talked on there/what they discussed, he may be able to factually disprove her claims), the stronger his case gets. If Bee is telling the truth and is willing to help/testify under oath, then I'm really not sure how a good set of lawyers could fuck this case up. Like, this would be straight up two per se charges. He wouldn't even need to prove damages AFAIK.
Slander per se is defined as words that are slanderous in themselves without proof of actual damages. For example, if an utterance charges (a) the commission of a crime, (b) imputes some offensive or loathsome disease that would tend to deprive a person of society, (c) matters incompatible with business, trade, profession, or office, or (d) charges serious sexual misconduct. Restatement (Second) of Torts, Section 570 (1976).
Now, I think a lawsuit may end up getting filed here. Amanda did uh, well she doxxed herself. Which is. A really bad idea for all sorts of reasons. There's also at least one person that likely went to school with her (Bee) who would almost certainly be willing to disclose information about what school Amanda went to to lawyers to make contacting/serving her very easy.
If the allegations are false, a lawsuit also would be a way for Dream to add provable records to the public record where they become worth way more than "just trust me this is unaltered" so it'd be a good move both legally speaking and for PR.
I'm not convinced a case like this would go to trial. I mean, I do not know what sort of resources Amanda has. But lawyers are very expensive, and if Dream files in Florida instead of NJ which to my understanding would be possible, Amanda may then have to travel to Florida or hire a lawyer within Florida to defend her. If her claims are false, the sudden expenses may suddenly make holding onto those claims no longer worth it. In which case she would probably attempt to apologize/settle.
Now, to my understanding, while she could retract/apologize, Dream could still sue her if her claims are false. But I'm doubtful Dream would be interested in pursuing the case much further than getting an apology and some sort of settlement to send a message.
So, I think we will hopefully end up seeing some stuff from lawyers, although I'm hoping at least one of the involved parties mentions when things become a matter of public record, since it can be such a pain to track down court records w/o a docket number.
(also as a note I am not a lawyer, nor trained in anything to do with law, this is all from my personal understanding and could be incorrect in many different ways!)

Special counsel Jack Smith has informed former President Donald Trump by letter that he is a target in his investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election, sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.
Trump also confirmed the development in a post on his Truth Social platform.
The letter, which sources said was transmitted to Trump's attorneys in recent days, indicates that yet another indictment of the former president could be imminent -- though it is not immediately clear what kind of charges he could ultimately face.
Target letters are typically given to subjects in a criminal investigation to put them on notice that they are facing the prospect of indictment.
Multiple sources tell ABC News that allies, aides and attorneys for the former president have been working to determine if anyone else received a target letter from the special counsel regarding the election probe.
"We can't find anyone," a source said Tuesday afternoon.
An attorney for Trump's former personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, told ABC News that the former New York City mayor had not received a letter as of Tuesday afternoon.
Trump previously received a target letter from Smith before he was indicted by a grand jury in Florida for his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House and his alleged efforts to obstruct the government's investigation.
Smith took control of the sprawling Justice Department investigation into the failed efforts by Trump and his allies to thwart his election loss upon his appointment as special counsel in November of last year, and in recent months dozens of witnesses have appeared to testify before a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C.
According to sources, prosecutors have questioned witnesses specifically about the efforts to put forward false slates of so-called false electors that were to have cast electoral college votes during the certification for Trump in key swing states that he lost to President Joe Biden.
Investigators have also sought information on Trump's actions and his state of mind in the days leading up to and on Jan. 6, 2021, when thousands of Trump supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol, temporarily disrupting the certification and causing lawmakers and former Vice President Pence to flee the building.
Trump was indicted last month on 37 criminal counts related to his handling of classified materials, after Smith's prosecutors said he repeatedly refused to return hundreds of documents containing classified information ranging from U.S. nuclear secrets to the nation's defense capabilities. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The former president has also pleaded not guilty to a 34-count indictment from the Manhattan district attorney charging him with falsifying business records in connection with a hush money payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels days before the 2016 presidential election.

Basic Guide to Avoid During Permanent Lip Blushing Training
Mistakes PMU Artists Should Avoid When Learning Lip Blushing
Lip blushing is a permanent makeup (PMU) procedure that involves tattooing permanent makeup onto the lips to enhance their color, shape, and overall appearance. It's gaining popularity among beauty enthusiasts because it helps save time and effort from applying lipstick daily, so learning it can help grow your career as a PMU artist.
