I was all of the sudden struck with the inspiration to make these four creatures recently (and expand my little bestiary too, I guess). I’ve kinda taken to calling them shadow sprites, though I’m open to other name suggestions as well! :D

I like to think of them as little witch’s familiars or helpers, who like hiding in dark, dusty corners and hidden spaces. They’re friendly, but very shy, quite and secreteive. They could be an explanation for the shadows than can be seen out of the corner of one’s eye every so often.
I also think that they like to collect the little bits and trinkets that get dropped on the floor and lost, which is why they all have mismatched button eyes and a couple random other things stuck on their bodies, it’s part of their perosnal collections! :)
They like to keep the other treasures they collect stashed away in places like attics, basements, underneath furniture, in closets, high shelves and cupboards (out of reach), in junk drawers, or even inside shoes (if they don’t get worn often), basically any place that gets overlooked or unnoticed.
Some of their favourite things to collect are: coins, buttons, beads, keys, bits of thread, small jewellery, fabric and paper scraps, leaves, pebbles, broken pottery or glass pieces, paperclips, bottle caps, nails and screws, washers and nuts nad guitar picks, just to name some.
Their hoards are often kept within their nests, which are mainly comprised of dust, lint and cobwebs (sometimes even pet fur), which gives the impression of having collected dust over a long period of time.
They also have an affinity for and enjoy the company of common house-dwelling insects and arachnids, such as: moths, house centipedes, cellar spiders, jumping spiders, harvestmen, and silverfish.

I made the three-eyed figure first, then the twins, then the octopus-like creature (quadrapus?) and lastly I made the wide guy with the eyestalks.
This was one of those projects where I was just creating, not caring about being precise or neat, just making a bunch of little wonky creature friends! <|:^)
