@burning-thistles-bt basically what i saw when i read the reveal of lightningfur (and claw) as bloodclans new leader(s)

took me roughly 3 days before i was satisfied

i found reference art for lightningfur and a head pic for nightshine, but i mostly just winged it for feathertail, claw, and tadpole

does claw have a collar? no clue, so i gave her a yellow one. because.

i made feathertail a mist marble tabby because i wanted to make her a sokoke tabby but i didnt have the motivation to do so. i didnt want to make her a boring classic tabby because silverstream is described as a very pretty cat (which to me means she doesnt have normal stripes) and feathertail is like.. silverstream with long fur. i made the stripes on her tail vaguely feather-shaped but i cant draw feathers for the life of me, so...

the next of the prompts @littleblackraincloudofcourse sent me! canon, what canon? i don't remember SHIT so i made things up ofc: 5 times Egwene rescues Rand and 1 time he saves her

they’re not exactly friends. not yet. Rand's always noticed Egwene though - she's nice and smart and pretty - but he doesn't think she's ever seen him as more than just “that guy with Perrin and Mat”. he's proven wrong when she swoops in one day when he's in trouble for getting distracted and pulled into mischief and gets him out of it. (he falls half in love with her then and there.)

it's a start of a pattern. Egwene's always there to get him out of trouble that he finds himself in, and each time, his friends rib him for looking more and more enamoured. (it's not his fault, he swears. she only helps him out and leaves Mat and Perrin and later Leila to their lectures.)

her father doesn't like him much though. doesn't approve of him hanging around, and nothing Rand does changes that. it does not help that Rand's kind of more than a little intimidated. he wants to make a good impression! it's only with Egwene's help that he doesn't make a bad one. (he'll take it. a neutral impression's not the worst thing ever.)

and then there's an Aes Sedai in Two Rivers, and the village is attacked, and so much is happening, Rand's got this thrumming under his skin and - Egwene pulls him out of the way of a blade just before he loses his head. (it's the first time she saves his life. it won't be the last.)

things change on their journey. Rand can't deny the fact that he still dreams of a simple life that's gone out of their reach now, but one thing remains the same - Egwene always knows when he needs help, and just before they get separated, she saves him again. (he prays, desperately, that it won't be the last time he sees her.)

+1. the next time they meet, he steps between her and a blade on instinct. he doekn't know if its her Power or his that reaches out to toss her attacker away, but they fall into sync togetehr like they’ve been doing this their whole life. she's radiant, as always, kind and smart and beautiful, and he loves her but not the way he did before. they're both a little more scarred and hurt, but after the battle, he grabs her in a hug and it's like they're kids again, and everything will be okay. (it'll take a while, and they'll stumble and fight and grow apart, but they'll always be friends. they'll always have each other's back.)
