As a former horse girl, I am standing up for horse girl Harrow rights. Sometimes you’re small and from a rural area so you put all your childhood angst into horseback riding. She would have a small black Arabian and they would have a deep unspoken bond, Aragon-style. She deserves a horse bestie.
While I have trouble imagining Harrow going for a hobby that's both athletic and requires a bond of trust with another living being, what are AUs for if not exploring new angles on characters? I support your horse girl Harrow AU. It would good for her, to have a living companion that doesn't understand complex human ideas like war crimes.

I love everything about Harrow’s series of notes that she leaves for Gideon when they first arrive at Canaan house.
Like, leaving a trail of imperious little instructions is SO bitchy and passive-aggressive, but also, it shows such deep knowledge and understanding of who Gideon is and how she works.
Gideon Nav comes across to me very much like a person with ADHD. You know what’s really effective to help keep people with ADHD on track? Chunking instructions into manageable steps and checking in regularly to prompt them / give the next step when they’re ready.
Harrow tucks that first note where Gideon can’t possibly miss it, right next to her hand. (Which is incredibly intimate in itself, but that’s a whole ‘nother thing...) She’s able to perfectly predict Gideon’s trajectory, spacing notes out one idea at a time, placing each one where Gideon will discover it when she’s ready for that step. She ends with repetition and clarification to make sure that she’s been properly understood and the most important points have not been forgotten.
It’s fantastic, because it’s just a funny scene, but it also makes clear that Harrow knows, intimately, how to get Gideon to do what she wants. She’s obnoxious as hell about it, because that’s their dynamic (and, I suspect, a little bit because if she were any less obnoxious Gideon would start to worry, and the last thing she wants is Gideon worried enough to start looking for her), but it’s no accident that Gideon and Harrow work so well together when they’re finally facing in the same direction.
There’s that line in the final fight -- “long years of warfare meant that they each knew exactly where the other would stand” -- but it’s not just fighting they learned to do in tandem. Both Gideon and Harrow spent their entire lifetimes obsessively studying each other, trying to anticipate the other’s every move. By the time we meet them, they’re so used to working around each other that they can’t help but give that away in everything they do.

Gideon: I truly go into housewife mode when I'm someone's soulmate- like, I'll make you pancakes and bacon every morning.
Rip: This is a lie.
Rip: I'm literally dating her. This is a lie.
Rip: SHE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO COOK A PANCAKE, WHAT IS THIS.

i looove cytherea as a "nicest* person here was secretly the villain the whole time" reveal cause like. my problem with those is usually that they do a complete 180 in terms of personality and suddenly they're a totally different person. they absolutely do not give a shit about these people they just spent so much time cohabitating with. they developed absolutely no empathy or compassion or remorse for the people who worked with them, trusted them, confided in them, tried to help them. it just never seemed realistic to me. i always end up wishing for more nuance. it feels like the authors tend to go for shock value over the actual substance of the character, unless they're angling for a redemption arc.
cytherea, though.
cytherea is 10,000 years old and she's been inches from death the entire time. these people's lives mean something fundamentally different to her than they do to them. she kills jeannemary in a shocking and brutal and unnecessarily dramatic fashion, and then she offers gideon genuine compassion and comfort in the aftermath, and both of those things are true and authentic and both of them are motivated by the fact that lyctorhood is fucking terrible.
the way she was interacting with gideon was always a little weird and the fact that she does genuinely understand never goes away. she's fucking old and weird and bored and in pain and she will gore a 14 year old in front of you and then she will hold your hand and give you well-meaning advice while you process the trauma. she will tell you how terrible it is that people are taking advantage of you, she will cradle you and pet your hair and tell you that you're worth more than this, and then she will kill you like she killed all the rest of them. and it really is a shame that you don't understand how that's a mercy, too.
cytherea is scary because the kindness was never fake. and that's why i love her.

Hey I hear you do Ramona's Evil Exes x Reader so I have a Request I don't know if anyone ask this but the Evil Exes Reaction to their S/o wearing their clothes I got this idea from a boyfriend scenario on Wattpad and I thought it might be cute🥰
sorry it took so long to get to this :( i went on a hiatus and got caught up with a lot of asks so i'm finally getting around to finishing them all. hope this was worth the wait!!
matthew patel:
okay, we know mattie.
he's obsessed with literally everything you do and this is no different
when he sees you in his clothes, he MELTS
literally merges with the floor
"hey babe....... you uh, you look really, uh, you-"
he cannot get a proper sentence out of his mouth but just know he's going to be thinking about this FOREVER
lucas lee:
tch, whatever
just kidding HELLO O___O
at first he wasn't paying attention, but now.......
he's a pretty big guy so his clothes probably hang off of you
he acts very nonchalant about it but even the coolest skater boys have their weaknesses
this is his
he gets so handsy you're going to have to reprimand him
todd ingram:
this motherfucker gets so flustered
literally makes eye contact with you and he's STUNNED
"i see you went through my closet, huh?"
he will not stop staring at you
literally boring holes through your body because oh my GOD you look incredible
he's going insane
roxie richter:
"god DAMN!!!!!"
insert whistling noise
she will not stop complimenting you
insists that you keep whatever you're wearing because "it looks SOOOO much better on you!!!!!!"
