OKAY FINALLY GETTING TO THIS GONNA THROW IT IN MY QUEUE FOR THE MORNING

Psychic: Is your f/o good at reading your mood and/or helping you feel better? What about vice versa?

I think he can read a room faaaairly well. However, as much as I love Piers, which is very very much, he is so bad at saying the right thing to make Manda feel better. I imagine Piers as more of a "talk to me, I'll listen, I will not know what to say back" kind of person until you get closer to him. Manda, however, is a little too good at listening to people's problems and wanting to find a solution. Empathy is a BITCH and she will just... Start crying for someone... And has cried over things Piers has gone through when he hasn't he just gets SO confused about it in the beginning. So it's turned into a mutual "let's just sit on the couch and cuddle until neither of us are sad anymore" thing that they do whenever one or both of them are upset. It's what happens when you're emotional wrecks on opposite sides of the spectrum <3

Rock: What kinds of gifts do you get each other for your anniversaries/birthdays/etc?

Manda buys Piers an entire case of monster rehab and begs him to stop drinking the green shit. It tends to just be small things that get exchanged! Amanda will see something while they're out and about and go "oh hey Piers would probably like that" and now unfortunately his room has at least 5 different Galarian Zigzagoon plushies in various places in his room because Manda puppy dog eyes him whenever he goes to put them in his closet. Piers has given Manda a few guitar picks he can't use anymore as just like... Little trinkets. He'll also cave and let Manda take pictures of and with him since that makes them happy. Tbh they are definitely more of a "spend quality time together" kind of couple where they both just watch TV or they just end up doing parallel play. Just kinda... Doing their own things while in the same room. That's the best gift, honestly.

Dark: Who is more protective of the other? Give us an example of a time one of you protected the other.

Okay, listen. You CANNOT play SwSh's postgame and not see how much this poor man fucking WORRIES about the people he cares about (sometimes without being logical about it). Dude is overprotective as FUCK. Tbh can't really think of any like??? Particular protective moments, but Piers has definitely just kinda unslouched while standing behind Manda and glared at people cause dude can give off such a threatening aura.

I still remember where we got my copy of Conquest, too!! My local target, as an end of the (school) year gift from my parents!!

My sister and I got Nintendo Power magazines back in the day, and let me tell you ... those things got us HYPED for Conquest. I still have every copy that ever mentioned the game--it's history, now. /hj

Anyway, my sister and I were super excited for the game and were out shopping with them, and we happened to see it at the check out aisle--a whole stinking display. We ended up each getting a copy.

My sister actually lost hers at one point in our old tent trailer, but it turned up again right before my parents sold the trailer--

I ended up getting super obsessed with it again once I stumbled upon Orochi Warriors 3 Ultimate and rediscovering the characters through their original source--legit got that game because of Hanbei (my beloved sleepy boy ... my ORIGINAL sleepy boy).

Then it spiraled into me discovering Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Greenleaf is my favorite kingdom (battle theme is soothing but also nostalgic as heck to me), followed by Chrysalia, Fontaine, and Avia.

Also my favorite Warlords were Motonari, Masamune, and Hanbei--

Sorry, this is just ... one of those special games to me. Wrote fanfic for it that will never see the light of day (it was a high school AU since I was in high school at the time, and I assigned all the DW9 characters their own Perfect Links ... even made lore for an entirely separate region that they lived in).

You think I'm bad about Project Moon? When I was a teen it was Conquest. /lh

YOU GET MEEEEE!!!

There was just a certain magic to Conquest! Especially waiting the months leading up to it. I remember every time I had a chance to be on the computer I was scavenging for any information I could get about it before release.

I'm so glad someone else got to have the Being Excited With Your Sibling experience about it because it's just so... specific is all I can think of to describe it. My older sister and I legit would not stop talking about it the days leading up to getting it and then while we played the game. I remember getting stuck on Ignis of all places and getting way too excited when I finally kicked Hideyoshi's ass.

Agreed Greenleaf and Fontaine are absolutely beautiful, but my other favorites have to be Spectra and Nixtorm! And for characters... Masamune, Oichi, and Motochika hands down.

Honestly whenever I hear about people getting into the Warriors games via Conquest, it just makes me so giddy!!! The Warriors games (specifically Dynasty Warriors) has had such a special place in my heart since I was a kid. You with Conquest as a teen was me with Warriors games from like age 6 to age 16 kfhqkdhwkwjs. If I wasn't playing pokemon or Etrian Odyssey it was usually a Warriors game.

And listen!!! There's nothing to apologize for!!! I LOVE hearing about everyone's interests current, new, and old!!! And also just... Love hearing the opinions of other Conquest fans as well!!!

And that fic concept sounds amazing and I'm honestly holding out on a small shred of hope the Koei and Gamefreak will team up again for a Dynasty Warriors version of the game.

Oh I am SO glad I'm not alone in that! And honestly I think that's impressive as hell. It's such a feeling of accomplishment when you prove a game guide wrong. Like it's super relatable because I remember back when I was doing my first run of EO2U, every guide for the final boss said that you couldn't do it with the story mode party's default classes and I was not having it jrkqhoepuw

So I proceeded to be stuck on the final boss for almost a month, but I did it.

Oh and I've been silently rooting for you on the sidelines to beat WhiteNight and I'm super happy for you that you got it down!!!!

Regarding your last post ... yes. I am putting all the Librarians up on the shelf. The only people with permission to touch them are my mutuals.

I do not trust the fandom given how complex the characters are and how they (the fandom) seem to just magnify a singular trait of a character and make it their whole personality. Usually for the sake of shipping them.

It's tiresome.

(Sorry, this is a topic that I feel the need to weigh in on every time I see it--it's just so frustrating!!)

Okay, so ... I'm a bit late to this ask game because I was at work, but since you offered me someone, I wanted to do the same ...

And, looking at your list, I saw Linhardt. And you know what ... since Linhardt was the one that sort of led me to liking Netzach, I'm obligated to set you guys up. /lh

He's depressed, true. He's been through it, what with having experienced three different lives at this point. But he's sleepy and seems like a good snuggle/cuddle buddy! He can be a bit of a downer, but he really does become a bit more energetic by LoR--he still would rather sleep than tend any of his responsibilities, though.

And I know for a fact that when he likes someone he's more talkative and open with them. He's a lot more upbeat than he was at L. Corp.

As for hobbies, he wants to be an artist! So when he's not snoozing or slacking off (usually with a drink or two), he likes to build jigsaw puzzles and paint on them!

What do you and Linhardt like to do for fun? Besides reading and you listening to him go on about his Crest research, of course--both very good hobbies, to be sure! I hope he's made some breakthroughs ... research can be pretty tough.

Aaaaa hi Sarah!! It's no worries, honestly, and I'm feeling a lot better now!

But for Lin and I, I love to bake and he loves sweets, so we bake together a lot! I do most of the work and he's mostly there for moral support, but he's my favorite taste-tester and I wouldn't have it any other way. Honestly, it's a great way to spend time together and chat about the day while I make some of our favorite pastries.

Trust me, when he makes a breakthrough I'm usually the first to know. It's one of the rare times he'll jump out of his seat to come running to find me so he can tell me all about it! Besides, he works at his own pace and is honestly brilliant in regards to research, so he definitely doesn't let the difficulty get to him. When it's something he's interested in and loves, he gives it his full attention and 110%.
