Patiently waiting for the “Out of Touch (I’m out of Time)” by Hall and Oates edit of Goncharov (1973). I mean come on the lyrics are right there, from how much the characters are constantly under threat of ‘running out of time’ which is the exact lyrics of the song. Just imagine “You’re Out of Touch, I’m Out of Time?” during the HALLWAY SCENE, or heck, THE BRIDGE SCENE?!?!? ! “Smoking Guns Hot to the Touch” over the infamous last confrontation between Katya and Goncharov as both realise that they are out of time!? The lyrics are there yall tag me when this edit comes to be

goncharov fact:

in preparation for his role as goncharov, robert de niro traveled to naples, italy. during the trip he exclusively listened to rasputin by bony m and moskau by genghis khan to work on his russian accent. critic said this would be a terrible way to prepare for the character, however, he later won an oscar for his role and was praised by russian news outlets for the realism of his accent & portrayal of a russian man.

shout out to when i told my dad about goncharov and he figured out it was fake because i told him "1973 martin scorsese film with robert de niro" and he said that wasn't possible because the godfather came out in 1972 and the godfather part II came out in 1974 and they wouldn't have had time to make a movie in between. a perfectly good jest, foiled by this man's weird and vast knowledge set