also gets very handsy with you
in simplest terms, she's feeling you up
you're way too hot to keep her hands off of
you're a magnet and she's a bag of nails :3
kyle katayanagi:
"woah, hello there"
he's in deep thought
deep, DEEP thought
he's going to tease the shit out of you for this
but don't mistake that as him not enjoying it
he's eating it UP
ken katayanagi:
he doesn't say anything immediately
like he takes notice, but he's silent
sort of just smirks to himself
if you want any sort of reaction, you're going to have to point it out
"notice anything different?" "of course i did hun, you know i'm very attentive"
okay now that you've pointed it out, he's going to be annoying about it
constant teasing, "looks like somebody missed me"
gideon graves:
it takes a little for him to notice
"oh, nice shirt," he says, completely unaware of the fact that it's his shirt
actually it's the smell that makes him realize LMFAO
he wears a very specific cologne and when you walk by smelling like it, he's like "OH HELLO????"
slides over in his silly little desk chair, wraps his arms around your waist, and buries his face in your side
"never stop doing that" he mumbles
god he's so CUTE I LOVE HIM

I never read the locked tomb series but I got into it through sheer vibes and aesthetic... The harrow nova au is what actually got me further into the, well, lore and universe. I already love your necro!gideon design, like the bone accessories and her look just *chef's kiss* it's perfect!
Got any necro!Gideon headcanons? (If you're comfortable with doing that) You may info-dump if you want, I find it really helpful when understanding a person's idea for a character. (only if you want to ofc).

THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE REVEREND DAUGHTER GIDEON NAV ON THE BRAIN! Sit down with me while we talk, okay: First of all, she's an asshat, like, just straight up a bag of dicks. She's cocky, she's a show off, she thinks her shit don't stink. She's entitled, abrasive, MEAN, and above all else very VERY competitive. Physically she's a wet little chicken bone, with greyed out skin and dull hair. She did all her piercings herself (shocker), and she implanted bone into her own neck! Half for defense, half for it looking badass as hell. She also files her teeth so they're sharp af, which is great for looking like an abomination but the scars all over her lips and tongue will tell you not to do it yourself. She keeps a chain of teeth, fingers, and other misc. bone fragments around her neck for easy access for constructs, and she'll stim with it mindlessly while she's bored or thinking. She keeps three or four skulls on her waist for bigger constructs, sometimes she snaps off their teeth when she's in a particularly bad mood. She doesn't usually dress up in her full garbs with the skeleton hand shoulder pads, bone crown, veil and capes -- it's usually just for formalities and special occasions. Kept the idea of those braces on her fists, though I thought it would be cool to implement them into her gloves so she can wolverine at will. She's creepy, she's conceited, and she's seemingly always dissatisfied. She keeps Nova on her toes for sure (threatening). IDK i just think shes really neat, wish we could've gotten more of her in the books U - U

My wonderful girlfriend got me Gideon the Ninth for Christmas and I realized why should I just give Worm recaps? Let's read some Locked Tomb! (We'll see how this format works, maybe I'll adjust it. Specifically might break stuff down into smaller segments instead of full acts, but I didn't think of doing this until after I had read all of act 1.)
Gideon the Ninth Act 1 (chapter 1 through 8) thoughts:
This book is so gay oh my god
Like, it's gay in ways I can't even explain. I love it.
Harrow beats the shit out of Gideon in chapter 2 and I don't know if I've ever seen someone get beat up in a more gay way.
"Oh Griddle! But I don't even remember about you most of the time." ROLL A FUCKING DECEPTION CHECK HARROW! You are saying this standing in the middle of the field you spent all night burying bones in just to foil her escape in the most dramatic way. You can't stop remembering her.
Gideon is the most herbo of herbos. I fucking love her. I love reading her PoV. She just knows punch and stab with sword and if those don't work than she'll just do them harder.
Also Gideon is SO fucking gay. Dear god. Dulcinea faints and Gideon turns off all though. HELP PRETTY GIRL. Nothing else.
Ok I could just make this whole thing "EVERYTHING IS GAY" but there is technically more than that.
I love how weird everything is and how little explanation is given. I don't want pages of exposition, I want to learn the world as it comes at me! This is perfect.
And just the very nature of things that seem weird not being given more than a passing thought in the book is information. Something may seem wild to the reader but it's so normalized to the characters that they wouldn't even think about the idea of it being different.
Lack of explanation also helps really show how much of a meathead Gideon is. Do the readers get to learn details about this thing? Only if it is a weapon, has tits, or Gideon is forced to listen while Harrow explains it. Otherwise no, why the fuck would Gideon spend her precious few brain cells on thinking?
And even if Gideon is forced to listen as Harrow explains it, the readers might not learn much cause Gideon might stop listening. I love her.
Aiglamene is wonderful. Crux is fine but I like her more.
Poor Gideon just wants a big sword that she can swing hard. It's not like she can't use a rapier. But why when she can go big sword?
SO MUCH CATHOLICISM
As someone who once was Catholic and then realized I was actually not a straight man, but instead a lesbian, I am in deep.
And the fucking slang used! Or whatever would be the right term. The shit they say! I love it. Just the weird sci-fi far future space necromancer universe and then suddenly "Are you asking me to . . . throw her a bone?", "Gideon had always known that this would be how she went: gangbanged to death by skeletons.", "Don’t hypothetically shove stuff up my butt again, it never does any good.", "Lo! A destructed ass.", "Well we were developing common sense, she studied the blade.", "Double Bones with Doctor Skelebone."
House of the First appears to be Earth. I kinda assume the House of the Ninth is Pluto, even though things obviously aren't in order given that the Seventh and Sixth are closer to the sun. Of course, I'm kinda expecting this to not technically be this solar system at all.
Undying Emperor, King of Resurrection, I Have Ten-Thousand Titles, Boss First, etc etc hasn't been on "Earth" in over nine thousand years. I wanna know MORE.
