More werewolf au because I can :
Graves wasn't supposed to know about the werewolves, but Shepherd knew so maybe that's how he got the intel. As he's betraying them, he asks, almost begs, Soap to come with him, to join him against Alejandro and Ghost.
Alejandro because of the 'drug affiliation' thingy and his blatant dislike of Mexicans and Ghost because he's a monster. A beast, not even human. And he wants to protect Soap, believes him to be in danger, doesn't listen to Soap trying to de-escalate the situation, trying to ask him not to do that.
(Because he believes he knows what other people need more than them)
And Soap still has that very primal fear inside of him everytime he's around his the pack, that prey instinct that his predators are there, waiting for him to lower his guard. That's true, he does, he's even too scared to admit he's also not fully human.
But never, ever, has he considered betraying them, going against them in anyway. He wouldn't be a good cat if his fear of bigger predators wasn't overtaken by his very cocky very wrong feeling that he could take them all in a fight if he had to.
His cat-self was scared of their lycanthropic-selves, but he himself had never been scared of them as people. Well. Scared that they'd reject him, that they'd never consider him a member of the pack, yes. But scared that they'd hurt him? Not really.
Graves doesn't appreciate rejection, getting told no. He opens fire, Soap gets a bullet in his shoulder, Ghost begs him to get up and run.
He roams the streets with his head swimming from the blood loss, fighting against his instincts to just turn into a cat, curl up in a hole somewhere and lick his wounds, purring to himself to try and comfort the betrayed-hurt-helpless feeling in his gut.
But he can't, because he's not like the were-people, he's not a werecat, he doesn't heal faster. And his human biology makes surviving a bullet wound easier than the cat biology for some reason. (He tried, it just made him go in shock faster.) The hands keeping the blood from flowing freely definitely help for one. And what if Ghost contacts him and he can't respond and his LT thinks he's dead and leaves him here?
The Shadows are everywhere. The good thing is that his eyes see better in low light than theirs, than even the night vision helmets. His hearing is also better, though not as good as his cat-self's. That means he always knows where they are around him and he can avoid them.
When he's finally reunited with Ghost, the man keeps throwing him weird looks, but doesn't say anything. Soap can't really focus, he needs all his remaining blood doing actually important things and analysing your superior-officer-that-you've-been-lowkey-flirting-with's looks isn't one of these.
They reach Alejandro's safehouse, are reunited with Rudy, then Ghost sees him wobbling in place and drags him in the little medbay to see to his wounds. He gets stitches, incredibly thankful for Ghost's steady hands. As he finishes up though, his hands stay a bit longer on his shoulder, one of them climbs up to his ear and tugs it slightly, his eyes still staring.
Soap knows what he's doing, has seen Price lightly tug Gaz' and Ghost's (through the mask) ears, knows that it's a stand in for nipping them when they're in human form, as a way to say hello, or assert dominance or comfort them. Reserved for pack members.
Has... has he been accepted in the pack? His heart is beating faster, which isn't good with all the blood he's lost and the fact that the adrenaline is running out fast. His head is spinning. He looks up at Ghost with dilated eyes, trying to focus everything on him to try and understand before he passes out.
Ghost is looking straight at him, as usual, his head slowly tilting, his eyebrows furrowing in incomprehension. His peripherals are darkening more and more, darkness seeping in, and his eyes suddenly feel very hot while the rest of his body is getting cold and tingly.
Ghost's hand makes its way to the back of his neck, helping him hold his head up as his vision gets more and more blurry.
"What even are you?" Soap thinks he hears whispered as he finally loses consciousness.

You and Asmo have match wearable blankets, the shape are bunny, you bought a gray tabby cat one for Solomon cause you know if you don't buy him one he's be upset and jealous.
Your teacher is a menace who has sins of Pride and Envy at the same time and you can't really deny him so...yep.
Still, thanks to these two, now the others know you three have match wearable blankets.
Lucifer
Tumblr media
Secretly want one to match you.
You can buy him a white unicorn one and he'd say no while he wear that.
Or you buy him a dark gray wolf one and he'd use that to tease you.
"Now I am the wolf, doesn't think you'll warm me up with your warmth, lit' bunny."
He's the last one to try it, and he might only wear that when his brothers won't see him.
Beel met him once in the midnight, and Lucifer bribed him to forget that event.
If only you two in his study or room, he'd play with your bunny ears, cuddle with you on his lap.
You two made out in the blankets sometimes before wash them.
Lucifer's breath ghost around your neck and ear, the pleasure of being destroyed and put together again by his love polish your soul and your heart.
Your fingers interlocked.
"Good bunny. Sweet bunny. Time to reward you."
He marked you and chuckles lowly.
Mammon
Tumblr media
You bought him a crow hooded blanket.
He's over the moon right now.
Always try to trap you in his blanket.l, it's doesn't matter if you are having a movie night, just tap a glass or water or looking for some snacks.
The greedy man just want to hold you.
Steal his blanket if you think his is more comfortable.
He's fk turned on if you only wear his blanket and spread on his bed, the jewelry and Grimms surround you.
Mammon hover over you while he trace his point finger your curves.
Picking up a coin, he kiss it before put it on your nipple.
You pant and gulp when you feel the coldness against your skin.
Mammon shushes you and licks his lips, the greedy shining in his blue eyes.
"The favorite things in my life, money and my human. Now you're in my nest, I think it's time to start party, don't ya think?"
Solomon
Can you believe that? Solomon, this the greatest and powerful sorcerer in human world, would brag about his adorable apprentice gift him match wearable blankets to other demons.
Barbatos sighed and shook his head, Simeon and Diavolo laughed and low-key envy of that. Luke want to have one too so that he could wear that if you came to the HOL for sleepover night.
Definitely post the photo of you two wear the blanket and doing sth domestic.
Like you're holding a tray of tea and desserts.
Or dusting the living room, or writing some papers.
The one makes the brothers want to roast this sorcerer one is Solomon snapped the face when you're sleeping, on his lap.
One hand ruffles your hair and the thumb is rest againsr on your cheek.
It's belongs to a certain one who is obviously.
Solomon pecks your cheek when you're busy with the papers.
You huffs though it turns to be a smile.
"Need some help?"
"Yeah, I don't understand, what is it asking for?"
Solomon cages you from behind, his cheek lay on top of your head.
"The whole sentence are trying to misleading you. This part is useless, the key words is this one."
He points at a place on the paper. Your eyes follow his beautiful and slender fingers.
"...you didn't listen, do you?"
"No."
Solomon humms after your answer. The next moment, you found that you're laying on the desk, your teacher stands in front of you, your legs is spreaded wide and his fingers poke your delicate petals which between your legs.
"Ahh~ah, my adorable apprentice is really naughty, what should I do to teach them a lesson?...I have a great idea."
He winks at you before your world start to spin and heated.

You're probably getting tired of answering asks about the omegaverse universe, but I'm just so in love with how you said that the endotypes were on a spectrum, because I've never been able to quite express that thought, but it's definitely something I've thought too!
I find it a fun idea that an alpha that may act all big and tough is actually extremely submissive in bed, or vice versa with an omega that might seem gentle or compliant, but then is demanding or dominant when having sex. Each person is their own individual with their own personality and sexual interests.
But I also really like the idea of betas being the exact same as an alpha or omega, just without a high enough level of the A or B hormone to have their own little "classification". They're just as capable of reproducing as an alpha or omega, but don't have enough of the hormones required to develop the traits for knots etc. I wonder if people in universe like to think that a beta's place in the pack is to essentially manage the group while the alpha and omega members are vulnerable during their heat/rut, hence why the stereotype of them being calm and unflappable.
I also really love the idea that the concept of gender in the omegaverse is very relaxed compared to that in our world.
Yeah! I've always loved playing with the idea of alphas/omegas that don't fit the traditional omegaverse roles, because humans are so freaking variable that it's hard to say anyone acts one way all the time. Let alphas be subs, let omegas be doms, let betas have literally any characteristics other than "not alpha or omega."
Here's how I view pack dynamics and I'm going to use the 141 as our pack model.
Starting with the high spectrum members of the pack:
Alphas. Not always the head of the pack! They're micromanagers, they need everything to be just so and get anxious when things aren't the way their brain is telling them they should be. They're the bedrock support of the pack, they're the one you go to when you need help with something. They're in tune with the atmosphere and needs of their pack, and strive to keep everyone stable as best they can. Highly reactive to their surroundings they tend to be rash decision makers, favoring being quick and decisive peace keepers over being entirely rational. It takes practice for an alpha to lose some of the overbearing need to help. Price is a classic alpha, he needs his orders followed, he needs everyone in order, and he knows when things are falling out of whack. Price is the man you go to first with a problem because you know he'll solve it quickly and with little mess.
Ghost has a lot of alpha tendencies: He isn't territorial like typical omegas, he tends to lean more towards anxiety when he isn't getting his way, he's not great at the emotional stuff but he'll problem solve if you need him to. He's a micromanager that keeps to himself, but also physically cannot be a lone wolf for too long before that desire for stability kicks in and he finds himself sitting with Soap napping on his shoulder.
Betas. True Betas are rare, most people don't have perfectly equal hormones, but the general "unflappable" comes from that. They're not active or reactive, they think their decisions through and use the resources at their disposal to come to the best outcome. This also ends up with a lot of brute forcing their way through emotional issues, but if the house is burning down they're the ones grabbing an extinguisher while alphas worry over the pack and omegas worry over the house. Betas serve a lot of roles in a pack, but most importantly they're the glue that holds everything together. A pack without a beta or two is setting itself up for failure. They're mutable, versatile, and most importantly they have you back if anything goes wrong.
Gaz is the perfect example of a beta. He has strong morals, but he's also deeply rational and will argue with Price if he thinks he's making the wrong call. He's able to keep his emotions in check to get the job done, and at the end of the day he's the one that can best adapt to the situation at hand. He's invaluable to the team and able to switch between different spectrum needs depending on the situation.
Omegas. You do not want to fuck with an omega on a bad day. The true heads of the pack in a traditional sortie(family/friend group) they're the emotional support and another decision maker for the group. Where alphas think big, omegas think small. They're looking at the minutia of the pack, thinking through what's best for the individual not the group as a whole. More active than reactive, they tend to think their decisions through before delivering the final verdict. This can lead to a lot of indecisive omegas, which is why having a beta around is important. Omegas will always be the first to initiate conversations and conflicts, sometimes sticking their nose where it doesn't belong and getting in trouble. They're great at bringing issues to the surface, not always great at the actual problem solving afterwards(cue the alpha).
Despite being an alpha leaning beta, I think Soap has the best grasp on omega pack positioning. In my mind he's a middle child in a big family, and had to learn to deal with emotional conflict early on. He's good at getting feelings out of people, working through conversations that need to be had and thinking rationally through the moves he's making. I think about the MW2 campaign and Soap being the one to make calls with Ghost's guidance: Soap is a decision maker, but he's also trying to keep the mood light. I think Ghost was surprised to find out that the omega he was talking to over comms was actually closer to being an alpha lol.
Ghost is a flip flopper on the scale, his hormones directly reacting to his stress and trauma, giving him the best opportunities for survival in every situation. He's got a weird mix of omega and alpha instincts: he's deeply territorial(omega) but only about people(alpha), he's not great at the emotional shit(beta lol) but he also starts getting anxious when the pack is having disagreements(omega), he tends to be overbearing(alpha) but he's also a highly rational decision maker(omega). He's an omega that has been forced to slide up the scale in order to survive, only going back to his normal when he feels safe.
Anyway I hope this was interesting to people, these are just my thoughts for my omegaverse. Not my thoughts on the traditional au.

