Hey what do you think about Dick and his relationship with his queer identity, bc similar to your recent post abt Dick having zero desire to be perceived, whenever I see content about Dick Grayson being out publicly as bi or some other flavor of queer, I personally would consider that ooc, he values his privacy way too much to ever come out to the media

i can only speak for myself as a lesbian but personally id think he has chronic ‘it’s none of your fucking business’ disease wrt all his relationships. like yeah it would depend a lot on who he’s dating but he’d be more….. passively out? he looked at joey as a teenager and was like hmmm…… ill figure that out at some point and then just never did. like the people he actually cares about would know. it’d be a conversation he’d have with his partners — tho since he only seems to date other bi people it’d be a pretty short talk — but he wouldn’t want it to be a public talking point. people conflate being very open about it to be the only way to be comfortable with ur sexuality but honestly i disagree. i think ive formally ‘come out’ to maybe five or six people in my life. for me im just not interested in anyone else’s opinion.

he’ll go to the pflag meeting or go with tim and cass to pride but dicks not gonna announce he’s dating a man imo. i will say however there’s probably a drag queen named dyke grayson in universe that he follows on twitter

couldnt decide on drawing fish or horsies

#the first one is bc I was totk infodumping and I was like yoo what if the other races lived in the depths at some point too #like. there are statues that depict each of the races but no evidence they actually lived down there #it would be so cool if we had stories of Zora that lived in the depths and changed from being in the dark for so long. like their scales #glowed and they grew long fins to feel and smell in the dark. we could have Zora based on deep sea creatures #the other one I wanted to do was depths rito but there are so few documented nocturnal birds. even less people associate with darkness #so it would have been mostly owls but maybe kiwi and nightjars. rito are so hard to draw #the other thing I was thinking was they evolved again and turned into bats. theyre pretty damn good at evolving so why not #but then my brain was like horsies. so I drew bat fluttershy #I want to give her a bat nose and membrane.. apparently the mane 6 turn her back but she grows a fang. but I also want her to have bat #wings under her feathers. like it looks like normal Pegasus wings from the outside but the inside is lined like a bats wing with membrane yk #femoral membrane and leaf nose also. maybe she gets quieter flying and better night vision plssss #discord also for fun but I wanna stylize him tmrw #my art #myart #doodles #mlp #my little pony #mlp fluttershy #mlp discord #loz #botw #totk #botw zora #eye contact #scopo

Seeing characters in romance stories just jetting between countries at a moment's notice with no thought for visa; seeing airports as sites of triumphant climaxes and romantic denouements instead of places of fear and danger where a sword hangs above your head— it all breaks off little pieces of my heart. They're constant reminders that my people will never be human enough in the colonial world order to be allowed to move freely around it. No matter what your race, those non-refugees living in the Global North will never understand what it's like to be part of a global ghetto where your passport is nothing but a trembling supplication and humiliation.
