🍝SDV Headcanon: Pasta (bachelorettes) 🍝

Yesterday was National Pasta Day. Here are my headcanons involving pasta and the bachelorettes. Farmer is a pasta lover. See my pasta headcanons for bachelors here.  What other HC’s would you like to see?

I’m so bummed. I spent like an hour writing these and then the Internet ate it. Meh... okay, let’s try this again. 

Abigail

Is into weird, experimental stuff. Fugu noodles? Spicy eel noodles? Pumpkin noodles? 

Once made Sebastian a ramen noodle sandwich. He promptly took her back upstairs to teach her how to properly make ramen. 

Dyes the noodles black for Spooky Day with a chunky pumpkin tomato sauce. Pierre would raise an eyebrow, but Caroline would be supportive of her daughter’s creativity. 

Is more into the desserts post pasta - she would make her unusual pasta dish if the farmer made her favorite pumpkin cheesecake. 

If in a romantic relationship, Abigail packs a pasta lunch into the Farmer’s knapsack before going into the mines. Then of course, joins them on an adventure! Definitely with Bilbo Baggins energy. 

Maru 

Prefers noodle substitutes. Once when she was a kid, she choked on pasta. It’s a psychological thing, but she can’t eat spaghetti. Red sauce. Blech! 

Bought a vegetable spiraler tool for making alt-noodles. It’s one of the things she enjoys doing with her mom. Robin likes making beet, carrot, and zucchini spirals. 

Her absolute favorite is cheesy cauliflower noodles! She would shyly request fresh cheese from the Farmer if they are friends. 

If she has to eat pasta, Maru likes Thai rice noodles (super thin noodles). 

Since this girl loves strawberries, she attempted to figure out dessert pasta. Is thrilled to discover a Polish dish with strawberries and cream pasta. 

Maru also enjoys the heat. Lots of spices added to her pastas. Cilantro. Red curry paste. She would get fresh honey from the Farmer to add to her Sriracha sauce if they are friends. 

In a romantic relationship, she is so excited if you offer to make alt-noodles with her. She would worry about what to wear for once, and go to Haley for advice before realizing that she needs to get across town to meet you at the house in time. 

Harvey once accidentally ate some of her pasta for lunch. His mouth was on fire for an hour. (Yes, I can picture his hair standing on end).  

Leah 

Also likes truffles like Harvey. Sometimes she brings him a pasta with truffles dish for lunch because the poor man forgets to take a break and eat. 

Marnie let her set up a little smoker on the property. Leah smokes her own meats. If the Farmer keeps goats, Leah would swing by frequently for a sampling of fresh goat cheese for her pasta with smoked bacon dish. 

If she’s in a rush, a simple pasta dish with chopped spring onions, garlic, and Balsamic vinaigrette is all she needs. 

She enjoys wild caught salmon with her pasta served with fresh herbs. 

Leah cans her own sauce with fresh ingredients foraged from the forest and from the Farm. If friends, Leah brings a can over to the Farmer about once a month. 

If in a romantic relationship, Leah would join the Farmer for a pasta meal and bring a fresh salad and a bottle of wine to enjoy. She also brings hand-crafted jars for the Farmer to store all their noodles. On the bottom, she would carve “hand crafted with love” and a little heart with her name. 

Emily 

Loves earthy vegetables with her pasta. Beets, carrots, daikon, onions and garlic. 

Oh yes, this girl loves garlic! If the recipe calls for 1 clove, she uses 3. And way too much salt. Haley jokes that it’s her sister’s hair dye that makes Emily loopy when it comes to balancing out her spices. The only person who can handle THAT much garlic is Shane. And he never complains when she cooks for him. 

Emily is a hands-on kind-of girl. If friends, harvest vegetables straight from the Farmer’s garden. Shows up wearing a big floppy hat and colorful patchy overalls and sneakers with little handdrawn parrots and rainbows and sunshine. 

If in a romantic relationship, Emily accepts the Farmer’s invite to stay for dinner. Emily trusts the Farmer’s process, but would try to be helpful. She would shuck green beans and shell walnuts on the porch for a green bean, walnut, and creamy parmesan noodles dish. Emily is a hugger. She would hug the Farmer repeatedly while they were cooking. If they got annoyed, she laughs it off and says she just loves them so much. 

Haley 

Asked her dad if angels existed after eating angel hair pasta for the first time as a child. It turned into a long conversation about life, death, and the afterlife. 

Pasta is a comfort dish for Haley. Whenever she’s sad, lonely, scared, or upset, she returns to the classics: carbonara. 

And she’s a meatballs girl. Doesn’t even need pasta. Leah made BBQ meatballs once at a town event and now she’s addicted. 

And a noodles in soup girl. Whenever she’s ill, Emily attempts to make a beef broth and homemade noodles for Haley. It’s way too salty but she appreciates the gesture. 