Okay bur do you have any thots over monster!Soap, cause monster!ghost gets a lot of love, but soap deserves some of that too 🫣
oooh, so I've got a Venom!Soap ask in my inbox from @mysticalgalaxysalad that I'm gonna get to later, but I definitely have some thots/thoughts over monster!Soap (a couple different types actually!)
Werewolf!Soap
I feel like lycanthropy fits Soap really really well. I think during leave or other situations that aren't life and death (and even some that are), Soap is very much like an excitable german shepard. He's definitely strong and can be scary, but also goofy and silly, and so I feel this translates really well to werewolf!Soap. He's already a pretty big guy but his wolf form is fucking massive holy shit. He absolutely puts the fear of god into the 141's enemies when he shifts, although I feel he does it sparingly because as strong and deadly as he is as a wolf, shifting does not happen to include his tac gear or kevlar, so he's more vulnerable that way. He absolutely transforms and plays fetch and goes for "walks" with you around base because if he doesn't shift frequently enough, it can become very painful for him. It's kind of hilarious to see a huge fucking wolf bounding around a military base, and more than one rookie has fainted thinking they're seeing a hellhound or some other demonic creature. If we're going down the horny thots route, I think that the heightened hearing and sense of smell absolutely play a role. Yes it helps on the battlefield, but when you've got a boyfriend who can smell when you're fertile and aroused, and can hear your heart rate pick up when he's nearby, you're never gonna know a moment's peace. Going off the whole scent thing, Soap absolutely has a thing about you smelling like him. Thankfully he doesn't 'mark' his territory like an actual dog (you would very probably murder him), but he's constantly putting you in his clothes, hugging you when he's all sweaty and gross from training, and he's got this fascination with coming inside you and anything that drips out gets smeared across your thighs and rubbed into your skin. Maybe it's a little weird, but you kind of like it. Yes, doggy is his favorite position, do not tease him about it because he can and will make sure you're unable to walk for a week. You've also never fucked Soap in his wolf form, because holy fuck he's so huge he might literally tear you in half, but that doesn't mean you don't sometimes think about it.
Vampire!Soap
Okay, so I would probably normally vibe with Vampire!Ghost, but I think Soap works really well as a vamp too. Whereas with Ghost I think he fits the vibes of more the monstrous beings a la Nosferatu that just look off and that's what scares people, I think for Soap he's the kind of vampire that is stunningly gorgeous and hypnotising and that's why he draws you in. It's kind of funny sometimes because he gets so offended by some of the stereotypes ("Of-feckin-course the cross isn't gonna ward me off, I'm a bloody vampire, nah the feckin Devil!") but for the most part he acts completely human. He's not particularly pale, his eyes aren't red, and his teeth at first glance look normal. But when he's fighting and goes into a bloodlust, that's when people start being scared of him. He's arguably the more deadly one between him and Ghost, because you tend to stay away from Ghost, but Soap draws you in, until you realize it's too late. Also, you find out in your relationship that while he can (and usually does) live off bagged blood, fresh tastes so much better, and when you offer to let him drink from you, the both of you learn another little interesting tidbit about his vampirism, something he was unaware of. Vampires secrete a kind of venom from their fangs that acts like a calming agent in animals but in humans acts as an aphrodisiac. After all, it's hard to get a good meal when said meal is fighting for their life, so vampires evolved to come up with a way to get around it, but knowledge is mostly lost because of vampire blood banks. The first time the two of you discovered it, you both descended into a haze of lust and desire that didn't lift for two whole days. The rest of the team was concerned when they hadn't heard from you both in 24 hours, but Ghost's the one to figure out what the two've you have done.
Eldritch Horror!Soap
So, this is a bit more ambiguous, because... you know... eldritch horror with emphasis on the eldritch, but I personally vibe with a kind of strange, shadow-demonesque type of being for Soap. With his proclivity for pyrotechnics, the whole demon aspect fits really well, and the shadow part fits for him as a sniper. Basically, he has a habit of scaring the absolute shit out of everyone on base by just melting into the shadows and peering out with eyes that glint red in the right lighting. Everyone thinks that Ghost is the one to be scared of, and they wouldn't be wrong, but once you've been startled by a Scotsman's drawl coming from the shadowy area in the back of the kitchen near the fridge when you could've sworn you were alone, you realise Simon 'Ghost' Riley is not the only one to be frightened of. Soap has some basic shadow travel abilities which is a huge boon in the field, but his favorite power has to be shadow manipulation. He's able to use shadows as an extension of himself, which is fantastic for pranks, but also really really good for teasing the everloving shit outta you. The first time he did it during a briefing, letting the tendrils of shadows trace over your thighs and against the soft skin under your shirt. You're able to hold your composure admirably, but you yell at him for it later. It does nothing to deter him. In fact, it might've made things worse. Don't even get me started on him fucking you with his shadows. He doesn't need to get your clothes off for that, and it's a fun way for him to pass the time if you're in a position or situation that wouldn't otherwise allow for some fun. You tell him that you hate it and that he needs to stop, but he always retorts that the two of you have safe words for a reason and you really don't have a response to that (because goddamnit you don't actually hate it as much as you say you do. Everyone is terrified of you as a consequence of you being with Soap, because they're well aware of why his missions are classified (aka, the violence level is beastly, far more so than even many military men can stomach) and the fact that you know that and still said "ok but I wanna fuck him" scares the shit out of people.

anyways. some small ideas for a highly self-indulgent werewolf au.
GHOST - cascade mountain wolf (this specific "breed" i guess?? of wolf is extinct btw), bc he will forever be a red head in my mind & they were described as cinnamon-coloured. - second largest of the pack, usually seen as the secondary leader next to price due to his rank - he does not like his werewolf form due to the fact that it reminds him of his father, and the things he'd done to him as a young pup just finding out he could shift.
SOAP - human, knows about ghost being a werewolf, but not price (so far). - has some suspicions about price being a werewolf - definitely thinks that gaz is also a werewolf (only to later find out he's not) - makes a lot of werewolf puns around ghost (& later price when he finds out) - has definitely found ghost out in the woods as a werewolf & just chucks his clothes at him "put ur fucking clothes on, wtf are u doing out here simon" - image of charlie day with the information board "EVERYONE, EXCEPT ME, IS A WEREWOLF"
GAZ - human, unaware that price & ghost are werewolves - more of a "i don't believe in werewolves" kinda guy - that is until he sees one of them shift in front of him, then he's just like "what the absolute FUCK" - most people, even other werewolves, assume that he is one bc he has a lot of werewolf-y traits; this just comes from the fact that he was (unknowingly) raised by a werewolf.
PRICE - labrador wolf (i just think price would be a very fluffy wolf tbh, no other reason for this) - oldest & third biggest member of the pack (was the second biggest before könig stumbled in) - following actual wolf pack structure, he has adopted soap & gaz as his own & treats them as if they were his kids on occasion. he's tried to do the same with ghost, but ghost was not having it. - price finding gaz like "what the fuck is that?? is that a human?? a werewolf?? lemme go check him out"
ALEJANDRO - mexican wolf, but he's unusually big for a species of werewolf that is usually pretty small - while he understands that rudy is human, he honestly sees rudy more as another werewolf due to the wolfishness rudy picked up from him inadvertently. - has 100% tried to court rudy like he would another werewolf, but later remembered that rudy is not another werewolf (totally not embarrassing for him)
RUDOLFO - human, he knows ale is a werewolf, he doesn't really care too much. - they grew up together, so he also has some wolf-y traits he picked up from ale. - he knows ale views him more as a werewolf due to a time when they both sat down for a drink, ale told him just about everything. he tries his best to emulate werewolf traits bc of this, he doesn't want ale to feel like he's alone as a werewolf (even though ale kind of is bc - as far as rudy is aware - there are no other werewolves, besides ale's family, where they are from.)
KÖNIG - eurasian wolf or steppe wolf?? idk what to make him - largest, big fluff guy. fur out the wazoo - very intimidated by his own strength around humans, he does not want to hurt people inadvertently, unless they give him a reason too - hes got one of those dog sweaters that just says "anxious" on it, thanks to soap - doesn't know where he exactly fits in with the 141, price seems to be nice, but ghost is very standoffish with him, gaz reminds him of a wolf but is human?? and soap... well, hes basically off limits for friendship with the way ghost hovers around him.
GRAVES - technically not a werewolf, he is a werecoyote - he just has those kinda vibes. idk what it is. - i dont have any other ideas for this bitch (/aff), hes just coyote - hates that he is a werecoyote & not a werewolf, he has some issues. (definitely gets made fun of behind his back, mostly werewolves referring to him as "werechihuahua" bc of how small he is when in his were form)