And the fucking Ninth House has their own prayer! Everyone else has one that the Ninth didn't know and then the Ninth had one that no one else knows! GIMME MORE!!!!
Also again, so many Catholicism metaphors or comparisons or whatever!
I could go on forever but gonna end this one with OH MY GOD SHE FOUND SUNGLASSES I LOVE HER. Fucking "I came prepared, my sweet." and "But then you couldn't have admired . . . these!" as she whips on the sunglasses. God. I nearly died.

The Little Things
Tumblr media
[Gideon Graves x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of love to turn things around.
WC: 2756
Category: Heavy Angst, Happy Ending
I’m actually very proud at how this turned out.
『••✎••』
Gideon had always been a character that you were fascinated by. He was mysterious, powerful, and, of course, had an ego to match. Despite how he seemed to others, you always saw something else behind that sly smile of his. You always felt like there was something about him that you were missing. Something that drew you to him like a magnet.
Oddly enough, the two of you had met through Ramona, and though you were intrigued, you also hated him. The moment you two met, you couldn't get away from him quick enough. The guy just rubbed you the wrong way.
However, you couldn't deny that he had a charm to him. As much as you hated it, you found yourself staring at him sometimes. You couldn't help it when he was around. His aura always made you feel nervous.
Julia had told you that you were living a true "life of the cliche,” and as much as you wanted to tell her that she was full of shit, there was some truth to what she said.
There was something about the man that always made you look twice. You didn't understand what it was, but he made you feel some type of way. It didn’t help when he would seek you out, going as far as to con his way into being with you.
He knew how to push your buttons. So, you knew it would only be a certain amount of time before he found a way in. And thus, that enemies-to-lovers story was written.
The two of you had started off rocky, of course. You always fought, mostly about little things and the occasional heavy blowout. It didn't help that you and Gideon had very different personalities or the fact that he was the most narcissistic person you knew.
But right when you started to smooth out those cracks, it all changed come after the events with Ramona and his league of assholes. He became more work-driven. Less of the Gideon you were used to. You were kind of proud of him for that, but at the same time, you hated that he changed so drastically.
The Gideon you knew was full of snarky remarks, a subtle asshole with a sense of humor, and of course, the constant flirting. You liked to think that that was the Gideon you liked and knew.
The man in front of you now didn't give a shit about anything that wasn't work. He worked until he passed out and only stopped when someone dragged him away from his desk. He even slept there sometimes.
You didn't like how he had become. It hurt you. He wasn't the man you knew anymore. The man you knew was gone, and it made your chest ache.
"Hey," you say softly, coming up behind him and setting a cup of coffee on his desk. He turns his head, his gaze falling on you. You watch as his brows furrow before he looks at the cup of coffee.
"What's this?" He asks, raising a brow.
"It's just a cup of coffee." You reply, sitting across from him at his desk and pulling a sketchbook out of your bag.
"A cup of coffee?" He repeats, picking it up and taking a sip. His brows furrow as he continues to stare at it. He grimaces.
"Too hot, but yeah, coffee. It's the liquid gold of the earth." You smile.
"Liquid gold?" He asks, taking another sip and wincing. "I don't see it."
You shrug, flipping to a blank page in your sketchbook. The old him would’ve said something witty back. He would've made a joke at the expense of your taste in coffee. He’d probably be looking you up and down and saying something about how he knew what he liked in his coffee.
Instead, he was silent, his attention going back to his screen. You look at him for a moment, his fingers flying across his keyboard.
"Do you even sleep?" You ask him, and you swear that you hear him sigh.
"Not when I can help it." He replies, not bothering to look at you.
"Gideon-"
"You shouldn't be here." He cuts you off. You purse your lips together, sighing. When he looked at you for a split second, just a fraction of a second, you could tell that there was something wrong. He had deep bags under his eyes, and it was obvious that he was exhausted. He looked pale like he was sick. You don't think he's slept for the past few days.
"Why don't we go home?" You ask him. "We can work tomorrow."
"No," he says, not even bothering to look up at you.
"You can't keep doing this to yourself," you tell him, standing up and setting your hand on his shoulder. He flinches. "You can't keep pushing yourself to the point of collapse."
"I'm fine," he replies.
"You aren't." You insist. You glance around his office, seeing papers scattered everywhere. He didn't even try to hide the fact that he was overworked.
"I am, and I can't keep this up." He replies.
"Keep what up?" You ask, and when you glance at him, he looks tired. You can see the dark circles under his eyes and his brow furrow as he types away.
"I can't keep you up." He says after a moment, not looking at you. You blink a few times, furrowing your brow.
"What do you mean?" You might ask, but you're already pretty sure what he's referring to. He sighs, running a hand through his hair, stopping it midway, and shaking his head. He slouches in his seat.
"I mean that this is all pointless, isn't it? Why try when the world is ending? Why try when I'll just die alone? When there is no one who cares about me and no one who gives a shit about me." He says, his words bitter, laced with exhaustion. You can see his expression fall. His hands go back to the keyboard, and you furrow your brow as you watch him.
"Gideon..."
"I don't want you to care about me," he snaps. "Why would you want to?"
"I want to because I do care," you tell him. You sigh softly. "Unlike Ramona, I don't see you like that."
"Do not mention her to me. Don't." His tone changes drastically. You watch as he shakes his head. "Don't talk to me."
"Gideon, what's wrong?" You ask, kneeling down beside his desk. You reach out to him, but he smacks your hand away, a look of fury on his face. He glares at you, but you can tell there's something behind his glare. You can see how broken he looks. How much he needs someone right now.
