it makes me so sad that we're never going to have good romcoms ever again, like we'll never have another notting hill or when harry met sally or how to lose a guy in 10 days. and it's all because we're so intent on casting hot people with the charm factor of a cardboard box. like a huge chunk of movies now look so immensely picture perfect--super ultra hd camera, flawless skin, flawless hair, blinding white teeth and absolutely no silly little flaws to the character, no being camp or stupid just for the sake of it. and jfc don't even get me started on the writing. it's like writers hate romcoms and purposefully want to ruin them!!

For the record ofmd s2 is going to air and we’re all going to be reminded that this is a romcom and it’s not going to be nearly as tragic and complex and heartbreaking as we’ve been theorizing and I’m STILL going to love all the tragic and complex post-s1 fanfics and I’m going to keep rereading my favourite ones long after the series is over

Something about the specific ambience of certain psx era games, the stilted quality of models and how they are animated, but especially the sheer sense of darkness, the insufficiency of lighting sources to properly convey the warmth of a flame painting color across a pitch black canvas. And then you toss in a synthy, industrial score, which creeps in your ears and sounds a thousand times louder if such a game lacks any form of voiceover, downright foreboding as it underscores this vacuum where words are conveyed by text if at all. But there's this underlying sense of disconnection, like these awkward 3D puppets exist independently of the signs and signifiers intended to lend them narrative meaning. It's this deep sense of emptiness, the oppressive loneliness born within the trappings of technical limitations and experimentation. It's fascinatingly discomforting. Disorientingly, hauntingly irresistible

I've never heard any of these in my life, I haven't the faintest clue of who even half these bands are.