It's that time again! First Friday Fic Night
For a refresher you can see what this is about here.
Voting at the bottom to choose next month's topic.
This month is family feels. Found family. The one you chose or who you chooses you. Sometimes on purpose but often unintentionally. As someone who had to cut ties with my family of origin (except my sister who is a gem), this theme is close to my heart.
I don't think that families (found or otherwise) are limited only to long-term, here-for-the-long-haul, relationships. Sometimes someone passes through your life for a brief period of time but manage to plant a home in your heart. It can happen when you need them for a season, or when they need you, and usually it hits you when you least expect it. So my definition of family feels may seem broad so the stories may not hit that spot for you. It's cool, they are all still really worth the read.
I had difficulty narrowing down my list so we may come back to family feels in the future. I also left Dadzawa out. That is a whole genre of its own. In this post we have Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Teen Wolf, and Snow White With the Red Hair. We kind of hit them all.
As always, mind the tags!
Attack on Titan
make this moment last forever, by aelandair
"Erwin accompanies Levi to an orphanage."
This one sits at the intersection of creating family and intense yearning. Maybe leans a little farther into the yearning. Oops.
My Hero Academia
Your sun in the night sky, by notified
"In which Bakugou Katsuki learns saving is not always about blowing stuff up, cracking down on villains' plans or, even making use of his quirk in any significant aspect. It can be gruelling, tedious and heartbreaking. And it's funny, because he never really set out to save the brat in the first place.
Or, Bakugou acquires a snarky orange child."
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this fic. I actually don't know how many times I've read it at this point. This is Bakugou not just saving without blowing things up, but it is also him learning to care for others, understand what giving up a piece of yourself really means, and discovering family. Plus, domestic Bakugou is my religion.
I think this might have been the first BNHA fic that grabbed me. It is top 5 BNHA for me, and I have 268 BNHA fics read and bookmarked. I wish I was joking about that last part.
lullabies for ghosts in the mind, by jarynw02
"He’s well aware of how convenient it might be for Dabi to parade around as an innocent toddler for a while to throw off suspicion. How, if this were still Dabi’s mind, he’d be smart enough to lie and act and cover his trail until he can return to normal and inevitably escape.
But Katsuki can’t stop thinking about how bright his blue eyes are, how they swelled with tears in the alley at the mention of heroes-- the mention of his father, Endeavor, the most impactful hero in the child’s life. Even if this tiny human is Dabi biding his time, those tears were real. Those tears were real and coming from eyes so much like Katsuki’s husband’s eyes, shed for the same man that’d made Shouto cry too many times for Katsuki’s liking.
Or
Dabi turns into a toddler and Katsuki brings him home to Shouto."
I think this was originally going to be a longer fic, but it works really well as just a one shot. As I mentioned above, domestic Bakugou is my thing, and in this he is soft soft soft.
His Littlest Listener, by lilredpandacub
"Present Mic Loves all his jobs. But he especially loves his Friday and Tuesday night Session on his Radio Show where his most favourite caller is sure to ring up late at night just to speak and pose ever more interesting questions. Hizashi really just wants to give the sweet little baby a cuddle."
Baby Izuku being so smart and Presentation Michael is really feeling personally attacked by it.
Teen Wolf
Roots to Tether by, clotpolesonly
"Scott needs someone to look after Beacon Hills while he's away at college. Stiles needs someone to keep an eye on his dad. Liam needs a sparring partner, Mason needs a translator for his ancient books, Malia needs someone to run with.
And Derek? Well, Derek needs this."
Derek gains a family that he didn't know he was looking for and that he didn't know he needs. My biggest Teen Wolf ship is Derek/stability.
Snow White With the Red Hair
The Five Times Obi Knocked (and the one time he didn't), by happybubbles
"He always wondered what it would feel like to have a home. And she always wondered if she would find a place of her own ever again."
I always always want Obi know he has a home and highlighting how Obi uses their knocking on the wall to express that is just lovely.
Fugue in Three, by infinitelystrangemachine_old
"Ryuu, Shirayuki, and Obi have all taken different paths to end up where they are now. An admission on Ryuu's part helps tip the trio into their future."
This is such a beautiful piece. The three of them finding home in one another, settling into a life together and reaching out for the version of the future that they want. It feels like evert line destroys me.
'It hurts. It aches. It tears at her until all she wants to do is shake Obi awake, retreat into the safety of his arms for the first time ever, if only to find a place to bury the tortured unmaking and remaking of her heart.'
'Take me, he thinks, and his heart, his very own heart, goes still in his chest. Do what you want with me. I’ll lay at your feet if that’s what you want. I’ll crawl on my hands and knees for the rest of my life if it would do you some good.'
It's just so good. I can't. If there is only one fic you read from this list, it should be this one.
Please enjoy, I hope these warm you (even when they hurt a little bit.) Let me know how much you like them on a scale of excel sheets tracking nutrition to cracking adolescent voices.
See you next month <3

Someone else that loves Being Human!! Yay!!!
I got a question for you! When the devil was killed do you think ALL vampires and werewolves were restored to humanity? What about the ghosts? Mary was still around from what we know. This never was addressed! I'm curious to see what your answer is.
So since the finale ending scene with the paper wolf hints that them killing Hatch was still part of the fantasy he trapped them in (since Hatch made the paper wolf when they were in the fantasy), which is then confirmed by the deleted ending scene when they realize at the restaurant that they are indeed still in the fantasy, then my answer would be no, I don't think all supernatural creatures were cured since Hatch isn't really dead and them turning human was just part of him trying to keep them trapped in the happy fantasy world.
If the show did take the route of having them be cured I'm not quite sure if it would include all supernatural people. Although in the deleted ending scene Tom does mention Allison being human too so perhaps if the cure was reality rather than fantasy that does mean everyone would be cured. It also would've been an interesting thing for all the ghosts to go through since suddenly they would be alive again and have basically a second chance at life (Lady Mary would definitely be interesting to see as a human again). I'd be very curious to see what they would've done in a 6th season.
Thanks for the question!

I was hoping u could help clarify something for me, bc i feel like i'm missing or misunderstanding something?? So in one of the cabal missions where u gotta kill their champion, Zavala says something along the lines of how Guardians don't answer to him, or bow down to him, or however he put it.
But... isn't that exactly what the vanguard does? They're practically a military, he even uses the title of commander. So we DO answer to him, he's our commander, we have to follow his orders. IIRC, the Forsaken dlc was technically The Young Wolf going rogue, Zavala expressly forbade it? If we were meant to be free to make our own decisions, then Zavala shouldn't have been able to forbid it right? Just advise against it?
I dunno i might be misunderstanding everything, but Zavala saying we don't bow down to him while leading an entire military feels BIZARRE, especially when some see leaving the vanguard as just straight up abandoning humanity
It's hard to say honestly. There's definitely a command structure involved, but there's also a fair amount of freedom for Guardians to act as they please as long as they're not endangering the City. I think that's the crucial difference.
In Forsaken, our involvement brought with it the very real danger of aggravating both the Eliksni and the Reef Awoken into a conflict with us. That was primarily the reason why Zavala was against it and why he had the authority to forbid it. Our actions could've caused a war and war would've caused danger to the City. In that case, Zavala is definitely someone who has the authority to forbid certain actions.
There's also the for example the Praxic Order which is the closest the Vanguard has to a some sort of policing force but that's quite literally only reserved for the most dangerous cases of Guardians going rogue. Guardians who get corrupted for example and are a danger to other Guardians, Ghosts and civilians. Praxic Order has a Ghost-restraining tech and can put dangerous Guardians in prison, basically.
So the common thread seems to be whether a Guardian's action can cause major conflict or death. If it can, then Zavala is definitely an authority that can enact rules, but if not then Guardians are truly free to do as they please.
This is also interesting with the Great Hunt in which Guardians using Ahamkara wishes were a major danger, but since it was so widespread and impossible to control (mostly because wishes could be made accidentally as well), the Vanguard could not physically stop all Guardians. They just cannot exert control over such a large and powerful population, which is actually very chilling when you think about it. So the Vanguard's solution was to kill Ahamkara instead. Which is quite fucked up to be honest!
Basically, there's some control when the situation is really dangerous, but there is also a lot of freedom for Guardians and they don't have to obey him at all or be part of the Vanguard. A lot of Guardians don't really do much for the Vanguard, at least not consistently and are still considered normal Guardians. All depends on how much their actions can cause real tangible harm.

