Okay so I’m watching ‘The Society’

I’m late I know sue me! I did watch the first ep when it came out but don’t ask me why I didn’t continue because I don’t know, and yes I know it was renewed then cancelled, but I was bored and think I saw a tiktok of a scene so just decided to watch it all.

And I have this to say… if they all knew that Campbell was a Psychopathy and knew how disgusting he was from Sam’s story how come no one ever checked up on Elle? Like how were they not concerned? Especially Sam, who out of all of them knew exactly what Campbell is capable of?

I keep thinking about the execution scene and how Allie’s gun is the only one seen fired.

Then, when it cuts to Dewey’s body, there’s blood coming from the left side of his head, indicating that he was shot from the right side (ie Allie’s side). We only really hear from Luke and Jason about who killed Dewey but Allie says nothing (you could argue the “he made me kill him” line as her saying something but I also think she could be speaking in a broader term there). This leads me to believe that she shot the bullet that ended Dewey’s life. Which brings me to another, possibly more heartbreaking point.

That would have been Grizz.

As we saw, Grizz backed out after the first attempt and Allie took his place with his gun. Gordie said only one gun had the real bullets so it’s not like it was a randomized assortment. One gun had the actual bullets the entire time so only that gun would be the real one. This fucks me up a lot because throughout Dewey’s arrest and trial, people kept talking about how they had no clue who he was or never even noticed him. Except Grizz. Grizz makes one or two off handed comments at first but never really talks about their friendship or if they really had one. In the execution scene though, Dewey calls out to Grizz as a buddy and Grizz proceeds to get sick.

All I can think about is that maybe they were acquaintances or pals in high school. Dewey was kind of nerdy and Grizz loves to learn so maybe they bonded along the lines? I could only imagine the toll it would have taken and how much different Grizz’s story would be had he actually shot and killed what I can only assume was a friend of his. Yes I’m aware Dewey was a terrible human and did awful things but in situations where you’re close to someone, you still can have mixed feelings when it comes to cutting them out of your life (or in the Society’s case: killing bad guys). Anyways I have many theories as to what could have happened if Grizz stayed on the firing squad but this a very long post so I guess HMU if y’all wanna theorize together??
