trans asf to be a clone.
oh you were biologically constructed to be somebody that you can never become?
and when you look in the mirror you can only yearn to be seen as yourself rather than who everybody expects you to be? interesting.

THANK YOU
Queer 👏 people 👏 are 👏 not 👏 all 👏 fucking 👏 activists 👏
Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities
Stop trying to back us into a corner so you can justify your discrimination on the basis that we don’t know what we’re talking about or can’t “defend” ourselves to you
Stop treating every queer person that stands up and says “I want to be treated like a person” as if they’re an activist
Cut that bullshit out
Marginalised people just want to exist and be happy
I don’t know everything, and that doesn’t make me undeserving of your respect or my human rights you fucker
I don’t even owe you the stuff I do know- I still am entitled to basic fucking respect
TLDR; Queer people shouldn’t have to be historians or scientists for you to not be a fucking dick

let's hear it for the nonbinary folks who:
don't present androgynously
use "binary" pronouns in any capacity
identify partially with a binary gender
have a "gendered" name
don't experience body dysmorphia
don't experience gender dysphoria
DO experience gender dysphoria/body dysmorphia but aren't sure what gender or body would suit them
just experience body/gender apathy instead
can't be open about their gender identity yet
you're all absolutely valid.
don't ever feel like you're "not nonbinary enough" because you absolutely are! 💖

A cis woman tells me that maybe she should transition to gain male privilege as I'm recovering from getting beaten up in the men's bathrooms.
I tell her to be my guest and give me a call when she gets her jaw broken, I always carry a first aid kit and a pepper spray.
She calls me a misogynistic asshole.
A cis man tells me that he'd sure love some T.
Gave him my prescription and best of luck with the constant shortages and getting denied.
He calls me a pussy.
I'm fighting for my life and reproductive rights. I get told to get off women's fights, that it's not about me, like I shed my womb after my first T shot.
I search for support groups for SA victims, and I'm stuck in the same “women/NBs only”. Still shooting my shot, send an application. I introduce myself. Never get a call back.
I go to a trans night. Say I go by he/him. Get told back “yeah, that's how we all start !” by a trans woman. I'm too exhausted, I get up and I leave.
I hang out with my friends, one of them drunkenly says masculinity is a prison we must learn to escape. She gets rows of applause. Back to drinking alone.
Yes I could explain it. But who'd you rather be ? A delusional girl or a man made threat ?Or it could be better, I could just not exist ! And we'd bleach my corpse and I'd become a casualty. Not an F, ot an M, a W for Wound and for Wrong.
I put a candle on a single cupcake, 2 years on HRT. I blow it in the dark. Curtains closed like casket.

Great news - as of June 9, 2025, Canton's research on gender detachment has been published in Socius! It's completely free to read, so you should definitely check it out. Canton also has a free substack newsletter where he talks about his research on gender and sexuality (especially asexuality) - I've been subscribed for a few years, and it's always quality.

Idk what trans man needs to hear this but you're NOT evil or disgusting for being a man. You do NOT have to suffer for the sins of the patriarchy committed by cis dudes. Being a man doesn't invalidate the misogyny you experienced growing up or experience now. Being a man doesn't mean you deserve to be isolated. Being a man doesn't mean you're inherently predatory or scary. You didn't "choose" this, and finding your true self is NOT "betraying the community" because you happen to be a man and/or masculine rather than a woman and/or feminine. You ARE allowed to be upset when people "affirm" your gender by malgendering you.
You DO deserve a community that uplifts you. You DO deserve to experience trans joy. You DO deserve to have your voices heard and your struggles recognized. Wanting the bare minimum of solidarity is NOT "making everything about trans men".

Nonbinary activist Toby Sinclair speaking their truth 🤗
This is Jim Sinclair, at the time going by Toby. They are a neuter, asexual and intersex enban, and a seminal autism activist. They have been an educator on transneutral nonbinary identity, non-binary transition, the anti binarist position and intersex issues for decades. This is an interview with them from the 1980s, talking about their experience as a non-binary/genderqueer person at a time where the community was just coming together.
"In a 1997 introduction to the Intersex Society of North America, Sinclair wrote, "I remain openly and proudly neuter, both physically and socially."
Nonbinary people have always existed, and will always exist. Happy Trans History Week! 💛🤍💜🖤

No such thing as a girly or a boyish lifestyle.
If you want, you can reblog and add another factor of life that is needlessly binarised that should be called out. Natural life lacks binaries. Human life lacks binaries. Binary gender roles are ridiculous and ludicrously imposed on society. Free yourself of them, whether you are non-binary or not.

Reasons why someone may identify as bi lesbian (a valid identity!):
a bi woman who experiences rare attraction to men but never enough to date one.
a bi woman who was attracted to a man only once in her life, so he is like an exception.
a woman who is bisexual but monoromantic towards women, or biromantic but monosexual towards women.
a bi woman who doesn’t date men and doesn’t intend to ever.
a lesbian who formerly was bisexual and now her identity has shifted, and she wants her label to reflect both.
a late-in-life lesbian who is married to a man but is comfortable staying with her husband because of their unique love/companionship.
a poly lesbian whose partner’s partners (whom they may rendezvous with) may rarely include men.
a lesbian who does not identify as “monosexual” or “monoromatic” despite only being attracted to non-men, since she feels that she is attracted to multiple non-men genders.
a lesbian in a relationship with a trans man.
a transmasc lesbian who dates other transmascs as well as women.
An older bisexual woman who moved through pre-separatism lesbian circles (back when “lesbian” was used by all sapphics as an umbrella term!)
… and many more!
*I use “woman” and “she/her” but this may apply to any genderqueer sapphic as well!
Yes, many of these experiences can be described by using one of “bi” or “lesbian”, rather than both in combination. Lesbianism includes many non-men genders and trans women! Bisexuality includes all genders including trans folks! Lesbianism is considered monosexual identity, but also in some ways multisexual, and “bi lesbian” is often used by those who strongly identify with being mspec. Labels are for our comfort in identifying ourselves and our lived experiences, as well as to accurately communicate our identities to others. We shouldn’t police them! Queer people are deviant and complex by nature! Rigid rules are for the patriarchy, not us. Labeling conventions are fully arbitrary and we should prioritise what will maximise queer folks’ happiness.
Folks spend a lot of (misplaced) energy hating on the label “bi lesbian” and want to eradicate it by claiming it is TERF propaganda—however that’s not very nuanced (there are queer elders who use this term—should we really have the audacity to tell them how to live?), and ironically it’s gender essentialist in and of itself to try to put people in a box. We should remember that bisexuals and lesbians originally were all just “lesbians” (ie in the same way we use “sapphic” as an umbrella term today), and it was TERF rhetoric in second-wave feminism that resulted in lesbian separatism. A simple label used by a tiny minority can’t cause all kinds of scary lesbophobia, biphobia, and transphobia (as it is, endosex allocishetero people can barely tell bisexuality from lesbianism anyway and don’t know a thing about trans people either ;n;)—If it is a possibility, that’s our job as a community to fight back misinformation. :)
