I agree with you

I don't think Gate is some sort of egoist or whatever

I think he’s just the one in charge of everything, an intellectual and he’s quite caring, but just serious

Finally more people who don't think Gate is egotistical.

Like yes, I can understand why people would think of him like that in X6 or in general, but I personally don't believe he's an egoist.

Moreso like a person highly confident in his achievements and self.
