The Experiment | Part 2

In case y'all missed it, I asked one of my best friends to watch Stranger Things and here's what she had to say about season 1 and 2 .

Now, here's the updated version of season 3 that she finished so fucking fast and I felt guilty because she told me didn't sleep because she was desperate for answers, my sweet summer child.

This time around she'd update me as she watched the episodes and needless to say I woke up today with way too many messages

She's 100% convinced that Mike is gay because she said and I quote: "What teenage boy takes off the hands of his girlfriend like he did?".She also said that Mike should remember that friendships are important too, she doesn't understand why he's avoiding his friends and focusing too much on El.

She loves Max Mayfield BTW (again, sweet summer child). She 100% agrees that El needs to learn how to be herself without the influence of others.

She said that the biggest problem she has with Mike and El is that El didn't even know what a friend was the first season, how can se be in a relationship? However, she does think that if Mike learns how to listen to her they might work it out but she's not sure they should. "Ok I guess they're not going to work it after all" says her after their break up. Also, she was like: "shouldn't he be more upset about this?

In comes the rain fight scene and I think the conversation deserves to be in a mural somewhere. This is what she said and I apologize for the language and for how she talks about Mike but this deserves to be translated in it's entirety because her rant was epic.

"Why. The. Fuck. Was Mike being such an ass?! He used to be so sweet to Will and now he's treating him like this? Hell nah! Like, I get that he wants to spend time with his girlfriend and that's fine, but that doesn't mean he gets to treat Will like this!

And who the fuck said anything about Will not liking girls? Will didn't! So why the fuck would Mike say this completely unprovoked? Like, this is the kind of shit Will's bullies would say! I don't know who the fuck this Mike is, but it's definitely not the kid from last season.

"Oh se he goes to apologize to Will but doesn't apologize to El?" She asked me after she calmed down from her seething rage. "Inch teresting"

"Oh boy, Billy is gonna die. Am I supposed to want him not to?".

"How the fuck did Soviet Union manage to build this entire lab underground without anyone noticing? And this is I'm thr hight of cold war too, makes no sense but what do I know?"

She absolutely adores Robin, she thinks she and Steve will get together.

"Am I supposed to feel bad for Billy?" Needless to say, she doesn't like Billy.

"What. The. Fuck. Am. I. Watching?" She asked during the people turning into slush scene.

"Oh. So I guess Robin and Steve won't get together after all" lmao I laughed.

"Oh they do want me to feel sorry for Billy, huh"

She had a mental breakdown over Hop's "death". She sent an invoice crying and cursing me for bribing her into watching the show.

She also noticed how unresponsive Mike acted after El told him she loved him and was like: "is this boy ok? Like, I'm sorry Bia (my nickname) but you're telling me he just stood there with his eyes opened while she declared her love and kissed him? Am I watching this right? Answer me dammit!" (She was angry when I refused to tell her anything lmao).

Now, bare in mind that I haven't told her about Byler at all, didn't even tell her I ship it because I wanted her to be as unbiased as possible. She told me she had thoughts/theories and I told them to share them even after she claimed she didn't think she was right.

This bellow are her thoughts and hers alone, translated from Brazilian Portuguese to English.

"I just feel like Hop's letter is telling us something about Mike, maybe? Like, how he's afraid of change, of confronting his feelings, maybe? Like, I know you won't tell me, but I don't think this scene is about El leaving at all, I think it's about Will leaving.

"But I have a theory? I don't know, but the scene parallels the scene from when they find Will's body, right? But he comes home and holds his mom and I think this when he realized he has feelings for Will? Maybe? Or at the very least he realized he isn't straight.

" I didn't think Will was gay until I saw his reaction to what Mike said, and I think Will felt that he was stupid for believing that Mike cared for him at all. He destroyed the castle because he lost his childhood, he lost everything when he wasn't even looking, and I also think he called himself stupid because he thinks it was stupid of him to hope Mike could ever think of Will that way.

"I don't think Mike truly loves El, and he's coming to terms with the reason why he doesn't"

She then begged me for information which I refused to give her, obviously. But this is part 2. Now onto the last season *laughs maniacally *

MY FIRST SHIFT — or mini shift, whatever.

I don’t really like to call it mini shift cause I believe that no matter how long you spent on your dr, you shifted, it was a shift, you shifted your perspective, your consciousness.

I wanted to share this cause shifting is something so simple and natural that you can shift even if you don’t have intention to shift in the momment or don’t believe in it 100%, cause that was my case.

This happened to me a couple of months ago, I don’t remember the month exactly rn, but I remember that I came home this day and I was super tired, so I went to take a nap in the afternoon.

At the time, I was trying to shift to a specific reality, and all I could think about was that reality. Like, every time i was doing something I’d think: “this will help me to shift” or “I’m on my dr right now”, any kind of these affirmations, so that probably helped too.

So, when I took the nap, i had a lucid dream, and my first thought was to shift. I remember that I was dreaming of being in an elevator when I got conscious of the dream and I thought like “when these doors open, I’ll be on my dr”. And then the doors opened and all I could see was white, like a flash right on my face.

