Timeline

What is a Big Bang?

A mass-collaborative event, where writers and artists team up to have fun and create. We are doing the "traditional" version, where writers sign up first and write something, and artists sign up later to create a piece that matches.

What is a pinch-hitter?

Sometimes a writer or artist cannot complete their work, or the numbers don't match up, and someone needs to step in. Be aware that you might be creating things on VERY short notice. If we don’t have enough pinch hitters, and the numbers don’t match up, then partners may be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. So, it’s such an important job!

Who can participate?

Anyone! Regardless of skill or age, everyone is welcome. The only condition is that you must have a tumblr account.

Can I be a writer and an artist?

Yes, but be aware you will be doing a lot of work. You cannot be matched with yourself.

What if I can’t finish in time?

Let me know! The deadlines are more progress markers than anything definite, take your time. I just need to know for logistic reasons.

Where do I sign up?

Writer sign-ups will be up by the end of the day, the link will appear here. Writers will include a summary for their story. This sign up will be open for two weeks. Artist sign ups open after that, and each artist will select their preference to be matched with. This doesn’t guarantee what story you’ll be matched with!! Pinch-hitters can sign up at any point, there will be an option on each form.

Writer requirements

Aim for at least 1k to give the artist something to work with.

Respond to every check-in. It’s okay to fall behind, but I need to know that you’re still participating.

Notify the blog if you can’t get it finished on time. It’s fine, but I just need to know!

All art is required to have an image description

Hi folks, so I’m aware there have been a few issues regarding contacting my blogs. Tumblr thinks I’m a bot. Could all artists and writers who haven’t yet sent an update please send their update as an ask to this blog? If you send it privately, I can respond without everybody seeing it.

Everyone tagged has yet to give an update, if you sent it after my messages broke, then I cannot view it at all.