"You're useless," he says bitterly, and it hurts you more than it should. You open your mouth to respond, but he stops you, not wanting to hear it. "Don't say anything."
"I don't want to leave you like this." You tell him, and you can see the way his expression falls.
"I don't care what you want," he tells you, but you can see the way his lips part and the way he looks at you. You watch as he averts his gaze from you. He stares at his screen, his brow furrowed. "Go home."
"Gideon-"
"Please," he says, and the desperation is in his voice. "Just... go."
You watch him for a moment, the pencil in your hands still. You let out a heavy breath, looking down. He wasn’t going to budge; you knew that now. He was set in his ways, and he wasn't going to let you in. You know him well enough to know when he's set in stone.
You sigh, setting your sketchbook and pencil back into your bag and slinging it over your shoulder. You shake your head at him, your gaze soft. "You know where I'll be if you change your mind."
He doesn't reply to you. You press your lips together as you turn on your heel, walking away. You know that he isn't going to find you. He's going to sit there all alone and work himself to death.
You know that no matter how you try, he's going to find a way to push you away. You know that he's going to do what he wants, and he's going to be stubborn.
So you decide to give him his space. You decide to go home and leave him alone. You don't know what you were thinking, coming into his office with coffee. He would never say it but you were hoping you could help.
Maybe if he let his walls down, he would feel better about himself. You know it was too much to ask, but it's what you wanted.
You decide to let him work. You'll just be here, waiting for him to come to you. It's all you can do. It's all you can do to show that you care for him.
That's all you can do, right?
A couple of hours pass by, and you're sitting in your bed, a mug of tea in your hands. Your sketchbook is open in front of you, and you sigh, pressing your fingers to your temple.
You really need to draw something to get out of your headspace, but it doesn't help. It's been an hour, and there are still no new pages of art. The most recent drawing is still the one you drew of Gideon.
He was in his usual attire with his katana against his shoulder. His eyes were glued to the ground in it, a small smile on his lips.
You drew it back when he was still… him. The old him. You were scared to give it to him at the fear of him laughing in your face. Now, you were afraid that he wouldn’t even care.
You sigh softly. You know you have to face the reality that the man you've always liked won't be the man he was again. Not for a while, anyway.
"What am I going to do with you, Gideon?" You murmur, your voice thick with sadness. The tea you were drinking didn't taste as good as you hoped it would. It tasted bitter to you now, and it didn't sit right with you.
You let out a soft sigh and lean back against the headboard of your bed, closing your eyes. You lay there in silence, waiting for the morning to come.
It wouldn't come.
Not with Gideon still overworking himself at his desk. At least, not until he noticed a small piece of paper beside his keyboard. It turns out that when you opened your sketchbook, an old drawing came tumbling out without your knowledge.
It was a super old one, probably one of the first you did of him. You weren’t even talking at that point, just staring from afar as you tried to figure out why you were so attracted to this guy.
You still don't understand, honestly.
But as Gideon stared at the drawing, the insane amount of stress that was on his shoulders seemed to lift for a moment. He glanced towards the door before going back to the drawing, staring at it.
The amount of detail that you put in the drawing shocked him. He almost felt as though he was looking in a mirror—a mirror of his old self.
You got everything right. His hair length, the outfit, the color of his eyes, even the tiny scratches on the lens of his glasses. It was almost eerie how much you got right.
It's the little things you notice about people. The little things you remember.
He remembered that you said that.
You had been in a rather philosophical mood that day. He remembered it because it stuck with him. He'd forgotten that.
"Damn it.” He murmured, folding up the drawing as he glanced at the door. He stared at it for a moment before gently setting the drawing in his pocket. "Why am I like this?"
He knew that you were probably asleep by now, maybe curled up with a cup of tea, but he sighed, reaching over for the telephone.
He was right; of course, you were asleep. But you weren't asleep long.
"You always did have an eye for detail."
He spoke to himself, but you heard enough to know it was him. You didn't move from your place, however. You stayed still as a statue, your eyes closed.
"Gideon?” Your voice was a soft, almost fragile whisper. It was soft, yet it felt like it echoed throughout the entire room. He smiled, but you couldn't see that.
He fell silent for a long time. It seemed like forever, but you knew what he was trying to do. He wanted to hear your voice.
He was desperate for it.
“Yeah,” he replied, a hint of vulnerability in his tone. “Yeah, it’s me.”
There was a slight pause. You didn't reply for a long time. You lay there in the dark, the quiet and the sound of static being the only thing you heard.
But when you spoke, you sounded the same way he did, almost a bit fragile and broken, your tone thick with sadness.
"Why are you different? Why?" You ask, your voice wavering and cracking. You sit up, setting your sketchbook to the side, your fingers gripping your comforter as you wait for him to reply.
He did, and after a moment, his voice was quiet, soft. "I— I don’t know. I really don't."
There was a moment when you couldn't breathe. He sounded so broken and so desperate to be around someone. You wanted to drive back where he was. You wanted to give him the hug you knew he wanted.
"Come home." You say softly.
There was a moment of silence, not an uncomfortable silence, but more of a thoughtfulness. You weren't sure what he was thinking or if he would respond. You were about to pull the phone away from your ear, but you heard his voice again.
"Okay."
It was such a simple answer, but it meant so much to you. It made your heart skip a beat. Your lips parted slightly, but no words came out. It was like you were in shock, frozen solid as you sat in bed.