Tumblr media
Like other PMU procedures, lip blushing requires techs to undergo training, usually through a lip blush online course. If you want to maximize the outcomes of your lip blush training and please your clients, make sure to avoid the following mistakes:
Neglecting proper safety precautions
As with other PMU procedures, lip blushing involves applying pigments by piercing the skin on your client's lips. Failing to observe proper safety precautions can lead to severe infections and reactions that can threaten your and your client's health.
Your fundamental permanent makeup artist training should teach you safety guidelines like sanitizing your tools and preventing cross-contamination. Just because you're training for more advanced techniques doesn't mean you can neglect the basics. Always prioritize safety to ensure a successful lip blushing procedure.
Overworking your client's lips
If you're more accustomed to working with areas of the face other than the lips, the unique requirements of lip blushing might become a challenge. Keep in mind that the skin on the lips is thin and delicate, so you should handle it differently than you would skin on the brows, for example.
Specifically, do not apply too much pressure on the needle to increase pigment application. You might think this will produce better results, but it will only overwork your client's lips and likely lead to uneven coloration and possible scarring. It will also increase the risk of swelling and may even extend healing time, resulting in an unhappy client.
Failing to communicate with your client
Whether it's basic PMU or advanced lip bush training, one of the most important things you should learn is proper communication with your client. As an artist, you likely have a good idea of what looks good on your client, but your vision may differ from their expectations and preferences.
Learning what questions to ask is key. In general, you should inquire about their desired lip shape, color, daily routine and other details that will help you better understand what they want to achieve. You should also ask about concerns they may have about their lips and the procedure so you know how to give them a satisfying experience.
Not practicing enough
Mastering lip blushing techniques requires a lot of practice -- you don't become an expert overnight. Before offering your services to a client, ensure you've finished your lip blush training and practiced the technique sufficiently. This will not only help you produce excellent results but also ensure your client's safety and comfort.
Assuming all PMU courses are made equal
A simple Google search can show you online courses offering lip-blushing certification and training. You might think these courses are all the same, but that can't be farther from the truth. Some online courses are better than others, so you must be very careful when choosing which one to take.
One of the best ways to ensure you're getting the best education and avoid lip-blushing techniques is to choose courses created by reputable providers. This could be a PMU academy in Florida or another state or a provider like Avarte. Avarte develops online courses that teach artists the latest PMU techniques and help them grow their careers. Get the best value for your time and money by taking PMU courses made by Avarte today.

There's a few things going on here one of them is my name is being used in vain
They're all talking about me saying I did something and they're liars anThesehl pukes here trying to make up stuff. I'm saying all sorts of things about me and you and Galactus and people say they're wrong and they say it by hitting them with things mostly bullets so you guys have a nice scream. You're yelling stuff I mean what a bunch of weirdos. They're doing skans of the area. And corky can't handle it at all is running around blaming us 100% And they're shooting him or her. And it's happening a lot in there shooting them a lot and the idiots are yelling at a lot okay they're morons and in punta Gorda is where it's happening and they're running over there and yelling and people are shooting them.
And my husband notes that their holes out here with the kraken in them and father and mother say that they're a lot closer than these guys think most of the southern tip of Florida 10 miles out and every 10 to 15 miles there's a hole throughout the whole tip with the Kraken in it.
But for real you guys okay here, and skanned. A few say they can see stuff. You look down he said it's pretty deep about 200 MI and others say it's at 60 miles and depends where there's a lot of skanning. Tons and tons of people are looking and Tommy F ran a scan from the ship and can scan like 300 miles and he said he can see anything but that's not the truth.
-they're going after you hard here in Charlotte county today to clean up the people they fired the other day and they're going to fire more today as we stated earlier
-there's several court cases going on in addition to the court cases we already spoke about and they're regarding land and hotels but it's mostly hotels and these people don't want to hear about it when they're going to trade hands, and soon the more lock on anything and people who house them will not own anything at all it's being sent to there it's not going to stop there and the more like her out of their houses and their homes and their history of murderers ending. Today is a huge day hotels account for 90% of their housing houses were thought to but they don't and they had filled the hotels around here and in fort Myers Tampa Sarasota for many months and they fight them from there but now the hotels that are in they're still about 5 to 10% of the hotels in Florida I can't get them out and the owners won't force them out and they are telling them to and they say no we can't do it we're too small they'll turn around and wipe us out so you're going to lose their property and the max won't buy it from them because of how they got it.
