So I've seen people in the fandom do it for their country, I loved so much the idea I did the same (i'm very influencable).
(Based on the lore/maps of the webcomic "Stand Still Stay Silent")
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if I did know it could not fit the canon, I tried my best to do the more accurate (non-canon) lore for french territory.
I will maybe do a part 2 but not now, I will talk more about the infected and the Basques language.
The Tarasques are the french equivalent of the Trolls, I didn't have the energy to add other pages of information. (one day maybe)
I also wanted to mention the Dahu in the type of infected beast. (Yes there are Dahus, and that's is the best thing to know about infected beast, THERE ARE DAHUS INFECTED BEAST PEOPLE.)
______________________________________________________________
(Also can't spell in english so that's not very well written lol)
(Please note I'm just doing this for fun and it's a very rough/sketchy idea and I didn't take time to well adapt everything or even have a stylise coherence)

Pic du Pleiades: Near dawn on November 19 the Pleiades stood in still dark skies over the French Pyrenees. But just before sunrise a serendipitous moment was captured in this single 3 second exposure; a bright meteor streak appeared to pierce the heart of the galactic star cluster. From the camera's perspective, star cluster and meteor were poised directly above the mountain top observatory on the Pic du Midi de Bigorre. And though astronomers might consider the Pleiades to be relatively close by, the grain of dust vaporizing as it plowed through planet Earth's upper atmosphere actually missed the cluster's tight grouping of young stars by about 400 light-years. While recording a night sky timelapse series, the camera and telephoto lens were fixed to a tripod on the Tour-de-France-cycled slopes of the Col du Tourmalet about 5 kilometers from the Pic du Midi. The spiral in psychology means that when you make a spiral you always come over the same point where you have been before, but never really the same, it is above or below, inside, outside, so it means growth.
Die Spirale bewegt sich weg vom ursprünglichen Ort zu einem anderen, kehrt aber immer an denselben Ort zurück, jedoch einen Bruchteil darüber: sich stets wegbewegend und immer wieder zum selben zurückkehrend. Gleich und nicht-gleich, also wachsend.
—Carl Gustav Jung, Traumanalyse. Nach Aufzeichnungen der Seminare 1928–1930 (1991)

The time of death and ancestral reverence is here. Even though the time of honoring your ancestors is all year round, the fall and winter seasons are the time of death, and as the earths foliage dies and transforms we can see the change more and more each day.
The changes to the earth at this time of year are just like like the changes to the human body as death prepares you for your long journey.
Death and the dead are topics I have always been fascinated with. As a medium and trance channeler, I have always had a close connection to the dead and my ancestors. When my Gigi passed away a few years ago, I felt even closer to the spirit world than ever.
The pictures above are of my Grandmother, it shows the stages of her life until the end. How the slow but inevitable decline changed her form, demeanor, and personality.
My grandmother was a strong loving and caring Neapolitan American Woman, and she is the one who taught me how to love.
Working with the Ancestors is a huge part of my practice and life. If you are new to working with ancestors or you would like to get and idea on how an Italian American Folk Witch honors and works with her ancestors then join me for my new class Saturday October 21 at 7pm.

I do not miss my old school. But I miss the perfect blend of Spanish/French culture. I felt whole there, not like I had to shut down a part of my identity to "fit in" and not feel like I'm only being seen as the "other".
