Man I adore the friendship these two share and how much they elevate each others' character arcs of learning to open up about their feelings and be honest with people, how silly they are together, and how much respect they both have for each other even if they have unconventional ways of showing it. I love seeing two unlikely characters coming together and bonding and becoming each others' support. I love when men and women in fiction get to have a friendship without it being romanticized even a little bit. I love how Akane finds a friend who sees her for her feelings and passion. I love how Fuyuhiko finds a friend who's unabashedly unafraid of him but still takes him seriously. I just overall love their dynamic and find it to be one of the nicest genuine platonic friendships in the series. And everyone else does too, right