-it's a big movement here to remove the wall and say can't believe it's up and it says that and they could not believe when they saw where the stone came from people checked it's going to be a hell of a day you're going through a lot of stuff like that totally Miss skipping love different code they're crazy cuz they don't check it
-if harassed my husband so much I believe he just wants to sit there it's true so we're going to go after them and this idiots are running around town saying stuff about me and him that we are Galactus and Galactica and really they're trying to threaten regular people. I was about Gome and we're going to take care of the job before the noisy the max are sending orders to pick them all up and they're sending the orders now.
-and a couple more things we are experiencing a lot of calls from these people constant threats and idiot stuff and they don't listen at all what's happening. We need cartels but it doesn't mean something it's on the move

How Much Caffeine in Decaf Coffee?
One of the inquiries we're posed most often at Swiss Water is "How much caffeine is in some decaf?" The vast majority realize that even decaffeinated coffee isn't 100 percent caffeine free. Because of the idea of decaf handling — any sort of decaf handling — it's simply impractical to get each and every particle of caffeine out of a coffee bean (except if you eliminate the flavors that make coffee taste like coffee). In any case, what's the significance here in certifiable terms assuming you're attempting to keep away from caffeine for wellbeing reasons, or cutoff caffeine under any circumstance — and need to realize the amount you're taking ready?
The response is a hard one to give. In truth, there are such countless factors (like the strategy for preparing or measure of coffee utilized) engaged with carrying a decaf coffee from us to you that the exact measure of caffeine in your last cup is in a real sense continuously going to change. We're mindful of a scope of results across various friend investigated examinations, too. A recent report from the College of Florida School of Medication in Gainesville found caffeine content in some fermented decaf landed somewhere close to 3-15mg, contingent upon size of coffee and technique (shot of coffee or 16oz blended). By and large, we find that some decaf has around 10% of the caffeine of a normal coffee — which works out to somewhat less caffeine than you'd track down in an ounce of dim chocolate, or not exactly a portion of how much caffeine in a jar of Coke.
For what reason is it so challenging to give hard numbers on how much caffeine is in decaf coffee? There are a couple of reasons. While we ensure that any decaffeinated green (unroasted) coffee that emerges from the Swiss Water is 99.9% caffeine free — the amount of that 0.1% turns out to be polished off can shift. The Swiss Water® Cycle is just a single stage in a coffee's excursion. After it leaves our hands, coffee goes to the roaster, where what a coffee is cooked can mean for residual caffeine levels. Sadly — the impacts of broiling on are reliably conflicting, as per both our examination and that of others. Which is to say that we can't be aware without a doubt how much caffeine levels will be diminished by a specific way of broiling, be it light or super-dull — however the cycle seldom tremendously affects caffeine content.
When a decaf coffee is cooked, there's likewise the question of blending it. How a coffee is fermented in a bistro or home climate can decide the amount of that limited quantity of left over caffeine makes it into your cup: clearly, assuming that you mix your coffee extra-solid and utilize much more coffee in the process than another person does utilizing a similar sort of coffee and mix technique, you would have somewhat more caffeine in your cup than that individual. These factors influence the amount of that follow caffeine might wait, and this can change by a couple of milligrams for every cup. On the off chance that caffeine responsiveness is an issue for you, we suggest attempting different beans and preparing techniques to see which decaf feels best for your body and your way of life.
We know it's disappointing to not have a particular response that fits all individuals and all circumstances, however by the day's end, caffeine solace and security will be an individual choice for every person, and for those with wellbeing concerns in regards to caffeine, we generally suggest talking with a clinical specialist. Assuming that you pick to drink decaf, beginning with a cycle that outcomes in 99.9% caffeine free coffee, and does as such without adding any substance solvents like the Swiss Water® Cycle, is the best method for getting yourself in a good position. Good wishes!

The State of Florida & You
Tumblr media
First of all, don't worry. I am not handling graphics on the site. 😂 I'm just having myself some fun. It's Friday, after all. TGIF, people! ❤ But I promised I would and I will and here it is: Let's talk about Floridians! For a more in-character introduction, check out my other awesome art piece.
