#give me a job and let me be an adult who can genuinely say fuck everyone and go off on my own

I literally can't believe we are on our way to having our own job and regular income and supporting our rent by ourselves for ourselves soon. The relief at the idea of cometely shedding dependence on my family and actually opening up the open world that is life sounds so fucking nice. I feel like I've been railroaded in a torturous tutorial mission for 22 years. The fucking grind to do everything perfect just to advance to the next stage and get out of the railroad andninto the open world makes the first two hours of Cyberpunk NOT sound and look tedious jesus fucking christ.

Hello! Someone genuinely trying to understand and perhaps unlearn some reactionary tendencies. With the response to that anon about "not asking if you're a pro or anti", the response about "imagine if they put this much effort into protecting real kids" definitely got me thinking. So... Is an adult shipping children and finding that hot NEVER a red flag? Or is it case by case on seeing how that person handles the distinction between fiction and reality in other things? And bringing the issue of real kids into it, if a real kid who has been abused sees someone shipping kids and finds that a red flag in that person, that... No, no I juicy answered my own question on that one. Block them and cultivate your own experience.
hi there anon, and congrats on trying to unlearn some things! and great job catching yourself at the end there, that's exactly correct.
I will start by saying this right out of the gate: fundamentally, I do not really give a shit about what made up scenarios about fictional characters people are jorking it to in private. I am, first and foremost, interested in how they are interacting with actual, real people.
"but Makenzie are you saying people who look at sexually explicit images of real human kids should be allowed near children?" no I'm not. please note that I was specifically talking about people engaging with fictional characters who are, you know, not real and do not have feelings and therefore cannot actually be hurt, traumatized, abused, etc, in any way that actually matters. I want to be so clear about this: you can genuinely think whatever vile things you want about fictional characters. you can enjoy any problematic shit you want with little guys who don't actually exist.
like, here's an example I use a lot: I'm kind of a huge Batman fan. don't know if you could tell that or not, I'm pretty subtle about it. if you spend any time in the Batman mythos, you know that this is a story where you just kind of have to take for granted that our hero is a billionaire using his vast wealth to dispatch vigilante justice with military grade weaponry and a small army of child soldiers and cop friends to help him put people in prison. these are moral quandaries that are discussed and acknowledged within the story, but fundamentally the universe is always going to involve billionaire vigilantism and child soldiers and the so-called carceral justice system. that's just the price of admission if you're gonna read Batman.
and like. I spend a lot of time in that world. I love Batman, I love his child soldiers. he's my little blorbo or whatever. but like, at no point have I said "yeah, fuck it, preteens should be learning martial arts to fight domestic terrorists, actually. I think Elon Musk SHOULD be allowed to put on a fursuit and beat up criminals. cops need more funding." no amount of Batman comics can make me believe or act on any of those things because, you know, I'm a person with a brain and I know the difference between "thing that makes a good story" and "thing that should actually happen for real."
and the thing is that genuinely, honestly, if someone thought that it was a red flag that I like Batman, and that enjoying Batman comics was somehow a red flag indicating that I'm fine with violence being done against real, actual children? I would think that person was a nut, if I can be super real. like, I'm thinking about somebody trying to make the case that I shouldn't be allowed to hang out with my nephew because I enjoy the fictional character of Robin so clearly I'm going to kill my nephew's parents in front of him to try to get him into vigilante justice. or if someone attempted to bar me from teaching my 4th-6th grade sex ed classes on the grounds that I was obviously going to teach them to do karate to clowns instead of how their reproductive systems worked.
(although, lets be real, there are a lot of politicians who would MUCH rather let little kids cage fight each other than learn anything about safer sex.)
this doesn't just apply to morally bad things, either, btw. I also read a lot of romance novels, especially hetero romances. and the thing is, not one of those books has made me want to fall in love with a ruggedly handsome but condescending straight man. hell, none of them have made me want to fall in love with anybody, period. that's not really something I'm interested in for myself, it's just a fun and frequently funny dynamic to explore. I'm hardly the first queer person to point out that the allegations that queer media "turns kids gay/trans" is obviously bullshit since the vertible mountain of cishet media evidently failed to turn any of us straight/cis, you know?
my point being: no, I genuinely don't think it's often, if ever, reasonable to judge someone's actual, real life morals by how they interact with fiction.
I'm going to say something so vulnerable right now, because we're in a safe space here: since you asked me this very reasonable question, you evidently value my judgment and perspective at least a little bit. and I once read and thoroughly enjoyed a fic in which Dr. Horrible, from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, gets fucked by a sapient evil horse. and I don't think that makes me a morally reprehensible person, or a person who advocates for real human beings having real sex with real horses. I think it just makes me kind of a weirdo with a bullshit tolerance.
if you want to hear a MUCH more thorough take on this, complete with addressing the issue of shipping fictional children, I cannot recommend Princess Weekes' video essay enough:

God I love being correct (2.2 leaks incoming!!!)
“Jade saved Aventurine!!!” “Jade helped him out of the kindness of her own heart!!” “Jade is such a mother figure to Aventurine!!”
Tumblr media
mmm yeah, definitely yup 100%
Honestly this fucking speaks for itself, and I’m so glad hoyo committed to the evil on her, she’s very compelling and that’s extremely cunty I must give her credit for it, but god do I absolutely despise the people who believe Jade and Aventurine have a healthy relationship, or that she “saved” him out of the kindness of her own heart or something.
To Jade, Aventurine is an investment, nothing more and nothing less, which is why she puts her faith in him, he’s a reliable business opportunity, but that’s not the same as caring about him personally and I really need people to get the difference
If Aventurine hadn’t proved himself useful to her, she would have left him to rot in prison or succumb to his death sentence, this isn’t saving, it’s exploitation.
Tumblr media
Jade knows Aventurine couldn’t decline whatever offer she made, and anything is worse than death or slavery, the things he’s trying to escape, so she offers for him to join the IPC to make more money for them. That’s it, that’s all she wants, she doesn’t care about how bad being in the IPC is for Aventurine’s mental health, how he literally took on a suicide mission so he could escape being a stoneheart, how even if she “saved” him, his banner name is literally “gilded imprisonment” and his lightcone “inherently unjust destiny”, so damn she did a real good job at saving him and fixing his life, definitely didn’t just put him in a pair of gilded chains.
Also like can we talk about how weird Jades comment about his eyes were? Like it’s genuinely creepy to me considering Avens eyes are a) one of his biggest insecurities and b) people fetishize them, something which Jade knows and chooses to still comment about. I hate to say it, but I feel like if this was a male Jade saying that to a female Aventurine, yall would never let that slide and Jade would never beat the p3do allegations. Aventurine was likely a teenager/young adult in that scene, and either way there is a visible power dynamic between them (I mean Aven is literally in chains looking up at her), and I don’t think if the situation was flip flopped people would be treating Jade like some kinda hero. If they were the same gender I feel like people would be shipping them though 😭
So, yeah. Being correct feels amazing, pls use your brains and realize that just because one character sounds kinda nice to another, does not mean they actually care about them or are a good person!