Transformation/spook AU (whatever you end up calling this) anon:
(this IS getting longer each time lol. thank god there's no ask character limit anymore?) yes to basically all of that, though.
honestly the group being regarded as a threat is par for course. (like, Danny was basically a public menace for a while even when he was trying to help, and even after he got more approval people were still wary of him.)
I like that all of them get their kinda community-specific side friends though. It really is nice to see them getting and making more friends outside of their usual circle. Tucker being a werewolf means his instinct is that he needs a pack, and yes Danny and co are his pack, but naturally I think he would also gravitate toward other werewolves, and they'd be his pack too, so de definitely has two or three close packmates that help him along in his adventures in integrating into werewolf society and also punching out bad guys (honestly? let's do more crossover stuff. Teen Wolf canon characters like Isaac or something!) and just kinda sympatyhize with him. I like the idea that at least one is his cousin, and a thought just popped up that one of them would also be Wulf's descendant (I'm imagining a latino/spanish kid, because of Wulf's Esperanto), and maybe the last one would just be some random (in the case that there's an xover, like I mentioned earlier, probably Isaac or a different one-off TW character).
Sam getting the animal companion though and basically talking to animals like a disney princess... she loves the ability, hates that she's like a disney princess now lol. And a "typical mermaid princess friend" actually makes me think it's basically mermaid Paulina, and Sam is both reluctantly her friend but also eventually grateful for it because it helped her grow past her prejudices against the other A-Lister girls when she learns how to see past mermaid friend's girliness too. I imagine this friendship happened because this mermaid cottoned on to the fact that Sam would become royalty soon (early on when she was just accepted into the clan and not really part of it or a leader in it yet) and decided she was both a good leader to follow (thus becoming a loyal friend too even if she was a princessy type Sam typically didn't hang out with) so she kinda just decided to help Sam learn the ropes and pull off whatever lake-saving shenanigans Sam gets up to every week and eventually they just become close. (H2O has a theme of sisterhood so I can imagine this happens very sweetly. There's also a theme of trios so there's probably another mermaid in on these shenanigans too.) That said, there's definitely probably an "episode" where the mermaids learn the spell to become temporarily human and do so and come to school for a while and are totally awed and naive about human culture and Sam has to spend the entire time trying to corral them into order and keep suspicion off them--and stop them from getting wet or saying weird stuff that would reveal themselves or her to the whole school.
I agree with the Spike headcanon, and I saw a few fics were she was friends with one of the other Weston brothers (which one would depend on the fic), but yeah aside from having very few human friends, Jazz probably also has the smallest other-friend-group because of her feared-and-disliked status. I can maybe see her showing compassion to a brownie or something and them becoming another sidekick-type friend, but yeah I don't think the other fae get close enough to her to befriend her. I do like the idea of her genuinely befriending Johnny and Kitty and maybe Ember though. (Meanwhile, Danny's other-friend-group definitely includes Dora and Sidney bc I hc that Sidney and Danny would become better friends after working out their differences, and occasionally Johnny because they seemed friendly in a couple of episodes. I can see him befriending Ember too. Just give Danny all the teen ghosts as friends ok.)
But yes I totally agree to Val being a forerunner superhero like Bats and Supes and eventually getting recruited by a superhero team. But like the others' communities not really interacting with each other except the occasional crossover, I don't really see Danny and co crossing over to Val's "community" either mostly because they ARE all busy with their own responsibilities. Aside from the "Batman doesn't want to recruit Danny because of his bad press" thing (which, legit, but I think at this point it's been years and Danny has proven to be more good than not, and besides Danny isn't the only hero with bad press so I don't think it'd matter much to Batman), Danny is on his way to becoming king, or learning to be one, or has already become king and is now having to deal with all the responsibilities that come with that, including taking time to study law and meet people and in general split his time between the GZ and AP. Sam is trying to save Lake Eerie from pollution and overfishing/hunting and the occasional ghost sea monster haunting them and other stuff, and helping rebuild the mermaid clan (which btw I think is less of a royalty thing and more of a chieftain thing? I feel like since it's such a small clan it's not really a kingdom so much as it is a tribe, so Chief might fit better than Queen for Sam's upcoming leadership role in this case) and in general mermaids like to keep secret, so I don't think Sam would opt to join Valerie in joining a superhero group to help them stay secret even if she could pass off her powers as a meta or mutant thing (though yes, maybe there CAN be the occasional crossover where she can meet Aquaman, should the situation require Val to call in some aquatic help). Tucker's responsibilities seem very local, and though I'm sure he'd be stoked and excited to join a superhero team, similar to Sam I can see his pack being like "no please don't, you joining will have consequences for ALL of us" so he has to consider that (especially since it's his family, not just other random werewolves, asking). I don't think Jazz would be interested in general (except for maybe becoming a superhero therapist), though Ellie might be (though she seems more interested in just travels than having responsibilities--also I love the idea that "no one is sure she exists" is the reason she's not really known to any community except the Spooks lol). So I like the idea of, if Valerie does take on the "protect humans from human crimes" role, it's something that's just for her for the most part and not quite the "package deal" that you might be thinking. She gets to have all the cool "stop alien invasions and international crime syndicates" adventures, and when she needs the occasional help from her friends, she can ask for it (similar to everyone else in the group asking for help when they need it too). It's kinda like Batman having sidekicks but they're not really seen as part of the Justice League, they're Batman's people who help him. The Spooks are Valerie's people who help her. Yknow? (but yes, when her friends DO get involved, they do write off their powers as meta/alien things.)
But yeah, Val being part of the Science Gone Wrong Crew. They can be part of her other-friend-group, but I especially imagine her being close friends with Blue Beetle and Cyborg? Just, yknow, similar circumstances. One is a superhero via a parasitic creature thing, and the other is a superhero by technology like her. She's in between!
Also, Wes being an alien is hilarious. Would he even KNOW? I love the idea that he would think he's human, all the way up until, idk, he completes human puberty and then has a sudden transformation and learns he's an alien because he's now starting alien puberty lol. I like the idea that he had an ancestor/parent that was an alien like that one person mentioned in the comments (it would really match up with the fact that the rest of the Spooks are half-human in some way too). Imagine the freak out. He would have A Journey emotionally and mentally trying to figure that out and accept that, and FINALLY realize why trying to out Danny and co is a horrible idea because now he's in the same situation where if he's outed Bad Things TM will happen. To him. He only half-heartedly continues accusing Danny and co to not seem off, but he's slowly letting it die down to make it seem like he's naturally giving up at least. The accusation that he's an alien, while frustrating that everyone believes without much convincing, would give him such a panic attack as he realizes the consequences of what would have happened had everyone actually believed him about Danny, because now he's worried about some government coming to kidnap him and put him in Area 51. Like yeah everyone's chill and won't turn him in, but the worry is still there because he has no assurance of this. I think this would be a natural starting point for him to join the Spooks--he goes to them for help about what to do about it and maybe someone to sympathize with him (Tucker being born as he is and gaining his own teenage transformation earlier that year means he's the most likely to empathize!) and also maybe get some help in case some government guys do tote him away, but of course this is after he apologizes.
Of course they do help him out. Danny suggests he uses his Cassandra powers to just tell everyone the truth and then no one would believe it anymore. Wes is just "that seriously won't work" and Danny replies "worked when I tricked you into doing it about me" so the next time someone cracks a joke/accuses Wes of being an alien, he goes full conspirator mode and says "actually I did some digging into my family history and I think I might be! Guys I totally might be an alien! Here's point A and point B, and how I connected them, and I have a whole powerpoint on it!" and. it. WORKS. Wes is so astonished that the immediate response is "oh ha ha, Weston, real funny, that rumor is last week's news, get some new material" or something. Wes wants to slam his head into the lockers, like "WTF WHY DID THAT WORK" and then starts down the rabbit hole of ACTUALLY trying to research his family/alien lineage to try and find out if it's a power his other-half species is supposed to have. (It doesn't. It's just a coincidence. It's funny to think about Wes spiraling like that though.)
But yeah I love this. Having an alien in the group. Wes doesn't seem to have any particular responsibility or have a penchant for fighting, and I feel like since he's the late-addition and not a close friend like the tight-knit group seems to be, that's fine that he's the odd man out. His responsibility can be helping everyone cover their absences/weirdness and be alibis lol. (Wes is not one of those friends who would step in front of a splash for Sam, or stand in front of a bush so Danny can transform with slightly more cover, or etc. But that's only yet. He reluctantly goes "uhg, fine!" and does it, and eventually he'll just do it automatically. Especially after they've started covering for his oddities too--only seemed right to return the favor.) Also given his drive for investigative journalism, maybe he's their go-to guy for general researchy things.
Honestly I would love to see sketches or anything of this whole AU/XOver thing. I feel like if it were a real giant collaboration there'd need to be a discord or something to coordinate lol. Or an AO3 group? However that'll work. If you do plan on writing any side of this AU tho do post it! I will be happy to give more ideas and stuff :D
the wariness will definitely be something they will always deal with, even once they're known as members of the justice league. there's just a darker edge to them and their past. and even if they establish a place in their individual societies, they still started as outsiders. they still associate with the other.
i ironically don't actually know teen wolf that well so doing that crossover myself is a bit tricky for me. but i don't mind a cameo. for tucker i was imagining a female cousin around his age and maybe a sorta little brother type cousin. like he's young and hasn't changed yet but knows about being werewolves and stuff and really wanting to be included in their adventures even though he's baby. i am all for a latino descendant of wulf and them definitely having a family reunion at some point. i also wouldn't mind having another girl who can kick his ass when he acts stupid. i think there's actually a pattern of toxic masculinity in werewolf media, sometimes as a criticism of it, but i want some strong ladies. my brain now jumped to ginger snaps, but those were a darker breed of werewolf than i really want. idk. we should also probably think of names for everyone. but i'll probably have and easier time naming them when i sketch them.
the main crew are definitely tucker’s official pack though, much to everyone else's confusion. you also made me think that tucker will have complaints about how everyone smells. danny smells like ozone and death, sam like fish, jazz like flowers but specifically in a way that makes him sneeze. he doesn't smell great either to be fair. but it is an ongoing thing. the main irony being that when he goes and hangs out with other werewolves, he smells like his friends, so he stinks to them. i think the fact that his official pack isn't wolves is one of the things that makes him weird for the wolves. they might be tolerant of other monsters but you don't just go and pack bond with them. keep your pack among the wolves. that kinda thing.
sam isn't complaining about her powers really. she loves purification magic and being able to talk to fish and work with underwater plants. she just is annoyed that being a mermaid doesn't fit her aesthetic. that she's suddenly spending all her time on the beach or underwater. that she's at risk of getting a tan. that her weaknesses are much more prominent on land than her strengths and that she sometimes ends up holding her friends back when they suddenly have to deal with her having a tail. i think at some point danny and tucker get her a tricked out wheel chair. explaining why she needs one is tricky, they've never been the best liars, but shenanigans can be had with it.
i was actually imagining the mermaid princess to be more like yue from atla than paulina. that might make her a bit to similar to dora. but again i see her having a core of strength and being incredibly regal and capable when the moment calls for it. i don't think she'd be as naive as dora. i see her as a very strong character but one who embraces and uses her femininity in a way that sam doesn't. sam might be for feminism but she tends to look down on girls who like make up and being pretty. paulina to an extent is pretty shallow but sam isn't exactly that deep herself. she could afford to be less antagonistic to the other girls in her life. so the princess character, i'm thinking merrin as her name, would be more mature than either of them. she matured under the responsibility and pressure she's under and really came to own how she presented herself. so she might look like a Paulina or Ariel on the surface, but underneath that is an iron spine and a terrible amount of frustration.
i think their friendship would be mutually beneficial. merrin might go into their friendship initially manipulative, because she recognized sam's potential to be a leader and thought she could get a break. so she would be subtly pushing sam into the roll in public and teaching her politics on the way. and that would make their relationship more contentious in the beginning. but gradually, as they get closer and merrin has more opportunity to loosen up, it becomes more apparent that the mermaid has a lot to complain about and they have fun bitching about things. sam's helps merrin work out her frustration and just have a life outside her duty. sam meanwhile is maturing about her female relationships, seeing the value of femininity. she's also using what she learns about politics to get her way more on land. passing laws that protect ghosts and animals and the lake.
you're right about them needing to be a trio, though i would argue the fish companion could count as their third depending on how smart we make them. but i suppose we could have another character. i think i mentioned a merman who is considerably smaller than sam but who's flirting with her a lot. he might learn to respect her and get humbled and more helpful as the story progresses though. like character development. he's also really scared of danny, who is not only huge compared to him but also a bloody ghost. wtf. for some reason i'm inclined to call him hector.
either way i'm down with the absolute shenanigans of the mers getting on land and running around amity causing their own brand of chaos and also encountering ghosts and seeing why sam is 'like that'. just having them in the school would be wild. the populars would immediately try to latch on to merrin because she's beautiful and elegant and mature. but she's also taking the opportunity to be immature and messy since none of her subject can see her here. so she's going to say some mean stuff and feel incredibly proud of herself.
aside, mermaids are also known for singing. so i think it would be interesting to have her accidentally pull siren shit on land. i'm debating if singing should be one of sam's powers. it might be one, but she refuses to use that power because her voice doesn't suit the kind of music she likes. she wants to sing metal or punk and she has a voice for choir. i'm also going to go with the head canon that danny can sing well and that ends up being some common ground between him and merrin. danny accidentally getting pulled into a siren trio with ember and merrin. sam and tucker having to break them up, because while they're having fun, they're getting out of control. i don't think either danny or merrin set out to hurt anyone but sometimes you join an accapella group and things happen.
i like spike, a lot. i'm a punk so having characters i con project onto is fun. i'm less inclined to give jazz another side kick though. i could see her maybe almost making friends with a brownie, and it following her home to help clean and take care of it, as brownies do. only for it to be chased out within the day by the pure chaos of the fenton security system. she was so close and yet so far. on the other hand keeping with the theme of jazz making friends with people (and creatures) aesthetically darker than her. i could see her accidentally befriending a dark sithe. a member of the court of shadows. like someone genuinely kinda evil, and who assumes jazz is also more evil than she is based on her power level. they don't help her reputation among the fae. misunderstandings ensue and yet jazz still manages to keep her head and be manipulative enough to escape unharmed from the sithe's manipulations and possible attempts to literally kill her. now i'm imagining jazz somehow inherited jack's oblivious plot armor. where she's naive and friendly enough, to just duck at the right times and dodge all shots accidentally. doyle is loosing their mind. i'm going to call the dark sithe Pantera after my black cat.
i could also see her befriending a pooka. i could see them as a mute character that usually only she can see. for shenanigans. she's not as close with them, but they're one of the nicer fae she's in contact with. the pooka also likes to play pranks and tease people, often invisibly behind their back when only jazz can see them. they go out of their way to make jazz laugh. they're going to be named harvey and are a giant rabbit, because references.
and yep, at this point, danny has been a halfa and hero for more than a year. he's teamed up with his share of ghosts over that year and has a lot of contacts and friends within the ghost zone. i could see him having another episode with sidney where they end up actual friends. now i kinda want sidney to reveal some hidden useful skill that everyone, especially his bullies missed. danny seeing past the nerdiness to the brave and plucky kid the sidney really is and they form a genuine friendship. bonus, danny getting a bit nerdier through proximity and tanking his own reputation in the process. dora probably doesn't leave the zone as often now that she's queen. but they remain good friends. amorpho, wulf, and cujo also count as good friends. i am into danny getting close with kitty, johnny, and ember though. i think it starts with him giving a bit of grown and letting them out of the zone so long as they don't hurt anyone. could also see them sharing music. danny learning the music from the time they died, vs the music he likes now. they're all kinda edgey just in different ways. i also want the punk ghost trio to be a bad influence on him, but in a fun way. because lets be real, danny has gotten really stuck in the goody two shoes act since dan. letting him have some fun and be a bad boy is totally valid as far as i'm concerned. also i just want him riding a motorcycle.
you've made a good point about keeping the human heroes as mainly val's thing. it's much more balance. i might have jumped the gun because, obviously, i'm a superhero nerd. you're right about everyone being busy as hell. i like chief sam but also like sam being a princess just aesthetically. she is going have to build her kingdom, and work mainly in the water though. danny becoming king is happening so he might also be getting training for that at this point, possibly via clockwork shenanigans which takes him all over creation. i know you said tucker is more local but i'm actually going to say that while the werewolf community is relatively small, they move around a lot. the have established territories but they can be pretty freaking big and they travel a lot within them. so tucker leaving town to interact with his family and settle things within the larger territory. which would also give him a larger opportunity to deal with other monsters. he's still the team tech guy though. probably doing some man in the chair stuff. you're right about jazz minding her business. she has school.
but yeah having them be her people and occasional come on missions especially when it concerns their 'thing' such as a rogue vampire or killer whale. val just being able to say i have a guy for that. and having this smug look. in part because she kinda has a guy for everything. her friends are freaking versatile.
aquaman: i can't settle issues in the great lakes because it's technically not my domain and it would anger the mers there. val: oh don't worry i know someone
some of the heroes do end up wondering why her friends aren't part of the league, but they have a life. i think there's a bit of irony in she almost never summons phantom to handle ghost problems because she can handle most ghosts, so the supers probably don't even know she's friends with phantom now. it would have to be a big world threat to bring him in and it would probably blow some minds. in the mean time, any of her other friends showing up, they leave quite an impression for how little they're actually around.
i also think batman goes down a rabbit whole researching her and her friends. initially it looks simple for jazz. ghosts are kinda while but he gets protecting your town from the threat. and her civilian live isn't overly complicated. she was a nice girl who's dad lost his money due to a ghost attack and she ended up taking up ghost hunting on top of a fast food job. she's pretty much a normal person as far as heroes go. but then he looks into her friends. and everyone has a secret life and just keeps getting wilder the further he looks because they're all chaotic and involved in things all over the place. danny is doing stuff all throughout time. that might actually mean batman doesn't put together fenton is phantom. maybe he just assumes phantom is his ancestor, and that's why they look alike. the lab accident and the ghost hunter parents is weird enough though....
actually! batman figuring out that the lab accident gave dany ghost powers but not putting together he's phantom. batman inviting fenton to be a superhero and put his powers to good use, unaware that danny is already a very busy hero. danny being too dumb to refuse because joining the justice league would be so cool. danny having to train his ghost powers in human form and getting a new suit and secret identity. val having to cover for him and finding this entire situation ridiculous. especially because he's going to flunk out of school at this point.
danny: do i need to graduate when i'm going to be king val: no one wants a high school dropout to handle politics. danny: the ghost zone begs to differ
it proves unsustainable and Fenton decides to just be her sidekick when he has time, but otherwise sticks in amity.
blue beetle and cyborg are a cool combination for her. not just because they got powers in similar ways, but also because they're all heroes of color. gotta stick together and have each other's back. just in general they have vibes. i also like val being half in love with wonder woman, because same. training with a strong female hero is everything to val. i think we also need a hero good at challenging her and keeping her level. val isn’t perfect and i think it’s be healthy for someone to challenge her decisions and stubbornness. she’s a little too similar to bats for them to disagree enough to be proper foils. i’m kinda torn on having her foil in the league either be flash or superman.
flash would be a good foil because he’s not really the type to punish his villains. he does his best to get to know people and help his villains get help. he’s a lot looser and fun. i imagine his goofy personality would get on vals nerves cause she takes her job very seriously. he’s also the result of a science gone wrong. he might be a little too similar to danny though. and on the one hand that could emphasis certain point and be used for jokes. we all ready have danny serving as a foil so it probably wouldn’t be as effective as it could be.
superman pulling his innocent golden boy thing though has potential though. they are so inherently different and sups is impossible to hate, so i see val struggling with the fact that she isn’t good enough. she’d probably enter a mental compensation with him. to be as good, to be as heroic, as him. and the fact that she’s loosing is driving her up the wall. especially when he comments about how some of her methods aren’t very heroic. she’s a fighter first and foremost. superman has mad a career out of pulling his punches. val has always been fighting extra hard. essentially she’s jealous. had the potential to let her grow in different ways. i think batman would point out that no one can match sups and that she should be herself. but it still niggles at her. sups plays oblivious but i see him knowing and just affectionately teasing her. she gets better about her jealousy. and even becomes a better hero from the prodding, but she has a mild grudge.
wes would get his own fic in this series of his adventures and the first half being devoted to him discovering his powers and facing the consequences of his actions. like the others would be all about exploring their different worlds and going on magical adventures. and then you have wes, going through a rough puberty and realizing he’s been a jerk to the only people who could possibly help him. fantastic. good shit. it’s a who emotional journey probably full of trips and hiccups and backsliding and denial.
bonus points if his older brother, easton, is in the know and trying to help and ease him through it. but wes is having a conniption because he 1. didn’t notice his brother was an alien and 2. his brother didn’t tell him this was going to happen to him. easton points out that it might not have happened. it skips a lot of people in the family line. it skipped kyle.
kyle is going to be positively oblivious in this. he doesn’t believe in anything paranormal. his brother being an alien is out of the question. it’s really a rule fo the funny situation. is he dumb? is he actually totally aware and just committing to a bit? is he just missing everything by sheer coincidence. who knows... but wes hates it.
so there can be some focus on the brotherly relationships. easton trying to be a good big brother but also being the type who explains nothing and who really doesn’t understand his little brother. kyle being affectionate and great but not understanding anything that’s going on. i think he would probably be the type to give good advice anyway. like the situations he’s imagining or even using as reference are totally normal and have nothing to do with the situation at hand, but is still somehow the perfect advice for the situation at hand. like wes ends up getting pulled into one of the superhero situations and meeting other aliens for the first time, and kyle just takes it as, ‘oh you’re meeting knew people? other conspiracy theorist. bro that’s great. here’s how you make friends.” and wes is going on a riff on how he has no idea what species they are or if there’s any sort of grudges or racism between alien races. and kyle is like “oh they’re foreigners? i knew this swedish exchange student. miscommunications happen, but so long as you’re both trying, things will turn out fine, my brother.”
wes is struggling. but so he eventually gets outed as an alien, and has his character development and panic attacks and so on. he’s a fun character because he’s neurotic enough to act in extremes. going into paranoid isolation, looking everywhere for bugs or white vans. and he’d be trying to train his powers as fast as possible so he’d have a way to defend himself.
when he finally goes to the spooks for help they present a united front, that’s both intimidating and pretty gay because none of them know how to sit like a straight person. i don’t have strong feelings on their sexualities, but not straight is a safe assumption. even works in with the history of monsters being used as metaphorical stand ins for lgbtq people. there’s narrative groundwork for it, and also i’m just queer and down for character i like also being queer. anyway, they spend a whole chunk of the night teasing him and making him grovel for all the trouble he gave them. they don’t make it easy for him and force a litteral verbal apology from him.
but they do help him in the end and relax somewhat afterwards. i don’t think they’ll trust him for a while yet.. he burned a lot of bridges and has a bed habit of not respecting boundaries. that would be an ironic way for him to prove useful actually. he’s stupidly good at observation, so he’s usially the first to know when someone’s or something is off. he is actually weirdly attentive and good at sensing mood changes and problems. like it’s still creepy initially. like why do you know how many times i blink dude? but still it proves useful over time.
i could also see wes, having discovered how effective his cassandra powers are, just... telling the truth to cover for them. it’s like, if no one’s going to believe him anyway, he might as well develop the blunted delivery ever and tell people he told them so when they finally catch on.
star: where is val anyway? wes: she joined the justice league and is away on a mission star: hah, yeah right, nerd wes staring into the camera blank faced and soooo tired
the sad thing is he might get in trouble for lying and making up stories. he is the most honest person in amity at this point. pity him.
his adventure mainly involves figuring out his powers, reluctantly getting involved with the spooks, and yes covering for them. he’s neurotic enough that i can see things getting pretty chaotic for him just dealing with his civilian live and being surrounded by so much paranormal stuff. he probably would be motivated to regain some of the friendships he’d ruined by being so obsessive. i could see him trying to regain popularity at some point, trying to escape the conspiracy theorist title.his relationship with his brothers and his improving relationships with the others can also be it’s own thing. now i’m imagining wes getting pulled on random adventured into the others lives (because no one else was available) and realizing he’s in way over his head. there are also several solid moments of “i could have died. i could have died so many times.” lets be real, if his friends weren’t heroes, they could all individually one shot him out of existence. that realization is only starting to sink in.
he eventually settles in the man in a chair role. tucker had started there, and then later jazz. they all have their techniques and such. tucker covering tech and hacking, jazz mental resources and emotional well being, and wes research has it’s benefits. but i could also see some initial tension. mainly because tucker doesn’t want wes reading his files.or messing up his desk set up.
i’d like for wes to eventually find his place with them, despite the rocky start. val would eventually start introducing him to the aliens in the league and they’d start trying to determine where he’s from and they can eventually have adventures with that. but for the time being, wes is his own worse enemy. he is his own antagonist and honestly that’s valid and relatable of him.
i don’t know if these posts have enough traction yet to produce a fic series and i don’t really want to put the leg work in for that. but i ma having fun just brainstorming with you, so lets roll with that. - Hestia

