For people who didn’t want a repeat of the 2020 election, it looks we’ll have something similar to 2016. Trump vs a female Democrat candidate.
Clinton one of the reasons lost in 2016 is because at the time people thought their votes didn’t matter and avoided voting. 2020 and 2022 proved them wrong. Our votes do matter. In 2022, we prevented a Red Wave from taking place and recent races have been decided by just a handful of votes.
If voting weren’t important why do you think Republicans are trying so hard to make harder to register or access the polls or mail in our vote. They’re afraid of losing their power because that’s all they care about.
Let’s not repeat 2016 and finally put a woman in the Oval Office. After all, you couldn’t ask for a better candidate than our current VP who is also our first female Vice President.
I’m a teacher and I spent so much of my own money paying for students’ lunches.
The government already pays for some students’ free lunch- but not all.
Half of my students were on federal free lunch- but the other half were not. The students knew instantly who was poor and who wasn’t -some students needed free lunch but didn’t qualify. So, in an effort to help I gave some students my lunch number.
No child should be in “lunch debt.”
No child should go hungry because they don’t have lunch money.
I promise you- starving kids hurts educational outcomes far more than books about gay penguins.
non-voters and third party voters going around claiming "voting to save yourself is privilege" is actual literal emotional manipulation. it is the epitome of privilege to throw your vote away in hopes that the rapture, excuse me the "revolution," will come faster because you think you're going to survive it.
it takes an INSANE amount of privilege to think you would survive a second donald trump presidency.
if anyone tries to shame you away from voting because you're afraid of dying if trump gets re-elected, just know they are certain they would survive a second trump presidency.
By the way, even if you fully plan to vote for Biden in November (because Trump would be worse and has declared that if elected he would ban Palestinians from entering the US x, x, x, x)...
You can and I would argue should call or email Biden or whatever other Democrats represent you and just straight up lie about it. Tell them "I'm a constituent, and I've voted for you in x number of elections, and thanks to your support for the genocide of the Palestinian people, I will never, ever vote for you again."
Politicians, Democrats, and especially Biden need a fire lit under their asses, because the vast majority of them clearly aren't going to do shit without one. Or, worse, be like Biden and actively be the reason that Israel can continue its genocide on a political, monetary, and military level.
Tell Biden and other politicians that you will never vote for them again. It doesn't matter if it's true. It will help pressure US politicians to stop this genocide, and therefore it's the right thing to do.
Obviously this also applies to other countries where politicians are supporting Israel's genocide, especially countries that have cut funding to UNRWA (list here).