It really isn't hard to see why people ship Stolitz...
One thing I notice a lot of Anti-Stolitz shippers do is demonize one person over the other on what happened in Full Moon. Either Blitz is the most abusive asshole that was about to physically beat the shit out of Stolas, or Stolas is some rapist that got upset his victim didn't accept his grand love confession. Both of which are extremely bad takes.
If you blindly pick a side on who was right and who was wrong, than yeah it's no wonder you can't get aboard this ship and that's your own prerogative.
When people ask me why I ship Stolitz, I'll tell you why:
Tumblr media
Because underneath all their resentment and anger they hold for one another, they both genuinely care so deeply about the other. Their interaction in the latter half of Apology Tour says as much:
Stolas, despite, having the right to completely blow off Blitz when he approached him. Chooses to instead hide Blitz's face as a way to protect him from being seen, just so they can have a chance to talk.
Despite how horribly Blitz treated him earlier in the day, Stolas still finds comfort just being held by him. Stolas still trusts Blitz, his little knight in shining armor to protect him.
Blitz is so gentle with Stolas throughout this interaction, when Stolas gets upset and falls dramatically off his lap, Blitz freaks out. The first thing Blitz does is curse at himself for fucking up, only to immediately get Stolas up on his feet and guide him to the couch.
Blitz does the right thing and allows Stolas to dance with BTB when he looks to him for permission because: Blitz understands that he wasn't in the right mindset to reciprocate the sort of affection Stolas was seeking at that moment, and because Blitz knew that Stolas deserved to have a night of fun.
BONUS:
Tumblr media
This scene is so poignant and so powerful in my mind, that I honestly consider it one of the most beautifully heartbreaking moments of the show.
Blitz is forced to realize that by pushing people away, by building up all these walls that surround him, he essentially created this much carnage he never meant to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To top it all off, this episode ends with Blitz letting Stolas go, even though he desperately doesn't want to.
(Someone give Blitz a hug please, my poor precious bean.)
I love the fact that these two men are genuinely what the other needs in their life.
Tumblr media
A big reason as to why Stolas is in love with Blitz is because Blitz was the first person that introduced him to the concept of freedom. While Stolas just seemingly accepted his fate of dedicating his entire life to being a proper Prince of the Goetia.
Blitz wasn't like that, from the very beginning, Blitz was someone that dreamed of something bigger for himself, something better, something that usually an imp like himself could never hope to achieve. Blitz is a dreamer, and Stolas admired that.
Tumblr media
As adults, Blitz taught Stolas that he had a right to pursue his own sense of freedom, that he didn't need to live a life trapped in the woes of being a Goetia in an abusive marriage.
Blitz, unknowingly, taught Stolas that he didn't need to be an owl trapped in a cage! Blitz taught Stolas that he had a right to pursue his own dreams, his own happiness.
If it wasn't for Blitz, Stolas would still be living that miserable life of conformity.
Even now, there's so much Stolas could learn from Blitz, and Stolas recognizes that: "Maybe there's somethin' here for us to glean. For you to teach, and me to try to learn"
Tumblr media
What Stolas can do for Blitz, is be that pillar of support Blitz desperately needs in his life. Someone that will always be by his side when his self-hatred starts to take control.
Blitz needs someone in his life that can be there to remind him that he too has a right to be happy, that he too has a right to be loved.
And there is no person better for that job than Stolas, who *still* holds so much love for this little red lizard.
Stolas can be there to teach Blitz to be better for himself, and for others.
Also, low-key...
Tumblr media
These two are so fucking hot together, like goddamn.

I got an anon message recently about a Radio Free Monday listing, which I'm reposting redacted in order to make a point:
Did you know [redacted] is just a scammer? Their story has been inconsistant and out right farcical. Nobody with their living situation would have been able to [redacted]. Get real, they are a an obvious fraud.
My job, in operating Radio Free Monday, is to do my best to publicize the needs of people in our community, and to do so neutrally, with discernment but without judgement. I try to catch obvious scams when I can, but when there is no absolute evidence of disingenuous behavior, I err on the side of compassion. You, anon, will lead a much happier and kinder life if you can learn how to do the same.
I don't actively direct funds; my readers decide when and how to give, and how much, and why. Undoubtedly there are people whose fundraisers I've linked to who have been scammers, but that's a reflection on them, not on me or on my readers who choose to give. A scam at the level of a tumblr fundraiser has such a high effort to payout ratio, as scams go, that I find it difficult to even get irritated by the idea, let alone risk someone losing out on help they need. On occasion I've been duped, but so what? Are you so concerned with never being fooled that you prefer to send bitter messages to strangers about months-old posts? Seems a bit desperate, no?
When I have evidence of dishonest behavior, I disqualify the listing or I discontinue linking the request. Statements like "this would never happen" or "this is just obvious" are generally speaking the province of people too lazy to look for proof or too insecure to tolerate uncertainty. It's the way right-wing YouTube influencers make their points, because they have no bottom to back it up and are only interested in pandering to fear.
If you have genuine concerns based in first-hand knowledge, come to me under your own handle with it. If you're just going to say nasty things about people neither of us actually know under anon, get the fuck on out of here. Come back when you've learned to act like an adult.