Ghosts vampire/werewolf au lore??? 👀
I did write a bit about it here, in case you haven’t see it ( https://www.tumblr.com/blog/view/spacerangersam/689661464978604032?source=share ) but like, always happy to talk more about my aus asdfgh.
Also, I don’t know if you mean lore about how specifically vampires/werewolves work in this au or just, general info about this au, so I'll give you a bit of both. Sorry in advance for how long this is.
So, for the world itself, I imagine it's one where all humans know that supernatural beings exist, but it's like, generally hard to find them
It's like spotting a wild fox- very cool, but mindblowing. Certainly, no one's bringing out their pitchforks to hunt them down
Well, some people are, but that's a very small minority, and it's universally considered a bit of a dick move
And there are plenty of supernatural beings who live in human cities and whatnot, but it's not common
Especially with vampires
Speaking of: vampires don't turn into bats, they turn into a pile of writhing leeches. I remember someone telling me that was an idea Bram Stoker originally had before the bats, and while I can't find a source for that, I love it so it's vampire canon to me now
Alison is horrified when this first happens
Vampires can be seen in mirrors/photographs, as long as there's no silver lining/or silver in the film.
They can go in the sun with a lot of sunscreen on, but it's still a big risk. it's best to be careful and get a skincare potion from a witch
And with the Buttons specifically - the reason there's only that small handful left is simply that most Buttons, when turned into vampires, immediately leave the manor
Who can blame them? being stuck with your entire family for all of eternity sounds horrible
George did try to kill Stephanie like in canon back when she was still human, but either Humphrey or Kitty found and turned her just in time
Later down the line, she returned the favour to Captain, who was using the house as a base during WW2 but became incredibly ill
But was it a normal illness, or something else? Who knows.
There's no a/b/o stuff with the werewolves, I cannot stress this enough. Packs are either family groups, or like, a group of friends. If there are any leaders, then they're the parents or the most parent-like
Sort of on that note, Pat still does scouting, but his group is pretty much exclusively made up of cubs from the plague pack, named as such because they were all turned during the black plague
Werewolves turn you through scratches, vampires through biting, but it has to be intentional. A werewolf can scratch you, but unless they’re doing it with the aim to turn you, the only thing it will do is hurt
Why? No one knows. It’s magic
Unlike vampires, werewolves can be born. So Pat, Daley, and Robin were all born vampires, whereas Mary, Thomas and Alison were turned
I'd like to think it was Robin who turned Mary. Maybe she tried to help him when he got injured in his wolf form once, so when he saw the witchfinders coming, he ran ahead and offered to turn her to save her
She agreed, and they made their own little two-person pact
Skip ahead a few decades and after Thomas is turned, the Buttons essentially demand that they take him in
Skip ahead a bit further and the trio meet Pat wandering the woods sadly, fresh from his divorce, missing his pack
He joins the group they become a proper pack.
Daley visits, when his mum lets him
Pat and Cap definitely have like, a frenemies to lovers thing going on. Everyone is aware of this except for Pat and Cap
And despite the tension between the Buttons and the Pack, plenty of them are still friends. Julian and Robin still play chest together, Kitty and Marry hang out a lot- it’s mostly Stephanie and Cap causing the tension
Every full moon werewolves are forced to turn into their wolf form, but they don’t lose control. That’s only for red moons and eclipse, and even then, it’s more like…you know in H20 how the girls would get kind of loopy around full moons? It’s like that
But on normal full moons they have a movie night and just like, pile up on each other and cuddle
Kitty and Julian are sometimes invited
The Pack all live together in a house nearby to the Button’s manor, but it’s a lot smaller and in the woods.
Pat bought it because before then they were just sort of, roughing it in the woods. Not because they couldn’t find/afford somewhere, but because they just didn’t think to
You’ve heard of Alison seeing Cap as a father figure, now get ready for her seeing Pat as a father figure
And oh yeah of course he sees her as a daughter. She's a young fatherless person in his pack? No, he's her dad now, end of. And Daley definitely sees her and Mike as his older siblings.
Mike and Daley would definitely get into a lot of hijinks…definitely
Uh, this is getting long so I better stop, but before that, one last point: since Humphrey is connected with his body here, and to make up for the no turning into bats thing, Humphrey has a pet bat called Body. It’s a Salem situation, you know? A bastard that’s been stuck in the form of an animal to pay for his crimes
But the only one who pays is Humphrey
…okay, think I’m done for now