But brass tacks! Read on for some basics and frequently asked questions about our sunshiney neighbors.
Floridians: They've always been aliens.
At our upcoming science fiction roleplay, we're going to tell you the TRUTH. While other roleplays are content to leave you in the dark, X WORLD is all about honesty. And the honest truth is ... Florida is a load of crock. As our FAQ puts it,
Brace yourself: the state of Florida does not exist and never has. Invented ages ago by spooky government officials who required a fictional place to obscure the origins of certain individuals, and bolstered by constant efforts to falsely advertise its made-up beaches, fantastical amusement parks, and strange "locals," Florida has been used as a false origin and cover story for extraterrestrial visitors for years. Ages, even. Basically forever.
In our setting, "Floridians" then refers to extraterrestrial visitors and citizenry enrolled in the Florida Program and disguised as formerly subtropical human beings. This allows them access to many benefits as well as many challenges.
Confused? Don't be. Here are some common questions about Floridians, many straight from our FAQ!
What kind of alien can I make? We went over this a bit the other day... On X WORLD, you can make any kind of alien you want; we will have no prescribed alien peoples, planets, or species. Because there are a bazillion gamillion trillion fazillion nebulas, galaxies, stars, planetary systems, and exoplanets, all aliens can easily be completely different from one another. So go wild! The world is your giant space oyster. For your edification, our profiles will ask what kind of lifeform your extraterrestrial character is and will also inquire about their true identity, their true form, their cover story, and any abilities they have, areas they might need to improve on—and just a few fun facts about them in general.
So my alien can have special powers and abilities? Yes. In fact, they can have any power you can imagine. We suggest you think about the composition of your alien and how that might interact with the physics or scientific laws of Earth—not to mention any quirks that might occur with their human disguise! For example, my color-based alien lifeform Edie, whose true form is something closer to mist than body, can float and see colors humans can't—but her disguise is too light (because it's almost hollow) and she can get knocked down by a stiff breeze super easily! Where can my alien be from? Alien lifeforms originate from anywhere outside our Solar System. Most aliens have relocated from outside the Solar System as well; however, outliers are possible. For example, some aliens may have secretly landed and hidden on Earth generations ago. You may use your own discretion and best senses in determining your alien's origin story.
Does my alien have to be enrolled in the Florida Program? Not necessarily. Extraterrestrial alien lifeforms are encouraged but not required to enroll in the Florida Program. Your alien could have come to the planet by other means or other programs. They could have crash-landed and wish to avoid detection. Or, they could overlap another group, such as an alien enrolled in the Florida Program but also employed by the Department or involved with the University. As of the start of the game, Floridian participants are also eligible to graduate into citizenship after ten years of enrollment, making them Earthlings as well!
Does the public know about aliens? The existence and presence of alien life is strictly confidential, tippity-top secret, on a super-duper need-to-know basis and those that need to know are NOT supposed to tell … but when has that plan ever worked?
By and large, the public does not know about the existence of extraterrestrial visitors; it’s a closely guarded secret. However, there are always exceptions, and you can assume that some secret agents may choose to tell their families despite their nondisclosure agreements or an alien child might decide to tell his human best friend, et cetera.
You can also assume that if a citizen goes to the media with this knowledge, shadowy figures will work to thoroughly discredit them. Why do you think all UFO theorists look and sound like nutty hillbillies to you?
What kind of story opportunities can my alien have? So many! There are many different themes, tensions, and narrative opportunities throughout the setting. Additionally, I've included four storyline suggestions for each member group. They look a little something like this, for instance: ALIENS BOUGHT THE FARM: Floridians can live anywhere in the city, but many have elected to live just outside Earth, Ohio, in the remote and large-acreage farmlands that surround half of the town—and you know what else? They're really good at it. As a matter of fact, Floridian-owned farms and ranches have set new county records in both size and quality of the yields as well as flavor. But how long will it be before humans get suspicious of their bizarre farming methods, otherworldly fruits, and secrets?
I hope this helps you envision alien life on this strange and wonderful planet of ours. I'm excited to see the kinds of stories you come up with! If you have any remaining questions about Floridians or other aliens, please feel free to ask!