Muriel isn't a child, they're not stupid or immature, and they CAN take care of themselves—with that, welcome to Alex's unhinged meta corner, hinged edition.
We need to talk about Muriel, so let's dive right in.
Despite the way many people depict them, they are the exact same age as every other angel, fallen or otherwise, and treating them as lesser because their mannerisms and expressions don't match up with what you think an 'adult' should look like doesn't mean they aren't one.
Not to speak of the ableism that's inherent to that kind of thinking, and actually, you know what? Before I keep talking, I want to ask you a question.
It is very common to talk about Muriel as a 'child of divorce', being 'adopted' by Crowley, someone 'precious' that needs protecting, and a lot of titles and concepts along those lines.
The question is: If, say, Uriel were in their place—sent down to earth after not being there for more than five minutes ever—would you still call him everything you call Muriel now? Would you treat him the same way you're treating them?
Would you see him the same way, and if not, why?
The question is, if any other angel were in Muriel's position, would you also infantilize them the way you currently do with Muriel?
Feel free to actually answer that question on my post or in your own, because I am genuinely curious about the reasoning, especially behind 'no' as an answer.
Heaven completely neglected them just like they did with everyone else, they were completely alone in a big, empty white room with nothing but a glass desk and presumably a chair for six thousand years—and probably even longer than that. Having someone ask them a job-related question every couple centuries doesn't even BEGIN to scratch the surface of their social needs.
When they came down to earth, it was the equivalent of one's first day at a new job, at university, at school, anywhere you had not been before but now plan on being for a while.
You come across others that have been there for twenty years and look like omniscient gods from your point of view; they run the game while you don't even know which game you're supposed to be playing. This is one of the reasons why they read as autistic to many, including myself, because that's exactly what every social situation feels like to me. That's for another post, though.
Of course they're socially awkward and easily overwhelmed! They were dropped off in a capital city after—and let me emphasise this once more—being completely alone for millennia.
The highest of the angels ordered them to do a specific job, like, fuck, I'd be having a nervous breakdown in the lift and curl up in a corner for a few hours because that thought is terrifying. Especially because failure is not something heaven accepts. Especially because they know what happens to those who disobey or disappoint in whatever shape or form.
When we see them, it is in that exact situation—talking to their bosses that they've likely never talked to before, arriving in a new world, being around new people, in a new environment, new everything. It always reminds me of this quote from Modern Family.
Tumblr media
Muriel was assigned a rank and job just like everyone else, and they deserve the same respect and acknowledgement for it as the Guardian of the Eastern Gate or the Archangels themselves. Muriel is probably really fucking good at what they do, they've had millennia of practice, but we simply never see them in their everyday situations. Give them some time and support, and they'll be up to speed in no time.
They are not a child—don't treat them like one.

Honestly, the way that the cast and the fandom remembers Kalvaxus is really funny to me because... he was not that guy. Kalvaxus was strict but never quite mean. He had a very no nonsense approach to his job, but had to do a lot of the more stable parts of administration considering the other person involved with the day to day running of the school was Arthur Aguefort, a deeply unpredictable hubristic cokehead with all the power in the world.
The Bad Kids - more specifically Adaine - said that she really liked the school and thought he was a really good vice principal - the episode where it was revealed he was evil. When he saw Fabian randomly hit Gorgug, he told Gorgug that he shouldn't apologize for being randomly assaulted. When he handed a ticket to Adaine, he hesitated because Adaine was clearly on the verge of a panic attack. He gave Jawbone a job. He was genuinely trying to help the Bad Kids after Aguefort did some typical Aguefort shit and killed himself in front of them. He absolutely presented himself as a very helpful adult authority figure who maybe wasn't nice but he came off as trustworthy and largely fair.
Is any of that his true "deep down" personality? Obviously not. He's a banker, a libertarian, and an imperialist conqueror. He'll allow a few select students to be influenced onto this path. He can't say he approves of the Harvestmen being at his school but they're a good expendable workforce that he can discard afterwards to prove that despite being fiscally conservative, he is an ally and he is trans inclusive. He takes his little pleasures. Murdering Riz's father. Poisoning Aguefort, making him too stupid to see what his right hand is doing. Conspiring with his horrible capitalist bank that doesn't give out pens or lollipops. Investing in stocks, consorting with gangs of creepy tieflings. And when the mask is off he lets forth a storm of viciousness, hate, malice, verbal cruelty. Which is pretty par for the course for being stuck with teenagers for five hundred years, tbh.
But again, he has been doing this song and dance for five hundred-ish years, playing the role of the helpful authority figure. Dragons - particularly chromatic dragons like Kalvaxus - are infected with an absolutely massive ego, a destructive sense of pride that compels them to dominate, collect, amass, always amass wealth. It's baked into their immortal souls. They go to places, they commit violence on things there, and then they collect their rewards. It's a vicious cycle, and not dissimilar to the violent destructive cycle that adventuring tends to follow.
So when you take his ability to ever conquer, destroy, rule, devour, amass wealth.
Being good. At this stupid fucking JOB. That he HATES. Teaching teenagers. That he HATES. At a school. That he HATES. With only one man who knew what he was really like, the real him, only one man he didn't have to deceive, and it's the INSANE COKE SNORTING MOTHERFUCKER KEEPING HIM HERE.