That's the thing about their writing of him and the way they wanted to portray him was basically as they said "How to humanize that lone wolf, Ghost" which lead to the story we got in MWII. It was about him before and him now, I'm not saying he's broken but clearly writers aren't shy of the concept or idea, especially the way he was described in MW2019 as a person that basically had to abandon his humanity in some cases so it really isn't far off. Married SAS soldiers do exist, whether they are rare or not, i don't see how this has anything to do with Ghost though. I think he's someone that would never want to put his partner through that, especially in his line of work where he could die at any time. As for aro/ace i think it's because people that fall on this spectrum can see Ghost like that and relate to him so his certain behaviours are familiar to them i suppose.
Also, about Samuel Roukin, i definitely agree that he's the best Ghost actor, i literally adore his performance. I'm just sad that people made fun of his datamined appearance in game and he even liked that post, i swear CoD fandom is riddled with all sorts of bigots, but mostly toxic masculinity and homophobes. Anyways, this is the last ask I'll be sending, i don't want to impose or clog your inbox. ✌️
I would love to see a story where Ghost had to abandon his humanity. It could be a campaign or another comic. I just want to see more of him.
I mentioned that there are married SAS to point out that being in the SAS hasn’t stopped people from getting married. I think he’s just afraid to be betrayed or to lose someone.
Oh no worries. You can send as much asks as you want. I barely get any. This is fun 🤩. I looovvveee talking about Ghost. Thanks for the ask🥰

I just prefer Danny looking scary even while he's alive.
Really tall but gaunt looking.
Well, that's where our preferences differ because I don't like it when people look gaunt and sickly and like they haven't eaten or slept in days, especially since Danny definitely eats and sleeps, even if it's as much sleep as a parent of an infant child (3-4 hours, sparsely, in and out of sleep all night).
I think if Danny did look scary, he'd do everything he can to change that at every opportunity. Gaunt? Eat and sleep. Unnerving to look at? Okay, what does he need to adjust to make himself look more human and not get shot by a ghost-hunter even in human form? Workout? He can workout, go to the gym, get some muscle, whatever makes him look human and not stand out. Being pretty much invisible, even as a human, is what is safest for him. As a ghost, he doesn't want to scare people so he would adjust little things that would scare people. Pointy ears? That's fine. Sharper teeth? Eh...just a few, no need to look like a shark. Go for wolf. Skin? Paper-white or what he had before. Clothes? Stick with the superhero look.
For the Ghost King stuff, he would probably let himself look intimidating, just because most of the ghosts only listen to violence and intimidation and he needs them to listen to him. But, around humans, he tries to look as non-threatening as possible, to the point of being mistaken for a human during the day because his glow isn't as strong. Plus, he could find a way to hide his aura, like Dora did for that beauty contest episode, but that seems redundant when he has a human form to revert to.

magic potion gone wrong (did it?)
collab m.list | skz m.list
pairing: mage!hwang hyunjin x gn ghost!reader
wc: 1,2k
genres: fluff, attempt at humor, fantasy
summary: hyunjin just wants to get a familiar
tw: mentions of death and vomit, bittersweet ending
notes: this is my entry for the wilting wisteria fic collab hosted by the wonderful @decembermoonskz!! (i’m so sorry for the delay izzy😭) hope you like it, feedback is appreciated<3
Tumblr media
Hwang Hyunjin is a powerful mage who likes to experiment.
Tonight, he tries to make a potion that, according to his ancient book, can summon a familiar. He had always wanted one.
All the ingredients he needs are displayed on the table, from the dried daffodils to the black mamba’s venomous fangs. He adds ingredient after ingredient without forgetting to stir when needed. He’s been thinking about this for so long, he has the whole recipe memorized.
However, in his haste, he accidentally drops droplets of white deer’s tears in the mixture. Why is it so close to the beetle eyes anyway?
Usually, he’s more careful, but getting a familiar is a meaningful project of his since he was eight. He had never accepted one from anyone, he by far prefers being chosen, which is admirable if you ask me. He finally gets to do it tonight because he just obtained the final, most precious ingredient he couldn't get before:
A 15cm hair from the person making the potion (maybe the person who invented this potion loved long hair, who knows?). He has been growing his hair for this sole purpose for more than two years.
Hyunjin delicately places his one strand of hair in the fuming potion and beams.
At least until the concoction takes an unexpected dark color and starts bubbling. The recipe said the potion should be taking a light blue color. He stares with horror as the cauldron is trembling, the liquid forming a sphere elevating at a good three meters above it. The mage takes a few steps back to have a better view and squints his eyes as he helplessly watches the mixture changing shape to form a human one.
He’s beyond baffled when you open your eyes, floating where the potion once was.
Your body is tangible, you're real and alive and you can’t see through your hands like you always thought you would. You look around, seriously wondering why you're in the middle of the forest and the trees are small. Looking down, you realize you don’t touch the ground and start panicking, but you don’t have time to worry too much as you're slowly being pulled down until your feet touch the grass.
At last, your eyes fall on the young man next to you. “You’re neither Satan or Hades, I guess.” Your voice is ghost-like, distant like an echo, but you don't seem to pay it any attention.
“And you're definitely not a familiar,” he murmurs, mouth agape.
He shakes his head and, with one flick of his fingers, he’s back in his home with you, the cauldron and the table with all the ingredients.
His house is cosy, but large enough for a wolf pack to fit. There's plants and bocals of stuff you’re uninterested in (mostly due to the way they look) almost everywhere, and the wooden walls look like they've lived several lives.
“How did you do that?” you ask, turning around to find a logical, coherent explanation for what just happened.
“Magic,” he simply says, rummaging through his books to understand what went wrong.
Curiosity taking the best of you, you walk closer to him to watch his movements. He looks distressed, you note, and the scribbles on one of his manuscripts tell you he's been working on whatever this is for a long while.
“Where did I mess up? I followed the recipe correctly,” he mumbles to himself.
He goes through the ingredients he gathered earlier and his eyes fall on the white deer's tears. Realization hits and he goes back to his books again for a minute before turning to you, declaring in a tired sigh, “you're a ghost.”
You fight the urge to roll your eyes. “I know that much, thank you…?”
“Oh, Hyunjin.”
“Hyunjin, I remember dying.”
“I’m sorry.” He’s genuine, and it makes you wonder who he has lost.
“It’s not your fault. I’m Y/N, by the way.”
“Nice to meet you. I wish it was under better circumstances, though.”
“Yeah, me too. Do you have any idea why I’m here?”
He hums then shrugs. “Not a clue. I was trying to summon a familiar.”
“So you're really a witch?”
“A mage, but yeah, basically.”
“Wicked. Can you bring me back to life?” you ask out of curiosity, you have nothing to lose at this point.
He looks uncomfortable. “Huh. No, I don’t do dark magic.”
“But it’s possible?!”
“Theoretically.”
“Alright then, it was worth a try. Can you bring me back where I’m supposed to be, then?”
“I… don’t know.” He blushes, shoulders slumped.
“Now, that’s not useful,” you remark, a pout forming on your lips.
“Let me search through…”
“Your books,” you finish for him, “yeah, no problem.”
While he works on what he does best, you visit his home and garden.
The amount of herbs and bocals the young man owns is insane. You had no idea magic existed. How could you not see it? Comforting yourself in the idea that mages knew how to camouflage themselves from humans, you smell pretty flowers outside.
“Don't, they’re poisonous!” Hyunjin warns from the door, and you just stare at him with a raised brow. “You're supposed to turn purple and vomit, so I guess ghosts are immune.”
He shrugs and goes back in. You smile, resuming your wandering.
“I found something,” he yells from the inside of his home around an hour later.
You’re by his side in a heartbeat. “I’m listening.”
“I might be able to revert my mistake, and let you go back where you’re from,” he informs you.
You’re relieved, but also a little sad to leave so soon, when you just discovered a new world.
The mage works on the potion immediately, only gathering the right ingredients this time. Once he’s good to go, he flicks his fingers and you’re back in the forest, under the shiny moon. You watch him do his magic (quite literally) from a distance, amazed and intrigued.
It takes twenty minutes to be ready —as much as a good risotto—, Hyunjin puts a ladle of potion in a cup and offers it to you.
“This is it, then, huh?” you say with a half smile, cautiously taking it from him.
“I guess, yeah.”
“Alright. Was nice knowing you. Till we meet again, Hyunjin,” you raise your glass. Well, your cup.
It feels weird, like you just drank a mixture of grass and strawberries. Your vision blurs, you faintly see your new friend waving goodbye until there’s only darkness.
When you open your eyes, the boy is gone, the forest, the table and the cauldron too. You don’t feel anything, like you don’t have a body anymore. Just a wandering soul, memory erased, waiting for a new body to jump into.
On the side of the living, Hyunjin regrets making the potion so soon, even though the recipe clearly says ‘the lost soul must return to the afterlife as soon as possible, or it could cause terrible effects on both worlds’. He thought it was a bit dramatic, but didn’t want to see what would happen either. He wanted to show you his familiar, which is an arctic fox, by the way, and show you his world.
None of that’s possible now. But he met someone different today, and won’t ever forget you and your little time spent together.

