Durham College has a new Food Foundry, which is an incubator for food-based business ideas. The initiative helps students taking food programs at the college research, develop and create new food products. The Food Foundry recently held a contest as part of Durham College's annual Research Day -- student Mahmoud El Maaraoui won first place for his product "Simply Kefir, " which is a fizzy, fruity kefir drink that has lots of probiotics.
