Finished! Near the end, I nearly regretted doing this because I had so many errors. But.... I really like how it came out. I have plans to add an inside pocket and cover up the threads so it's safe to use, and I'll be good. Human tirefire Clint Barton pattern is by @todayiwrotenothing and yellow squares pattern (with some of my own tweaks) by @dak-says-so . Thank you both for sharing thess patterns with me!

You already added Kate Bishop and you mention Shehulk, Jessica Drew and America Chavez. I was wondering what other comic characters are you planning to add if any? Also what role are Jess and America going to play in the story?

hi !! thank you so much for this ask :) so america and kate will be playing supporting roles in a few side fics before eventually i think i’m gonna write a long oneshot/a minific about them?  i actually have a handful of minifics planned that surround canon (movies or comics) characters/relationships but i don’t know when exactly i’ll be writing them even if i do know for the most part when they’re taking place.  

so amerikate will first be featured in symbiosis (olivia’s fic); the first amerikate oneshot I try to tell you I love you but it comes out a lament (working title lol) takes place concurrently with the first part during a mission in los angeles, and eventually kate returns to new york and america visits her.  

later on, america joins the avengers for the battles in seoul and sokovia, as instead of clint barton’s house being the safehouse, it’s one of kate’s family’s homes in the midwest.  america’s waiting for her there so she meets the avengers again, decides to help out a bit, and then helps fight ultron’s bots.  

she later joins the new avengers that form post aou (sam, her, the maximoffs, kate, and rhodey) and so is involved a bit during the beginning of civil war, but she and kate have to dip before the actual punching starts because kate is dealing with a giant personal loss and america wants to support her.  

from there, they’re featured in infinity war and eventually a sequel minific entitled I have lost a hero which involves the two of them and sort of Clint opening a detective agency to help project post-snap nyc.  

as for jessica drew, she makes her first appearance during the beginning of eternity, when she and delphine are beginning their flirtationship and audrey is working with the angels of mercy team.  jessica’s definitely on the wrong side of the fight at first but eventually betrays johann fenhoff (the villain of that arc (yes i know he was on agent carter but it’s whatever let’s pretend he wasn’t)) and joins the angels cause.  she’s later featured in the endgame arc and eventually lambent (act 2) where she, peter, winnie, and cindy begin to build like a vigilante team of spider-heroes (Even tho winnie doesn’t technically have spider-related powers lol)

as for other comics characters—yes!  harry osborn will be a secondary love interest for winnie, miles morales will be featured in lambent, and gwen stacy/spider-gwen will also be joining them (not romantically w peter though i think i’d have her be around miles’ age).  those are all i’m certain about right now but the list is definitely subject to grow

i’ve been drowning myself in Young Avengers bc i’m feeling nostalgic af so i decided to make a fic rec

first of all, anything by Ardatli is of course amazing but my personal favorites are Green Man From Outer Space and both works in the Waves and Particles series

another author everyone knows: Khirsah and their fandom classics in the Teenage Wasteland series. I also really love The Edge of Seventeen. There is major character death in that one

Retail Hell with the Young Avengers by thepinupchemist is probably my favorite au series ever. No powers, all of them work in a mall. It’s mostly hilarious af. Wickling, ThinkFast, AmeriKate, and gnc!Loki

A Study in Scarlet Witches by benwisehart is another fandom classic, esp if you like Tommy. Featuring the Minimoffs brotherly bond and Viv makes an appearance too. Another really good one from benwisehart is Embrace, which is Tommy-centric. So good <3

The Long Fall is a ThinkFast soulmate au with really well-written interactions and For the Love of Dog is a Wickling au in which Tommy is worried about Billy and gives him a dog to foster in the hopes that it’ll help his depression and Teddy’s the helpful cashier at the local pet store. Both are by ApolloAttraction

The Endless Days is a Tommy pov detailing his thoughts and observations during Billy’s slump and it is so fucking good. Equally as good is an eternal recurrence of bad decisions (and one good one) that takes Nate’s feelings that drove him to save Billy in Children’s Crusade and runs with it. Both are by NightsMistress

Scenes from a Wedding is a Wickling fic that chronicles the pains of getting married. It’s so funny, and Tommy is a great brother. Stay, Stay, Stay is so fucking good. It focuses on Tommy and Eli’s friendship post Children’s Crusade and through vol.2. Both are written by Traincat

A Double Life by Amonae is a good mystery fic set in an au where Avengers Disassembled never happened. Group dynamics are the same as in the comics, more or less, with more Teddy and Kate friendship and Eli and Billy friendship

Children’s Crusade by Nyxelestia is my favorite take on the Young Avengers in the MCU. No pairings but there are hints of pre-slash

Lumeleo’s Knit Up, Tear Down isn’t exclusively a Young Avengers fic. Fic is through Magneto’s pov and explores his relationship with members of his family as they go through comic book events. So good and so sad

I’m gonna most likely add more to this when I remember/encounter them

so what are you most and least excited abt for marvel phase 4

oooof i guess i havent been that vocal about it haha!! well let’s start with most excited:

THOR LOVE AND THUNDER - natalie is back and is going to be thor i wouldnt trust anyone but taika to do this and tessa has already been talking about bi valkyrie and im just in love with it already 

HAWKEYE - i mean my WIFE KATE BISHOP IS COMING !!!! and with kate bishop comes the young avengers and with the young avengers comes lgbtq+ characters !! if i see america chavez say “princess, i’ve seen the way you look at me, you’re not that straight” on the big screen my amerikate heart will EXPLODE and kill everyone in the theater

the eternals - that entire cast can GET IT i mean whoever had the genius idea to add salma hayek to the cast needs a raise - not to mention angelina jolie and richard madden and kumail nanjiani … hot damn

falcon and winter soldier - i mean ive been so ready for the sambucky rom com cop show that officially has sharon coming back in it i mean ... AMAZING

shang chi - i mean what more can be said besides BLESS

now least excited: (im just warning you some of my unpopular marvel opinions are gonna jump out)

wandavision - i dont think i have been subtle about my dislike for mcu wanda so this is pretty self explanatory HOWEVER ... teyonah parris just got cast for monica to debut in this series soooo to me that is the only thing that can save this show for me if anything can save it

doctor strange 2 - i gotta be honest i was pretty excited for this but then i saw that mcu wanda is going to be in it and i just ... sigh i mean im obviously still ready to see stephen and hopefully more christine who has been completely forgotten but im definitely a lot less excited now

black widow - as much as i am here for female solo movies and the addition of one of my og women crushes rachel weisz and the introduction of yelena ... not much is gonna save the movie from scar jo unless she decides to be a tree in this one
