When worshipping a god, e.g. Freyja, in an earlier continental context (e.g. 100-500 CE), would you not call her Frija instead? Using the Norse name for a completely different era seems wrong to me.
Idk I switched to Continental Germanic gods, but I still see people in this community using Norse names and paradigms and I'm...confused. Do they just not mind, or am I missing something?

Isis of the Suebi In the book Germania, by Tacitus, he reports on the worship of Isis by the Suebi tribe. It's common belief that this interpretatio romana is likely in regards to the worship of Freyja/Frigg. It is my belief that Freyja and Isis are syncretic with one another. I incorperated some celtic and modern symbology into the art as well, such as the symbol of Awen, as I consider myself to be a druid, and the triple goddess symbol to represent unity of the goddesses/divine feminine.

As a pagan myself, so many pagans need to stop appropriating history to ft the narrative that paganism is somehow a superior religion.
And I mean this for like... ignoring that queer people were NOT accepted in Ancient Greece, relationships between grown men and boys were. So the love stories about how Achilles and Patroclus were in love, sure they were together, but one of them was a kid, they would not have been together with both as adults.
The superiority complex really sucks ass, because you don't need it, it causes the pipeline from paganism to alt right behaviour and beliefs. The superiority complex is inherently problematic and this isn't about being a reconstructionist or whatever, but we need to listen to history to avoid making statements that support some sort of moral superiority that straight up doesn't exist.
Another thing thats useful to accept, a lot of the songs we say were initially pagan were not. Because pagan was a slur used initially by the romans to insult and persecute those who believed in multiple deities, no pagan from the times where paganism was culturally accepted would be calling themselves pagan, the word is a modern reclamation.
Pagans are not better or worse than any other religious group.
(To clarify, yes of course pagans were prosecuted by Christians, thats not the debate, the problem is the superiority complex because it just leads to the alt right pipelone)

A Poem for the Eclipse
By me :)
"The Treacherous Wolf has broken free.
In a mad dash, he pursues Sunna,
the Shining Maiden.
His eyes burn with hunger,
His howling breath is like the wind.
With teeth gleaming like hunter's blade
The Cosmic Wolf catches lovely Sunna
between his awful jaws.
The mortal peoples pause,
with bated breath.
Some pray, others cry out,
Some remain in silence.
The Gods move.
Our are Gods of Action!
King Thunor, with Your
unending strength
pry open the jaws of the beast!
Noble Tiw,
Brave and virtuous forever!
Reach into the maw of the Wolf,
lend a hand to Sunna, Who blesses mortals.
Wōden, Father of Gods and men,
Master of All, strike true!
Bind the Wolf, send him
howling back to his den.
The Immortal Gods
help trembling Sunna into Her cart.
Her Daughter anoints Her with fragrant oils,
whispering sweet words.
The mortals rejoice, and order prevails!"

If this goes on I'll become a polytheist of the Norse-Germanic pantheon in a modern interpretation without the nazi bullshit but with a very big side of yoga

Reaching out to gods for the first time really is as simple as respectfully knocking on their door and saying hello. I've never gotten a bad result and 9 times out of 10, I've gotten something back from them - even if it's just a simple sense of vibes.

Invocation of the Smiler
[[written by me]]
Hail to the Smiler, the One who grins
With sneers and scars adorning Their lips.
We invite You, child of Laufey.
Hail to the Trickster, the One who laughs.
Take part in our joy, be with us now.
We invoke You, Sigyn’s beloved.
Hail to the silver-tongued shape-shifter.
Find welcome in our altars and homes.
We honor You, Angrboda’s bliss.
Hail Loki!

We have pop pagan music
So last week I made a post about how we as pagans don't really have pop music to listen to that relates to our beliefs and myths. All pagan music is pretty much folk, metal or reenactments of ancient and medival music. Nothing wrong with it, but some of us like to be basic from time to time.
Then I realised... That's not true. There's plenty of pop songs that reference the gods and the myths even though the singers themselves may not be polytheists and that's why I created this playlist. Here you can listen to mostly upbeat but also some pop ballads that you could relate to as a polytheists.
Of course I'm accepting recommendations but please only recommend songs of genres that are pop-adjacent (pop, pop-rock, K-pop, J-pop, dance pop...) or mainstream (r&b, rap, trap, hip hop). It'd be especially thankful in recommendations from other faiths like Kemetism, Norse, Celtic, etc. since I don't know much about those. Any language is good.
