Sorry but regardless of how many queer women will tell me that the word "d*ke" doesn't bother them, that doesn't change the fact that many ARE still bothered by it. The bar can call events whatever they like, and I don't have an issue with that. The issue I have is more with how they handled the feedback. They nitpicked the woman's comment calling Darren and Mia a straight couple instead of explaining their position on the word eloquently and standing by it, agreeing to disagree with her.

I think they did an excellent job of explaining their thoughts and motivations.  At the end of the day, TSG is a private business and as such they can have any night they wish to. It isn’t for fans across the globe who will never attend to comment on it nor does it have to make everyone happy. TSG is pushing boundaries -it is what Mia and Darren do. Boob Soup wasn’t named after female breasts for the same reason that Hooters was.  It is about pushing boundaries and changing up what a “straight bar” is all about.