Common Mistakes and Business Plan Writing Advice from BusinessPlans.com
Deerfield Beach, Florida: Having a solid business plan is the first step to making any business successful. However, many start-ups think it is a waste of time and money to hire a professional business writer and do it on their own and then mesh up the things. Today, BusinessPlans.com reveals the most common mistakes to avoid when writing a business plan that no one tells you about. To help you avoid making these typical errors, read the post:
Weak Business Ideas:
Not all ideas will be successful. There are times when the risk associated with your idea means that you won't be able to secure funding for it. Sometimes, there is no demand or the price is too high. Aim to come up with ideas for small businesses that will only require a small amount of capital and will allow you to avoid the typical startup costs.
Lack of an Exit Plan
When reviewing your business plan, potential investors will be looking for one thing: a return on their investment. It will be hard to get funding if you can't show investors how they can get their money back at the highest possible profit.
Inequitable team composition:
Building a successful company requires nothing less than a truly exceptional product. However, with a fantastic group of people, anything is possible. An unbalanced team is often overlooked by business owners. They assume that your audience is interested in how much money you can make, but not in the details of how you plan to do that. When presenting a new software idea, it's always a good idea to have at least one developer or IT expert on your side.
False financial forecasts:
The most engaging part of your writing is the numbers. At the very least, include a balance sheet, cash flow statement, statement of operations, and a statement of income. Business plans that include a break-even analysis and ROI calculations have a better chance of being taken seriously.
The spelling and grammar errors:
To some companies, investing in a professional business plan writer may seem unnecessary. The truth is that even at the best companies, documents are reviewed by an editor before being released to the public. How can a possible investor trust you if your business plan is full of spelling mistakes?
Advice for Creating a Winning Business Plan:
A successful business plan requires careful consideration of several critical factors.
Understanding the customers:
If you know who will read your plan, even if it's just you trying to sort out your thoughts, you can write in a more engaging style and provide more or less detail as appropriate. This can also help you decide which details are important to include and which ones you can leave out.
Define your objective:
If you want to raise capital for your business, as opposed to just working through the plan for yourself or with your team, you'll need to put in more time and produce a more comprehensive plan.
Research:
Some parts of your business plan will be driven primarily by your own ideas and vision, while others will require research from external sources to fill in the gaps. Here's the place to find out who you're selling to, if there's a market for your products, and who your competitors are.
Make it brief and direct:
Your business plan, no matter its audience, should be brief and easy to read, no more than 25 to 30 pages at most. You might want to add some appendices with any extra information you think will help your readers understand your goals.
Maintain consistency in tone, style, and voice:
The best way to handle this is to have one person create the plan or to give the plan ample time for editing before it is released.
Engage the services of a business plan writing company:
It is not a trivial task for business owners to write a business plan. But it's crucial for any entrepreneur starting out or growing their business. The good news is that you can get assistance from professionals who specialize in writing business plans with everything from brainstorming and outlining to designing charts and integrating financial data. Meanwhile, in local news…. So, I was doing an annual check-up a few days ago (I really need to stop doing that w/some ppl, who love to take advantage of the fact that I care & love too much)—and I found this little gem…. As intended, it rubbed me the wrong way—but at first I thought, why bother?—let it slide; on second thought, however, since you’re obviously gagging for some closure (after meeting me exactly once—and btw you still owe me what?—$80 for that "great reiki session" you’d conned me into giving you for free), I thought I’d give it to you, even though it's been five years since my car was totaled in the exact same month I'd met you… You know who you remind me of w/your ongoing theories that some clients don't come back because you told them the truth (or were otherwise just too honorable or too good for them, right?)—you remind me of those guys (like Dan from Florida, actually, but I've run into the same line before) who, after finding out that I "claim" to be bisexual, but also finding out that I don't want to fuck them personally, decide to announce that I'm simply wrong about my own desires & I really just have a preference for women—in other words, I just don't want to fuck them cuz I'm gay... I mean, they're right that I have a *preference*—and it's a preference for fucking & talking to people other than themselves... But you see, their egos are so fragile that they'll go out of their way to concoct any theory that makes it about my inadequacies & not theirs (which makes them even *less* attractive as lovers or as friends—or teachers, or readers, or reiki practitioners)... I did not come back to see you not because I couldn't "handle the truth," of which you spoke so little—but, to the contrary, cuz half the shit you told me was a *lie* (I mean, you shouldn't even know my fucking last name—so how do you even know about my blog?—or the fact that I am "a Jew," as you for *some* reason told my roommate, who I don't even think knew that detail herself since we'd never discussed my ethnicity to the best of my recollection)... I did not come back to see you because I *didn't like you* & decided to pass on what was sure to become a connection that would have been quite detrimental for me & extremely favorable for you (which is why you still can't get over it)... I felt you were too volatile, parasitic (as in, you don't ask or wait for something to be given to you—you just sort of *take* it), pushy, rude, & emotionally unstable to be my reiki teacher—or anything (and I suspect some of those clients who don't come back to see you because you're just too much, might have felt the same way)... I hope that answers your questions enough for you to stay away from my fucking birthday next year in posting what are, in fact, extremely judgmental thoughts: I mean, if I were a client who came to a reader about an emotional issue, and that reader used the words "the person you *claim* to love"—like we're in a court of law & you're using the word "alleged"—I'd just say, "You know what, I don't need this shit"... If you were my therapist & you used the words "claim to love," you'd be a piss-poor shrink who'd have no clients left... Now leave me the fuck alone...

