Types!
I've been taking a lot of buses visiting a friend in sweaty heat, so this is slightly inspired off of that-

with pride month approaching i just wanted to remind everyone that the activism of black trans women and gender non-conforming people are a primary reason why our community has any rights today. with the current rise of conservativism and bigotry it's extra important now more than ever to give these people their flowers and to recognize and celebrate their existence.

Gender Non-Conforming : a gender expression spectrum that describes anyone who expresses at least one gender quality that does not align with the societal expectations of their internal gender. Also called GNC.

Hate to break it to people but as someone who was a tomboy all throughout childhood and then ended up genderqueer, society does not reward "girls" for being masculine

on the topic of women shaving their legs. alright
i am about to hit a wasp nest saying this but yeah i do think it serves a political purpose
i dont shave my legs because i dont like shaving them. but also- suffering and being treated bad for not conforming is not a good enough reason for me to bend to it
ive been treated horribly pretty consistently for over half my life for dressing very masculine, and so the tiny drop in the bucket that is over a decade of ostracism, othering and violent punishment for not falling in line means nothing to me. no matter whats been thrown at me i see no reason why i should wear makeup, jewelry, or womens clothing. i see no reason why i should shave my legs if ive survived all of that
the reason why i can handle all of this is because, even if other gnc women are extremely rare, me existing in public spaces like this helps normalize it. so that other women who dont like shaving their legs (for aesthetic reasons, even! not everything is about practicality- feeling happy with your own presentation is worth it) can find their courage and join me
so while i dont dress like this solely for political reasons, yes. it does serve a political purpose
dressing in conformity with how youre expected to isn't revolutionary and... kinda never will be. however, even if you do shave your legs, there are still ways to help the women who dont
if you notice women tearing others down for not shaving their legs, or dressing/behaving in masculine ways, or just failing at femininity: call them out on it. be direct. ask them why they have a problem with it, and if they keep being nasty to other women, dont be friends with those people! cut them off! her support of you is probably skindeep anyway. she is not an actual girl's girl if shes doing the patriarchy's work for it
also, being kind to gnc women. some of us may look sad or anxious around people, because for the most part, we arent really treated as humans. start conversations with us. invite us to participate in things. we arent aliens; we may have more in common with you than you think
anyways, thank you for reading this far if you did. and have a nice day

happy international lesbian day! here’s a print about what being a butch lesbian means/feels like for me.
as a butch lesbian I often find that I make not only cishet people uncomfortable but also gay and trans people too. I’m too masculine to be seen as a woman but the fact I’m a lesbian makes it clear I’m not a man. I’m not gnc in the “right” way that appeals to most people, I don’t wear dresses or skirts, I don’t wear makeup and I take up space on purpose. there’s no neat box people can fit me into unless they want to acknowledge that butch lesbian can be a gender of its own if the butch in question wants it to be.
terfs fuck off

Queer 👏 people 👏 are 👏 not 👏 all 👏 fucking 👏 activists 👏
Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities
Stop trying to back us into a corner so you can justify your discrimination on the basis that we don’t know what we’re talking about or can’t “defend” ourselves to you
Stop treating every queer person that stands up and says “I want to be treated like a person” as if they’re an activist
Cut that bullshit out
Marginalised people just want to exist and be happy
I don’t know everything, and that doesn’t make me undeserving of your respect or my human rights you fucker
I don’t even owe you the stuff I do know- I still am entitled to basic fucking respect
TLDR; Queer people shouldn’t have to be historians or scientists for you to not be a fucking dick

Save assumptions and projections for fictional characters and historical figures-
You have no way of knowing of the person in a skirt is an "egg" or simply gnc
You have no way of knowing someone is gay or just has a flamboyant personality
All the different "signs" and "tells" are stereotypes, not all negative but still stereotypes. It's harmful to stereotype people in general. Personal embrace of a stereotype doesn't change that it's still harmful to put them onto others.
You can't cause harm to a dead person or to a fictional character, hence the beginning of this post.
People are more than how they present

It is inherently fun and sexy to say statements that swap the traditional genders of pronouns and terms mid-statement, such as: "I'm going to make him my wife" "She's my boyfriend" "Who says a guy can't be a pretty princess?" "That girl's the coolest dude I've ever met" "She's a madman who has to be stopped" "It's not his fault he's a material girl" Gender is a set of watercolors and the prettiest shades come from mixing the paints together.

transsexual is not an old fashioned or outdated term. transsexual is not a term only used by transmedicalists, truscum and transphobic trans people. you do not have to like or use the term transsexual for yourself and no one is forcing you to, however you do have to be normal about other people using the term transsexual to describe themselves and their experiences.
people still use the term transsexual, transsexual is a term steeped in trans history and trans liberation because transness is not just about the gender binary but also about the sex binary. for many people transness is inherently related to their sex and they are trying to change their sex. sex is not an irrefutable, immutable fact and the sooner people accept that the sooner trans, nonbinary and intersex liberation becomes a possibility. I hate the sentiment that gender is a changeable social construct and sex is a biological fact because sex is also a changeable social construct.
stop buying into t_rf and transphobic rhetoric about sex.
