While we're on the topic of food...
Options are based on reasons ppl generally give me for why they dislike a particular food or ingredient.
Texture is not a consideration here.

i don't think danganronpa's class trial minigames were so bad. in fact, we quite enjoyed them. only in the third trial did they truly cause any misery, and for that, there is little to be said. ah, but bullet time battles, you might say, do you not hate those? no, in fact, we got rather good at it, and found them pleasant breaks from the more thought-intensive modes. the interactivity and gameyness of danganronpa is an asset, in our experience

What Kasslynian food would you most like to eat?
Earlier this chapter someone was hauling around a sombrero-sized roasted mushroom stuffed with seafood and cut into slices. I'd have me some of that. I'd also love to try one of the Aldish desserts made with Frost Giants, or a fenescue soda from Sharteshane, or even Ruffles' auntie's watery fish pie, since it was made with so much love.
I'm not sure I'd do a strawberry fish. I usually compare it to pretty innocuous things on Earth but the gameyness of the organs and eyes right there so close to the tasty meat.... i dunnooooo.... I'd eat it to be polite - I have stomached balut in the past - but I might not like it.

What are your thoughts on Geoffrey's Cooking Show?
Susan dabbed her lips with an embroidered napkin before unleashing a disgust that would make a particular surly earth dwelling TV show chef tremble with joy.
"TASTELESS AND MEDIOCRE! HIS COOKING TASTES LIKE ASS! ITS ALWAYS CANNED THIS CANNED THAT, PACKET THIS PACKET THAT. IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO MIX AND MEASURE OUR OWN DAMN SPICES YOURE NOT A COOK YOURE A YOUNGLING WHO JUST GOT THEIR LAZY ASS BOOTED OUT OF THEIR PARENTS HOUSE AND YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO MAKE ANYTHING EXCEPT IN THAT BUZZ BOX CALLED MICROWAVE.
"The last thing he cooked it was some new take on a classic but he drowned it in Beezlejuice sours to 'take out the gameyness'. Puh! And he calls himself a cannibal? That rump he cooked three weeks ago was so overdone it made Mammons recycled acts look innovative and new. The boy sucks on digits for so long Mammon would have time to be as twiggy as that hose boy Fizzeroli!"

@jadeyharls
- A large container is delivered, smelling lavish. Upon opening, a hefty meal would be revealed, roast lamb with a grape preserve glaze to cut the gameyness a bit, sauteed potatos and asparagus, a generous helping of a different red meat tenderloin (that if asked, he would casually inform is kirin), and some colorful corn -

Best UAE Dedicated Server for Gaming
When it comes to dedicated servers for gaming in the UAE, you'll want to prioritize factors like low latency, high performance, reliable network connectivity, and robust DDoS protection. Here are a few hosting providers that are well-regarded for their gaming-specific offerings:
Tumblr media
Gameye: Gameye specializes in game server hosting and offers dedicated servers optimized for gaming performance. They have a presence in various locations globally, including the Middle East, which can provide low-latency gaming experiences for players in the UAE.
GTXGaming: GTXGaming is another provider that offers dedicated gaming servers with data centers in multiple locations, including the Middle East. They provide high-performance hardware, DDoS protection, and 24/7 support tailored for gaming communities.
Vultr: While not specifically gaming-focused, Vultr offers high-performance dedicated servers with data centers in the Middle East (including the UAE). Their servers can be customized for gaming purposes, and they provide fast SSD storage and low-latency network connections.
AWS GameLift: If you're looking for a more scalable solution, AWS GameLift is worth considering. It's a managed service by Amazon Web Services designed specifically for hosting multiplayer games. While AWS data centers in the Middle East are located in Bahrain rather than the UAE, they can still provide low-latency gaming experiences for players in the region.
Best Dedicated Server in UAE
Microsoft Azure for Gaming: Microsoft Azure also offers dedicated server hosting options suitable for gaming. With data centers in the UAE, Azure can provide low-latency gaming experiences and scalable infrastructure for hosting multiplayer games.
Before choosing a dedicated server provider for gaming in the UAE, consider your specific requirements, such as the number of players, game type, budget, and scalability needs. Additionally, research each provider's reputation, server performance, DDoS protection measures, and customer support quality to ensure a smooth gaming experience for you and your community.

Xylography
Current evidence dates the word xylography to 1816, but it is linked to printing practices that are much older. In fact, the oldest known printed works (from Japan and China in the 8th and 9th centuries) were made by xylography, a printing technique that involves carving text in relief upon a wooden block, which is then inked and applied to paper. This method of wood-block printing appeared in Europe in the 14th century, and eventually inspired Johannes Gutenberg to create individual and reusable pieces of type out of metal. These days, xylographycan also describe the technique of engraving wood for purely artistic purposes. English speakers picked up the word from French, where it was formed as a combination of xyl-, meaning "wood," and -graphie, which denotes writing in a specified manner.

ok so, some context for this. historically, in terms of shooters, my tastes go two directions: boomer/movement shooters (e.g. half life, tf2, turok, doom), and simulation shooters (pretty much just the s.t.a.l.k.e.r games plus mods), and for the longest time i thought i fucking hated FPS games when my first exposure to them was call of duty on xbox 360. then, i'd play a shooter, and think "ok, i hate shooters except this", until i just kept playing good shooters until i realized "ohhh, i don't hate shooters, i hate call of duty", and retrospectively i think i have a more well thought out reason for it now that i've played (and hated) the CS games. so, to me, COD and CS occupy a shitty middleground of shooters, where the movement and shooting is realistic enough to be fucking boring, but it's not realistic enough to be an interesting and immersive simulation. to be fair, i'm the kinda guy who thinks scout tf2 moves too slow, but by god do i just like to go fast in games, and believe it or not i like it when if you aim your gun, the bullet goes where you aim it, not some bullshit spread radius you've gotta memorize for efficient shooting. meanwhile, stalker, it's not necessarily realistic per se, but it feels grounded in a way that so many games don't achieve simply due to how effectively your guns are simulated, how they'll jam if you don't take care of them, how there's all sorts of real life ammo types, how you can lean around corners and duck into cover without some bullshit chest high walled cover mechanics, the fact that there's so many different ways you can die, that you have to bandage yourself so you don't bleed out. it's video gamey, sure, but it balances that gameyness with a certain degree of groundedness that makes it all pop. meanwhile, call of duty is just kinda... eh? it's not realistic, which to me would normally be a good thing in games, because i feel like pursuing realism to the detriment of fun is an extremely bad thing, but that's the thing, right? it does pursue realism to the detriment of fun, except it half asses it and doesn't go all the way, leading to something that feels realistic to a dumbass 14 year old but not to anybody with half a brain. and that's not even mentioning how most of these shitass pseudo-realism kinds of FPSs tend to be overly glorifying of imperialist world powers. also? playing FPSs on a controller reeks, that probably colored my tastes in regards to my first brush with FPSs (though i enjoyed turok on N64, so eh)