Have you seen people online who talk about how euphoria showcases too much trauma and sort of argue it’s dangerous that the show exists. I was just wondering what you thought of that? I find it to be incredibly censorship-y (sorry for the made up word) and just, idk, overlooking that it is really good for a “save the children” sort of argument. I don’t know though I am biased and I don’t want to dismiss peoples feelings.
I'm 25.
So that means I grew up in the degrassi, skins, gossip girl era and I'll be the first to admit that I'm pretty much desensitized to just about anything at this point. Shows like this have been around forever and we ate them tf up too while I'm sure older generations were against it then. It's a cycle and I'm definitely not saying it's okay to keep making shows like this just because it's always been a thing because once upon a time it was normalized to marry off 14 year olds do 30 something men (and still is in some places) so...
With that being said, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with making content that focuses on more traumatic and serious topics. It's mostly about how it's done and the intent about it. I don't agree with the opinion that every show about teenagers needs to be some happy go lucky show with maybe some superpowers thrown in. However, in the case of euphoria, we can't ignore things like the excessive nudity and who is actually behind this show (hiya Drake, still texting 15 year olds and feeling on 17 year olds?). That's a big factor that needs to be considered and I don't blame anybody who is turned off by that.
When it comes to the traumatic stuff it includes, I've seen both sides of the argument and honestly? I'm ultimately on the side that focuses on how real some of this stuff is. I really hope this doesn't make me sound like a bit of a bitch, but some people are just sheltered. Plain and simple. Some people have lived incredibly sheltered lives and while there isn't anything wrong with that at all, a lot of them have this attitude that because they didn't experience something, then it's not as common as people claim and that's just not true.
I went to high school in FLORIDA. Some of the things that happened at my high school makes euphoria look like Sesame Street. I've seen people in comment sections haughtily claiming that it's so unrealistic and is actually for the minority of people who experienced similar stuff in high school and then 2 comments down ill see a comment with 4.7K likes talking about how triggering the show is for them at times because it's so real to what they've gone through or seen someone else go through 🤷🏾‍♀️
There was a whole video on tiktok with every comment in agreement talking about how well Rue's drug addiction is handled and the stuff she does because it's sooo scarily accurate for them and they can't watch it. And I've seen people argue that with well just because something is common and real doesn't mean media should be made about it and that's...just...stupid to me because that 100% sounds like because something makes you personally uncomfortable you don't think it should be talked about at all and in that case...you can simply just not watch.
I've been seeing the discourse since season 1 and euphoria isn't going anywhere. I'm not saying that as a brag but merely a fact. It is popular and it stars one of the biggest young actresses of this generation. We get it, people think it should be set in college but it's not. We get it that you think it's a bit too much but that's not changing because it's become it's brand at this point. The discussions are not going to change anything. That's just the truth and I see people complain about the lack of more normal shows about teens and it's like...they are there. Y'all don't watch them 😐
I've seen it happen time and time again. People complain about the lack of interesting shows or the lack of more appropriate teen shows but when those shows are made...they flop. Producers pay attention to what y'all consume and time and time again, y'all show them what y'all actually consume despite what you say.