Dad!Bakugou x F!Babysitter!Teacher!Reader

“Ah? Good morning, little Kazui.” Ms. Y/n smiled as she waved at him.
To Katsuki, it seems like Kazui and his teacher is a lot closer. Well, after what he heard from his son, he has no doubt that they were indeed close.
“Hi, Ms. Y/n!” Kazui ungrasped Katsuki’s hand and immediately ran towards Ms. Y/n with an open arms.
Ms. Y/n on the other hand knelt at Kazui’s size and captures the enthusiastic child in her arms, embracing him. “How are you, my dear?” She asked as she let go and ruffle Kazui’s hair.
“I’m good, Ms. Y/n! Look! Papa drop me off today!” Kazui excitedly pulled Ms. Y/n towards his papa who was still watching them interact.
Now that she saw Kazui's dad. He does look like the number 2 Pro Hero Dynamight. Why she doesn't realize it sooner? Y/n thought to herself. She must be blind.
Once they got closer to Katsuki, Ms. Y/n bowed to Katsuki who was caught off guard. "Thank you for keeping us safe, Mr. Dynamight." She said and straightened her posture, giving Katsuki a smile.
"Papa, this is Ms. Y/n, the one I'm talking about!" Kazui gleamed at Katsuki.
Katsuki had to keep his cool when Ms. Y/n smiled at him. “It’s my job.” He said tching and looking away as redness slowly crept its way to his cheeks. “Thank you for taking care of Kazui.” He added, mumbling.
“It is my pleasure, Mr. Dynamight!” Ms. Y/n clasped her hands together smiling softly at Katsuki. “Kazui is such a sweetheart. I don’t mind taking care of him, honestly.”
“Hear that? I’ve been good!”
Both adult looked at the almost forgotten Kazui.
“I know, brat. Now go inside.” Katsuki said.
Kazui gave his papa a hug before running inside, laughing with his friends who approached him.
“Is it true that you’ve been taking care of him?” Katsuki is now serious. This is a serious subject especially now that he found out his parents are occupied as well. That means anytime now, they won't be able to help him.
“Mr. Dyna-
“Bakugou.”
“Ahem. Mr. Bakugou, I’m quite sure that Kazui has mentioned you what I have been doing while your parents wasn’t able to pick him up on time.” Ms. Y/n said with a serious face as well.
“I did. I thought everything’s fine. Old hag didn’t mention this to me at all.” Katsuki scowled staring into the distance. “I was too busy with my job as well. I didn't even noticed this..”
“I understand your job, Mr. Bakugou. And I also hope you didn't mind. Kazui mentioned that he doesn't have a mother.” Hearing her say this, Katsuki’s scowl deepened.
“Blabbermouth brat.” He mumbled.
Ms. Y/n was able to catch what Katsuki said and just sweat drop with an awkward smile. “Anywho, if it's a sensitive topic, we can just drop it.” Ms. Y/n said as her smile turn into a genuine one.
“It's fine. It's not like anyone doesn't know. The media fucking tells everything.” Katsuki turned away putting his other hand in his pocket.
Usually, when it comes to this topic, Katsuki would turn them down or won't even say a word. But right now? It seems like Kazui’s teacher is someone he can trust. Of course, the media doesn't know the details about Kazui’s mother or how she left. But as of today, he felt like she needs to know seeing that she appears to be a kind and gentle type of person. But Katsuki knew that giving your trust easily could lead to something dangerous. So just like what he usually does, he stayed quiet.
“Indeed.” Ms. Y/n chuckled.
Fuck, why was it like music to his ears.
“It's nice talking to you, Mr. Bakugou.” She said. “I wouldn't mind taking care of Kazui more knowing that you are busy. As well as his grandparents.” Before heading inside the school, Ms. Y/n fishes something out of her pocket and hands it to Katsuki. “If anything happens about Kazui. I’ll let you know. This here is my personal number.” She smiled. “I used to be a babysitter as well, all because of my quirk. If you decided and look for one, I’m available.”
Katsuki stared at the calling card handed to him. He took it, shoving it inside his pocket and walked away without saying a word.
“Have a great day, Dynamight.” Ms. Y/n called waving at him and entering the premises.
Katsuki went into his car and sat there for a good minute before starting the engine and driving off. Along the way, he took the card with his other hand while the other held the steering wheel. He inspects it for a moment before reading the name.
Name: Ms. (Your Name) (Last Name)
Age: 23
Quirk: Healing
And the back of the card shows her old job which she brought up being a babysitter.
Katsuki put the calling card back inside his pocket and focuses on driving. It seems like a good idea for him, at least.
When he reached his office, he immediately got into his Hero suit and headed out for his patroling. There he met up with Kirishima who was busy talking to a fan.
“Oi.” Katsuki called out.
Eijirou looked at him and grinned. “Ey! Bro! Didn't expect we have the same shift!” Eijirou bid his fan goodbye before he made his way to Katsuki who was standing still.
“How’s the kid going?” Eirijou initiated as they both started walking and looking around.
“Fine,” Katsuki grumble. “Fucking brat is a blabbermouth.” He added.
“Eh?” Eijirou questioned. “What do you mean?”
“Tch. Brat blabber about not having a mother to his teacher.” Katsuki said as he watches his surrounding.
“I’m sure the teacher was also aware since the media kinda put it on news. Everyone knows that at this point.” Eijirou said looking at Katsuki.
Eijirou received quietness in response. He keeps his gaze on Katsuki who looks like was in deep thought.
“Did you even tell Kazui what happened?” Eijirou looks worried now.
“He’s too fucking young to know his mom left us without anything.” Katsuki lashed out at Eijirou.
Eirijou knew what Katsuki meant. He was simply protecting his child from the pain of what his ex-wife did. At first, the thought of Katsuki being a father doesn’t suit him at all. But when he witnessed how devoting father Katsuki, it took him by surprised on how someone can change.
He saw how Katsuki got home tired but still willing to spend time with Kazui.
Believe it or not. He did once had to babysit Kazui due to Katsuki going on a mission, and his parents wasn’t in the country at that time. Kazui was 5 years old that time, and him, being good with kids. He handled him with ease. At a young age, Eijirou saw Kazui getting worried about his father’s well-being. He saw Kazui crying whenever he misses his papa. He even saw him getting quiet because Katsuki wasn’t around. He had to ensure him Katsuki is a great hero. Which he is! And when Katsuki got home, he saw how Katsuki embrace his child.
As his best friend, Eijirou hates seeing Katsuki helpless, even though he's aware he won't admit it. What Katsuki didn't know was Eijirou looking for his ex-wife, secretly.

Bigger Vent
TW: Gender Dysphoria, Sensory Over-stimulation, Touch-Starvation, CPTSD/Trauma.
Basically read only if you're in the headspace for negative things 😅
So let me recount everything that's happened through July:
Had two weeks' worth of sleep deprivation due to nightly fireworks
During those two weeks, exactly two days in, I learned that I need to move out in September, giving me a little under a month to find an apartment during a housing crisis
Four days in I learn that my therapist is retiring so I have no one to talk to about any of this, and there is a huge shortage of new therapists where I live
Six days in I almost give up on my certificate because getting a certificate in the first place is harder than I thought. Trauma from school is a thing, I have a learning disability, and god forbid any issue be a simple one for me
A week's worth of no sleep and I do not get food stamps or affordable housing because I do not have a job
There are three or four different people who need my help and they've gone through much worse than me at the time so honestly I have no regrets. But I also have no time to process my own changes and problems and no therapist to talk to. None of my friends who are already going through a lot deserve to have intense shit dumped on them all at once. It's not fair to them
I have no time for a nap or a break by this point, I need to find a job like yesterday. I can't find anything, I don't have enough experience. Plus moving to an entirely new location that I can actually "afford" means I would have to drive an hour at least to my workplace where the meager options are. Yay
Two weeks in the fireworks have stopped. I have gotten so overstimulated and have so little coherency that I'm doing everything wrong where I volunteer and it's making me feel like a worthless person, but I can't say anything because I'm here to help and it's important that everyone who works with me at the library feels like they're listened to. Genuinely, unironically. They work their asses off 😤
I delete a lot of posts on my blog that involve venting and calls for more asks because they get, without exaggeration, 0 notes, and it's incredibly embarrassing to be faced with the fact that I very publicly whined to absolutely no one. At this point whatever happens at least I know I'm doing this regardless of that possibility
Yesterday I got mad at my parents and friend. I feel like a monster for even thinking about how I acted because I get one or two days of hugs every three months and it's such a selfish reason for a breaking point. Like what the fuck is wrong with you, one of your friends is stressed because his partner literally had a baby a week ago, this friend that I snapped at just recently came back from a week's visit with an abusive stepmom, and your petty ass is touch-starved? Like, that's it? You're supposed to be an adult
This morning I finally tried to get a full night's sleep. I was woken up at 1 AM because of period cramps, so I look forward to some gender dysphoria today. I am now bordering on four weeks of, drum roll please...less than a week total of sleep total. I can take naps now, though, so that's nice
tl;dr I know things will be better soon but in short:

I wanna say something that's really mean and a lot of people are gonna hate me for it but idk it has to be said. Yor is an extremely boring and flat character. And this is not me hating on her, it's actually the opposite because I love Yor and I believe she is the most complex and nuanced character on the rooster. The problem is that no one seems to let her be the complex interesting character she is.
And the reason is because of fucking blatant misogyny and it drives me up the wall. Yor isn't allowed to be anything but a mother. She isn't allowed to an assassin, she isn't allowed to have friends, hell she isn't even allowed to be a sister. She's just a mother and nothing else.
We don't really see Yor being an assassin. She doesn't train or work on her skills, she didn't even have to work on her strength, she was born that way. The only time we get to focus on her job is the cruise arc but even then she's not even doing her actual job, she's being a bodyguard??? And the entire time she felt bad because she wasn't with her family??? And after all of that she forced her self to go enjoy the vacation with them even though she just spent the being beat up by people actively trying to murder her. Mind you- when Loid comes back from beating the living fuck out her brother only to get his ass saved by Nightfall- he gets to lay in bed while Yor just brushes everyone's hair??? And to top it all off, after all the work that she did protecting that random woman and her baby, Twilight is the one who actually ends up saving the day by disarming a bomb. WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU PUT THAT IN??? WHY WAS HE EVEN THERE??? COULDN'T HE JUST VANISH THE WAY YOR REGULARLY DOES SO TWILIGHT CAN FOCUS ON HIS JOB??? LIKE GO HOME OH MY GOD
And then there's the friend thing. Twilight has friends, he wouldn't classify them as friends but they're clearly on his side. Namely, he has Franky who he trust so much he gets to go little adventures with him and take care of his daughter. We even get a look at their meeting. Then there's Yor, Yor has no actual friends. There are her coworkers who fucking hate her for some unclear reason. Apparently she's weird (not even that weird just not very social because why give her an actual personality) so that means you gotta bully her like your a bunch of high school girls even though you're married adult women (one with a whole ass child). And then you introduce a new female character except she hates her because she's jealous of her, why, oh because of a man of course. I can't even think of a single other female character Yor talks to, and she clearly doesn't have any guy friends because make her uncomfortable.
"But the whole point is that she was a shy shut in and being with Loid and Anya makes her more confident" and you see why that is an issue right? Because when she's single and childless, she's lost and confused and isolated. The only genuine r/ship she has is with Yuri and it's fucking Yuri man come on. The only time she seems to feel fulfilled is when she gets to be a mother and a wife because fuck everything else. Dead parents? Groomed into a serial killer? Parentification? Workplace harassment? Vaguely suicidal thoughts? Who cares, her biggest dilemma is that she can't cook.
Speaking of which, that was a random fucking retcon. Because before she wasn't a good cook but she was competent. And then all of a sudden she just can't at all? Yor's whole fucking thing is that she raised her brother by herself after both he parents fucking died and I am supposed to believe she didn't even learn how to cook? You couldn't even let her have one fucking skill. Just a useless woman who does nothing but offer to make tea and coffee. Apparently she can kick ass but only when she's paid to or when her family is threatened (or just a child in general).
And the cherry on the cake. Not even the fucking dog likes her. Why doesn't the dog like her? Because she can't cook.
I am not even going to try to open the can of worms that is Lieutenant Yuri Briar because where would I even begin.
The one genuine developed relationship she has is the one with Anya and it's based on absolutely fucking nothing. She just decided this random child is her daughter now and that she wants to be her mother despite never actually expressing any interest in parenthood or children. Like she was a-ok throwing away all her freedom from before and just becoming a mother overnight because????????
"Oh she raised her brother-" That's more of a reason for her to NOT want to raise a child especially so suddenly. But who cares right? The only significance of that storyline is explaining Yuri's odd obsession with his sister, it didn't affect her psychological development at all. Because at the end of the day, she's a woman and raising and caring for children is instinctual even at the age of 12.