Became friends with the farmer after they made her chicken noodle soup when she was really sick. What a lovely and kind thing to do! Haley brings them sunflowers as a thank you gift. If in a romantic relationship, Haley bakes a pink cake with strawberry frosting and heart sprinkles. 

Penny 

Knows her way around. Since her mom wasn’t around much, Penny learned to cook at a young age. She actually really enjoys it, but she rarely has the time to work in the kitchen in peace. 

Makes macaroni noodle necklaces with Jas and Vincent. Blushes like crazy if you compliment the one she’s wearing. 

Gnocchi (with extra potatoes) is her favorite pasta. Pairs perfectly with Emily’s extra garlicky garlic bread. 

She enjoys a good shrimp scampi also. Would eat with Elliott every once in awhile and bond over the dish. He’s hopeless in the kitchen. *face-palm*

If in a romantic relationship with the Farmer, she comes over to cook pasta often, handrolling out her noodles. She loves the quiet of the Farmhouse kitchen. 

Also, she has a romantic fantasy of being blindfolded and hand fed noodles, especially if the Farmer kisses her neck after the butter drizzles down.

wasn't tagged by anyone in particular, but @loafysims and @ravensccfindss both mentioned me in this tag recently so i thought i'd give it a shot. also my need for attention is a bottomless pit so.

1.) What’s your favourite sims death?

honestly, the classic, putting a sim in a pool and then taking out the ladder. theres no common sense to the action it's just genuinely so funny.

2.) Alpha CC or Maxis Match? 

technically im maxis mix, but i tend to lean very hard to maxis match clothing.

3.) Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?

no not really. if i want them to loose weight i'll have them work out

4.) Do you use move objects?

if you dont use moveobjects, i think legally we can consider you clinically insane.

5.) Favorite mod?

this is so hard... ummmmm, probably like better build buy. i spend a good amount of time in build mode and use debug/live edit objects a ton when i build, so it's pretty useful.

6.) First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?

i think it was get to work, i even bought it in a physical case thingy and i still have it lying around somewhere. (as well as seasons.)

7.) Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing?

LIVE mode.

you're asking me to pick a favorite? out of all my children?? i honestly can't pick a favorite, but here's layla, and i love her.

yeah, i've tried on multiple occasions, but none of them have ever really captured my essence all that well. eventually i gave up and just started using my mascot sim, Nellie, for my quote-on-quote "branding"

im gonna go ahead and give myself five traits assuming we all have the "more traits in cas" mod:

To start off, I’m in my 20s. My pronouns are they/them, AFAB and genderfluid! My sexuality is panromantic and acespec, and love me some fictional men. <3 My star sign is Taurus and MBTI type is INFP.

Also I’m AuDHD, have PSTD and am a bit of an introvert.

For appearances, I’m 5’4 (cries) with medium length darkish brown hair in the style of a shaggy mullet, light warm toned skin and a mid size body type. And I’m nearsighted AF so I use glasses.

I tend to dress in very fem fashion most times. My style fluctuates between goth aesthetic and the pink cutesy aesthetic, which is always hilarious to see people’s baffled reactions when one day I’m dressed fully in black then the next day where a very pink and sanrio themed outfit. 🤭

Funny that a lot about me fluctuates either from one or the other, I’m so bad with decision making that it’s literally engrained in me lol. This goes for my taste in music as well!

It’s between nu metal and goth rock to chill lo-fi and melodic instrumental! but game soundtracks and music that’s like jack stauber (music you probably hear in a lot of those weirdcore and liminal spaces videos lol) is something I listen to as well!

I’m pretty quiet, get anxious easily (even though I tend to hide it but can still be seen through pacing back and forth a lot eugh). I’m excitable with things I love, though I get scared because my own excitement makes me ramble too much so I try to hold back a lot unless I’m comfortable with the person and am confident they won’t get annoyed or if they ever need a break they could let me know!

I do digital art in my free time and writing storylines and plots to OCs and personal projects probably for most of the day because I love it too much… also, I’m a gamer too! But I have huge preferences for indie horror and cozy games. Horror games with heavy topics like The Cat Lady, and cozy games like Stardew Valley! Also, don’t ever ask me to tell you the FNAF lore I will legit spend hours explaining and adding layers of theories. It’d drive people insane. 🧍

I LOVVEE cozy clothing like oversized sweaters, cold weather, SLEEPING even though I have a hard time doing so, and I’m a huge foodie! I like trying foods from all culture and try new things! :)

I HAATTEE overly bright lights, it sends me into a panic!! The feeling of rubbery squishy food, my autistic butt will die on the spot. 😭 Being ignored is something I can’t stand, I’d probably cry lol. Same effect if I get yelled at.

Stardew Valley Cottage Living Challenge by @hemlocksims

Meet Miranda Turner and Adalynn Turner. In this challenge we are only supposed to start with 1 sim but I decided to have two sims. Miranda and Adalynn used to live in the city but decided to move to Henford on Bagley after they had enough money to buy a plot of land there. Miranda lost both her parents at a young age so Adalynn, her grandmother practically raised her. They used all their money to buy a small cottage on a large plot of land so they started this challenge with 0 simoleons per the challenge rules. 