I would say that outer banks isn't on the same popularity level as euphoria and while it's not a "normal" teen show, it's still interesting with a good plot and teens aren't sexualized but it's not talked about as much. We had The Get Down on Netflix and honestly I don't think anybody was watching that outside of black people. I've hardly heard anybody talk about Raising Dion except for when it was first announced. People say they want more college shows and then call The Sex Lives of College Girls corny 🤷🏾‍♀️ Enough said.
That's my opinion on that matter

I’m not sure if people have completely wrapped their minds around this, but we have an entire political party that has converted into an authoritarian—albeit Americanized version—style of politics that cares nothing about U.S. democracy or anyone who is not white.
With the exception of a few dissenting Republican senators who aren’t up for reelection until 2024 or 2026 (only Lisa Murkowski of Alaska is on the ballot in 2022) or are retiring, the GOP not only acquitted Donald Trump of inciting an insurrection that he clearly incited, but they told Republican voters that the lies Trump told them were true: The election was stolen and you have a right to be angry about that.
And it’s working.
During the impeachment trial last week, his defense lawyers reinforced those lies, and Republicans basically sat by and said nothing to counter them. They, in effect, are a party of turncoats. What makes their behavior so terrifying is that Democrats, who hold control of the Senate by only Vice President Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking vote, are left with no choice but to negotiate with the very people whose leading members encouraged the coup and instigated supporters to undermine American institutions.
Pam Keith, a U.S. Navy veteran who ran out of Florida’s 18th Congressional District as the Democratic nominee, told The Root that Democrats should give up on working with Republicans as if they are operating in good faith and have shown that they will be as corrupt and obstructionist as Trump.
“What they’re saying is we don’t care that he broke the law,” said Keith, who also hosts the politics show But What It Really Means. “He’s our guy and we’re with our guy and there’s nothing you can say to make us turn on our guy. He’s above the law. He’s above the Constitution. He is above the well-being of the United States because he’s our mechanism to retaining power. That is the absolute definition of totalitarian dictatorship. We don’t care what he does—especially if what he does hurts you,” she said.
“You cannot live in a diverse country when the paradigm is oppressed or be oppressed. That’s what’s going on in South Sudan right now. There’s only one way: bloody conflict. The only way a country like ours survives is through mutual agreement to set a standard. That’s what the Constitution is. That’s what the rule of law is. If you don’t have that, then there’s no incentive to peacefully allow the other sides to exercise power.”
Kyle Bibby, national campaign manager at Common Defense and a former Marine Corps Infantry officer, told The Root that had a foreign entity engaged in an attack similar to the Jan. 6 coup attempt or rallied the support of the main culprit thereafter, the U.S. military would have responded with an offensive strike or at the minimum stiff economic penalties. But he added that the militias and Trump supporters who were there are ultimately not so much the issue as is the Republican Party that empowers them.
When asked about the violent insurrectionists, Bibby said, “If they were in Afghanistan, we would’ve hit them. Either a raid, drop a bomb on them, whatever it is.” He continued, “But the organizations that are funding this and who are backing this that are creating the political movement behind this are organizations like Fox News, Breitbart, One America News Network, and the Republican Party. If these organizations existed in another country, we would be sanctioning them. We would be seizing their assets for inciting terroristic threats against an American ally or against U.S. interests.”
Mind you, Republicans lead a meaningless investigation into the Benghazi attack, accusing Democrats of being soft on terrorism. They forced Susan Rice to withdraw her name from consideration for Obama’s secretary of state because of their unfounded claims that she did not react appropriately to the 2012 attacks on the American consulate in Libya. They drilled former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in very bad faith, for hours over her management of the tragedy during a hearing in 2015. Meanwhile, when it comes to the attack on the U.S. Capitol, Republican Congress members called for the nation to move on and acquitted the man responsible for inciting it.
“The bottom line is that this kind of white nationalist violence was never taken seriously,” Pam Campos-Palma, director of Peace & Security at the Working Families Party, told The Root, “because it is inherent to the GOP, policing and national security institutions.”
In addition to terrorism against their fellow citizens and authoritarian behavior, Republicans also traffic in conspiracy theories. Newly sworn member of Congress Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) has become Trump’s loudest disseminator of conspiracy theories and lies about the 2020 election, according to CNN:
Greene also peddled in 2017 the debunked “Clinton Kill List” or “Clinton Body Count” conspiracy, which alleges the Clintons have assassinated their associates. She spread false conspiracies the Clintons were involved in sextrafficking and peddled the cruel conspiracy that Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was not killed during an attempted robbery but murdered by Democratic actors.