I remember you once wrote a post about snape not being written how JK rowling thought she did, can you elaborate on that please perhaps? I also heard he is so much more of a dick in the books (never read the books, only watched the movies some time ago xd)
Anon. Sit down. I have shit to SAY. Okay, so, Snape is 100% worse in the fucking books. He insults hermione so viciously that she permanently alters her appearance. He threatens to poison Neville's toad and actually punishes Gryffindor house when Hermione prevents that from happening. He constantly goes out of his way to insult, belittle, and embarrass Harry. There is no reason why an eleven year old boy should feel as though a teacher hates him. There's no reason why he should be right. Let's get one thing straight: Snape does not like Harry. He only protects Harry because of his love for Lily. He straight up admits it. Dumbledore asks him "You've grown to care for the boy?" and Snape says "for HIM???" Like. If Harry was not the son of lily, would Snape care about him at all? If Harry was the exact same boy (same personality, same everything), except that his mother was not lily, would Snape give a shit about him? No, right? So how can anyone say that Snape likes *Harry*? He doesn't! People will say that Snape had to be cruel to Harry to keep up his facade, but I call bullshit. Snape did not have to go as far as he did. When Snape catches Harry alone with the mauraders map, he insults Harry even though there is no one else alone. Tell me who he is putting on a show for? Harry already thinks Snape hates him, so why did Snape take that opportunity to viciously dig into him? Also, why does nobody talk about the fact that Snape chose to become a death eater in the first place? "He had to put on an act" Why join the play in the first place?? In my opinion, JKR gives him too many irredeemable characteristics and/or choices. Also wouldn't it have been a more sensible decision for him to be a good teacher to everyone? For someone who was trying to keep his secret identity under wraps, he does a poor job. Harry and his friends suspect him CONSTANTLY. Harry goes to Dumbledore multiple times about Snape still being in allegiance with the dark lord. If Snape's reasoning for being cruel to Harry and the non-Slytherins was so he would not draw suspicion to himself, he does an absolute shit job at it lmao.
Snape isn't an awful person as a facade. He's awful because that's who he genuinely is. Don't believe me? Well, we get a look at him outside of school, before he has any death eaters to impress. My beef with JKR is that we're supposed to forgive Snape after one chapter. The chapter "The Prince's Tale" is supposed to redeem Snape.
One. Singular. Chapter. In the final book of a 7 book series is supposed to undo every single thing we've seen so far. I'm not saying that's impossible, but I am saying it's not the chapter JKR seems to think it is. We're supposed to believe that Snape is so redeemed after this chapter that Harry deadass names his son after him. It absolutely KILLS me that in the chapter JKR uses to prove that Snape is a good person, he does more bad shit! It's not filled with cute Snape moments; it's filled with moments where he's a creepy ass young adult. He enters the potters' house after they die and you know what he does? He rips a photo containing Harry, James, and lily, and keeps the portion containing lily. That's fucking creepy! That photo could have been given to Harry, but no! Snape just had to keep the portion containing Lily.
When he's a teenager, he tells lily he won't "let" her do something (I forget exactly what it was). Lily accuses him of wanting to be a death eater and he not only doesn't deny it, but lily CALLS him out for not denying it. That is something that canonically happens. Snape DOES become a death eater! He is friends with people who do dark magic. He calles Lily a slur in front of a crowd of people. He's shown to have blood purist beliefs as a child; Lily asks him if her being muggleborn makes any difference and he hesitates before answering. It's clear he DOES think being a muggleborn makes someone less. I can forgive Snape for being a weirdo as a kid. Everything is more acceptable when you're a small child, but he never changes. In the chapter JKR uses to justify everything Snape has done so far, she shows him STILL being a bad person even outside of school!! She seems to think she wrote some tortured hero who was kind deep down, but she wrote a bully who was so obsessive over one woman that he didn't care about whether her husband and child died so long as she remained alive. Snape loved Harry? Snape was okay with him dying as a baby lmao. Once again, Snape only cared about Lily. JKR wrote Snape as obsessive when she clearly meant to write him as deeply in love. That's what I mean when I say she didn't write him how she seems to think.
Also, as an aside, I truly feel like Draco and Snape are kind of the same, but jkr HATES Draco, and that makes no sense to me lmao. Like, the series would have been better tied together if Draco was redeemed as well. I'm not saying Draco is a good person, but to call Snape a good person despite him being a cruel grown man, and in the same breath condemn Draco who is literally just a child who grew up in a racist family? What sense does that make.

i think you're onto something with the romance novels world and plot points needing to mirror the kind of outlandishness of the love story. bc the main characters are already inherently acting absurd just by falling madly in love in a month or whatever and then if you add in the contrivances of romance tropes, it starts to feel like whiplash trying to pretend the characters live in any sort of grounded "normal" world. Like when the author adds in a family conflict subplot where the MC is like in absolute shambles because her mom said something slightly passive aggressive at lunch. that reads as more jarring to me than like conflict being something ridiculous that her mom doesn't want her being a marine biologist bc they come from a long line of fishmongers. Give me absurd drama to match the over the top dialogue and character emotions, I knew it would be unrealistic it's a romance novel! I guess this applies more to romcoms, but the same would apply I think to an analogous serious scenario. Or at least that's my take on it
okay so having just finished genuinely the most boring romance novel I have ever read in my LIFE I'm going to expand on this a little so thank you for sending an ask that gives me such a great platform to do that
I personally generally prefer a romance that just gets fucking silly with it, like really outlandish. A Lady for the Duke (Alexis Hall) is obviously the dream, being a whole swoony historical trans-affirming fantasy, but contemporary fake relationship stories can also be fun in their sheer ridiculousness, like Love, Hate, and Clickbait (Liz Bowery), which I actually liked, and Unfortunately Yours (Tessa Bailey), which I did not like but was very funny. and let's not forget queen Helen Hoang's Bride Test, which has a premise that dances perilously close to human trafficking but all works out in the end!!!
BUT HAVING SAID THAT. I don't think that something needs to be totally implausible to be a good romance. two of my very favorites romance novels anywhere ever are Helen Hoang's Heart Principle (no one should be surprised Hoang is on her twice I adore her) and Akwaeke Emezi's You Made a Fool of Death with Your Beauty. both of these books are very grounded in reality but with very uncommon situations to heighten emotions and add urgency; in Hoang's case it's a character's adult autism diagnosis + death of a parent and in Emezi's case it's a very sudden and #problematic attraction coming out of absolutely nowhere. the stakes are very real, mostly centering around being true to yourself v disappointing your family, but the circumstances are still wild enough to make you say "god DAMN" and keep turning pages. hell, I'll even be extremely generous and include Mistakes Were Made (Meryl Wilsner) which is kind of a flop but does have the intriguing premise of "what if you were fucking a milf but her kid was YOUR BEST FRIEND and it was a secret?"
those are like the two sweet spots TO ME, and this book I just read (which was Thank You for Sharing by Rachel Runya Katz, I feel so bad putting it on blast but I know people are going to ask) really solidified it for me because TYFS didn't fall into either of those categories. I'm going to say something absolutely insane, which is that multiple times while I was reading it I found myself wishing that the book was fanfic, because on its own it just... didn't bring a lot to the table? it falls into the grounded category but doesn't really bring any of those heightened stakes to the story, it's just 330 pages of people in their late twenties complaining about dating and their office jobs. if I wanted that I could just ask my group chat! there's nothing particularly particularly gripping about watching made up strangers do it!
but then I was like oh hang on... if this was two fictional characters who are usually fighting with swords or throwing cars at each other or something this would be so gripping. it's literally the coffee shop AU principle, right? like seeing people in a very mundane setting having an office job and going to a bar is very shrimpteresting when they're normally defusing space bombs. I was explaining this to my housemates and I couldn't think of a straight couple to apply it to (the book is m/f) so I said Naruto and Sasuke, which is crazy because I've never seen a single episode of Naruto, but like. idk Naruto being a museum curator who has to work with Sasuke, a marketing specialist who he had beef with a summer camp 14 years ago, sounds kind of compelling, right? definitely more than just two people I don't know.
there's a post on here that I think about a lot that talks about why advertising a story with tropes doesn't work for original fiction as well as it does for fan fic because knowing the tropes is more helpful when you already have a sense of investment in the characters and their personalities, and I think this is related to that! I think sometimes you NEED to have a wider sense of scope for the characters for them to be interesting in a very mundane setting!
ANYWAY. much to consider, etc.