Ever since I discovered asoiaf meta YouTube channels, I've been looking harder into small subtleties in GRRM's wording and such and discovered this:
Jon Snow takes a cell within Hardin's tower at Castle Black because the novices and Black Brothers can chose where they want to sleep because there's so much room.
The name Hardin means: as a name for boys is of Old English origin, and the meaning of the name Hardin is "valley of the hares". Hardin is a variant form of Harden (Old English): place name.
Now, this doesn't tell us much if anything. So I googled the what hares represent/symbolise and got this result: The rabbit as well as the hare have been associated with moon deities and may signify rebirth or resurrection. They may also be symbols of fertility or sensuality, and they appear in depictions of hunting and spring scenes in the Labours of the Months.
This honestly gobsmacked me because, if chosen with intent by GRRM, he's just pretty much given us the result of Jon's 'death'.
Also, hares/rabbits are associated with moon deities. Who has been compared with the moon? Daenerys, Azhor Ahai, Nissa Nissa, and a myth about dragons.
Azhor Ahai was Nissa's husband, who stabbed her to forge the sword Lightbringer.
"To finish his sword, he drove it through Nissa Nissa's breast. Her blood, soul, strength, and courage went into the steel of the sword, creating Lightbringer. Nissa Nissa's cry of anguish and ecstasy left a crack across the face of the moon."
Daenerys is often called "Moon of my life" by Khal Drogo, and she calls him "My sun and stars." And these expressions come from Dothraki mythology, in which the sun is the husband of the moon. She's literally called Moon.
The Qartheen myth of where dragons come from does tie in with Nissa Nissa and Azhor Ahai to me, and I'll explain below:
In Qarth, tales state dragons came from a second moon in the sky, which was scalded by the sun and cracked like an egg, and a million dragons poured forth.
If we look at Nissa's cry of anguish cracking the surface of the moon, we could correlate that myth with the second moon cracking by the scalding of the sun, aka Lightbringer, and dragons pouring forth. (We could also correlate Azhor's sword actually being an innuendo for his penis, and the anguished cry Nissa's orgasm, and the "crack on the surface of the moon" being the fertilisation of Nissa's egg in her womb and Lightbringer actually being a human (Jon or Dany I think, if this is true))
Now about labours of the Months: The term Labours of the Months refers to cycles in Medieval and early Renaissance art depicting in twelve scenes the rural activities that commonly took place in the months of the year. They are often linked to the signs of the Zodiac, and are seen as humankind's response to God's ordering of the Universe.
According to the Internet, hares/rabbits are seen in paintings depicting spring and hunting in the Labours of the Months, as said above.
Also, Jon has the companion Ghost, who is a wolf, and wolves are often associated with the moon; and Ghost is as pale as the moon due to being albino. White wolves symbolize love, hope, courage, compassion, and faith. They symbolize the power of survival and the ability to survive in every situation.
If all of this was done intentionally by GRRM, I think it tells a lot about the outcome of Jon's "death." I don't think he's truly dead, or he'll be resurrected.
Why did Jon choose Hardin's tower when there were so many other cells to chose from? I think it was intentionally done by GRRM, and it's definitely interesting.

Hello, Lady Connor! I want to ask out of unbearable, suffocating curiosity in my heart, even though in the previous post you already said to not mention "that certain comic". Could you please enlighten me about your view on that comic and what you despise about it? I would love to read your detailed thoughts about it even if just once. But if this is too triggering for you, I'm truly sorry for your discomfort and you don't need to answer it.
Hello, dear Anon and welcome ^-^ It's weird you naturally called me Lady Connor, as usually only my little fairy @giuliettaluce does. Well, I guess her magic put a spell on everybody here!!
If you really care to know, I'll answer, but brace yourself, it's going to be very long, almost an essay, because I can be very detailed about that comic being a failure in its every part. There's so much to say. You're right, as I mentioned before, it can trigger me, but I have attentively analized it and I know it makes not a single atom of sense. So nothing can actually bother me that much, don't worry ^_-
First of all, my general consideration of the AC Reflections comic issue #4, (yeah, that thing -.-) is that of a mere attempt to desperately make Bayek's remote vision through Senu's eyes a canon feature. It was created and published in 2017, the same year AC Origins was released and yes, they needed an excuse to make believe Connor's alleged daughter inherited a skill someone (who isn't even their direct ancestor!!) that lived 1700 years ago in ancient Egypt had! OMG, this should be funny enough, but I'll go on. Also, I think it was likely a carelessly arranged way to satisfy those AC3 fans demanding a "happy ending" for unlucky Connor (quite 5 years later, of course).
I'll better go step by step to figure out where to start from, seriously.
1) In the comic, when Otso Berg opens the file related to Connor, the scene is set in "1796: Upstate New York." Now this is chronologically and spacially incoherent and illogical. We see Connor still wears his assassin outfit in it, right? According to AC Initiates (2012) in 1804 Connor invites the Dominican assassin Eseosa at the Davenport homestead to provide him some advices and further training as he's involved in the leading of the Haitian Revolution. That's a really cool character, read about him, if you want!
Tumblr media
So, until then Connor is still an assassin, probably the mentor (by now) of the Colonial Brotherhood. He still runs the homestead and he still commands the Aquila, I guess, he's the captain still. I calculated the distance between the homestead and the then upper NY frontier territories is approximately 260 miles (quite far nowadays with cars and planes as well). Then, why the hell should he have a family located in the forest upstate NY? It sounds very unconfortable to run back and forth to reach them and go back to take care of all the Brotherhood matters, doesn't it? Unless he knew about teleportation!!! Also, wow, he lives all alone in a nice massive villa with all the comforts of that time while his children and wife still live in a Native village constantly menaced by settlers wanting to steal their land? Beside the fact that Connor, at least in my point of view, seemed at last very familiar with european way of living by the end of the game, this leads us to the next point.
2) By the time the game and the comic are set (second half of 18th century), most of the East Coast Native tribes were facing the tragic and forced migration to western and northern territories (mostly towards Canada, protected by the British) because of all the consequences of the Revolutionary War (lost territories, failed alliances, settlers advancing and buying their lands and so on). So tells us history, unfortunately. It's a fact. And this is wisely showed to us in the AC3 main game when, after all the Kanien'kehá:ka tribes had left the territory around Connor's village (yes, even those near New York, to be clear) even Connor's own tribe at last migrates west, leaving an empty ghost village. They had remained all along to protect the secret temple, but in the end they as well were forced to leave. So, to me it's highly improbable that in upstate NY, one could still find a tribe and even if so, that Connor would let his family live there and risk their safety everyday.
3) The whole comic plot revolves around the fact that Io:nhiòte has a "special gift"... She inexplicably knows how to read the ground and find animal traces, she also can perform a perfect twisted acrobatic flip in the air and land unharmed to the ground. Do we know why? No, don't ask! xD She simply knows U.U, even if right after the next scene she slips and falls miserably down a cliff xD, but... ok!! Beside that, when Connor is far away to search for some water and is about to be attacked by a wolf hidden in the grass nearby, she sees the whole scene from the eyes of an eagle flying in the sky above her. As I said before, this reminds us of Bayek's (never clearly explained) ability to see through his eagle Senu's eyes and spot dangers and enemies. Now can you tell me why the hell this little girl has super powers and a skill Bayek had? As I said, they are not even directely related, as Bayek is not one of Desmond Miles' ancestor, we know him simply because Layla's new Animus is magical and can inexplicably read fragmented DNA from people who died a thousand years ago (it can also prepair coffee, I think!). So, where did she get that from? Magic? Mysteries of life? Convenient improbable connections for marketing's sake? We'll never know and you should simply accept that and ask no question!
4) From her height, way of speaking/moving/running, I assume Io:nhiòte is at least 8 years old, 8 - 9 minimum. She's the youngest of three siblings, who must be at least two years older than her and than each other (according to a human woman pregnancy timing!). If the comic events are set 12 years after the main game ending (1784, when Connor also starts to train the young ex-slave Patience Gibbs, arriving at the Davenport homestead with Aveline De Grandpré, according to AC IV Black Flag bonus mission with Aveline), so, this means that in that same year Connor must have found hastily the love of his life in a Native village (as if he was easy to open himself with other people after all he's been through), married her, impregnated her and seen her give birth to their first child, all in the same year when (let's not foget! xD) he still is the leader of the Colonial Assassin Brotherhood at the Davenport homestead training novices. Now, this may even be possible humanly speaking, (well, if you force the things a bit and hurry up!) but highly unlikely to happen!! xD
These are the main problems affecting the logic of the comic in my opinion, the points making its foundations crumble apart. Though I'm sure there are many little others to point out, such as Otso Berg "opening" Connor's files... like what? Where did those data come out from? I remember playing AC IV Black Flag and uncovering a file where Abstergo researchers themselves closed access to his memories as there was "nothing appealing to this character anymore"! So, if no more researches were conducted on him since 2013, where did Mr Berg magically or conveniently discovered such data in 2017?
Or... do we want to talk about the cover? It shows Connor in the spirit outfit from the Tyranny of King Washington DLC, which has apparently nothing to do with the comic, since it is set in his present day and he wears his assassin standard robe. Now, I think that can be either a simple marketing choice to make the comic more appealing, as... well, that cover is so cool, let's admit that, or maybe the subtle suggestion that the events told in it are just a parallel Disney-like reality and are not to be considered true at all! xD i don't know, maybe both explanations are right.
I'm sure that the deeper i dig, the more nothing rational I'll find!
If you played the old games, if you know well the franchise and its lore, the true, good, old AC lore, you definitely realize by yourself how that comic is useless and senseless.
This doesn't mean I do not wish an "happy ending" for Connor. But I'd rather accept something coherent with the main game events and AC chronology. Also, it doesn't necessarily needs to be a "happy" ending, as they conveniently created to please complaining fans. I wished for something real... coherent with his personality, acquired life-style and endless sense of duty and values.
Maybe that's what pushed me to write my FanFic novel in the first place, after all... To give him MY OWN cohesive ending, including my love, for love is always needed, I guess.
I'm so sorry if the answer took this long in time and words, but you were warned! ^w^
Though, thank you... Seriously, thank you so much for asking. You made me reflect once more about this matter.
Come visit me again, if you want. Take care
- Rumor Imbris 🦋
P.S. Oh, and if you're interested, this is my "jelousy song", for when things like this trigger my inner witch!! xD

