Flamingo Las Vegas just got hotter. Flavor and flames are coming to the resort this summer with the addition of Gordon Ramsay Burger.

The Strip is rife with celebrity restaurants of all stripes, from super high-end experiences to grab-and-go brand extensions, and I certainly had my fair share of spots I visited on my trip. 

I don’t dislike Gordon Ramsay, as I love his original BBC Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and some of the early episodes of the Fox iteration, but I’ve never been one to get into is a solid book with approachable recipes that are still in our rotation to this day, so I know the man knows his food. All that said, I wasn’t stoked to go to Gordon Ramsay Burger in Planet Hollywood simply because at the time, I wasn’t in the mood for an enormous burger, but one of M’s colleagues really wanted to go so I went for it.  I was pretty starving when we got there because it was 2:30-ish, and even then, the food wasn’t great. The Fish and Crisps sandwich was completely over-the-top (and priced to match for a sandwich) but it was pretty tasty, but it’s not a place I would readily revisit or recommend  With all of the other options available, it wasn’t worth the time or the money, but YMMV.

I looooooove kitchen nightmares US it’s one of the only things that’s ever been improved by yanks getting their hands on it but there’s far too many episodes about some woman crying bc she’ll never live up to her dead parents’ dream of getting Stinky Jack’s Burger Shack a Michelin star. The Great Leyndell Grill-off

A tad late to the party, but my addition to the Miq-Donald’s AU:

Mohg succeeds in kidnapping Miquella, and Finlay proposes a grill-off to win him back (bad publicity for Malenia to slaughter their competitors, ya know?)

Anyway, Eleonora accepts before Varre can stop her and the game is off! As the only professionally trained fry cook around, Boggart is let out on probation to judge. Of course, he just ends up going Gordon Ramsay on both sides.

“YOUVE GOT TO BE (redacted) JOKING! THIS SHRIMP IS SO (redacted) RAAAAAWWW, I JUST SAW IT SNIPE A TARNISHED HALFWAY ACROSS THE SWAMP!”

And of course, Mohg gets called an idiot sandwich. In the end, Boggart takes Miquella with the explanation, “poor bugger deserves some proper grub.”

Boggart returns him within the week (he just can’t stand the subtly judgmental stare)

AvA/AvM and the Kitchen Headcanons

SC: He can draw delicious food easily, but it’s more like take-out than cooking. If cooking in Minecraft or non-drawn supplies, he can only make basic meals like sandwiches.

Red: He’s a mediocre cook, but refuses to step foot into the kitchen once they saw eggs in the refrigerator.

Yellow: Banned from the kitchen, not because they can’t cook, but because they somehow managed to take apart the fucking furnace.

Green: He is definitely a good cook, but be prepared for a shit ton of spice.

Blue: The person who everyone begs to cook for them. Also a great baker, but everyone knows his cakes are filled to the brim with netherwart.

Purple: They are a great baker and cook, though I feel some trauma is associated with the kitchen.

King: No. Once he had Gold, King forgot his cooking skills and relied on fast food instead. Wouldn’t be surprised if his crown was the same ones given at Burger King.

CO: He’s a meh cook. He’s the type to pour the seasoning in before the ramen.

DL: As much as I could see them burning water, I could also see him rivaling Gordon Ramsay? They are a hit or miss with their cooking.
