"Scraps II" Mixed media on wooden mushroom Approx. 6.25" tall

Here's my piece for the "Cluster 2" show, which runs from April 5th—27th at Nucleus House in Portland. Each artist in the show was given a blank wooden mushroom to work on and I decided to once again transform my mushroom into an apple! 🍏🐞

This was so fun to see come together. I especially like the fruit sticker and happy apple logo that I came up with 😃

Hey everyone! I'm alive (no foolin'!) -- I'm just super busy finishing up some big projects. Here's a little preview of one of them: a solo gallery show opening this summer at Nucleus Portland! More details to come soon, but I hope you've all been well (and apologizes to the people I owe replies to, I've been bad about checking messages 😅)

Gallery show!! "Keeping the Whimsy in Winter"

Ta da everybody!! In order to keep my own spirits up, and hopefully the spirits of others, it is – once again – gallery show time.

Since this show is a collection of what I’d had in previous shows, for the most part, I’m really leaning on the vibe of my work in general – just that resonance. Why do I do what I do?

As usual, January is peak (or at least the beginning of) seasonal affective disorder for me, usually, and the only manner in which this round of it is unusual is that it started early this season. It is hard to find hope, in the dark. So I hope, that having this up in a well-travelled area (this gallery is in an office building/hotel, so people come through the space often, whether they mean to or not!), that this will crowbar some willingness-to-believe-in-the-possibility-of-“better” into at least SOME of the spirits that stop and look. Or even just glance as they pass by.

At least, in this moment, I know it has done so in myself already. Even if it is just for this moment.

The show is up now through the end of January, so if you’re Ithaca-local or Ithaca-driving-distance-local, hope you come take a look!! 💗

And whatever is going on, please please please find the magic in your life – even just small glimmers of it. Winter is a beast, but we can endure.

WOW x WOW presents 'The Becoming', a group art exhibition of new artworks featuring over 90 original artworks by more than 70 international artists.

The online exhibition opens Friday March 8 at 7pm UK on the WOW x WOW website and will be on view until March 29 2024.