1. The 1 by Taylor Swift
“But it would've been fun
If you would've been the one”
As we start the playlist, Luke and Alex are taking a wistful look back on their relationship in the 90s now that they’ve moved on to other people.
2. Coming Clean by Green Day
“Seventeen and strung out on confusion
Trapped inside a roll of disillusion
I found out what it takes to be a man
Now mom and dad will never understand”
Back in the 90s, both Luke and Alex are coming to terms with their sexualities.
3. Smells Like Teen Spirit
“With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us”
Sunset Curve were working towards popularity right at the height of the grunge scene, and I would assume that both Luke and Alex heard quite a bit of this song as teenagers.
4. Now or Never by Sunset Curve
“Keep dreaming like we'll live forever
But live it like it's now or never”
How could I not include Sunset Curve’s own song? They like living in the moment, and that includes their love lives.
5. Everlong by the Foo Fighters
“And I wonder
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when”
When you go through adolescence, you crave intimacy with other people. This song exemplifies what Luke and Alex want from each other- to be able to feel, and to be able to experience those feelings on a deeper level.
6. Ocean Size by Jane’s Addiction
“Wish I was ocean size
They cannot move you, man
No one tries
No one pulls you
Out from your hole
Like a tooth aching a jawbone”
Jane’s Addiction was another LA rock band of this time period, and these lyrics about wanting to be powerful like the ocean and having to leave your home really remind me of Luke.
7. All Apologies by Nirvana
“What else should I be?
All apologies
What else should I say?
Everyone is gay”
This song is Kurt Cobain ironically apologizing for his cynical attitude, including the line “everyone is gay” to mock homophobes. It reminds me of Alex- he doesn’t want to be “married and buried”; he is rebelling against his parents’ definition of a correct lifestyle.
8. Freaking Out The Neighborhood by Max DeMarco
“And I know it's no fun
When your first son
Gets up to no good
Starts freaking out the neighborhood”
Emily Patterson and Alex’s mom were probably both pretty appalled by their sons effectively joining the counterculture. At this point, both Luke and Alex are starting to express themselves more, comfortable in who they are and what they want.
9. Hangout With You by Diners
“All I want
Is to talk with you now
And I know that you've got time
You are constantly on my mind
Yes I know that you've got time
To hang out with me
Tonight”
Luke has begun to realize that he likes Alex, and in true Luke fashion, can’t stop thinking about it.
10. Affection by Between Friends
“I'm laying on the floor
We're drinking 'cause we're bored
Oh, I'm looking for affection in all the wrong places
And we'll keep falling on each other to fill the empty spaces”
One night, it all comes out- their feelings and desires- and they decide to begin some kind of friends with benefits type of situation. This song feels like it’s from Luke’s perspective to me.
11. gold rush by Taylor Swift
“What must it be like
To grow up that beautiful?
With your hair falling into place like dominos
I see me padding 'cross your wooden floors
With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door
At dinner parties
I call you out on your contrarian shit
And the coastal town
We wandered 'round had never
Seen a love as pure as it
And then it fades into the gray of my day old tea
'Cause you know it could never be”
Luke is a magnetic person, attracting everyone, and Alex finds him beautiful. He is in awe of him, but he’s also scared about having feelings he doesn’t know how to handle. This song kind of shows Alex’s internal monologue.
12. Can We Kiss Forever? by Kina
“I tried to reach you, I can't hide
How strong's the feeling when we dive
I crossed the ocean of my mind
My wounds are healing with the salt
All my senses intensified
Whenever you and I, we dive”
This song describes their first kiss, obscured from the world, in my mind. Plus, there’s ocean metaphors. You can’t go wrong with that.
13. 18 by Anarbor
“So if you wanna piss off your parents
Date me to scare them
Show them you're all grown up
If long hair and tattoos are what attract you
Baby, then you're in luck
And I know it's just a phase
You're not in love with me
You wanna piss off your parents, baby
That's alright with me”
Luke knows Alex isn’t in love with him, but they both want to try new things. Bonus points for this song having references to frayed parent-child relationships.
14. Boys Will Be Boys by Miles McKenna
“That graduation day, it never came for you and me
Couple drop-out kids, a shotgun wedding's all we need
Sorry, Mom, Sorry, Dad
Better luck next time
A couple packs a day, pierced nose and tattoos on our legs
No strangers to pretend, we've always been too proud to beg
Sorry, Mom, Sorry, Dad
Better luck next time
Boys will be boys”
This song referencing a “couple of drop out kids” just going with the flow made me think of how Sunset Curve probably never would have finished high school.
15. Just Like You by Three Days Grace
“You thought you were there to guide me, you were only in my way
You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you
I could be mean
I could be angry
You know I could be just like you.”
Both Luke and Alex have tons of resentment for their parents, obviously.
16. Sunstroke by Less Than Jake
“We've all been living proof
That time won't wait or choose
We know it ticks on without me and you
And I can't have both sides
Letting go or holding tight
I'm burning bright tonight”
This song about being stubborn and time not waiting really reminded me of Luke, plus the foreshadowing of them becoming ghosts and adapting to a whole new world.
17. Saint Bernard by Lincoln
“Saint Calvin told me not to worry about you
But he's got his own things to deal with
There's really just one thing that we have in common
Neither of us will be missed”
This song just made me think about Alex and his Catholic guilt.
18. Bedroom Hymns by Florence and the Machine
“This is a good a place to fall as any
We'll build our altar here
Make me your Maria
I'm already on my knees
You had Jesus on your breath
And I caught Him in mine
Sweating out confessions
The undone and the divine
This is his body, this is his love
Such selfish prayers and I can't get enough, oh”
Part 2 of Alex and his Catholic guilt. Their relationship has become more carnal, and this song maybe gives a little of Alex’s perspective into that time.
19. Church by Fall Out Boy
“And if death is the last appointment
Then we're all just sitting in the waiting room
I am just a human trying to avoid my certain doom
If you were church, yeah
I'd get on my knees”
Here ends the trilogy of songs with religious references. This song is heady and sensual and also includes some nice foreshadowing of their deaths.
20. Bros by Wolf Alice
“Shake your hair, have some fun
Forget our mothers and past lovers, forget everyone
Oh, I'm so lucky, you are my best friend
Oh, there's no one, there's no one who knows me like you do
Are your lights still on?
I'll keep you safe
If you keep me strong”
Here’s another song from Luke’s perspective- talking about forgetting mothers, being best friends, and keeping Alex safe, as long as Alex keeps him strong.
21. Slip Away by Perfume Genius
“Don't look back, I want to break free
If you'll never see 'em coming
You'll never have to hide
Take my hand, take my everything
If we only got a moment
Give it to me now
They'll never break the shape we take
Baby, let all them voices slip away”
Alex struggles with losing his family over his sexuality, and Luke helps him through it.
22. Make Out In My Car by Sufjan Stevens
“I'm not trying to
Go to bed with you
I just wanna make out in my car
And though I'm dying to
Fall in love with you
I just wanna make out in my car”
Another great song about just wanting to exist with someone, about wanting touch and feel and create. They don’t want to fall in love, they just want to be.
23. I Exist I Exist I Exist by Flatsound
“I remember the way you shook
Its a shame that we're not soul mates
Because if i didn't know better
I'd say this feels pretty good
How could i be scared?
When i stretch and feel that you're there
So shut your mouth
Because these words will speak themselves
I can feel them in these blankets
And they're surrounding your figure
Embraced in the quilts
And i cant help but think
You're my missing puzzle piece”
This song is so beautiful- with references to helping a partner through anxiety, and being just like ones mother... a lot of this dynamic in my mind is Luke and Alex reminding each other that they exist, that life is wide and bright, that they’re alive. This gives a window into Luke’s inner feelings as well.
24. Come on, Mess Me Up by Cub Sport
“I found comfort, I fell in love with avoiding problems
But I want this, you know I want this
So come on, mess me up
And you can break me, if you'll still take me
Ruin me, if you'll let me be one of the ones you say you won't forget”
At some point, they become more reckless about their feelings, a little less level headed about their arrangement. Intimacy is an escape.
25. Please Never Fall In Love Again by Ollie MN
“This is what it's like to be lovers
You and me need never be lonely again
Spin with me endlessly or at least until the end
Please never fall in love again”
As usually happens with these arrangements, feelings are caught. Luke and Alex consider making things more serious.
26. Can I Call You Tonight? by Dayglow
“Batteries drain, I get the memo
I think that I might have to let you go
So can I call you tonight?
I'm trying to make up my mind
Just how I feel
Could you tell me what's real?”
The end of their relationship is near, and Alex is unsure. You can decide if this takes place before or after they die.
27. Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
“I never dreamed that I'd meet somebody like you
And I never dreamed that I'd lose somebody like you
No, I don't wanna fall in love with you”
Eventually these relationships all start to feel like games, don’t they?
28. Perfect by The Smashing Pumpkins
“So far I still know who you are
But now I wonder who I was
Angel, you know it's not the end
We'll always be good friends”
Another song about the end of a relationship, and finding yourself again. There’s a bit of resentment there, but they are learning to be friends again.
29. Miss Missing You by Fall Out Boy
“Maybe I'll burn a little brighter tonight
Let the fire breathe me back to life
Baby you were my picket fence
I miss missing you, now and then”
They’ve gotten over each other and become friends again, but are still nostalgic for the past. Bonus points for references about coming back to life.
30. Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day
“For what it's worth
It was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
But in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life”
Ah yes, the song everyone uses to commemorate bittersweet ends- it’s the perfect clincher for this playlist.
I hope you all enjoy listening!
