Court of Owls! Danny Phantom
A couple of possible scenarios:
- Danny helped found Gotham, but had to leave due to his ghostly duties or whatever. He comes back and boom, membership to an exclusive murder cult moon lighting as Gotham’s fucked up zombie version of the Illuminati. Bonus points if Danny was also somehow involved with the literal Illuminati. He’s so confused but there’s like a bunch undead ducklings following him.
- Danny somehow got adopted by a member and accidentally initiated a hostile takeover. He has no idea what’s going on but the Owls give him the creeps. Bonus points if Dani figures it out and infiltrates the Talons or something.
- the above but Danny 100% knows what’s happening and the hostile takeover was intentional.
- bonus points for both of the above if Danny just says “hoot hoot” to piss people off lol
- Danny goes evil. Enough said.
- Danny isn’t evil, but he’s bored and he might as well join a secret society for the shits and giggles. Bonus points if he makes friends with Bernard and Tim and just conspiracy the shit out of the Court of Owls. He provides Benard and Tim with some really specific and accurate details and Tim’s like “what to do if my best friend is a part of an evil secret society?” And the answer is either join him or help him take it down from the inside.

I feel so sorry for the Twitter users who have just emigrated to Tumblr because when I saw the first Goncharov posts, I was confused for a few seconds before I checked the tag and nodded when I saw #unreality. I was “Ah yes, people are inventing stuff.” because all of Tumblr going insane on one specific thing is something I’m used to.
But I don’t think people who aren’t used to this strange environment are in any way prepared for that kind of craziness and oh boy, what a way to be introduced to Tumblr.

My boyfriend guessing the name of Batfamily members (unmasked):
Bruce: “Bruce Wayne! Easy!”
Selina: “Is that the one you said had a baby with him” “she’s one of the women yes but not who you’re thinking” “ah, sh*t…Vanessa?”
Stephanie: “…You drive me crazzzyy-” “NOT EVERY BLONDE IS BRITNEY SPEARS”
Tim: “Is he one of them bisexuals?” “What’s wrong with bisexuals?” “Nothing he just looks like it.” “What does a bisexual look like to you?” “*points* THAT” “Kay!” “Bill the bi.” (He refused to answer again)
Damian: “It’s giving violence” “Name?” “Rage”
Dick: “It’s giving f*ck boy.” “You don’t know his life!” “Chad.”
Jason: “That’s the guy I’m going as for Halloween, right?” “Yes but what’s his REAL name?” “(Says his own name)” “Fine. But I hope you know he dies at one point.” “Even better.”
Barbara: “She looks like a Beth? Bethany?”
Duke: “Joseph.”
Talia: “THATS the one you were talking about-“ “yes!” “Talbitha”

DC x DP Idea Thing #2
Child of Freeze AU
MR. FREEZE WOULD BE SUCH A GOOD DAD, YOU CAN'T TELL ME OTHERWISE.
Like
When I first discovered the DC x DP crossover, specifically when the realization sank in that Danny had ice powers, my brain immediately went into overdrive about that and added "WHAT IF DAD!FREEZE" into the mix here.
It's only now my brain wanted to expand on it.
We have the usual trope here that Danny's parents reacted badly to learning about him being Fenton, causing him to get experimented on briefly before running and later settling in Gotham. Here, they found out he was Phantom when his ghost form's appearance started to bleed through to his human form.
His black hair kept gaining white strands every day, his skin gained a paler hue with a tinge of blue only seen in the dead and the ghosts, his body temperature dropped while his heart beats were slower. Hell, he had felt some of the more subtle changes. How his eyes were sore and couldn't see properly for a week before they got better, how his ears became irritated as they shifted to be slightly pointed, and even his limbs throbbed in pain for a while.
At first, his parents chalked it up as a result of being exposed to ectoplasm for most of his life, leading to them practicing lab safety for once in hopes that these changes were temporary.
It didn't take long for them to come up with the conclusion the Phantom replaced their son and used his appearance as a disguise. At least, Maddie came to that conclusion and went immediately to dissect him.
Jack couldn't stand seeing Danny getting opened up like that. Even if he's still conflicted about whether or not Danny is Phantom or Phantom replaced him, he couldn't get the image and the cries of his son in pain out of his head. He helped Danny escape while he distracts Maddie.
Danny ends up coming to Gotham after flying as fast as he could while injured. He ends up finding a frozen place underground and proceeds to pass out as his body tries to regenerate/heal itself. He didn't notice the body suspended in a capsule nearby, having been too tired and too drained.
That's how Mr. Freeze finds him. A teen, likely 16 at most, severely injured, and surprisingly, not bothered by the sub-zero temperatures of his hideout.
I'm all for the idea that before Nora's illness came into effect, she and Victor wanted to have children. The two always had a bit of a soft spot for them anyways. (During the winter season, Freeze doesn't try to cause much villainy as this is the only time of the year he can go around without his suit. Instead, he ends up helping decorate Gotham with some Ice Sculptures and tends to entertain the children of Gotham if possible.)
Essentially, paternal instincts took over and helped Danny get better. Will he be surprised at the exponential rate Danny's healing? Yes, but he just chalks it up to him being a meta. Mr. Freeze will notice some of the unnatural traits present in Danny after all, but who is he to judge? Plus, Metas had it hard in Gotham, even if the no meta rule loosened up when Signal came about in the Batfamily.
Mr. Freeze now has two people to fret and take care of.
(Just- Danny gets adopted by Mr. Freeze, and later on, so do Ellie and Jazz even though she is already over 18 and needs to wear thick clothes)