CNN’s KFile previously reported that Greene in 2017 peddled the “Pizzagate” conspiracy, a debunked conspiracy alleging that Clinton and other Democratic Party leaders were running a human-trafficking and pedophilia ring out of a pizzeria in Washington, DC. In a blog post, she suggested that the White supremacist rally held in 2017 in Charlottesville, Virginia, that killed one woman was an “inside job” to “further the agenda of the elites.” Greene also endorsed 9/11 trutherism conspiracies and falsely claimed there was no evidence a plane crashed into the Pentagon, according to reporting from Media Matters.
She was stripped of her committee assignments, but the GOP leadership still supported her.
In Texas, Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is blaming wind turbines and the Green New Deal for power outages across his state—which are lies. MSNBC’s Chris Hayes spent more than seven minutes debunking right-wing media lies about the outages, but Republicans in Congress aren’t doing much to quell them. In fact, they are spreading them. Much of why they are doing this is because they feel their power is being threatened and the only way to galvanize support for their causes is through lying and scaring people so intensely that they will see lies as truth. Those people are the ideal type of supporters Republicans can groom into ill-informed and lethal insurrectionists and white supremacists who will help you maintain power—even if it destroys the country, so long as enough of the “enemy”—Black folks and people of color—suffer and/or die as a result.
Malcolm Nance, a national security expert and author of the upcoming book, They Want to Kill Americans: The Armed Militias, The Fanatical Terrorists, and The Deranged Ideology of the Coming Trump Insurgency, told The Root that not only is the Republican Party behaving like a terror group, he predicted soon after the Charlottesville, Va., attacks in 2017 that Trump’s use of insurrectionist language—“stand down and stand by”—essentially would become a white supremacist call to arms akin to kind of terrorist extremism he saw as a military intelligence officer.
“If Trump wins, these unofficial paramilitaries, the Proud Boys, the Boogaloo Boys, the state militias, all these other groups, are essentially going to become semi-official Brownshirts [the original paramilitary of Germany’s Nazi Party] of the Trump campaign,” he said. “If Trump loses, these people are going to become the Iraq insurgents. They’re going to go underground. They’re going to be furious and, over time, with the Trump campaign leading as the political wing of this insurgency. With a president in exile, those people will resort to armed violence, political standoffs, and terrorism.”
He said the reason why these threats aren’t taken seriously is because white people do not take white terrorism seriously. He brought up a post-election appearance on Bill Maher where he was a guest with an expert from George Washington University who said his analysis was over the top.
“She’s all, ‘Tone it down. Kumbaya,’ and I’m telling her what I’ve seen for the last six months, which is, the alt-right has transformed itself into the paramilitary arm of the Trump campaign,” he said. “Now that Trump has lost that election, they are going to be the Iraq insurgents. The Republican Party will view themselves as Sinn Fein and the Republican base will view themselves as the white Catholics who think they’ve got to support the IRA.”
Nance added: “Black evidence is never believed until a white person confirms it.”
Democrats introduced a resolution calling for an investigation into white supremacy earlier this month. This week, the NAACP, civil rights law firm Cohen Milstein Sellers & Toll and Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss) are suing Trump, his lawyer Rudy Giuliani and two white nationalist groups over the coup. While these are promising steps, Democrats have few options to get to the heart of white terrorism because their Republican colleagues in Congress benefit from it politically. We have to view the GOP as enemy combatants because, for years, they have proven that Democrats are theirs.
As far as Keith is concerned, Democrats have to go hard. That means going as far as pressuring any Democrat who supports the filibuster into changing their mind or face a primary challenge. The days of compromise are dead. Obama should have taught us that much. The GOP went to war with him for eight years and Democrats, along with much of America, suffered.
We don’t want to be as gangsta as they are,” Keith said of Democrats in Congress. “We still have this delusion of bipartisanship. There’s no fucking bipartisanship. Get off that ship. It does not work. It’s sinking. It’s done. It’s at the bottom of the ocean. It’s the fucking Titanic. It’s down in the water. Let it go.”
Update: 2/19/2012, 5:23 p.m. ET: A quote by Kyle Bibby was clarified to reflect that he meant that the insurrectionists would be bombed not the GOP.