Everyone tagging my addition to a post about how fucking cool my little sister was at fourteen and has been every year since to say that they were an absolute cringe fest at fourteen: one, it was about my rad as hell baby sis, it’s okay, not everyone can be as cool as her
And two: be kinder to yourself. Just because you were in the awkward second stage of your pokemon evolution line doesn’t mean you didn’t rock hard. You had the whole world stacked against you and the monumental task of finding out who the fuck you were while every adult was telling you you were either acting like an idiot or had nothing to look forward to. Do you even comprehend how unfair those odds were? How unfair it was to ask you to not make mistakes trying to figure out how to be an independent adult figure while everyone who already was an adult talked down on you instead of helping? How absolutely fucked it was to dismiss you as an idiot and as embarrassing just because you were young?
You were awesome at fourteen years old, no matter how lame, because you’re now here and you survived that fucking gauntlet of never-being-enough for long enough to realize you don’t need to give a shit. The only job you have now is to not be that same jackass adult to the next batch of fourteen year olds trying to climb their own Everest that is figuring out who the fuck they are by talking down on them like they’re idiots or chronically cringe or whatever the hell the kids are saying these days.
Kids are cool. They rock hard. Probably harder than you do if you’re actually bullying the younger version of you by calling them an idiot or cringe or uncool or whatever the current trend is.
I was a lame fourteen year old because I actively wanted to be, and figured that being lame was the best way to survive into adulthood without get ground down by the boot upon my neck. And fourteen year old me was right, making them the coolest fucking lamest fourteen year old as far as I’m concerned.
That fourteen year old fortnite dancing or making tiktoks or doing whatever kids are doing these days is cool as shit because they’re earnestly trying to figure out who they are and taking joy our of things even if they’re silly or adults are telling them they’re idiots for enjoying it instead of being miserable and depressed to “build character” or some horse shit. And they’re cooler than you if you’ve become the type of adult who talks down on teenagers doing that kind of stuff and having fun while doing it. That’s some “I’m not like other girls/guys/people” horseshit if I’ve ever seen it. Knock it the hell off and start rediscovering what fourteen year old you already knew: that earnestly trying to find out who you are is a process that necessitates mortification and that anyone who willingly and genuinely submits to that fact is more mature than anyone mocking it could ever dream of being.
And if you’re fourteen years old and reading this, or just a teen in general having to figure out who you are while all the adults in the world seem to be shitting on you out of some kind of projection of their own issues onto you and yours? You’re stronger than they are already. Don’t let them fool you, they’ve got it no more figured out than you. Continue whatever you’re doing as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone and you’ll be fine. In fact, you’ll be cool as fuck. And that’s a certified adult opinion.

baby daddy touya is such a hypocrite omg ?
“strange men around my daughter” U DO STRANGE JOBS FOR MONEY SIR. i’ll want to slap him so hard
"You're really going out with him again?"
Touya stands in the doorway to your bedroom, hands on his hips.
"We aren't doing this again," you say as you fasten your earring unto place, completely your date night attire. Touya is man enough to admit that he's jealous to see you like this, dolled up for someone that isn't him, excited for a night without him or your daughter. "He's a good guy and he's taking me to a nice place, so I don't see a reason not to go. You are not going to stop me."
Touya wants to launch into his usual speech about how you don't care about him or the family, but he knows it's a lost cause at this point. You're going on that goddamn date, hell or high water.
But hopefully, he can stop any after date shenanigans.
"He better not be staying the night."
"Touya! I-I am an adult woman," you stammer over yourself, "It's not any of your business if I decide to have a guest sleep on the couch-"
"Oh, fuck off," Touya groans, "Sleep on the couch, my ass."
"I'm being serious!"
"I slept on the couch last month, remember?" he says, "And then I bought you a pregnancy test two weeks later."
"Todoroki Touya!"
You slept his arm as hard as you can and he recoils with a sharp intake, air hissing through his teeth. "Motherfucker, don't get mad at me- it was negative! If you could just take birth control correctly, we-"
The doorbell rings. You take a step back, flustered, and grab for you coat. Touya is still blocking the doorway with his body, that gleam in his eye melting into something more genuine and sad.
"He's here, I gotta go," you slip your arms through the sleeves of your jacket, "I'll be back before the last train."
"Without the guy, right?"
You sigh, slipping under his arm into the hall. "Touya, can you just let him in for me while I say goodbye to Rei?"
You both begrudgingly part, you towards the back of the apartment, Touya towards the front. There's feelings there, Touya knows that. This is just some feeble attempt to distance yourself from him.
It's hard to be in love with him-- he knows that. He knows it's hard to trust him when there's been so many failures in the past, to hold someone who's so focused on self destruction that they might bring you down with them one day.
But, fuck, it stings to see the consequences of his mistakes.
"You know, I don't like the idea of some stranger in my mama's house-" Touya shouts over his shoulder back to you as he flings open the door, not even giving the man in question the dignity of looking him in the eyes.
"Aw, don't be like that," a eerily familiar voice says. Touya slowly turns back around to face him, eyes narrowed in disgusted recognition. The blonde has his hands tucked into the pockets of his signature bomber jacket with a smug little smirk. "I'm not really a stranger, am I, Dabi?"
Keigo Takami, a ghost from a life he tried to leave behind, stands at your door with an awfully placid expression.
"What the fuck are you doing here, Hawks?" Touya steps into him, chest to chest, face to face, voice too low to carry into the home, "I should fucking kill you for even-"
"Calm down, calm down!" Keigo -Hawks to people in the know- laughs, patting Touya's chest with a saccharine affection, "I'm just here to give you a friendly reminder."
"Really? A reminder?" he scoffs, "Like I could forget your ugly ass."
Keigo sobers immediately, eyes flat and affectation-less. Touya can hear your heels against the hardwood as you approach, clearly unaware for the scene awaiting you. "A reminder that we know what's important to you and where they live.
Three dates. You went on three dates with this 'good guy'-
-completely unaware he's the danger you've been trying to avoid.