"For what it’s worth,” he said softly. You can almost picture him looking up at the ceiling with that look in his eye. The one you always saw when he thought about the past. The one where he was vulnerable. Where he didn't feel like the strongest man on earth.
Where he didn't have a mask on.
“I didn’t mean it when I said you were useless. You're not… useless. You're the only one who cares enough to try, and I didn't realize how much that mattered to me."
“Gid-"
"I don’t… say this often, but when I’m wrong, I'm wrong." He says, and you feel your chest ache. He pauses. "So, uh, I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry," you murmured.
"You deserve better than what I've given you." He tells you, his voice soft.
"Yeah, I do, but I also want you." You confess. "I just want the you I knew before all this bullshit. Even if you were a bit of a dick.”
He laughed softly at your response. "Oh, trust me, I'm still plenty of that."
You laughed softly. You felt yourself relax slightly. He was starting to come back to you, slowly but surely. You smiled softly as you settled back in your bed.
"Forgiven?” He asked after a moment.
"Forgiven." You confirm, and you hear him sigh softly. He's relieved.
You can picture the grin on his face. The one that he wore when he thought he had you wrapped around his finger. It's a nice grin. It makes your heart flutter.
"Hurry up and get back to me." You tell him. "I wanna sleep. You woke me up."
"Alright, alright, fine. I'll see you soon, love." He replied, the nickname making your cheeks flush. He always seemed to know exactly what to say, but now you feel like he's letting his walls down.
"I love you too," you say, and you swear that you hear him sigh softly like a weight has been lifted off his shoulders. He hung up, but now you didn’t mind because he was coming back to you. The old him was coming back to you.
And you couldn’t wait for it.

the main thing i love in scott pilgrim takes off is the extra emphasis on the evil exes. in the comic they're essentially just plot devices for scott and ramona's character arcs. forcing them to confront each other's past mistakes and all that, with some fun bits of characterization here and there, and that's all well and good. but in takes off, they take a HARD 180 and basically make the exes the star of the show for the majority, showing their personalities in more detail, emphasizing how ramona hurt them, giving them their own mini character arcs, and it's GLORIOUS. also they're just funny little guys in their own right matthew is a theater kid. lucas doesn't give a shit about anything and just wants to skateboard. todd is gay and pining for wallace. roxie walks out of the plot of her own accord while singing the hamster dance. the katayanagi twins become bros with scott and help him with a dumbass time travel plot. gideon goes from pathetic in a creepy incel way to pathetic in an endearing wet cat way, and gets to hatch evil schemes with julie powers. it's fun.

I don’t know if the Dialogue is still a thing but what about George getting caught making out with a girl but the person who caught them told everyone it was Fred who has a very lovely girlfriend who he adores!
yes, it still a thing and I love this! ❤️ Warnings: accusations of cheating but that's pretty much it Disclaimer: I don’t own Harry Potter 😁 gif isn’t mine 😊

Wrong Twin
Tumblr media
"FREDERICK GIDEON WEASLEY!"
"What did you do?" you chuckled, looking at the twin on your left.
"Sounds like you're dead, Freddie" George said to your right as the three of you saw Angelina bursting into the Common Room, looking livid, stomping her way to her boyfriend. Katie and Alicia followed behind her.
"How could you?" she asked as Fred stood up, confused.
"Uh, before I admit to anything, could you please tell me what you're talking about-?" Fred was interrupted when Angelina smacked her hand against his cheek.
"Holy shit" George muttered as you sat closer to him.
"How could you?" she said, with her eyes welling up. "I can't believe you would cheat on me!"
"What?" Fred asked at the same time you and Geroge did too. "Sweetheart, what are you talking about?!"
"Don't try to deny it! Katie and Alicia saw you" she said, furiously as you noticed the wondering eyes in the Common Room turning your way. "And you!" she then said pointing at you. "How could you do this to me? I thought we were friends!"
"Whoa, Angie, what are you talking about?"
"Katie and Alicia saw you yesterday!" she snapped. "The entire school knows! I feel like such an idiot!"
"Wait, what exactly did Katie and Alicia see?" Fred asked, still extremely confused.
"They saw you kissing my boyfriend!" she said, pointing at you before she tried to throw herself at you but Fred quickly grabbed her, pulling her away and you hid behind George and Lee, who had now joined the conversation.
"Angie, that never happened! I would never cheat on you! I love you, darling!" Fred tried to reason with her.
"Angelina, I have never kissed Fred in my life!" you assured her. "I would never do that to you!"
"Stop lying! We saw you!" Katie told you.
"I'm not lying! I don't know what you saw! But I swear, Angie, I have never kissed Fred!"
"Well, either you were kissing Fred or someone who looked identically like-" Lee stopped abruptly, his eyes falling on George, who was blushing furiously. "Oh... OH! Holy shit!" he laughed as he noticed Geroge blush furiously and you felt your cheeks burning.
"Well, I guess it's out now" George muttered.
"Wait, what is going on?" Fred asked, still confused and then he looked between you and his twin. "OH MERLIN! YOU KISSED GEORGE?!"
"Oh, Merlin!" the two girls said, realizing their mistake. "It was you and George?!"
"Um... well, y-yes" you admitted as George grabbed your hand, pulling you closer to him.
"Wait, so you two didn't think of George before you thought that I would cheat on my girlfriend?!" Fred asked, a little upset.
"You said George had detention yesterday!" the girls said, remembering their conversation.
"He did! He asked me to cover for him because he said he had something important to do" he said, raising his eyebrows at George.
"Well, it was important! We rarely get to spend time together without all of you meddling in our business!" George defended himself.