Then this flash faded and i was on my dr house. I didn’t opened my eyes but I knew that I was there, I just knew. I knew that I was laying on a pool lounger right next to my pool. I didn’t opened my eyes but the image of the pool came to my mind, and I didn’t made that up, I didn’t imagined, was my memory from that reality.

Idk how to explain but, imagine when you’re in your bed, and you close your eyes. Even with your eyes closed, you still know where you are, right? You know where all the things in your bedroom are. You know the surroundings.

It was exactly like that. I didn’t opened my eyes, but I knew the surroundings. I knew i was on my yard by the pool and i even listened to my dogs there.

But that was the first time that I ever got so close to shift, like, I actually shifted, so I got a little bit too much excited and nervous and I was like “I gotta tell someone wtf just happened omg”. And then I came back to my cr.

And that was it. I was just going to rest and then boom, i had a lucid dream and shifted. I got very close to shift again last week, I still don’t know if i shifted last week or was just a crazy dream, I think I’m gonna write about it too later so I can see someone else’s opinion.

Anyway, I hope you guys understand this cause english is not my first language so it’s very difficult to translate exactly what happened, and my writing might be bad because of that. :P

Headcanon: Despite being compared a lot and having some major similarities i background, Stephanie & Jason have wildly different temperaments. They'd certainly get along under better circumstances, but prior to Jason becoming Red Hood, it'd very much be a "Stephanie lifts mace" - Jason says Not yet Steph." situation.

Але питання було не в цьому - питання було, як витягти його з-під куль, що полилися на нього з усіх боків. Хоча треба віддати йому належне - для підлітка в уніформі, яка б порушила дрес-код найліберальнішої школи міста, він приземлився дуже професійно, не перестаючи рухатися ані на мить. Він вибив револьвер з велетня, що був найближчим до нього, й заскочив за спину його партнеру, під костюмом якого проглядався бронік. Але залишалося ще з дюжину людей. І так, хоч дехто з них розлючено з переляку оглядався, шукаючи Бетмена, а хтось вже дав втікача, інші стріляти не переставали.

Стеф вилаялася собі під носа та вистрілила гак з пускового пістолету в будівлю навпроти, а потім злетіла по кабелю вниз. Робін у ретро-костюмі - такий носив Найтвінґ та ще другий, мертвий - скористувався необхідністю супротивника перезарядити обойми та знову перейшов в рукопашну. Стеф приземлилася на того, хто зайшов до нього ззаду. Він обернувся на звук, за півсекунди окинув її оком, та повернувся до справи: набивати писаки злодюгам.

Вони не стали спина до спини, й не вдаряли одночасно в пику одному й тому ж злодію. Ні, вони обидва рухалися кожен в своєму напрямку, й не можна було зупинятися, бо це б значило дати час й тим, з ким вони билися. Один влучний постріл - два влучних постріла, й з ними було б покінчено. Але в Стеф виникло відчуття єдності, ніби вони працюють в тандемі.

Коли всі, хто залишився битися з ними, були повалені та зв'язані, хлопець повернувся до неї та простягнув руку:

- Дякую. Ти новенька? Я Робін.

- А Бетмен швидко працює. Я носила цю уніформу ще буквально вчора, - штирханула його пальцем в груди Стеф. - Хоча я це вже знала - бо теж отримала пропозицію роботи чи не наступний день, як мій попередник вийшов у запас. Звісно, мій костюм мав довшу туніку. Й рукава. Й штані.

- Це шорти! Шорти. Й що ти маєш на увазі, вчора? Я є Робіном вже чотири роки!

Підозра заворочилася в Стеф.

- Окей, здається, той удар по голові, що ти пропустив...

- Не пропустив, то було спеціально! Спеціально, він пройшов по дотичній, а я зміг обійти його захист...

- Дався на взнаки. Давай, протокол по струсу. Хто зараз президент Штатів?

- Рейган.

- Рейган? Будь ласка, скажи мені, що ти просто не цікавишся політикою. Рейган!

- То хто ж?

- Лекс Лютор!

Очі в хлопця стали розміром з колесо бетмобілю.

I was reading DunMeshi and was so confused by this phrase that I decided to look it up

(Do correct me if you think this isn’t accurate cuz I just used google)

But I find it frankly hilarious that Chilchuck is using slang from various parts of the British Isles out of nowhere in the last volume??

(I’ve now had someone explain to me that apparently it’s not uncommon for certain uncommon types of informal Japanese to be translated as slang from specific areas, typically around Britain, in English)

First of all I’d alr seen people jokingly headcanoning him as Irish on here (which was an idea I absolutely love)

ALSO I come from a part of the UK where I’m very familiar with the term ‘git’ but had never heard of a version with an e and I also had no idea it meant the same as ‘bastard’

(I have considered that this could just be the regular meaning of the word ‘get’ but I thought it wouldn’t grammatically make sense here so I assumed it was slang esp cuz he would totally call someone a git)

Anyways I’ve checked other translations and it’s not the same so I find it so funny that this one (which I’m pretty sure is the official English translation) included it

Life is so cruel because Kino no Tabi is so good but I can’t even recommend the books to anyone because only the first volume was ever translated and it’s been out of print for presumably over a decade. Plus part of what makes it so good are untranslatable (into English) qualities of the Japanese language such as the general avoidance of gendering Kino.
