I had the worlds most heartbreaking thought.

Imagine this Glinda: She’s older, her health is failing her, and she’s very well aware her time is short at this point. She spends more time asleep than not because she dreams of Elphaba and all she ever wanted.

Her servants are worried because she’s talking to herself, speaking wistfully about wedding dresses and children and a little house in peaceful woods, all things that never happened. She’ll laugh and she’ll cry and sometimes she just sighs. None of them know Glinda is talking to Elphaba, if nothing else just immersing herself in her dreams as things come to an end.

She dies loving Elphie and never being able to say it to her face.