Miranda started with the curator aspiration and she loves the outdoors, is a foodie, and is an animal enthusiast. 

Adalynn has the successful lineage aspiration. She is childish, a foodie, and good. 

In this challenge their house is supposed to have three lot challenges: simple living, off the grid, and wild foxes. They also start off with three garden plots that we can only plant in. There are bundles we have to compete in order to unlock more stuff. We have to also max out our friendship with the various villagers in HoB and complete 3 errands for each. We are supposed to start this challenge in spring but because I play rotationally I’m starting it in winter.

I know asks aren't open but man do I have a sales pitch that I'm currently workshopping right now!

This was inspired after I watched a few videos from the anime "Farming Life in Another World" and "Campfire Cooking in Another World With my Absurd Skill"!

Picture this!

So we die irl, and as an apology for suffering so much before our death we get sent to another world with the wish to be able to farm like in Minecraft or Stardew Valley and be able to cook food to our heart's content (cuz MC is a foodie and a sucker for farming games).

Next thing we know we are dropped into a new world teeming with human and beasts alike.

(Basically try to mix the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series with Pokemon Legends. That's the angle I'm going for)

Since the human village won't let us in, big deal, we just make our own little niche.

So we find an island (which is barricaded with a magical mist) and we make ourselves at home there.....

With unlimited stamina for farming and building (with some help from some very nice Machoke) and the ability to order food using Online Grocery (god gave us an allowance of their caliber) everything is going fine.

We start getting animals on our side, turning our little camp into a farm of sorts, which starts to expand with time...

One day, a little trip to the "mainland" led to running into the Gingko Guild in trouble (basically the Alpha Garchomp from Hisui Snow) and with dumb luck (and mistaking a pokeball as a dirty rock) you end up catching the Garchomp and saving the Guild (Note Volo is not there because he was slacking off somewhere off screen).

So for a little bit we travel with the Gingko Guild, which led to cooking for them (btw we have to keep the Online grocery thing a secret).

At one point they stopped to make camp and have dinner.

As mc makes food with her best ingredients and the Gingko Guild is just eating it up in more ways than one, a creature sitting in the shadows watches intensely as the smell of food was very intoxicating and wants a bite.

So naturally the said creature comes out, and who would have guessed one of the Legendary Dog Pokemon would make a guest appearance?! (I'm thinking shiny Zacian or Zamazenta, but may change to something else who knows)

I would go on but that may be spoiling too much and I'm still hammering out the finer details. You gotta check out the anime if you wanna get an idea what may happen next...

But on a not so random note, picture Arceus in their domain just watching all of this and is like "I wanna try that!"

And they send "divinations" to the said legendary dog accompanying mc asking to put some "offerings" atop Mt Coronet in return to help mc out with whatever she needs.

Bonus points if Giratina gets in on it too and we baffle the crap out of Volo, and stun Irida and Adaman when their Almighty Sinnoh literally comes down from the heavens to get a taste of the mortal's good cooking....

But yeah chew on that for a bit and just think on it. And let me know what you think!

hhhhhh what i wouldn't give to live in a place like stardew valley

but this is a cool idea!! the quickest way to someone's heart is through their stomach, after all! so of course that applies to pokemon as well! even the most temperamental of beasts can be soothed with a delicious meal, and the gods, upon seeing this master chef, become >:( because they want yummy food too!!

poor mc, navigating this new world with everyone beast big or small, weak or strong, begging them for a taste of their cooking. all these babydoll eyes upon them, even from Arceus themself

it's a fun story with plenty of opportunity for shenanigans!! i like it a lot!! i'd love to know more if you ever wanna share more!!

I'm a vegan of 5 years, vegetarian of 12, and a massive foodie, Indian and Korean food are my favourites 🥰

My favourite things are long nights dancing with my mates, pints of real ale, getting lost in a video game, walking barefoot in the grass, and long train journeys.

I mostly post about Suede and music and pretty stuff but at the moment I'm also dead into Stardew Valley and AMC Interview With The Vampire.

My URL is taken from the name of Elliott's romance novel in Stardew Valley. He's my husband in the game. I'm not really a big romance fan irl, I prefer non-fiction or literary fiction but it's the closest option lol.

intro: hihi! my name’s emma but you can call me em. i’m a graphic designer by day and a simmer by night, it seems lol i’m a huge fan of the sims. i had sims 2 and 3 for my ds as a kid and i’ve been obsessed ever since. now that i’m a few years out of college and have a big fancy pc for work (playing the sims) i’ve been getting more and more invested, so here i am on tumblr again LOL i’m so excited to keep playing and sharing the stories of my sims.

LOL also i wanted to add that i have dyslexia and adhd, plus i usually end up posting late at night right after i finishing playing/before going to bed so if i ever have major wording issues please don’t make fun of me 😂
