LET’S HIBERNATE AFTERWARDS A pause from the outside forces

The devil's in the details, but you got a friend in me.

One of my most favorite tracks from Taylor Swift’s folklore told me that life will fuck you up, but you’ve got friends to make it a little bit bearable. Then you continue on living because no matter how heavy life gets, you’ll look forward to those lighter days when the most precious souls in your life are around. Sometimes even them will give you hell, but that is just part of the thrill.

Would it be enough if I could never give you peace?

The days would come when you’ll have enough of those social encounters and you’ll crave for some peace of mind. A little alone time that makes you whole again after spending days sharing pieces of you to other people. Perhaps, that was what happened this February. I met with different circles of friends, enjoyed my time with them. I worked as an Assistant Director again (since the pandemic) for a friend’s short film, and enjoyed that one too. Then I have seen myself longing for some time to just do nothing and regain the silence I owed myself after long weeks of clamor.

So yes, I know that this calm wouldn’t last for a long time, but I am still proud that I gave it to myself. Life is life no matter what. The summer and the blues would come and go, just like the changing of the seasons. But maybe it is up to us on how to understand life as it is, especially with our own. February still gives the evening breeze, but sooner or later the sun will shine brighter than today, and I also have to brace myself for that.