"Oh, Merlin, Freddie, I'm so sorry" Angelina said, hugging him and kissing his cheek. "I should have talked to you first, I was just really upset and-"
"It's okay, darling, I get it" Fred smiled, kissing her cheek before she went over to you and hugged you.
"I'm so sorry, love" she told you.
"It's okay, Angie. I would have been upset too" you told her.
"So... how long has this been going on?" she smirked as she pulled away pointing at you and George.
"Couple of weeks" George said, pulling you to him again and kissing your temple.
"Sorry we caused this whole mess" Katie and Alicia apologized to you and Fred.
"It's okay. At least now we don't have to hide anymore" you said, looking up at George who gave you a peck on the lips.
"Okay, so from now on that would be a good way to tell you two apart" Lee laughed.
"Who knows? Maybe they're not even sure which twin they are with" George smirked and you and Angelina hit them both on the back of their heads.
"You two really think we wouldn't be able to tell you two apart?" Angelina laughed.
"Yeah, we are the only ones who have been able to tell you apart since we were in first year" you reminded them. "So, good luck with that" you smirked at George.
"I really don't mind, sweetheart. At least I get to do this whenever I want" he smiled, leaning in to kiss you again.
The End

Hi!! I absolutely love your fanfics. I was wondering if you could do a Gideon (Gordon) x reader fic that’s kinda angsty to fluff? Maybe the reader and him were close, but he ended up leaving because of how successful G-Man studios was. Then, when Matthew humbled him, he realized that he never should have left?
Awh thank you! For this one, Reader is just replacing Julia more or less
..............
"Are you okay? That looked pretty rough.."
Blinking in surprise, Gordon gazed up at you for a brief moment, seeing the look of concern written all over your face. Yet he didn't have the courage to say anything, as he just sniffled and shook his head, trying to bite back tears.
He thought you were going to make fun of him..just like the rest of this stupid school did after he tried asking out one of the popular girls.
Finally, he had gotten such a burst of confidence, thinking his "fearless" nature was going to score him a date.
But that was all gone now.
He made a damn fool out of himself in front of everyone.
"I think this is yours, Gordon."
Looking back at you, he was shocked to see you kneeling down, the book dusted off and being handed over to him. He quickly snatched it back, cradling it to his chest. "Th-Thanks.." He mumbled. "I'm surprised you even know who I am in all honesty.."
"Well, we do share classes." You mentioned, smiling a little as you both stood up. "You know, they can laugh all they want. But I bet none of those jerks would have the balls to ask her out like you did. I'd say you're truly living up to the "fearless" title."
He was frozen in-place, unsure of what to say as you alluded to his shirt, which he bashfully covered with his oversized coat. When you footsteps walked past him, however, he spun around and saw you going to your locker.
He stumbled after you. "W-Wait!"
"Yeah?"
"You know my name, but I'm afraid yours has slipped by me. What was it again?"
"[Y/n]."
"[Y/n]...well..thank you for the kind words, [y/n]. I wish more people in this stupid school were like you." He tried mustering a smile, although at the moment he seemed self-conscious about his braces. "Would you...l-like to come by my place to study for that test we have tomorrow?"
"...damn it's tomorrow? I was working on a whole flash card set but I kinda fell behind and-"
"Oh I have my own set, too! Maybe we can exchange them and quiz each other!"
"Sounds good." You chuckled, entering your lock combination to grab your notebook. Once you shut the door, you glanced at him, smiling. "I'll catch you after school then, G-Man."
Gordon blinked, jaw-dropped in disbelief as you walked away from him. He just stood there, watching you vanish into the crowd of students on their way to their next class.
A few people whispered and giggled at the way he was staring at you, some even calling him a weirdo or creep.
But this time, he didn't pay them any mind.
You just gave him the coolest nickname ever.
G-Man..
.
.
.
.
"Wait, the G-Man Empire has fallen, you said?"
"Yeah! Don't you ever watch the news? Apparently Matthew Patel is the new CEO!"
"...hah, I figured karma was gonna catch up to that son of a bitch sooner or later."
"Woah, [y/n]..that's kinda harsh. Didn't you go out with that guy and start on it together? I thought you'd be pissed off about it."
"Why would I be pissed off? He pushed me aside when it got successful and claimed he didn't have "time" for a relationship anymore. And it made me think "well shit, maybe it was never a real one to begin with...maybe he saw us as business partners and nothing more"."
"...damn, I didn't know all of that. My bad."
"No, it's..." Pausing, you held the phone away from your ear for a moment, taking a deep breath before you could get too upset. "Look, I'm over it. I'm not glazing over everything I might've done wrong..it was all him. He turned into a rich douchebag."
"Right, and now he's a broke douchebag." Your friend laughed. "Anyways, if I see him on the streets..I'll deck him in the face for ya, alright?"
"Thanks. Maybe I'll do that, too, if I happen to see him.." You joked as well, already feeling a bit better after ending the conversation, hanging up the phone.
With a small sigh, you turned back to the TV and put on some anime episode, relaxing as you focused more on the show and less on the rainstorm outside...
And Gideon.
But unfortunately for you, a name like that was hard to forget.
Especially as you once knew him as that aloof yet sweet nerd who used to hang out with you after school and on the weekends. Most of your days were spent either studying or watching anime while he explained every bit of lore under the sun.
Sure, highschool had its cringy moments, but other times it was great.
Gid--Gordon made up the best parts of it.
He was the first person you ever saw the Sparks(tm) with.
You two were close, graduating and going into college together, and ultimately helping him form the G-Man business from the ground up. He was inspired by that cool nickname you've given him in highschool, assuring you that you deserved all the credit.