i am so tired of men who reduce batman to a heartless, brutal man who thirsts for vengeance!!!!!! “can you imagine your batman comforting a scared child? if yes, congratulations, that’s a genuine batman! if no, you haven’t written batman, you’ve just written punisher in a funny hat.” like... we are talking about bruce wayne, a boy who was orphaned at the age of eight. a boy who was born and raised in a wealthy family, who has never known the hardships of life, watched his parents get murdered before his very eyes. bruce came to a realization how fragile humans are, how quickly the fire of mortality can be snuffed out. there’s a reason why he doesn’t kill, why his fighting is controlled and calculated to disarm without increasing the possibility of injury or death as much as possible, why he offers criminals a chance to reform and even land occupations at wayne enterprise. because he believes there’s always a non-violent solution. because he refuses to be swept and contribute into the cycle of violence and death. i’m aware of the trolley problem, and i’m sure he is too. for example, if he just got it over with with joker and snapped the clown’s neck so he wouldn’t have a chance to break out of arkham again and go on killing sprees, he could prevent massacres. but he chooses not to, because at his very core, he has hope. and that’s a very powerful, dangerous thing. it’s comparable to seeing the world through rose tinted glasses. batman isn’t perfect!!!!!! that’s why!!! he thinks of himself as a bad man!!!!!!!!! that’s why he is so tormented by guilt! his humanity, how fallible he is, is a core characteristic. he can’t shoot lasers from his eyes like superman and he’s not related to a god like wonder woman. he’s human just like the people he swears to protect!!!!!! that’s also why it’s so important to see him struggle. to see him make mistakes and try to atone for them. to see him be in the brink and midst of loss and how he managed to overcome or live with it. to see him age, weaken as the burden of the years befall on his shoulders. to see him become surpassed. to see him die. because that reminds the audience that he’s just a man. he’s flesh and bones and skin just like you and me. he’s just a man who’s odds were in his favor. that’s why in the comics for multiple instances we see him making emergency plans to subdue him and the league and his family in case they become corrupted or controlled, even through he knows the risk he’s taking. he knows that if anyone with bad intentions get their hands on those files, the consequences could only result in war. but he does it anyways, even if he could die from it, because he cares about gotham. he loves his city. batman was created because of vengeance but he’s grounded in compassion!!!!!!

Headcanon that Batman gained a ton of haters from Gotham parents right after he got Robin.
Parent- It's raining. Make sure you bundle up
Kid- No!
Parent- You'll catch a cold
Kid- No pants!
Parent- Please. I'm so tired. Just this once wear pants without making me fight you
Kid- Robin doesn't wear pants.
Parent- I don't care
Kid- He also doesn't have a bedtime
Parent-...
Kid- He also does backflips off rooftops
Parent-...
Kid- He also-
Parent, donning a ski mask and walking away, both to get away from their kid and to lure out Batman- I just wanna talk. I just wanna talk.

had talia not been character assassinated do you think she and bruce should have gotten back together?
no. i hate to use the word "phase" bc that would seem to diminish the importance of what's between them, which is something that will always persist esp as their continued dedication to the same causes and their respect for each other remains. but i do think realistically bruce should be a phase in talia's life. at least in terms of consummated romances specifically. i do love the idea of them remaining allies, close friends, and co-parents, but i think allowing talia to walk away from ra's and bruce in the first place has to stand for something in the long term. before talia went her own way i think it was easier to imagine a potential future where she ended up with bruce bc it felt like the desirable option. she was in this very debilitating position where she had little to no freedom to act on her own desires and goals, the embodiment of which was none other than bruce. so when you frame her situation pre-tower of babel, obv wanting to be with bruce was appealing. he was as much the love of her life as he was a means of escape and freedom and talia having the scope to then act on her own desires. i think that's what subsequently makes dc #750 (or is it #570. i never get the numbers straight and i'm too lazy to check) a really clever issue, actually, bc it acknowledges that and the fact that bruce once again setting her free bc of his love for her actually gives her the courage to step out on her own where she never has before. the fact that she has the option to go back to gotham with bruce and presumably have everything she's ever wanted with him, but she leaves it anyway, is a really huge deal. it's a statement. she loves him, but not more than she loves herself. and sure, what talia puts herself through during lex corp era certainly begs the question of whether her version of loving herself is really viable or in any way healthy, and i would love to see bruce help her recognize that she's not alone and that she doesn't have to do it alone to prove that she's capable. all of this i agree with. but i don't think that really means she and bruce have to fall back on their once-imagined dream of playing house. even if talia did find methods of going about her work that were mentally healthier i don't really know what'd be in it for her to play house with bruce in gotham. bc that is what it would have to be, for their relationship to work in any way. bruce will never leave gotham and son of the demon didn't need to explore that issue bc it was never going to get there but trust that corny as the line about naming the baby thomas or martha was it was reflective of a reality: gotham is bruce's entire life. no matter where he goes, no matter what he does, no matter who he works with, in the end he will always belong to gotham. and i simply do not think that would ever work for talia bc there is so much more she is capable of. while her vision is aligned with bruce's her scope of access and ability is entirely distinct of his own and there is so much more that she can do aside from relegate herself to gotham (hence why lex corp as an arc makes so much sense, bc it capitalizes on that scope). and yeah every superhero couple is kinda crazy and they have teleportation and shit but idk i don't think it's really a relationship for each party to go on long missions with ill-defined parameters that give them the worst sleep schedules known to man and occasionally they share a bed. it really isn't. and that's something that bruce and talia have to live with. their duty is always going to come first even though they both have a passion for civilian life. for talia to be in a relationship again she would have to stop having the liberty of being able to go wherever the work carries her and for bruce to be in a relationship again he would have to have the equivalent of a robin-wife. neither of these things is ever going to happen. so
