I don’t know what to share about my life anymore to get people’s attention. We are a family of ten trying to survive in northern Gaza. Our landlord keeps increasing our rent, and we will be at the mercy of the drones and the tanks if we have to leave, on top of having to leave behind all of our belongings. Every kind of food at the market now costs a fortune and there are no jobs available due to the dangerous situation outside, so we have to fully rely on this campaign.

This is a drawing my friend made of my dearest sister Soso, who is only four years old and has already suffered so much in her short life. I want to make it more bearable for her, but I can’t do it alone.

In a humble tent, the cat "Loza" trembled from exhaustion, searching for safety amid the cold and fear. Beside her sat Abdulrahman, the kind-hearted boy who knew nothing but love and compassion.

One cold night, Loza gave birth to four tiny kittens inside the tent. Their faint cries blended with the sound of the wind, as if they were mourning the harshness of the world they had entered.

But the joy did not last long...

Abdulrahman suffered severe burns after a shell landed near the tent where he was playing.

He is now in the intensive care unit at Al-Maamadani Hospital.

Meanwhile, Loza and her little kittens wait for him every day at the entrance of the tent, missing his embrace — the small world of safety and love he once gave them.

Today,

Abdulrahman needs us, just as Loza once needed him.

He needs treatment so he can heal, smile again, and return to his little family.

On April 26, a tragedy struck my city. During the Lapu Lapu Filipino Festival in Vancouver, a man drove his car thru the crowd, killing 11 people and injuring many more. Some with critical injuries who are still in hospital. There aren't many go fund me initiatives at this time, and most have exceeded their goals by 10s of thousands of dollars which is just a testament to the powerful affect this tragedy had on our communities. I had a beautiful house and I had clothing stores, but they were completely destroyed during the brutal war on the Gaza Strip, which was a source of income for us. The tent we live in now does not protect us from the heat of summer or the harsh cold of winter and rain. I want you to help me so that I can be with my family again