At some point, however, he suddenly changed his name..apparently because he felt like "Gordon Goose" was dead to him.
You agreed that being addressed as "Mr. Goose" was one way to ensure he's never taken seriously, so you accepted his name-change to Gideon.
Then...even more about him began to change.
And soon you barely recognized the man you fell in love with.
As soon as he discovered something called "The Glow", his wealth skyrocketed, but he refused to let you in on what this little secret of his was. And he barely gave you his fair share of the earnings anymore.
It wasn't long before you got shoved aside, and he stayed up on his high horse alongside all the other millionaires and billionaires while you worked at your drastically lower-leveled job that was connected to his business empire.
Yep. His empire.
Not yours and his.
He didn't speak to you again unless it was through some random agent.
You were livid for the way he just left you in the dust, and right as you thought you couldn't hate him even more...
He went out with Ramona Flowers, got broken up with, and formed some bizarre group that apparently included her six other "evil" exes.
Oh, how furious you were.
Not at her, though. You felt terrible after she told you about how controlling he was, but it made you wish that you had a time machine so you could go back and warn her NOT to date that prick.
Or better yet..go back and stop him from turning into a prick.
Now according to your friend, Matthew Patel--Ramona's first ex--won the rights to all of Gideon's properties after a tough fight. But oddly enough nobody knew of his current whereabouts.
They emphasized the point that he was kicked out and not killed..
That made you wonder where he is and if he's-
'Wait..why do I suddenly feel sorry for him?' You blinked, before shaking your head and deciding to pause the episode, realizing you weren't even focusing on the story anymore.
Only that jerk.
Okay, so maybe a small part of you did miss him..and hoped that Gordon would come back. But you had a feeling things won't ever change nor return to what they used to be..
Deciding to clear your thoughts, you threw on your coat and opened the front door, stepping out onto your porch. You didn't go any further, as you simply wanted to take in the sights, sounds, and smells of the rain.
Of course it was windy, too, making the air feel chillier than it actually was.
Through the downpour, however, you could make out a figure that was seemingly limping down the sidewalk.
They were barely lit by the streetlamps, but your heart sunk into your stomach the moment you realized who that was exactly..
"G....Gideon..?"
Sure enough, it was him.
Gideon Graves. The rich asshole who now looked as though he was dragged through the mud several times in a row..completely disheveled with bruises on his face and tears in his usually pristine clothes.
Not to mention he seemed utterly defeated.
Upon hearing his name, he stopped and looked over, stunned to see that you were still living on this same street. "[Y/n].."
You scowled, the words you've exchanged with your friend from earlier coming back into your mind. "Oh, how the mighty have fallen."
"Please..don't remind me.." He rasped, his voice sounding so broken and tired.
"I think I will, actually. Now you know how I felt when you kicked me to the curb."
"...I'll admit it..that was a stupid thing for me to do. And I'm sorry.."
Blinking, you were surprised by his sudden apology. But your guard remained up, as you just huffed. "What? Just because you lost your big empire..you finally decide to grovel at my doorstep in the cold rain and apologize? Where was this last year? Two years ago?"
"........"
You sighed. As much as you despised seeing how sad and pathetic he was acting...it did tug on your heartstrings a little bit. You were starting to catch glimpses of that sweet kid you once knew..
"Gordon?"
He perked up. "Yes?"
"...I see. You haven't entirely killed your old self, then.." You quietly mused.
"You were right, [y/n]. I..I-I never should have left you." He took off his glasses as he sniffled and put them in his pocket, shivering. "I don't have any right coming here, but..I used the last of my money to catch a bus. Just to see the one person I still care about...and...hopefully cares for me, too.."
You blinked. "You...still care about me?"
"I know it didn't seem like it, but...I never stopped.." He mumbled. "I got greedy, ambitious...and lost sight of who really loved me. Now I'm back to where I was before.."
"And that is...?"
"..being a loser.." He was even quieter this time around. So much so, you barely heard him at all...although you knew what he said exactly.
"Sorry, what was that?"
"I said...I'm back to being a loser."
You smirked. "One more time?"
"I said I'm a LOSER!!" Gordon snapped, tears finally streaking down his sunken cheeks as he scowled at you. His shout was hoarse, yet pained at the same time. "I-I'm a loser, okay?! A loser who doesn't deserve to grovel at your doorstep like this. A loser who should just lay down and die-''
Then he heard your small laughter and stopped his pity party, sniffling as he stared at you. "Wh-What's so funny?"
"You are a real loser for leaving me...but I'm just as much of a loser for wanting to let you back into my life.." Sighing, you shook your head before you grabbed the umbrella beside your door, opening it and heading down the steps.
He stared at you, now seeing that you two were standing under the umbrella together, totally sheltered from the rain.
Why were you doing this?
You looked at him. "You know, I thought about decking you in the face earlier..but I'll take you admitting you're in the wrong any day. Now let's get out of this rain."
A small whimper left his lips as he shuddered, practically clinging to you while you wrapped an arm around him, leading him back into your house.
In that moment, sparks flew, and Gordon realized he was finally seeing them at their strongest.

