So i see you're also into 'Soap with self-esteem issues' (excellent taste btw), do you think the rest of the 141 would catch on to Soap's tendency to run headlong into danger and his worrying lack of self-preservation and the need to always prove his worth or is it mostly just a thing that Ghost starts to pick up on?

i feel like they might see it more as him being reckless as fuck at first? cause hes always so boisterous and hes naturally a spitfire. and as they get more comfortable as a team, and they all become closer, they see it more as protectiveness- they feel the same about him, so it isnt unusual to them.

but after graves and las almas and hassan, it gets worse. ghost is the one who experiences it the most, since hes generally paired with him, but gaz and price start to notice it more and more over time and as they go on more missions. even kate notices the increased medbay reports regarding his injury treatment.

price sees it the most outside the field, on base.

the captain starts noticing that soap always accepts whatever job hes given with no real arguments, even when he looks run-ragged. he never had the thought to question it before, since soap obviously would know his own limits- he knows that soap is the one to get ghost to give himself a break when he overworks himself. but now that he actually pays more attention to it, he can see the exhaustion that soap cant quite mask in his posture or hide in his eyes.

gaz sees it more in their downtime.

whenever they hang out, it ends up being something gaz likes. not that they cant like the same things- they seem to genuinely share a lot of the same interests- but if they go out to a bar, is always gazs favorite. if they watch a movie, its one gaz talked about being interested in. if they play a game of some sort, its always something gaz enjoys. even when he asks what soap wants to do, it ends up being something gaz had mentioned at some point. one time he tries to get soap to choose a different place to drink- he says he wants to switch it up a bit, asks soap where he wants to go. soap looks genuinely lost for a moment, before he spews some shit about "that other good bar around, ye ken? cannae remember th' name," until gaz suggests something.

kate sees it in reports most of the time, since shes off base far more often than the others are.

when looking over reports and records, she can tell that soap is in the medbay both way too often and way too little. she may not be a medical expert, but she knows that a soldier with a bullet wound shouldnt be let out of medbay that soon, even if prescribed bed-rest- she also knows soap, and that man couldnt stand being put on bed rest even if he was in a fucking coma. as the visits get more and more frequent, the injuries more serious, she begins to worry.

price gives soap less to do, but that only makes the sergeant more agitated.

gaz asks soap for suggestions on what they do more often, but his friend only looks ever so slightly distressed and sticks with what they usually do.

kate gives the medbay staff instructions to make sure that soap is fully recovered before he goes off again, but they report back that he always manages to slip away before they can get an in depth gauge of how his wounds are healing.

“How are you feeling now?”             “Ravenous,” Michael answers curtly, beelining towards the garlic bread. He doesn’t exactly want to be rude to the kid but Jeremy had said he could have food and he would never in his life pass up the opportunity for a meal. He senses Jeremy communicating something to Gavin silently behind him but ignores them, gripping the back of a chair at the table and inhaling garlicky steam like he’s never taken a breath before.             “…Sorry, who’s this?” the person with dyed hair says, addressing Jeremy and Trevor.             “Oh, sorry,” Jeremy says quickly, before Michael can respond. “This is Michael. I told you guys about him. I told him he could have dinner with us since we always have leftover pasta.”             Michael can hear a challenge in his tone and is curious about the history behind it, though not curious enough to ask. The guy in the kitchen who looks like Trevor raises an eyebrow, appraising Michael, before waving the wooden spoon at him. “Alfredo,” he says. “Hi.”             The dyed-hair kid still looks suspiciously at Michael but introduces himself as Matt all the same.             “And that’s the crew!” Jeremy says, clapping his hands together and looking hopeful. “I’m glad you’ve all met each other.” Michael raises his eyebrow at Jeremy at that, but before he can question it Gavin bounces in the air suddenly.             “Oh! Michael!” he says, a little too loudly. “What size shoe are you, boy? We have spare shoes around here somewhere I’m sure; Alfredo is a real sneakerhead.”             “Hey!” Alfredo protests, bringing the pot of pasta over to the table and placing it gently on a trivet in the center. “Trevor has more than I do!”             “I do not!” Trevor says hotly. “Just because they’re easy to steal and lucrative to fence-“       “Guys!” Jeremy says loudly, interrupting what is clearly a regular argument between the two. “Guest? Dinner?”

Saw your White Noise gifset and was curious about your opinion on the movie. Was it any good? I haven't watched it yet, but I've been eager to see it.

It's good! Probably bites off more than it can chew, there is a severe lull after the "Part 2" section until the climax. Probably enjoyed the section that I can only describe as "National Lampoon's Vacation from Hell" the best. Excellent cinematography, acting, score. Worth a watch if you have any interest in seeing it at all. I am probably going to search out the book because I did enjoy the themes it was exploring and the film did feel a bit messy in the second half.

I just saw your post about your grandpa and I'm sorry for your loss 😔 but I also wanted to let you know that it's normal to feel frustrated and exhausted when dealing with someone that has those diseases. Many of the people I see in hospice deal with these conflicting feelings when their loved one passes, so I just wanted to let you know that it's ok to feel how you're feeling right now. Grieving comes in all shapes and sizes.

Oh I've become completely disillusioned by RT as a company after everything (it probably helps that I went through the same thing years ago when Dis/ney started to become even worse) like I am solely on the AH (and the occasional Funhaus) train now. Like the group AH has right now (minus a couple like u said) have so much GOOD happening in it and that makes me want to watch it all the more. I want them to succeed and just blow the socks off of everybody!

disney stuff is much easier to pirate, but harder to avoid because The Mouse has its grubby little hands on almost every single thing on earth. rt is the opposite because it's a way smaller company in comparison, and with that, any series that isn't rwby is harder to get through less official means. free trials exist, but they still require some of payment method to activate,and i don't want to use someone else's first account, so fuck that lol

I just started Cabinet of Curiosities tonight, got through the first episode and I'm already so in love with this series. The detail and artistry that was put into the episode was very 👌👌👌👌