My opinion of you? Hmmmm. Well honestly, my opinion of you… really fucking good.
I dunno how comfortable you are with compliments so i’m putting a little warning here; compliments incoming :)
Firstly, you are an awesome writer. Like genuinely. Plus it’s so impressive that you write/post those microfics everyday, it’s serious (sirius haha) dedication, and most ppl wouldn’t have it in them to keep a routine like that.
Two, you have legit saved people. People here felt safe enough to ask you for help, and from all i’ve seen, you’re damn good at giving advice.
Plus I saw that one anon you answered where you told the person not to admit they cheated if it’d get them in more trouble than they deserve, and I salut you for that. (I remember you also told them that cheating is wrong and mostly don’t do it- don’t worry I got the right message).
Anyway, my point is, there aren’t many places people feel safe enough to talk about their problems or insecurities or even dangers. Especially on the internet. So you’ve made a really good community here. You should be proud.
But we’re doing full honesty right? So honestly, I think that it seems like sometimes you don’t have enough faith in yourself.
I mean your fics are amazing, but also, they’re fucking free and a gift to the fandom. So you shouldn’t feel the need to meet anyone’s demands or be good enough for anyone but yourself.
And here, you have helped so many people, I understand insecurity is a part of living, but maybe you don’t get how helpful your blog is. Whenever I come on here, you’ve posted a microfic or made a marauders joke or truly helped someone (with annoyingly good advice btw, i’m an adult and yet NO WHERE NEAR as mature, so good on u), and it’s soothing. You’re soothing.
Give yourself credit, is what i’m saying.
You’re allowed to feel proud that you help people, proud that people love your writing, and ignore anyone who’s an asshole cause they’re dumb anyway.
And don’t forget that you don’t owe anyone anything. You don’t owe anyone a fic, or a tumblr post or an anon answer or even (within reason) kindness. You’re being generous with your time and your kindness by helping people. And while obviously that’s a good thing, you shouldn’t feel pressured to do so.
Wait let me rephrase that- anyone who pressures you to do so is a bad person and should be strongly ignored.
You don’t have to apologise for not wanting to post or be on social media. And anyone who cares should value that you’re taking time for yourself.
Plus, and sorry if it’s weird to bring up your like, real life, but I think you’re probably a really great teacher. I didn’t have many people who believed in me growing up and you seem like someone who believes in people. And that’s what matters most.
(Plus all teachers are criminally underpaid so like- good for you sticking with a half shitty job- though then again all jobs are half shitty)
Also, and in this day and age this is a truly high compliment, you don’t seem like you’ve ever sent hate.
You just have that vibe. You know… nice :)
So yes, that is my opinion of you.
Also, random question, how much gory stuff in films can you take? Usually i’m pretty alright, but I watched a pretty gross film earlier and it reminded I can’t watch everything gory.
So yeah… that’s all ❤️
Hi, um...I am SO sorry, my my allergies are terrible and I seem to be sweating from my eyes....nothing to see here...😭😭😭😭
Thank you. Genuinely. I have honestly been struggling a fair amount lately, so notes like this make a much bigger difference than you would think <3
As far as films, I'm alright with gore. I actually LOVE horror films, but I prefer psychological horror and horror based on East Asian legends.
Thank you again <3 <3 <3

Season 5 wrap up. Season 5 and 4 comparison
As you all probably know by now I like s5 more than s4, for pretty obvious reasons if you've read my s4 thoughts
Things season 5 did better than season 4:
Sirenix and Harmonix make more logical sense than Believix. Forms from outside sources have not been done before and having be given by a higher power makes more sense than suddenly forms can be influenced by how much people on a particular planet believe in magic. It makes even more sense once you remember that Earth is in the Magical fucking Dimension and that Earth not having magic is a fluke
No seriously who the fuck discovered Believix in the magical dimension and HOW?
Lack of love and pet and other stupid jobs
The romance drama was less stupid. Like yes it's VERY stupid and I hate it, but Stella being mad because she thought Brandon was insulting her fashion design makes marginally more sense than what ever the fuck was going on with Mitzi. It's like that for all of them except Skloom, like it's marginally less stupid and brain numbing
Musa is snarky again!!!! God bless!!!! And Riven is acting like a natural continuation of his s2 self, extreme stupidity and inability to read social ques and all!! My babies are back!
Completely irrelevant plot central characters did not happen. At least fucking Krystal tried to heal Sky, that more that I can say about Andy's bitch ass
Does Roy count? I can remember like three scenes he was in, he is a minor character
Tritannus has an actual personality and with some minor tweaks could be genuinely compelling, I cannot say the same for the Wizards of no personality
No secondary antagonists that are objectively better than the main ones and make me want to tear my hair out because I want to see more of them, but it does forget that Diana exists during the lilo so there's that
The civilian outfits were better. There still bad but there not s4's civilian outfits sooo
The Selkies are plot relevant unlike some pets I can't be bothered to remember
The tone of the season was FAR more consistent. Like s4 fucking was so childish than nose dived into Nabu's death, but everything in s5 didn't feel like tonal whiplash
Less transformations. Two is still annoying but it's BETTER THAN FUCKING THREE
At least they had to fucking earn the extra transformations and there's no hand out faries
All the girls got something to do in s5, they all at least got one plotline or big moment. Name either of those things for s4 Flora. You can't because they don't exist
Is not still on fucking earth. Yes very earth centered but we get to see a bunch of fun new locations
The girls and specialists do not act like units with hiveminds
Season 5 actually expanded on how magic on earth would look and that's neat
Tritannus's powers are stupid but at least there explained
The relationship between Tritannus and Icy is more believable than anything between the Wizards of the Black circle, I'm so sorry
Actually let's the next form come without shitting on the previous one
Things season 4 did better than season 5:
NO YOU SONS OF BITCHES LET THEM BE ADULTS!!!!
At least s4 had the decency to say Nabu was just sleeping
No fairy on fairy violence :'((, those girlies in the rainbow mantel ep didn't even get to transform
The earth faries were majorly compelling and have a really interesting motivation, none of the s5 villains are like that
Icy has less stage presence than the FUCKING WIZARDS OF THE BLACK CIRCLE THIS IS FUCKING CRIME
Oh dear god why is Diaspro here why is the continuity in FLAMES
Convergence can do anything, part 2, but worst this time
Letting magical women be queens, Nereus < Tressa
The pendant thing is objectively stupider Sky's Andy drama in s4, it's less stupid than Rivusa nonsense in s4 tho
Diaspro was fucking ridiculous tho
I fully believe that s4 would give mutant main characters different character models
Why does s5 have so many filler episodes. The lilo AND a magic Christmas are you kidding me??
Flora's "no don't hurt it!" Thing has gotten so much worse
They literally made Stella a child I'm so furious
There are more completely meaningless side plots
Things they both fucked up on:
THEY MENTION THE ROXY BLOOM PARALLEL FUCKING AGAIN AND STILL DO JACK SHIT WITH IT
More mind control??? Really????? Really???? Are we being serious????
Extremely childish compared to previous seasons
Soft boy Helia