I have seen people question whether dios apate minor really needed to happen the way it did. it's the 'this could have been an email' of htn. 'augustine this did not have to be a threesome', I hear people saying. and boy do I have an obnoxious amount of things to say to protest this perfectly sensible assertion so here we go haha
1) yes it absolutely had to be like that. It says so on this piece of paper *hands you a piece of paper that says "because I said so and also it's narratively and thematically Sexy"* in my half-legible handwriting. seeing tamsyn muir describe harrow the ninth as a book about being a kid and realizing your parents probably had sex has given me such validation, I am unstoppable now. (to be serious for a moment, harrow the ninth is essentially a bildungsroman, and the threesome scene does a whole lot of thematic heavy lifting around harrow glimpsing elements of adulthood, relationships, and sexuality she clearly finds at the same time repulsive, bewildering and fascinating, and around opening her and especially our eyes to how much john is just a man with human longings still, under the god stuff. dios apate is crucial plot- and character-wise too -- it's a loadbearing threesome in terms of delivering the clues you need to piece together the mystery plot of the book, which is simply delightful -- but even more so thematically. and then the scene at the end where they confront john gives gideon some of that same opportunity to peek into adulthood and go '...well shit I guess', as a sort of mirror, just without the french kissing that time and more murder. the things magnus and abigail model for the girls about love and adulthood? mercy and augustine are providing the opposite-day batshit insane version of that fhdskjfa, you know, for contrast and spice)
2) listen... it gets lonely out there in deep space with your 'legendary unamorous' brother, two infant pathetic baby kitten sisters who you'll probably have to kill one day when you take another stab at god if they don't manage to get themselves killed along the way on their own, and the two people you've spent the last ten thousand years having separate yet connected married & divorced arcs with and also btw one of them is god... honestly a threesome over the dinner table is probably The most well-adjusted reaction one might hope for under those circumstances
3) on a characterization level I think Augustine is actually doing something incredibly deliberate with it: he's presenting John with yet another chance to admit what he did. which is notable especially since the deal he and mercy agree on as a condition for the threesome to happen at all seems to be that they're going to give the ol' godslaying another game try sooner rather than later. (I get the sense that it's not so much that he disagrees with her ultimate goal so much as that he thinks she's being dangerously indiscreet and hasty going about it, before. “though I think it will be the death of us,” huh.)
notice how he's structuring the whole thing: he's invoking the intimacy and love in their strange little threeway relationship and how long it's been by truly playing along with john's 'we're a happy family really when we're at home! :)' delusion (helped along by lowered inhibitions via enormous amounts of alcohol and what I've previously described as a joint mercy/augustine leyendecker themed thirst trap. ah, a classic). he brings up alecto and what happened to her -- or rather, he is clever enough to make john bring up alecto and how she is totally dead, right?? by seeming to make a careless statement that leads there and then acting contrite about it after. he (helped along by mercy, who I think realizes exactly what he's doing -- this is very much a two-man con) brings up how much they all loved their cavaliers, and wow funny how that's been haunting us for ten thousand years now huh :) wow, a lot of our other lyctor friends slash family sure are super dead in the name of some unknowable greater reason neither of us quite grasp and that you won't fucking tell us, aren't they. these are all the main grievances he and mercy confront john about at the end of the book, but put forth much more subtly and not phrased as an accusation -- he's baring his and mercy's vulnerabilities as bait, essentially. if john had, say, a conscience where his conscience should be instead of a black hole, it probably should have stirred something in him.
(also let me just say... the way augustine just takes a pneumatic drill to the TWO tender spots g1deon seems to have and then has the audacity to be like 'oh dear. did that upset him. ooof my bad *loooong dead-eyed slurp of his wine*' is just sooo... he's such a bitch!!! he's the only person who could ever have held their own in a ten-thousand-year bitch-off with mercy and I love him so much. well even if it wasn't all to get g1deon into murder range for harrow I think he wouldn't enjoy sticking around for the 'getting our tongues on god' part of the evening so maybe it's a kindness, really, and totally not pent-up aggression from the last twenty years or so breaking through)
he is all but shaking john by the lapels begging him to just... come clean about it already, to stop thinking he's still kidding everyone else along with himself. it's clear throughout the book that augustine knows exactly what john is at this point -- and all of the most cynical things he does say about it turn out to be distressingly right. john is always less sentimental than you'd think. john wouldn't forgive mercy, he will abandon in a heartbeat anything that isn’t necessary to him anymore, whether emotionally or in some other way. and still he seems to hold out some desperate absurd hope that the man he wants, the man he thought was there, is in there, somewhere deep deep down, if he just gives him the chance to show himself.
(mercy definitely has her own side of this whole thing, I'm just focusing more on augustine because this evening was like. his idea in the first place and I feel like we can Read Some Things into that fact lol. now that we have both ntn and htn to go from I sort of have this sense that the things augustine wants from john are more... personal? more interpersonal? they both love him equally, but mercy's love seems tinged slightly more towards the religious (augustine accuses her of knowing 'only worship without adoration', which like... also the eight house's entire Vibe lol) -- mercy at the end of that book is totally a person breaking up with GOD, not just with john -- while augustine's vibe is more like a man in the last not-with-a-bang-but-a-whimper days of a marriage that sort of felt like it could have been something real and good once but all your illusions about it have since been taken from you and trampled underfoot into the mud and you've had the divorce papers signed and ready in a drawer for over a year now, hell, as it turns out, is other people etc. lmao)
having a threesome over the dinner table with god is one thing, having a threesome over the dinner table centered on the one man and god who has yet again let you down in a way so fundamental it can barely fit into words and who you both still love in a way anyway, miserably, and also just reaffirmed your joint resolution to murder (all under the pretense that it gives your baby sisters the chance to murder your brother of ten thousand years yeah that's why this is happening no other underlying aching emotional motivations here haha)... listen mercy and augustine are simply on a different level, theologically. they've added horny shrimp colours to the religious spectrum. who else does it like them
