So quick some insight for my handling of Eli and Robbie in my Firefighter AU.

I'll be writing Robbie and Eli similar to someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder (what used to be Split Personality Disorder) so much so that the Avengers will have it on his file to cover up/excuse his actions when Eli is in control. Robbie and Eli will have their own sets of skills that'll come in handy throughout the story, notably Eli's knowledge of the criminal underworld and knowing Russian while only Robbie will know ASL. I'm still brainstorming before I put pen on paper but I'm thinking of them being at a point in time Eli can be trusted to have the body more often, with Robbie essentially living two lives instead of one, kind of like a Moon Knight situation (Robbie's being one of modernity and Eli still relying on 80s-90s tech)

Also on a fun note I will be giving Eli glasses when he has control over Robbie's body, it's just a working idea but some form of presbyopia (age-related farsightedness). Only because I currently need glasses now for bluelight sensitivity and I feel like the idea of Eli needing them and Robbie not would help people like Gabe and Lisa to know who's in control at a moment's notice just by looking.

She'd be Robbie's ex (Pre-Lisa) in this AU and work alongside the Rider. I was curious how'd you'd have her react to Robbie having a prosthetic leg, coming back from the God Quarry and returning to his "normal" life, the Firefighter gig, etc.

So I need some advice on how to write Robbie as ambidextrous without making it overly obvious and simply stating it , in my AU Robbie is truly ambidextrous while Eli is strictly a lefty so I'm trying to figure out how to write it because as someone who was ambidextrous for part of my life (left dominant currently to injuries with my right hand when I was younger) the only obvious part outwardly is switching my watch back and forth from one wrist to the other and doing certain tasks with one hand over the other due to preference and comfort so translating that into a story format is stumping me because for someone like Robbie who's a mechanic he'd frequently use both hands almost equally while working and bridging into firefighting there's hardly any equipment that's hand specific aside from trauma shears and some personal handheld items but even those are more often than not shaped in a way to be used with either hand

Realizing the irony in something as I write out stuff for my Ghost Rider Firefighter AU.

Eli was alive and actively killing people during the height of Los Angeles' serial killer era alongside the likes of The Nightstalker, Golden State Killer, and the rest of the 1980s-1990s Los Angeles based killers and even canonically has a higher kill count than even the likes of Dahmer or Bundy but yet he is now part of the Ghost Rider who is responsible for avenging innocents and taking down the very things Eli once was.

@wazzappp @cicada-candy @belushiii working on the ANGR/Firefighter AU and putting some stuff on paper I came to make the villian of the story Muse (from Daredevil) since I feel he'd make Robbie's life as a firefighter and as Ghost Rider a living hell.. well, more hell than it usually is.. since he's have to rescue/respond to mangled bodies and gore when Muse makes his art pieces and with Muse not having eyes and (seemingly) not being human it'd render the Penance Stare useless or worse deflect it back onto Robbie when he tries it on Muse. Not to mention, Muse is a more twisted parallel version of Eli, and that raises so many possibilities of angst between him and Robbie.

On a lighter note I did iron out that Lisa would be a paramedic and Gabe would have a civilian job within the station on days off from school/on weekends like being a secretary or work the call tower (kinda like a 911 Dispatcher but just for the station)

Quick info dump about my ANGR Firefighter AU for Robbie

● Certain points from Vengeance Drives for Uber by @rokhal will be included, including but not limited to Guero being wheelchair bound, Alex Northwick's death (with a slight tweak being Robbie didn't dispose of his body into Hell), Vengeance's skirmish with Robbie, the ending rescue of the bus and Forerunner incident.

● The main antagonists will be Muse of course but also, Marco Miranda a corrupt and racist cop who will continuously harass Robbie for having Grumpy's car and John Orr (real person worth a quick Google if you have time) an arsonist Fire Chief & Arson Investigator in Robbie's district who begins burning places close to the Reyes Residence and places of importance to Robbie, leading up John lighting fire to the scrap yard while Robbie is inside, just to name the ones I've fleshed out so far. Vengeance will make a minor appearance as he'll be in LAPD custody and Robbie will assist in him getting escorted to a S.H.I.E.L.D. Facility.

● Robbie, Lisa and Gabe will all work in the same station. Robbie will be a Firefighter III and EMT (since LAFD requires Firefighters to hold a level of medical as well), Lisa will be a paramedic, and Gabe will act as a secretary as sorts.

● Alex Northwick's death will lead to Cecilia Reyes "Forcefield" from the X-men to take his spot. I may work in them being related, but probably not. I'll leave that up to feedback.

● Robbie will have moved from Hillrock Heights to Boyle Heights, using the Agents of Shield locations as points of reference. He will still work for Canelo during some of his time off from the station and take up a job at El Monte Junk and Salvage as Canelo owns it too, and it's close to home. This move will but Robbie closer to the Angeles National Forest and a block away from Evergreen Cementary (where Eli was buried)

● Gabe will be starting high school at this point in the timeline and will be dating Charlene Ocampo (see Ghost Rider Valentines Day Special)

● Robbie will be assigned to Engine. He will baby/clean/maintain the apparatus as he does the Hell Charger. With being assigned to Engine will mean he'll be going in fires and have to do his best to act "human" and not go into situations his powers would protect him from.

● Background characters will be pulled from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., 9-1-1 and the Dick Wolf universe.

For my artists mutuals out there on here,

in my Firefighter AU Eli (when fronting in Robbie's body) will have sensitivity to blue light and artificial light, which will partially be fuel to his desire to stick with 90s technology.

But he'll wear glasses when he's fronting, more specifically tinted glasses made to shield artificial light. Now I did some research into glasses made for certain conditions and found a brand (Theraspecs) that makes glasses to help with certain eye conditions, and this'll be what Eli/Robbie will be wearing when Eli is fronting but they'll have different pairs for situations

(Red tinted lenses = artificial lights)

(Blue tinted lenses = flashing lights)

(Black tinted lenses with black frame = darker than normal sunglases)

So something I've been thing of with the Robbie Firefighter AU idea, is he would've been an Avenger during the 2018 Camp Fire incident (the fire in Paradise, CA). I figure he would go to assist those affected and to help put out the fires alongside the Avengers and would decide after that to become a firefighter seeing the good he could do outside of being the Ghost Rider or an Avenger, just as Robbie.

Am I basing this off of too much realism? Yes, does it help make ideas better? Also, yes.

Also @wazzappp in this story I was thinking about Lisa and not sure where she'd fall into things, I was initially thinking EMT/Paramedic but that's too similar I think to the Dawson/Casey dynamic from Chicago Fire but I want your opinion

What "blocky" vehicle would be best to have the Hell Charger disguise itself as in a pinch?

I'm currently torn between an older Volvo or a Jeep Gladiator (or some other boxy Jeep for that matter) but I am open to suggestions.

Figuring more blocky vehicles would be the quicker and easiesr thing for a quick change for Eli/Robbie as the '69 Chargers are blocky themselves
